I am in crazy town tonight because they told me I can't have my reconstruction done in September. But I am having more surgery for another area of cancer.

Beep 7..oh no ! So sorry this has happened to you . When do you have your next surgery ?
Hmm..just thinking ..I forgot to ask my doctor if I should stop taking Tamoxifen before my surgery ..and he didn't mention it ..

Ready, great news! Beep7, so frustrating to have to wait for reconstruction. But it's a reminder that breast cancer doesn't make us immune to everything else.

ready, congrats, hoping you get to celebrate
Well, ,met with new doc, urologist who my onc referred me too, i have for been dealing with bladder control issues for more years than i can remember and they have gotten worse
So met with new guy, nice guy, told him my tale of woe, he is suggesting a pacemaker which is inserted in your butt! I knew someone years ago who did it although never really spoke to her after the proceedure. So reading up on it and seriously considering it

proudtospin, hmmmmm a pacemaker. Please keep us updated. My bladder issues are worse on Tamoxifen and my uro-gynecologist found no structural issues when she did a bladder check during surgery. Might be something I should consider...

Iris, glad you are looking in to the pacemaker thing...and in your pocket Lucy! Let us know how it goes!

beaver.....my bladder issues are awful! I am reading up on the pacemaker thing and preping some questions. In the meantime, he suggested i use the otc Azo, i do believe it helps! Look into that if you have issues. My big question is will the thingie affect my thingie in my head that works on my hydrocephelus, have to check on that as

A pacemaker in the butt? I would love to see the look on the TSA screener's face when you tell her you have a pacemaker, and then the body scanner lights up your rump instead of chest!

gee sandy, never thought about that one! It has been around for years and my current issue means i am open to all, currently it is between botox and the pacemaker but leaning towards pacemaker, i do have some questions yet to ask before proceeding

Routine scan coming up on Friday morning. My dog is still with us. My Grampa is still with us too at this point. Has his good days and bad ones. Hoping to get up to where he is soon to see him. Don’t want my last memory of him to be at his funeral.

Hi everyone,
duckyb, good to "see" you. Lucy, I will be in your pocket for your mastectomy. Are you doing reconstruction? Is this bilateral? iris, glad you blood work was good. Sorry about the urology issues. I found that atrophy causes mine. I also have a prolapsed bladder I am not interested in fixing. I am using a tiny bit of estrogen vaginally and have found a lot of help with a hemp balm to use down there as well. M0mmy, sorry about your doggie and your grampa not doing well. Di have a great time and happy anniversary. Beep7, so sorry about the bad news. Pull up a rocking chair and relax here in CT. I am hanging in there. Healthwise I am pretty good except for the tummy issues. We are very close to the one year anniversary of Wyatt passing. I can't believe it has been nearly a year since I looked into those soulful eyes. Have you all been reading the articles about tamoxifen and AI's putting cells to sleep while they possibly spread?

Molly ..good to hear from you ..hard to believe nearly a year has passed..((hugs ))..I had just a single mastcetomy last time ..so having the other side done now to even things out ...I'm not having reconstruction ..just going to go flat ..and have some soft prosthesis ..I can change what size I want to be each day .!!.HaHa 🙄...Actually I am really nervous this time ! I just read the article on Tamoxifen and Al's...scary stuff !!!!

Thanks. Yesterday was not a good day in my house. My beloved 12 yr old Sheltie, Jackson, crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry, Mommy. The loss of a beloved pet truly hurts.
Can identify, our 12 year old dachshund is currently our vet's mystery dog as he (the dog not the vet) is losing weight while eating and drinking more with totally normal blood work and ultrasound reports, with one exception -- an elevated value that indicates something is going on somewhere but is not specific as to where! We really already knew that so we just keep watching him.
Take care of you and yours as you mourn your loss.

So sorry, M0mmy, for the loss of your faithful furbaby. It never gets easier how many pets we have over our lifetimes.

Thanks gals. At least I can take comfort in his being reunited with his angel kitty brother Charcoal and he is at peace.

ladies, sorry for folks with aging pets, my cat Sasha went to the great beyond a number of years ago. He had a thyroid issue and would eat like a little piggy and drink like a fish but got skinnier as he aged. Vet used to give him thyroid pills, i forget the name but it was a people med. I used to hide the little pill in his food but he used to eat around the pill or play with it on the kitchen floor! We argued about those pills but he lived till about 18 and was on the pill for at least 6 years. Since i am alergic to the cat hair, i never got another cat though would like one.
Back from early morning dentist visit, tired! Do have a manicure visit this afternoon but seriously thinking about a short nap!

Mommy so sorry for your loss...
I Iost one of my Boston terriers in late July...he was days short of 14 years old...Drummer was a good boy....
He was in my first litter of Bostons...when they were born I was suctioning, rubbing & reviving him, his brother, and sister as my vet finished the C-section of his mother, which I owned.
