Well I told the gurls to open their window because room was getting stuffy. While they were out I sprayed room with febreeze.

Now it is morning and I just heard someone taking a quick shower. Fingers crossed. The girls are 14. Tough age.

If she is staying for the weekend:  can you say something like:  "rules of the house. everyone takes a shower before bed."   Or some other time frame.  Get DD in on this too, so she doesn't look surprised. That is a hard thing to broach with anyone and I know you don't want to embarass her.  Maybe talk to the school nurse later in the week so she could broach the subject with her.

ND, in the bag. {{{hugs}}} Andrea, I am so sorry about the situation with your brother. I feel like I know how you feel.

Andrea, I think it depends on how much you want to get involved. I think it's right to announce showers in the house. And our M is right. But, moreover, it sounds like you should talk to someone at the school -- I agree with that. She's only 14, and I think she probably needs some help. Poor girl. That said, I would not be able to stand the smell in my house.

Dawny, Hi Betty! **waving** Of course you are blonde, you beautiful blonde sunshiny thing! :) I am reading a great book, I wonder if you would like it.

Well, got sick in yoga after blood test that morning. Ran errands like a maniac all day after, had to leave yoga early, vomited a little bit. I did not enjoy it. It's a drop in the bucket next to what's going on with our group, though. Off to yoga again this morning, then DLLP and I are having a date! An afternoon date. The kids have a special playgroup once a month. We are going to see fifty shades of gray, and sneak in lunch!

Standing by regarding the dessert buffet. Andrea is right -- Hair could be worse, and we know exactly how -- but, Fia, don't let that dissuade you from your high-calorie plans! I hope you post pictures. :)

Wow, a LOT going on... there is going to be a lot of bag hopping!

Bobo, can you please get yourself a little rest? When are you getting the results? Hope you enjoy your date!! I read 50 shades, all 3 installments.. it was just ok.. I didn't get the hype and kept thinking it would get better.. it really didn't.... I don't think I'll bother with the movie.

Andrea, I would try to have a little chat with the girl or maybe your dd can.. the poor thing might not have anybody in her life that she can rely on, there must be something going on in that household... it does not seem normal to me for a 14 yr old girl not to wash. Of course my mind runs to maybe she's scared of something.... or maybe as Wren says, the conditions she lives in might now allow her to do so. I think alerting the school might be a good idea as well... I feel so bad for her.

More bruising.. that is so strange. That is a very sad story about your brother.. do you ever think about trying to contact him? She must really have some issues to be so insecure. Good on you being assertive!!!! I struggle in that area at times as well.. more so in other areas in my life than with medical.. I'm ok there.

M, I so wish I could have gone to the garage sales with you, I love poking around those things.... I'm glad you had a couple of nice finds!

Glennie! So glad (???? ha!) you have carpal tunnel.. so strange to be typing that lol. Isn't it funny the dickhead's office is the one that gave you peace of mind. Are you going to keep the 2nd opinion? Seems to me like you had all your issues addressed.

ND, I'm sorry you and DH are dealing with this crap... it's going to be a long week, I'm sure and we'll all be there with you! *hugs*

Fia! Dying to know how last night went and I bet you are happily shopping and lunching now :) Your DS is gorgeous!! Especially love his eyes and Hair is beautiful.. especially in the 1st picture... she's not as pretty in the 2nd picture. I had to laugh because what I visualized was so off base.. for one thing she is not orangy or bleach blonde :) Standing by for full report!

Z, you always amaze me... here you are sailing boats in mud puddles and washing the kids multiple times a day, when most mother's would scream at their kids about not playing in the mud :) When is LM's party... her bday is next week, isn't it?

In the bag for Andrea on Monday, ND for the entire week & Spookie whenever she gets her appts, which I hope is soon!

That's about all I've caught up on so far... feeling a bit of spring fever and starting to do deep cleaning... soon it will be here! Oh! We lost about 70% of the snow... and there was grass growing under it? Not lots, but little tufts here and there.. bright green growth. How odd is that?

L, I think you nailed it. She was much better after the shower, but of course her clothes were smelly. I dont know how the other gurls in the room can stand it. She lives in another state and is home schooled.

In the bag for everyone too. Bobo, I tried to read the first SOG book, truly I did. But it put me to sleep. Hope the movie is better

Andrea, in the bag for your BS appt Monday. We've got to get to the bottom of that bruising. Speaking of which, enjoyed 50 shades of grey. It was porn, but not the kind you think. It was house porn. Beautiful sheets porn. Beautiful bathroom fixtures porn! I don't get out much, and I was just happy to be out!

Logged on to have dessert and MIL update, and there isn't one yet! Idesim, don't hold your breath for a rest. The kids have Spring Break for two weeks. I have them all on my own this week, and must somehow work at same time.

Oh my giddy Aunt, 50 shades, I never in a million years, would have thought you'd go to that one Bobo! I spent about 4 hours on the first book, 4 hours of my life, I'll never get back! LOL I think I talked about it here, at the time, OMG, I wouldn't have made it through the fist encounter with that manipulating, idiot and he'd have been kicked to the curb, after a, short, hard slap, to the side of the head!LOL

I am thrilled to hear that you and DLLP had a date, though! What was lunch?

So sorry you weren't well at Yoga are you better now? Darn it, Bobo, another 2 weeks of juggling work and kids! Wish I was closer, I'd love to hang out with them, for the time you're at work.

I was hoping for Fia updates about the MIL too! I too was surprised that Hair A. Wasn't a bleached blonde and B. Wasn't crispy tanned. I saw the perfect picture for sun damage over time, on FB, will see if I can post it.

Andrea, I am glad it kind of got better, shame she had to put the same clothes back on. I guess she is a little isolated from the girly stuff, if she is home schooled and living with an older man.

i am hoping for an update that the bruising is disappearing again. I am sorry too, about your Brother.

ldesim, the garage sales are great around here, we'd have fun! Sometimes I make a whole morning of it and end up at a cafe having a Big Breakfast, or a hot chocolate!

You made it through the 3 books? Well done, you! LOL

Z, I know it is annoying, all that washing and bathing, but the boats in the puddles and the mud, is fun stuff, that kids remember. You are a fun Mom!

I decided to bath and groom Dexter yesterday, while Colin was out racing model yachts. The grooming wass going fine till I made the same bloody silly error I did the last time, where the guard came off and I shaved a swipe on his shoulder down to pink skin, no injury, but bald on one section of shoulder. He look so nice, till you see that, I know it will grow in, but I just can't believe it happened again.

Cool and misty today, season is changing, but a week of pleasant weather expected. I am starting to get lots of leaves in the garden when the wind picks up.

Don't know what I will do today, I should be trying to do that Ebay stuff, that DP and I kept threatening to do. I stayed up till nearly 2 this morning reading DP's posts, from almost a year ago. As I was reading, I was kind of hoping Bond doesn't ever read it, it was such a terrible time for her, but she remained positive, clever and funny, as she shared it with us. I think it would be very hard for him, since I doubt he really wouldn't be expecting how raw and truthful, her posts were.

Well. I am off to shower and decide what I'll get up to today! Waving to everyone...M x

M! DLLP picked the movie, but really, it was slim pickings. Lunch was sushi smuggled in her bag. I love edamame and inari (also the princess' favorite). It is so nice to have three hours off. I too wish you were here, for many reasons! If you were here I wouldn't want you to babysit because I would want to see you too!

Love that you would give Christian Grey a smack! You know what? There is a scene where he says 'Roll your eyes again, and you will be punished.' DLLP and I both looked merrily at one another at the same time, thinking of our princess! Queen of the eye-roll! And then we began to laugh -- I know it sounds funny -- but, if our princess rolled her eyes at him (which she would), and he tried to 'turn her over his knee,' she would probably flip him over and throttle him! That Christian Grey is no bigger than a minute! Anyway, we couldn't help laughing at the thought of a princess eye-roll. I do not know what the big deal is. It was pretty vanilla. An ice cube? Really? That's, like, so eighties.

Poor Dex, he has a patch! He will not notice. He can have an extra cookie. If I were Bond I would definitely read the thread. There is no way I could help it. Hi Bond! Your girl is extraordinary. I cannot wait for the April QVC event. It is going to be a treat.

So embarrassing. Sick at yoga, a sweating and embarrassing mess, and then the next morning we had a sub and it was the same teacher! Anyway, I love her.

    Okay, having some plantain chips.

I cannot eat for prep and there are all these food commercials on TV.  So not fair. Must plan where to eat once the damn thing is over.

L:  I don't know if I will keep 2nd opinion or not. It is far away.  I'll wait and see how I'm feeling. Think there is more going on than just "carpal tunnel".  But I'll play along for now.  I read all 3 books too.  I knew we were sisters!

Poor Dex has a bald patch. Tell him that it's stylin'.

Andrea:  we are also sisters. I have one of those brothers too. His wife is pure evil. Have not seen him in 15 years.

Bobo:  hope you are feeling better! Glad you got to have a date!

back to the couch,,, **waving to all**

Hahahah, Bobo, That's ridiculous, Roll your eyes again and you'll be punished, I'd say, "speak to me like that again and you're dog food!" Yay to our Princess, she will know how to handle herself! I love to smuggle food into the movies too, always tastes better!

Yu're right Dex can't see his bald patch! I was tempted to put a Chinese character tattoo on it, but thought, do I really want to have to explain if someone thinks I have actually had my dog tattooed! I don't think so!

I am having a tough time seeing what DP went through, again. I think it may be a real shock, for Bond.

Glennie, I hate doing that prep stuff, not enough to refuse to have the test, but I get very whiny when I am not allowed to eat. I can go all day if I am busy, without eating, but being told I can't eat, is a whole other thing! LOL

Wow, there are so many people who have close relatives they never hear from. My ex MIL had a brother she hadn't spoken to for about 50 years. She finally went looking for him, when she was in her 80's. The reconciled, but I don't think either of them could really remember what started the rift in the first place. They got a few years, but all that time wasted, was a shame. I don't know any different, never having had any relatives other than my parents and no siblings.

I went into town to do a little food shopping, went to Aldi, but was a few days early for the things I wanted, I can never remember what day the catalogue starts. I also went to the big Chemist Warehouse, got myself one of the Scholl Diamond Velvet Smooth foot file thingy and lots of other bits and bobs. So now I will have to do a pedi and gel my toes, I think! Chat later....M x

Irish parade lasted less than 45 min. Rainy. Got to check out porta potties, bouncy house, petting zoo and more puddles!

    Irish fry for dinner.

Bday is Tuesday. Can't decide if she should wear peppa pig or st pats shirt.

Bond received a crystal pumpkin in the mail. Anyone send it? He's planting a tree for her tomorrow. A crepe myrtle. My fav.

I know this sounds silly. We have an extra cat. I'm sure it's Firebob's step sister? brother? Have only started seeing it since DP became an angel. Tonight was the third time. Reminds me of DP. I sure do miss her.

    It's so past my bedtime.

Bobo get some rest for Pete's sake. Maybe you had a virus? Stress? Lack of sleep? Puking is yucky no matter what!

Andrea. I had a friend in jr high who started shaving and then her dad quit buying razors. And she had BO until she got razors. Also may need some dial soap for stinky armpits. I needed to use it after BMX. Poor girl.

Thinking of you nd and DH.

    Good luck glennie.

Waiting for hair stories. I need a laugh!

I'm glad he's planting a crepe myrtle. We had one in Houston and I just loved it. We got one here that was supposed to be hardy, but lost it the first winter.

Zills, Wouldn't surprise me if DP wanted to pay you a visit. Let LM wear St. Pat on the 17th. She can wear Peppa Pig anytime. I should get some green sox. I don't have anything that is green. It has to go toward teal or turquoise for me to wear it.

Glennie, You have my sympathy for the prep. I'm still mad they didn't tell me what it would be like. It's pure luck I decided to leave work and go home. That would have been a real scene. 13 people and 1 bathroom. I need one in 2016 and have already started dreading it.

Thanks ladies. L, y brother made it clear his whole family (including his own son) are dead to him. No fight, he just decided we didnt exist one day and hasnt changed his mind in all that time. My heart aches for his son, and our parents. None of them deserved this. We have tried to reach out to him over the years. He has turned it down flat. I let it go many years ago.

Bruising is no worse today. Yellow hue with mottle dark pink/purple blotches.. I think it is improving.

Glennie good look with cleansing. And exam.

Bobo, glad you enjoyed the movie. Falling asleep, will write in morning

Wren, I love Crepe Myrtles too. There was one in the front garden of my Mother's house, with a beautiful big twisted trunk, it shaded her bedroom window and when it was in flower, people would stop to look at it. I will never understand why the new owners had it taken out as soon as they moved in, it was such a shame.

Wren that's just so wrong not to advise you properly about the prep for the test. I have had quite a few of these 'cause I had to have a polyp removed. When we have one of these booked, it doesn't matter how often you have had them before. you get a printed sheet with all the instructions and you have to go to the pharmacy for the prep supplies and they go through it all as well. Kinda' embarrassing, because everyone gets to hear you're doing a bowel prep and you get those pitying looks from people. LOL I can't imagine, not knowing what to expect and possibly doing it at work. If the prep you do, is anything like the stuff we use here, its just like a form of Montezumas Revenge and you can't be more than a few feet from the toilet, for a few hours!

The great thing about this test, if there can be an up side, is that you feel pretty good after it.

Glennie, I am in the bag for the test too! Just don't want to watch it, but I will bring stuff you can eat afterwards!

Z, I believe, if she could , DP would visit you. Sorry about your foot, is it something you need to have removed? I am not familiar with that.

Thinking of nd and her DH too!

That's a terrible shame Andrea, gosh we can never know what sets people off, sometimes. This kind of thing is, to me, similar to suicide, it comes out of nowhere and no one can ever figure out, why. That must be so sad for his son and for all of you. I am glad the bruising is fading, are you feeling any better about it?Sleep tight!

I just had a lovely long snooze on the couch with a fluffy blankie and as regular s clockwork, at 5.20pm Dex was there staring at me to wake up, he never misses, except for the 2 days i takes him to readjust, to daylight saving time. I have no idea why 5.20pm.

Colin has some new movies for tonight. Chat tomorrow! M x

Yes, the prep is miserable. **never trust a fart**  That's a Jack Nicholson line from some movie,, can't remember the title and it is so true while you are on the prep!! One more day,,,,   I am keeping busy, ran to Lowe's and Home Depot for more gardening supplies. Bought a really beautiful plant!!  Will post a pic later.  I swore I was going to home clean this weekend,, and yet,, I'm in the yard.  Oh well. Just a tad bit further from the toilet,, but I can still make it! OH and the other up side to the test, is you lose a few pounds quickly!  The scale is friendlier for a few days.

That is lovely that someone sent Bond a crystal pumpkin.  And crepe myrtles are beautiful!  I can't imagine why someone would dig that up.

Sounds like you had a good time at the St Pat's parade. Agree with Wren,, wear green. Peppa Pig on the next day.

Ava has her shamrocks to wear.

Hey All..................... Ok how to begin to explain ANYTHING that has happened over the past 48 hours. First Glennie I took plenty of pictures and then dropped my freaking phone in the sink of dishwater ................. Nothing is recoverable , phone contacts, photos................ So I will try and do my best and recap what I had pictures of ................... First........

Glennie , Wren , Spookie Andrea, ND in the bag.......... and anyone else I may have forgotten

Zills you know DP sent you that cat.......that's awesome .............

So glad Bond is planting a tree

Andrea I agree with Wren and others re DH friend have the school talk to her ..........

    So the Friday night dinner..................

Its an expensive meat place (yeah I know Bobo) food is good and HAIR talks to all of the guys and ignores most of their girlfriends. So good food and pretty drama free. However there are multiple courses and we don't get out of there until 10PM . So the dessert party here did not start until 10:30 pm .

    Dessert Party .........................

Given the fact that I went to diner I was not able to properly plate and serve the stuff as I had wanted wanted to but WTF. I managed to get the bowls of M&Ms, wrapped up chocolate etc .And disperse them around. But on the to facts..................

So everyone gets plates and starts raving about how good stuff is . HAIR serves herself up a little "elf plate" of everything and then tells everyone she needs to be good for their trip to Hawaii in 2 weeks (DS is taking her to Hawaii he has hotel, airline and rental car points. She is to pay for the food and entertainment, oh sure) . Then HAIR says excuse me I have to start some laundry as I have to work in the morning . I am thinking WTF ........................... so she starts the laundry.

Everyone is talking/eating in the formal living/dining room.(located off the kitchen) HAIR keeps getting up repeatedly and walking through the kitchen down to the laundry room. Ok by now I can't take it so follow her,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, As I get to the kitchen I see dish towels sticking out from under the sink. I open the door and there are all the dish towels . So i am like WTF ,what are they doing there (I keep all the towels in a separate kitchen drawer ). I open the "proper dish towel drawer" and what is in there........................ 2 heaping plates of desserts................ YUP HAIR is pretending to eat her "elf plate of desserts" and with each pass through the kitchen gobbling down food from the dish towel drawer............... . I shut the drawer thinking OMFG WTH............ At this point I don't know what to do as I don't want to cause a scene....So I wait until she is done with her next lap through the kitchen and I go to the laundry room................... I open the laundry closet and there is a hidden bowl of M&M's..........................

People leave, My son and I start cleaning the kitchen............... I drop my phone is the dishwater right when my son opens the dish towel drawer......................... WTH is this he says........... I just roll my eyes............ He marches up the the bedroom an I hear something like seriously what is your issue.........If you wanted 5 lbs of dessert eats 5 lbs of dessert no one cares, what is this sneaking shit............if you are hiding food what else are you hiding............. That's all I heard..........................

Like Bobo............... I reply to myself..................

Saturday Morning- Before the "Mother Shopping Trip"

DS and I are having coffee and HAIR has left for work . So I tell DS I have the shopping /lunch date today and that if I am asked about anything I am not telling her anything because I believe she is just trying to pump me for information . DS personally I can't even look at that woman............. What kind of mother has a child and then teaches her NOTHING, She know nothing and I mean nothing . I was looking for a girlfriend not a child to raise........... and I will tell you something else she (the mother ) is going to find Sammy (short for Samantha, HAIRS real name) back on her payroll soon (meaning kicked out of here ) if things don't change.

All I said was.....................well you have been with her 3 years and now there is an expectation at least on her part.......... He said "well she can expect in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up first". Then he said well I have already booked this vacation and I have alot of reflecting to do ...............

At this point I am just telling myself "shut up Gail " don't say something you cant take back.........................

hmmm I hear DS I will be back................

    Replying to Myself AGAIN..........................

    The Mother Shopping Trip...............

Ok pull up in front of the house and "The Mother emerges". I would not say she is obese but...she is tall .....has several stomachs........... long legs and several chins................. however today I don't notice those things first..........I notice the leggings..............they are not leopard wait what is that......................OMG OMG its "CAMEL TOES" . She gets in the car and I see the leggings are a reptile print...............I am trying really hard to avoid looking at the toes....................The fingernails are painted black with some type of crystals glue on.............. I try not to stare but they look like butterflies or something...................... I am trying to make some light conversation while silently freaking out about having to go out in public with THESE TOES............................She also has painted on tons of makeup and is smelling like some kind of cheap fruity perfume

The Mother wants to shop for clothes for her upcoming trip to Thailand. I am thinking there is no way I am going to any high end stores with this lizard.............. So from looking at the outfit I suggest Kohls. Ok, you all. I realize now I am sounding like a total snob........ I have really expensive taste especially in clothing, but when I do buy things they are always on sale and I would rather have 1 pair of nice pants than 20 pairs of cheap crap.............. Dont get me wrong Kohls is fine for some stuff .............. just not my taste for clothes.............

So we get to Kohls.......... she starts heaping up the cart with the brightest colors, stretchy things. huge sets of costume jewelry etc......We are there 3 hours and she spends.........$400.00 .................OMG 400 buck for that stuff............................... Then its time for lunch.

I need to make sure we can hide in a corner so I took her to this "elephant bar" chain place. We had cobb salads while she proceeded to drill me

How are the kids doing, when do I think they will take the next step in their relationship, how many grandkids would I like.

I just said Matt (DS) is at the age where he is responsible for his life and his life choices. All I want for him is to be happy and for him to find someone that is strong and has the same goals and ambitions............. she said NOTHING to that LOL .

I said well I have to go as I have a hair appointment in an hour................ So I drive her home and told my DS there was no discussion about the relationship

Ok sorry for this mini series of novels this morning ..........

So I think DS is finally seeing the light but I cannot say anything ............he needs to make his own decisions

The apple does not fall far from the tree (HAIR and her mother )

Dammit I though t the worst part of raising kids was ages 13-17 .......... I am now finding it is harder when they are older ...........They are grown but they are still your kids so you still worry .....................................

Have a great rest of your Sunday all........... It is actually 75 degrees here I will take it for 1 day anyway . I am sure there wil be more snow this week

Yep, thats me with no make up (apparently I didnt remove my mascara last night) and hair scraped into a ponytail. But everyone looks better holding a puppy, right? Lol

Is he ever nippy. But his sneezing seems to be clearing up. We have had him for a whole week today.

Barney is clearing up. Yay! Now it just looks like one of those Cadbury mini eggs. You know, the yellow ones with brown specks.

I wonder what the BS will have to say. I am considering the possibility of UMX followed by DIEP (mostly because I have wanted a tummy tuck for years, and also because I don't want implants).

OMG Fia!!!  Those were awesome tales!  I am so sorry about your phone,,, but OMG,,, she is hiding food!! I really think this is a wake-up call for DS. Hopefully Hair will be moving back in with Camel Toes soon.. What a weekend you had!!

Andrea: you and Teddy are adorable.  How old is he? Give him some little chew toys when he nips??  YAY for Barney clearing up!

Fia! He is starting to see!!!! Yeah!!!

I can almost smell puppy breath!!!! He's tooooo cute, you aren't so bad either!!

Spookie has had me upset since Fri night. She wouldn't eat ANYthing. Cheese, cookies, wet dog food, scrambled egg. I thought she had a cracked tooth. So she did a HUGE poo, got it all stuck in that long butt hair, which required an immediate bath. Then she ate.

I canceled her groom appt this week thinking I'd take her to vet tomorrow. Never get out of a vet visit cheap! Groomer isn't cheap either.

Bratt is sound asleep now, seems to be fine. I swear it's like having a toddler in the house.

Spookie, I hope your namesake is ok. How old is she? Poor thing. I hear you on the vet bill! In the bag for little Spookie tomorrow. I will bring Teddy and Diva too for canine support.
