Holy crap, ldesim I nearly choked when I saw that, what on earth is she thinking! Where is she? no one else is topless, did she hijack the face painter at that event? OMG that's awful!

Just got back form Tai Chi, followed by coffee at a cafe overlooking the Island, Great fun, lots of ladies I haven't met before. The Tai Chi class isn't the continuous martial arts style I have done before, much simpler and definitely more suited to what I want right now. Very glad to have found something I like.

Fia, I bet you can't wait, till that house in the mountains is finished!

Yay, Diva loves the new puppy, awww, can't wait to see pics, so glad it has worked out! M x

EEEEK!!   My eyes!!  OMG,, that is awful.  Who let the dogs out, indeed,,,,,

M:  glad you liked your tai chi class! I am wondering what is different about it.

Tomorrow I am attending a continuing education class called The Pharmacy in Your Kitchen, An overview of medical and medicinal foods.    I've been looking forward to it for a while.  The bad part is that I'm working until midnight,,, then must get up early,, like 630!! cuz I must walk dog, etc etc,, and be there on the other side of town at 830.  Got the OK to start work at 5,, but still have to work until midnight tomorrow night.  So i'll be coping on little sleep!  I probably will not have time to pop in in the morning,, cuz I'll be busy getting out of here! But I'll see you tomorrow night.     Still 2 & 1/2 hours now left to work,,,,,,

Hello All .....Ok let me try not to miss individual updates I have been meaning to tell/ask you all

Z the birthday party and cake sound great ......... That Peppa pig stuff is so CUTE. You and Bobo are such good Moms, as I have stated before (I think) my only regret with my son was not spending enough time during the early years . I was too busy in Corporate America making sure I could provide for my son being a single parent for quite a few years when all he really needed was time versus material things. Also Z thank you again for the interactions with Bond and keeping us all up to date on DP. I know it was hard and I appreciate all you do for us on this thread. The red velvet cake is from scratch it was my great grandmothers recipe so the whole family has just been making it for years. It is supposed to taste somewhat like chocolate but to me Red Velvet has its own taste. I realize that this is not the "whats for dinner thread" but here is the recipe in case anyone wants it .............

    Red Velvet Cake

    1 cup REAL butter

    1 1/2 cups sugar

    2 large eggs

2 oz red food coloring (buy a one ounce bottle, use the 1 oz. Then go slow and fill the bottle with water and use that colored water for the 2nd ounce of food color)

    1 cup buttermilk

    2 cups all purpose flour

    1 tsp baking soda

    1 tsp vanilla

    1 tsp salt

    1 tsp white vinegar

    2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa (I use Hersey's)

Cream the butter with the sugar, add eggs. Add Cocoa and food color to creamed mixture. Add buttermilk and salt. Mix slowly and add the flour. Add the vanilla, vinegar and soda and beat 2 minutes more.

Use Bakers Joy (the best stuff ever ) and spray 2 9 inch round cake pans coating both the bottom and sides of pans well. Pout batter into pans and ake at 350 for 30 minutes. Cool for 1 hour and then frost with either Traditional Frosting or Cream Cheese ( we like cream cheese version better) .

    Traditional Frosting

    3 Tablespoons Flour

    1 cup milk

    1 cup butter

    1 cup sugar

    2 tsp Vanilla

Cook the milk with flour until thick. Let cool. Beat butter nd sugar until it looks like whipped cream. Add flour and milk mixture. Beat well. Add vanilla and spread over cooled cake.

    Cream Cheese Frosting

1 8 oz package cream cheese

    1 stick butter

    1 box of confectioners sugar

    2 tsp vanilla

Cream the butter and cream cheese, slowly add the confectioners sugar. add vanilla. If the frosting appears too thick you can add 1-2 tablespoons of milk

well that may be more than you all wanted to know ............... so now I need to "pull a Bobo" as I reply to myself.....................

    Ok Part 2

Bobo- you are absolutely right ................... She (Hair) has been getting away with that stuff for years but I am NOT going to do that stuff for her . So about you PLEASE go get your blood levels checked for thyroid B12 etc.......... After all you have been through with the surgeries it is no wonder you are exhausted. Then there is MD (who I am now renaming HANDY WIPE). FFS tell her she can shove a broom up her ass with a handy wipe /miracle cloth or whatever the F they are called on the other end .At least then she could be cleaning the floor at the same time she is wandering around stirring the endless shit pot she creates. Like I said both you and Zills as well as SC are great parents.............as that is ALL that matters

Dawny - I have named "her" HAIR simply because she is dumber than hair. I guess I also could have named her ass hat , why ass hat you say Well an ass hat adds no value either just like her. However Bobo is right it is so bad at first I just had pity for her now I have moved off of that and on to the other P word (PISSED)

SC- (damn I hope I have your new screen name right) You had cancer, you had exhausting treatments , and you are Fing tired and sick and tired of being sick .Tell your daughter. Its Cancer not a gym membership !! We don't get the luxury of choosing which days we are going to be sick or how long of a membership we are going to sign up for !

Andrea - puppy pictures please ..................Puppy breath is the best smell ever! I would wait till Tuesday also but not one minute longer ! In the bag for quick GOOD results

Idesim - LMAO Cat Puke............... Ok for years I have had this idea. Make an alarm clock with only 2 options a dog puking or a cat tossing a hairball. I swear those 2 sounds can wake me from a dead sleep !! Wanna patent it with me . I swear we would be rich like the "Pet Rock" dude way back when . My sons reaction to the Cub comment was "SOB you had better be getting those shots......we can not even handle a Fing goldfish let alone a kid ..................... "Hair " replies .................What does a goldfish have to do with a cub , I googled cub and that's a baby.................. I am going to tan now" .................

Glennie - I cannot believe the freaking wait to see a specialist

Spookie - lunch lady days i am trying to picture your personality with a hairnet ! Also I must confess, I printed out your white winter picture and hung it in my office I need some hope that spring will be here soon

M - Yup you are right I cannot wait to move . All my DH says about "HAIR" and this is verbatim "Sooner or later he (DS) has to realize that the leopard will sag with age and then you have to talk to each other......at that point it will be game over, as her IQ appears to be less than the combined sum of her fingers and toes"

Wren - How did the meeting go at the shelter ............. They do NOT deserve you !!!

    ND - Where/how are you ?

Sorry if I left anyone out ............ I am behind.......................................... Instead of today's farm report or tomorrows weather I will close with .................

    Today's HAIR Report...........

ME: You can make the salad for dinner

HAIR: Is is a fruit salad

Me : No we are having lasagne, why would it be a fruit salad

Hair : Well I like fruit salad

ME: take out the vegetables in the crisper drawer , wash them, cut them up and mix them together

HAIR: Why do I have to wash the vegetables the are all in little packages,

ME: because I said so that's why.......................

1 hour later the alien spawn salad is born ........peels left on the carrots and water in the bottom of the bowl......................

HAIR: Have you seen my fingernail

ME : WTF do you mean have I seen your fingernail?

HAIR : Well I am missing my little fingernail and it was my special sparkle nail................. Maybe it fell in the salad

ME: Throw out the GD salad , get your ass in the car and go buy a tossed salad at the deli . We are eating in 15 minutes

HAIR : Well how much do they cost as I need to have enough money for 2 more tanning session this week

ME: If you don't go a fing salad you are not going to have to worry about tanning your ass because I will do that for you

Hair returns with the salad ........and states.................. They did not give me any of those little packages of salad dressing

DS tells HAIR: When Moms eye starts twitching you better get the hell out of the way ............... like RIGHT NOW

Ok thanks for allowing me to rant ................... Great only another 9 years on this arimidex !!!!!

    ***PEEING after reading Fia's update****

OMG,, you poor thing, having to live with Hair!  But your stories are hysterical!! You need to write a book!!! Best seller list, I swear.

and Handy Wipe,, love that new name too.  And the alarm clock idea is a great one.  Dog puking wakes me up instantly!  Amazing how that is,,,, no experience with the cats as I'm allergic.

Yes, it's a long freaking wait,,, be interesing to see how long it takes to get into see the next one for 2nd opinion. And getting the EMG scheduled is taking forever too. Am I in Canada?? Nahhhh, too warm for Canada.  **Look Andrea,, I made a Canadian joke**  Where are the puppy pictures?????

Ya know, I've heard those tanning sessions cause skin cancer. Oh, BAD me for thinking those thoughts!!!!!!

Like the alarm idea. I sleep through anything. Tornados, hurricanes, window shaking thunderstorms. A pukeing dog? Up yelling lets go outside.

I had some fun with the kids. We had French fries in those cardboard boats things. One girl always asked for one fry. Meaning a boat. One day I gave her 1 fry. The look on her face was priceless. Me, dead serious, but that's what you said! Then we both cracked up

OMG Fla. You are over estimating that IQ.

Bobo, I'm surprised you didn't spend your childhood in hospitals. MD is a perfect candidate for Munchausen by proxy. [To save people having to look it up, it's a mental illness where a mother gets attention by having a sick child. The mother is doing something to make the child sick and in some cases the poor kid dies. It is difficult to diagnose because the kid doesn't have symptoms of any normal illness.]

I agree that the puking alarm clock is an awesome idea. We don't need an alarm clock. The flickers start hammering about 5am. When one hit the flashing on the skylight, it sounded like a jack hammer.

Hahaha Spookie, one fry! You are absolutely right, those tanning machines are banned in commercial settings, here in Australia.

What is it about dog spew? We have no carpet anywhere other than my FoobMoire room, because carpet tends to eat up wheelchair wheels like quicksand, so we have either timber or slate tile and in the living areas I have a rug under the coffee tables. Where does Dx always puke, yep, right on those rugs, never on the timber or tile, what's that about? I vote for the fur ball or puke alarm clock, that would even wake a man, i think.

Glennie, I hope you get it all organized soon. I am looking forward to the run down on this course, it sounds interesting, but boy will you be tired.

Glennie there a many different styles of Tai Chi, some more difficult than others, more like a martial art. The one they are teaching here is the one they do with the factory workers in China and also as part of the exercise regime for the Chinese Army. It is one specifically for core strength and balance. They say it gives the workers an extra 5 years working life, if practiced regularly. The weirdest thing was that I discovered I had trouble balancing on my right side, the left was fine, but even though I had a weighted silicone foob in my bra, I couldn't keep my balance on my right side. Weird eh? The teacher thought it was more to do with my Chi, or life force that has been disrupted by the surgery and trauma, not sure I am buying that one. I will practice standing on my right foot, before the next class!

OMG, I used to love Cinnabon, the smell is like nothing else! Bahahaha 900 calories, that's 2 meals, so you can have one and your dinner!

Fia, you'll never be blocked by anyone here! Your stories are sensational! I couldn't stop laughing about the missing special sparkle nail and that salad failure. Who can fail salad? Your DH is a wise man, sagging leopard, conjures up some awful pictures. I love the twitching eye!

Hi everyone, OMG I have missed so much.... MD has a penis, poor Fia has a bad hair day or days, boy do I feel for you! You better come stay with me in North Dakota for awhile, I think spring has sprung.. beautiful day and more forecasted. DH and I finally got over the cold/flu and spent time with grand kids which was great but am pooped out now. Hubby went on snow shoes and I went for a long walk and felt good, buzzed up to Canada for Chinese food with friends and came back to play some pinochle so had a good day.

Zills, thanks for the Bond update, I had tea for her sendoff and also spread bird seed at our kids place. Was hoping to see a cardinal but no go, but a golden eagle flew by. The farmers/ranchers here are also calving and are thankful for the warmer weather so the babies can make it. In the neighbors yard was a dead deer killed by a coyote we are assuming, just sickening, guess it is natures way but I hate to see that especially in town.

Red velvet is my fav and that is the recipe I like too, the first cooked frosting is the only one I like, making me hungry but better not give in and bake one.

Sc, you do NOT deserve to be spoken to like that, I know kids can say hurtful things to us and then be sorry for it but dont know just how to apologize.

Andrea.. a new puppy Yay. Wishing you well with Barney, hope nothing serious, dont you just hate the waiting?

Glennie, hey good news for a new dr. hope it can work for you, why such a long wait.. geez so unfair.

Hi Dawny, how are you doing? Idesim, what a picture!! what is with some people? Is the snow all melted yet?

Ariom, your day sounds so beautiful. Hi Wren, I am so far behind reading all posts, but I am ok, just missing DP, this hit me hard, another young woman struck down by this disease, I hope they didnt say she lost her battle with cancer because I always hate that saying because I never figure it is a fair fight to begin with. Just made me think of my dil too much so I needed a break to get my feeling back in order.. if that can ever happen??

    Good Night All.

ps.. wondering how Stacey.. JS is doing anyone heard?

Why does nightfall bring with it so much fear and worry? I think I will call my BS tomorrow about Barney. I have a very tender spot now on my ribcage.

Definitely need to steer clear of dr Google.

On plus side, we are looking at houses to buy. I saw one in town Saturday that I love. But then my DH took me to see another on an acre just outside of town .He really loves that one.

Puppy update: you know how the first night with a new pup is the worst with lots of whining. Well, we solved that. Diva is sleeping with him in the crate. All is peaceful and calm....so far.His name is Teddy.

Andrea, you wouldn't believe it, I have been bothered recently by a real tender spot on my ribs too, discovered it is right where my drain exited, I am thinking adhesion or maybe scar tissue.

Fia. No way would we ban you. Especially with recipes, hair stories and kind words:) thank you. That sounds like my red velvet recipe but maybe more cocoa? Never thought about reusing the dye bottle. Never seen the cooked icing recipe and nd seconds it. May try it for the bday. As much as LM loves cheese, she's not a fan of cream cheese or cottage cheese.

Nd. I completely understand you needing time to process and a break from bad news. We will be here when you're ready. Is Canadian Chinese different? It is in Ireland.

As long as there are no crying kids on the alarm. DH can't seem to hear that one. At least he used to not to. Not sure he's experienced the joy of puke in his toes. Maybe need to include some to increase reaction time:)

Me I found another LM puddle with my sock feet. Ugh. Had two! poop accidents. I wouldn't let her go to basketball. Time change and sleepovers don't mix. I should have bribed them to nap.

I stayed in the car when we got home since LM is such a light sleeper. Calf was born in the middle of the night. There are 9 in the back barn. One more to go there. Not sure of the status in the front barns. Still waiting on one mare to foal.

Making the big bed swap today. Boy sleeping on old mattress. LM on temperpedic type adjustable bed given to me for recovery. It was wonderful but now hot and a pain. Too good for LM to have accidents in even with a waterproof sheet.

Hope she's just tired and not getting sick with those accidents. Her bottom stays pimply even with just a premium diaper at night. Then her skin stays red/purple where the spot was. Poor baby. So going to try panties at night. Never had this problem when she was a baby in these diapers. Wish me luck!

Yes Andrea nights are the worst. Waiting sucks. Good thing you already have an mo appt. let the puppy distract you!

Hiya Z, just heading to bed, saw you'd just been here. Boy have you got lots going on there with all this birthing and snow. Poor LM, she's having a tough time with the toilet training stuff.

Oooh yuck, I remember the finding the pee, in my socks, even worse, bare feet, Colin's old dog Gizmo! Dex is the prolific puker, we go for a walk, he comes in has a drink of water and heaves up on the floor, happens every time. I am convinced he has reflux because you see him burp and often he will just open his mouth and he throws up. There's none of that dog heaving stuff with Dex it's right there, no drama! LOL

I hope you've done everything you have too do and can have some down time this afternoon! Take it easy M x

I also mentioned to Bond in my email that we called him Bond for a reason. I thought he already knew about that from DP. He signed off as Bond when he answered me too. I am wondering how he is doing now and how it all went on Saturday.

checking in quickly.  No Teddy pics yet?  *sigh*  Love his new name.  SOOOO glad Diva has taken to him!  That is awesome. So happy for you and your family. Good luck with house hunting. I hope you find something you both like. Keep us posted on Barney.

M:  one thing I learned in yoga and from my exercise coach.  One side of the body may perform better than the other, it is just natural. It is very possible that you can balance on left foot better than right foot. I can too!  Excellent that this class is for core strength and balance. My coach is working ours for balance and leg strength. He told me one of the ladies tripped over a curb stone, but yet didn't fall, she was able to keep her balance and she attributed that to her tai chi work.

ND!!  We've missed you. Glad you are back and  having Chinese food in Canada!  I have cardinals. A golden eagle? Wow.

Z:  don't know what to say about accidents. Maybe time change is throwing her off. I feel out of whack myself. Walked Ava in the dark just now. She doesn't like the dark, but I gotta get to this course.   You have a lot of baby animals!  Can we have some piccies, please??

Will report in later. **waving to all**

Zills just a note about the frosting, my recipe is the same as Fia's except for the sugar and mine calls for powdered sugar, but think both would work. I heat the milk and flour together in a double boiler until thickened, cool a little and add butter, p.sugar and vanilla and beat until creamy. I have had a flop with this too but not often, but keep in mind I am not a good baker and I dont like to bake.. just eat it! Hope LM is doing ok, love the story that she changes clothes many times daily, having 3 little gds I just laughed as one of ours is still doing that and she will be 6 in May, wonder what will be like at 15??? Maybe PRB can tell us about that.!

Fia, I LOVE the name Handi Wipe! It is so much better than MD! Bird, there was no need for Munchausen syndrome, as I was sick all the time anyway. Turns out (I found out after college) I am allergic to many foods. Many foods I was eating my whole childhood!

Fia: MORE HAIR STORIES! MORE HAIR STORIES! I DEMAND MORE HAIR STORIES! That was absolutely the best story ever, about the salad, and you tell it to perfection.

    Andrea, how is Barney? X
