    OMG Z!!  -8 !!  I just can't imagine. Birdseed at 11 on Saturday. I'm there.  Will vote.

Andrea:  the place sounds good. Go for it.  If you can't get DH on board with rescue pup, no worries,,, you need a new family member!

Bobo:  where is the MD story???   We are waiting!!

Thanks for voting. You can vote once per day. I think it ends next week.

Puppy. I'm jealous but so not ready for one.

Waiting to see if dr office really closed or just delayed. Need an allergy shot. No big deal if skipped just that much longer to Maint dose.

LM is "pretending" to change clothes. Argghhh. She changes clothes 3 or 4 times a day. I'm finding it hard to keep up with clean vs dirty plus accidents. She takes care of them herself except for the puddle on the floor. And she doesn't always tell me.

I voted Z, she sounds like an amazing woman, I was glad to vote for her... I'm embarrassed to say I had to click around a bit to find KY lol. Hoping you get a bit of warm up today.

Andrea, I'm excited for you to be getting a new family member :) How was DD's birthday?

Bobo.. WTF?? You can't just tease us like that.. it's not very nice.

M, glad you had a great meeting.

Spookie.. omg that's quite the road trip! I bet totally worth it though :)

    S, you all done????

Glennie, any updates on the consults?

    How's everybody else doing?

Thinking I'm gonna get some Tim Tams on the way home..... TGIF.. back to work I go.

Yes, last Herceptin infusion yesterday. Got the referral for lymphedema consult. Have today and one more PT next week for balance issues! Will be glad when that is finished! Moving forward, maybe slowly, but I keep moving.

DD just blasted me because I won't let her move into my Va Beach house with her boyfriend. We are still fixing it up to sell and I really don't want them in there. She informed me that there is nothing wrong with me now and I just don't want to work. Nice kid, huh? She not only suffers from entitlement, but also nastiness! She is a mean one. I told her she was out of line and she told me I was rude. God, I am tired. She sucks the life right out of me! Rant over! Time to go to PT. Have a great day all

Update: Was too emotional to tell you yesterday. Woke up with the bad nerve pain. Then both hands numb all morning. Felt really emotional about it. Went to Gentle Yoga. Bobo was there too. Afterwards I cried on her shoulder about my pain (thank you Bobo) And she made suggestions about what to do. So, tired of waiting for consults to call me, I called prick neurosurgeon's office to make appt. They ask questions: Name, birthdate, SS number. Long wait. Then nasty voice: I'm sorry, we can't reschedule you. I'm like WTF?? Me: I'm not scheduled. Calling for new appt. Nasty: Have you been here before? Me: No.

Nasty: we show back in 2005 that you were here under another name (my married name, it turns out) you refused to sign some of the paperwork and made a scene in the waiting room. So you are not able to be rescheduled.

WTF? So, I had totally forgotten that 10 f**king years ago, I had made an appt to see him. TEN YEARS AGO. I'm being black-balled for something that happened 10 years ago. I am generally not a person who makes a "scene", so I couldn't imagine what she was taking about. After a lot of thinking, I do remember not wanting to immediately sign some of the paperwork,,,, I think it had to do with releasing him of any responsibility if anything went wrong,,,, and they would not let me even see him for a consult w/o signing all the papers. So I left.

So I said: look, things have changed. 10 years ago, I was going thru a divorce (not quite true, that was really 2006, but was having martial stress then ) and I have a serious problem, a cervical synovial cyst. Can I be reconsidered as a patient?

Their answer: we'll check with the doctor and get back to you.

I was totally floored by this. The fact that they have kept my name on file for 10 years and holding that incident against me is just incredible. As of now,, there has been no callback,, and I'm not expecting one. After talking to one of my co-workers and to Bobo,,, I have decided that, even if they would take me back as a patient,, I would always feel like a 2nd class citizen with them. Like I begged to get back in their good graces. And I'm not playing that game. So the hunt is on for a new neurosurgeon.

M: I'm checking out this one guy and he went to the University of Glasgow!! Perhaps that is a good sign.

Z: Hope you get to the allergist!! Voted !

S: YAY on the last infusion!! Bummer on DD's attitude. In the bag for PT. Keep us posted on LE consult.

Did not wake up with nerve pain today. Good. Only numbness. Boooo, but better than pain. It's just weird how it will wear off towards the afternoon. Sleeping is definitely a problem. The position must put pressure on the bad area and it takes a while to wear off??

**waving to all** Must get some stuff done before work time. Thanks for listening to my woes.

    Bobo: where is MD story????

Glennie, WTF?? You don't need a herk like that anyway!! Find yourself a decent person, not an egotistical ass. Seriously! They think they are God or something.

Do you think your bed could be the problem, or adding to it?my lower back nerve pain is worse at night when I am sleeping. But when I was in Canada it didnt bother me. I think we need a new bed.

Thanks for the encouragement about the puppy. I just feel so guilty not adopting a dog in need.

DD's birthday was uneventful. Stuck home for snowday. And again today. At least she liked her cake.

S, is balance issue due to infusion? I hope you get relief.

Glennie, I get it. When making my first appt with BS, snotty receptionist runs a check on me.

Oh, you have an outstanding bill with another doc in our network. You need to pay that before we can schedule you, call this number to make payments.

I call. I'm hot, I KNOW I don't know anybody in BayCare a cent. Oh, yes, you owe Dr F 12.95. WTH????? He closed his practice, is now in Dubai!!!!!!!

I PAID THAT YOU IDIOT well, let me look further. OH! Yes, it is paid. I'll fix that. Mark as paid in full. Yeah, you do that.

Call BS back, snotty person checks again. Ok, fine. When can you come in? All sugar. Bitch!!!

3 years later, I still don't like her.

    So find another! Assholes!

this guy is really a jerk,, there is no doubt. Will find someone else. Just got called by the endocrine people, so I will have thyroid checked out on April 9th. Not really expecting anything there, but I guess it's good to see what is up with the nodules.

I have tried changing pillows, sleeping on bed wedge, trying to train myself to sleep on my back. Some nights are better than others but I can't really pinpoint what to do. If I catch the nerve pain immediately when it starts, and I change position to my back and do "chin tucks" I can often stop it before it gets too bad. but If I'm sleeping heavily,, I miss my window of opportunity.

I bet you wish you could bring that Canada bed home! I know that when I get a really good night's sleep somewhere, I want to do that too. I have a sleep number bed,, and even with playing with it, I can't seem to get it really comfortable. There is a thread in the Stage IV forum about zero gravity beds,,, I'm going to read more on that.

Don't feel guilty about not adopting. You have to do what is right for your family. You are still giving a dog a home and that's uber important in my book. Just saw on Facebook where a divorcing couple in Ft Lauderdale,,, neither of them want the dog!! She's 8 years old,,, WTF???? A rescue group has her in a kennel and is desperately trying to find her a place to go. It's so sad. Needs to be an only dog home and no cats. Not easy to place the older dogs. **sigh**

I've been getting weird phone calls too. Mostly google. Have you been in touch with bond? We only text but I don't even know if he knows my whole or real name:)

Poor glennie. Definitely find a new one. Who keeps records that long? Can you flip your mattress or try sleeping at the other end?

Spookie. I would be hot too.

Andrea. Don't feel guilty. It still needs a home and they would breed anyway.

    S. Wtf? Just teenager angst? I love my LE therapist. Happy dance for last infusion.

Trying to nap. Kids playing. Dr open so have to dig out car. Road cleared. Jumped to 19 already:)

Hi I have a 9 year old Havanese. She weighs 15 lbs; flies in the cabin with me. She is great in NYC apt, loves all the dog parks. She is from a breeder in FL. Havanese are from a small gene pool, so I looked for a breeder who shows there dogs, assuming they want healthy dogs to show. There is a Havanese rescue site online that is great. Dogs are rehomed for many reasons. The site provides info about the dogs - likes other dogs or happy in a home without kids etc. Great for choosing the right dog for you.

And those poor Beagles? I know only one in the city she is loud and snaps at every person or dog she sees. Pulls her owner everywhere. I often think they need more space than the typical NYC apt.

    Best of luck,

    Barbie

G- so sorry about the dicktor and your feeling badly! They shouldn't treat anyone like that! Yes, time for a new dr. We definitely need to put the "pox" on him!

A-The balance issue is due to the neuropathy in my feet from my first infusion in June '13. The PT released me today. Getting a puppy from anywhere is a big deal. I have been involved with a rescue group for years and went to a breeder. It was a family choice as we just couldn't deal with the issues that can come with a rescue. Ryan is a pound puppy and has enough issues for 6 dogs! Don't ever feel guilty about your decision!

I too get robo calls from Texas. Lots of scams going on right now.

Z-I hope the boy is feeling better. So sorry you have to go out in the cold! The news had pictures of the storm you all had and it looked like a doozy! (I think they were trying to make us feel better as we don't have it nearly as bad!) DD is too old for teenage angst! She is 21 going on 22. Her freaking boyfriend is 36! She needs to grow up already! She can be meaner than anything and tries to badger me into giving her what she wants. But saying I am lazy and need to get a job was just over the line.

Spookie- I have never heard of a physician's office pulling that crap. I would have wanted to bitch slap her! I am speechless!

I know I need a vacation! I am now seriously over everything!

Do we want to stay in a haunted hotel in NOLA? I hear the Olivier House hotel is very haunted! And it is right in the heart of the French Quarter. **thinking of more exciting things than my health issues**

    http://olivierhousehotel.com/

I've had a lot of weird calls too, but none from TX. I think it is a lot of robo-calls.

S: you are welcome to come down here for vacation! Ava loves company!! She will want to put her head in your lap when you sit on the couch. I'll tell her not to sit on your poor feet.

Must run a few errands before work. Back later.

SC60 - So sorry for what your DD is putting you through,  I have to admit my son and my current DH are the best things that ever happened to me ....but when my DS was 13-17 I really contemplated sending him off to boarding school (smart mouth , entitlement and selfish issues) about 2 months ago he said to me "I am surprised you did not kill me growing up , I said trust me there were some close calls".

Andrea - Hope the new dog works out

Glennie - OMG freaking Dicktors......So sorry and I hope you find a new good one.....YOU DESERVE Better

Zills - I hope spring comes early for you

Bobo- I am peeing over you secretly laughing about Dex.

Again nothing is new but snow . I cannot complain given what NDgirl, Idesim and Zills are dealing with this winter

SC, If your daughter is 21 and wants to live with her boyfriend, she can do that on her own with no aid from you. It should not matter to her whether or not you work. She should be working to get what she wants.

I agree about teens. I spent a lot of DS teen years chanting 3 more years and I can kick him out; 2 more years and I can kick him out. Funny thing, he totally changed for the better the minute he was old enough to kick out.

Perhaps there is no MD story. Bobo was just trying (sucessfully) to get our minds off other things.

Got to get to work; still cleaning and it's my last day to get things done.

My DD has some issues. I guess most teens do. But some days .....

Glennie, what the heck? April 22? Now you know what it is like in Canada...you wait forever to see a specialist.

Barbie, I think Havanese are adorable, but hard to find a breeder.

Haunted hotel sounds interesting. As long as there are no bedbugs...ghosts or alive. My DH is going down there in April...so jealous.

I love watching the Ghost Wisperer, but really don't want to bump into any! No haunted hotels-I will have nightmares and not get a wink of sleep!

Yes, at 21 DD can pay and make her own way! I think that is what galled me the most! I never would have asked my parents to be a party to my living with someone. If you can live with someone, you can find your own place to do it! She knows she has stepped over the line. Was all friendly later. Too little too late.

Wish I could come down Glennie. I go to my disability hearing on the 22nd of April. I am so over that whole ball of wax! I am so sorry you have to wait until then to see the dr. It's like that around here too!

Yeah well, you didn't have to share it, Spookie! :)

Glennie, absolutely not.. no friggin way am I staying in a haunted anything. You're out of your mind!

WTF? End of April?? That's ridiculous... but omg wtf with the dr's office that remember you having a "scene" who the hell actually documented that in a file???? Don't go back there.. that is ludicrous... I can see an unpaid bill popping up and of course they should have your allergy lists.. etc... but something as unprofessional as that being logged in the systems is unbelievable.

Crap what some of you guys have to deal with.. I've dealt with 3 separate hospitals and I haven't come near the experiences some of you have with the medical community. Of course foremost in my mind is DP.. I read her whole back story and it just seemed that no matter what she went to them with, she just couldn't seem to get cooperation.. maybe it's just me.. but that's the feeling I got.

Z, as always your description of LM is making me smile... I know you don't find it amusing most of the time, but she is just adorable. I love that she takes care of her clothing after an accident, but not the puddle :) That's just precious.

I don't think the phone call was Bond.. he has no reason to have my # and no reason really to call me.... i did give DP mine & Joe's #'s when she was talking about doing the lists.. it was just weird to be getting a call that showed Texas is all. I made a donation to that (Wags?) thing, but still I doubt he'd call over that.

Now I can't remember if I gave it to Wren or not.. wren if I haven't, please let me know lol.

I'll be back in a bit.

Yes, Andrea,,, pick up S on the way!  That would be awesome.

S:  we both have BIG appt's on the same day!  In the bag!

OK, we will scratch the haunted hotel!!  We will find non-scary place to stay.

So since it is taking me so long to get to my first neurosurgeon appt,,, next week, I'm calling someone else to make my "2nd opinion" appt!  Because I do not want to wait 6-8 weeks after 1st appt for 2nd opinion. Just have to decide whether I want to see the guy in Jacksonville who my neighbor recommended (not on my insurance)  or go to Ocala for unknown guys who are on insurance.  Going to check with former co-worker who now works in Ocala to see if he knows anything about those guys.  Hoping he is working this weekend so I can IM him.  I could go to Shands Teaching Hospital here in town,, but that is insurance nightmare for me.

S:  yes at 21,, DD can take care of herself. I was out of the house and putting myself thru college at 19, so she can definitely support herself.

L:  yeah,, can you believe that "That information" was in their computer system after all this time??  OMG!  My jaw hit the floor. It was a total WTF moment. Never had anything like this before.

Hi all, no haunted hotel for me. I love scary stories, but don't like the idea of staying in haunted place.

I do have a really weird phone story for you, though. I have always been a reader of books by psychics etc and Bec bought me one by John Edward, for my birthday one year, I met him at the airport once, but that's another story! I was lying on my couch reading a chapter about how our loved ones can sometimes make electrical things turn on and off and they can sometimes make phone calls. I remember putting the open book on my chest and I said out loud "Dad, why don't you ever phone me?" of course my Dad had passed many years before that. I lay there for a couple of minutes and just as I picked up the book to read again, the phone rang on the table behind me. I jumped about 2 feet off the couch and when I lifted the phone, there was just lots of noise and crackling, no voice, just whooshing, like I hadn't ever heard before, or since. I have no idea if tht was a call from my Dad on the other side, but wow, talk about timing!

Glennie, I am dusting ff that power suit, who the fuck, do these people think they are? I am constantly amazed at the bad manners, lack of professionalism and downright lousy attitudes of people working in the medical profession. Good for you, setting up a second opinion, before you even get the first one!

Sc, no way,no how, should you let DD and the boyfriend move into that property. I am speaking from experience and it was a bitter lesson for me. I let Bec move into a lovely unit I had, told her she could pay the rates and the body corporate fees, but to save the rent and she could buy her own place, with a healthy deposit in a few years. I thought I had it all figured out till along comes fucktard, wussbag, asshole boyfriend, ( can you tell I didn't like him?) they want to move in together so muggins here, says ok he can pay a few bucks a week toward costs so long as he looks after the beautiful, fair size, courtyard garden, that I set up from scratch. Long story, short, Bec never did save anything, she did pay the costs as agreed, but dickbrain was never forthcoming with his contribution and when I visited after many months, the garden was a jungle of weeds and neglect, he had never lifted a finger to keep his side of the bargain. Bec received a tirade from me too because she let him get away with it and hadn't done it herself, either.

Bec had a bad accident soon after that and shattered her ankle, that poor excuse for a human, did nothing to help her, so I put my foot down, told her she was coming home with me and I kicked the dweeb to the curb, then I sent him home to his Mother, who needed good kick in her proverbial, for raising such a useless man. I get mad every time I think about it! Once Bec was all healed and back on her feet, literally, I sold the unit and she moved into her first rented apartment. It sure wasn't long till she realized, what a huge mistake she had made by not saving and looking after the unit as we had agreed. Too late she cried!

Oh yes, 21 is plenty old enough to be looking out for herself, I am always amazed by the bloody sense of entitlement these kids, or young adults have. I call it the age of "What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine!", some of my friends have some really nasty pieces of work for kids. I had the odd time when Bec would really disappoint me with things she would say, but I always found that giving it back always hit the spot with her, she could cut me to the quick and we'd have a huge confrontation, where you could cut the silence with a knife, but I never back down. We laugh about it now and she tells me how furious it would make her that I stood up to her nonsense and she couldn't win.

I agree with ldesim, our DP was at the mercy of these medical fucktards for too long, I just couldn't understand how it could be so bad. It was dreadful on every level. Like you ldesim, I haven't had any issues at all with any of the Medical team, or the Hospital.

Z, I know it must drive you mad, but LM makes me smile with her antics. The thought that goes into this dressing and undressing and then leaving the puddle for you!

    Lovely pic Spookie!

Missing ndgirl, she must be having fun with the grandkids.

Must be off, waving to everyone, clean up after the damn birds again....M x
