Candy, I am in your pocket for results and hope what you are going through can be resolved and of course not a progression.

Candy, you can add my prayers for a good scan outcome.
Irish, my DD also has a lot of stuff. When we all moved last time she had as much as my DH and I minus the furniture. She lives downstairs now so she can manage it all herself. We keep your storage in bins in the garage so we don't have to go up and down stairs. It works for me since I can't lift or move the bins anyways. We can still get our two cars in the garage with plenty of room for a freezer and pantry storage. I refuse to keep more stuff than we can store that way although since we moved from a small condo into a large house I fear stuff is once again building up. I am never moving again but I don't want it to build up for my kids to have to go through.

Mel, you are nowhere near negative. you’re just honest with your emotions, which is a true quality. Take all the time you need, sweet lady 💗
@sondraf please let us know how you are doing.
Tomorrow, I’m scheduled for the Y90 treatment. I have such mixed feelings, on one hand, I feel okay, but on the other, I’m nervous and scared of the outcome. I wish the IR had given me a clearer answer about his intentions, if he’s planning to kill the tumors completely or just contain them. going through the long mapping process and the repeat procedures for radioembolization, I want these tumors gone. any positive vibes are much needed and appreciated!

@snow-drop Praying for good results as you go through your treatment tomorrow. Sending extra hugs!

@snow-drop in your pocket with all the positive vibes I can muster.

Squeeeezin in the pocket also for snow drop and Candy. Lots of good vibes your way.
Irish Wow you have been busy working hard getting things back in order. Ugh sorry they screwed up your treatment, it's always something! Glad the weather has been nice, same here.
rischaller Yes it's very exciting! Glad you have those wonder memories especially with your mom being there. I'm an Eagles fan, grew up in Philly.
Mara You are far from lazy, some days I read your post and think I better do more lol. Always impressed by your budget boosting skills. It's a great challenge for you and rewarding not to take money out of your pocket.
Thinking of all here and hope everyone has a restful night.
3 -
Cookie, yes you are right about enjoying the challenge of not taking money out of my pocket. I have pledged not to just shop for groceries or extra stuff from Amazon. I can make enough money to pay for the new washer without dipping into my budget and paying off sooner. No interest on the purchase either. I also like to buy pantry staples as well since I have a small fridge and freezer.
It is sunny today which is nice, warmer than it usually is in November, I can remember snow by now but it is much warmer than usual. Next Monday is my birthday, will be 53. DB wants to go out for supper which would be nice, we don't do gifts for each other any more but that is good for me. Running through a regular wash of cloths. Will do one of my blankets as well later. I love how fluffy the big blue fleece one is. My washer washed it better than when there was a available washer in the creepy shed. I figure one at a time is better than spending a day and be less abusive to the motor. I will be doing some budget boosting, found an app that asks me trivia questions from the bible and every level I go up gives me some money. I usually find I need to look up some of the answers but that is quite alright, I enjoy collecting money. There is also a trivia game my site does which also gives some money as well. Last night was on cereals from the past.
I don't know what I want to eat, I have many different options, debating making a box of KD and taking some to add to precooked egg with lentils, probably microwave it. Cut up and add shredded cheese and croutons into the chopped ingredients. Put a spoonful of KD, put the egg, lentils and shredded cheese with croutons, add some cheez whiz. This goes into a heated frypan, sprayed with cooking oil and melted butter. Heat up for a couple of minutes. Similar to a ground beef vibe, can still put a bit of the KD in as well. Season as I please. I am not sure about dinner.
I do hope everyone has a good day, thinking about everyone and in pockets for anyone who needs me whether they read and follow along or not, you are all important to me.

Mel - Thinking of you and sending positive vibes your way.

Mel still thinking of you. Hope the time away is healing for you, in your pocket.
I have Herceptin today so that will be the main activity, got a throw blanket and some cloths in the laundry. Will probably eat some beans and a cooked egg with shredded cheese but will chop in with croutons and chips, heat up in fry pan. Put some taco seasoning and sour cream seasoning as well, should be really good.
Also forgot to phone paratransit yesterday for friday's echo so will be phoning after done typing. Hopefully they can help me, if not, will have to take regular bus. I will see. Edited, they are able to pick me up which is good.
in everyone's pockets and hope everyone has a good day.

I have to say, getting dressed for me is tiring. I have to sit, put clothes on, then sit and do it again, my bra is the worst, I cannot get the band to sit properly. For now, leaving it twisted until I can look up an easier way to put one on.
4 -
@mara51506, I know how you feel about the bra. Thinking of you for your infusion. As a non-driver in a rural area, I can get quite frustrated making travel arrangements. In your pocket with a homemade cookie.

Hi all, Im sort of around, things got crazy again. I got another three night stay at the hospital last week due to a very very early infection picked up from the chest tumor wound, but that delayed my Enhertu infusion by another week. That plus the unbelievably uncomfortable beds at the hospital and how much pain they put my hip into (my lymph massage guy was NOT happy at the state of my leg swelling when he saw it after no compression for that long) and I was a rather unhappy patient this time haha. I now have a district nurse coming out twice a week to dress the wound and they can see the bottom of it that I can't which is where I was missing with the cleaning solution. Its closing up and responding very well to the radiation so it wont be too many weeks of this, and I feel a bit better having a professional do it "right". They'll also do my picc once a week so Im really really REALLY hoping to finally get the hospital visit down to an every three week infusion as it should be.
Also having a tough time with the election result as it impacts some short term decision-making as I want to go home so badly. I feel like Ive been living in some form of political turmoil or other since 2016 because for a while it was non-stop elections and government change and lack of clarity (still!) here. Ah well, no politics in public is best unless its with trusted (read: govt and international policy wonks where we dissect and discuss campaign/comms strategies and potential outcomes more than personal positions) friends.
Generally just in a bit of a funk with the usual lack of walking frustration, how long it takes to do something frustration, wanting to get back into society frustration and overall lack of direction frustration. I need something to throw myself into that I can see/feel feedback from somewhat quickly - maybe I need to make a brain dump list of things Id like to learn/do and go from there. Not having a car and not being able to drive in this city (the whole point of moving here) its tough to get out, and any potential other solutions like mobility scooter wont work because of odd curbs, potential for theft, and no damn place to store the thing! Im in this weird place of being in a dense suburban area with many things in either normal walking or very short tube ride distance that I cant actually access due to stairs and no other means of accessibility. Probably just need to get going on rebuilding strength though it seems every time I start up I get sick.
Mara - I hear your dressing pain! Ive fallen asleep a few times in the process, getting undies and pants on is my big kicker and I dont want hubs to help. I switched from normal bras (who knows what size I am anymore, but its certainly not a 38DD and my rebuilt breast is looking like a B these days) to pull over tank type/seamless stretch crop top 'bras' (note: not sports bras) and find them much more comfortable, cheaper, and I can stuff in the soft insert if I want to level things out. I used to be underwire ride or die with large breasts too, never thought I would go this way, but its so much more comfortable and less dressing hassle. I can appreciate though if a larger chest may not be so accommodating (or shoulder issues, etc)
@snow-drop thank you for thinking of me! I hope your procedure went well - Ive got the IR on standby to embolize whatever is causing the tumor on the chest to bleed (though its stopped thank god) and have had all the mapping scans etc yet it all seems very black box sorcery somehow? :) I do hope it helped get rid of the tumors for good for you - to us that is always the name of the game though sometimes I think oncologists go a little too conservative with shrink or containment is acceptable as well. Guess it depends where things are.
@candy-678 i hope your outcomes are successful as well - did you ever get your truck replaced?
@micmel Girl, you've deserved time and space away whenever, wherever. We are a good bunch around here and everything will continue on. Just drop a Theo every once in a while to let us know you are ok :)
I know I have forgotten a few folks here and there I wanted to mention, but daren't swop back a page in case I lose all this writing. Hoping the nurse shows up soon as an urge for a giant tuna salad sandwich just came over me, and Id really like to get one made. Though I think we may be out of bread….Ill figure it out.
6 -
Sondra- Sorry you are struggling so. In answer to your question to me- Yes, I traded my truck in for a compact car. Better on gas money, and more "me" now with my hip issues and health issues- it was getting to be hard to get into the truck.
Hi to all.

Sondra, I am sorry about the hospitalization and the swelling of your leg as well. I can understand that some people have feelings about the election results, some happy, some not. No difference for us when we have them here. There is not one party I am attached to either. Oh well, we will find out later. I am in your pocket for healing up and leg to go down in swelling.
I have not done much, laundry, will also put yesterday's pants in a small wash as well as I want to wear them again tonight. I had beans for breakfast, chopped with croutons, cheese and some chips, realize that I put too much taco powder in the mix, little bit spicy but still very filling, meat pies for supper. Need to get all the stuff taken out for garbage as well. No problem, can toss stuff out back and walk it around front, I will see.

Well, typing early, have a regular echo as usual, it is early this morning which is fine by me, I wound up going to bed super early and slept, my body did not decide to keep me awake. Did not wind up going out with DB, he was stuck at work. I had a weird dream about him, we were both applying to a place to work, the place wanted him a lot, me not so much. SIL was just waiting for us and then DB left. I woke up at that point calling my brother's name out loud. I was not saddened but just surprised he would leave. Might have been related to not going out last night, who knows.
Too early to start the laundry as I believe the tub would be noisy running the washer. I usually wait until 800 am. Just running some ads to play while gone, should be back before 10am but may as well have some.
I also decided to go back on the waiting list for a new wellness checker daily call. We got way more personal than we should have, I blame myself more for allowing the conversation but it got to the point when she was telling me to shut up and I shut it down, called and asked for someone new. I was warned there was a waiting list but I said that was OK, blocked the previous person. She started out nice but I realize when boundaries are set, no meeting etc, those should be abided. Next time, sticking to saying I am doing well and letting that be that.
Unsure about food, did not spend anything this week on groceries unless you count at food. Got an unexpected credit from the bank as well which was nice too, setting up for good shopping trips in the future. I may take a normal bus trip to Walmart after breakfast to pick up some of the frozen pasta or a box of mini pot pies. I will ask them to lower the ramp for me when getting off as well.I will see, not having anything right now I do not think since it is early for me to want a meal. I should only be gone about 90 minutes.
I hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for those who need me.

sndraf So sorry to hear of your hospitalization, frustrations and so many other struggles. I'm glad the infection was caught early and hoping for quick resolution. You have been through so much lately and it can certainly get a person down. I am wishing for better days ahead and sending you a big hug.
Mara Hope your echo went smoothly today and all is well. I remember when things got awkward with the wellness person. Fingers crossed the next person is better.
Gosh we really really need rain it's been way to long. There have been some brush fires in South Jersey yesterday although they were not super close to my home it's a scary thought. Not much going on this weekend probably some yard clean up with all the leaves really falling now. It's such a pretty time but hate the thought of in couple weeks things will look so barren.
Thinking of all who are struggling and everyone waiting on results, hugs.

It is a nice day today. Not sure what I want to do, Laundry already in the dryer. Put together a grocery order, added lots of shredded cheese which was on sale, lots of frozen pasta, can add tons of stuff on top, makes for an easy meal as well. Forgot pizza but can get a pizza vibe with peppers and green sliced olives, cheese and beefless ground. Pizza without the crust if you will. Not too expensive either, without the fees and tip, only 35 dollars and that is fine by me. It will last a while. I am going out for my birthday dinner on Monday so might ask DB to take me to Walmart, I will see.
Have not eaten yet either, different options percolating in my mind but probably wait til I receive my grocery order, may have to tape the freezer again but that does not bother me any. The frozen pasta is convenient, still got KD that can go in different bean or beefless ground meals as well. Need to write down a menu for myself I think to keep things straight.
I hope everyone has a good weekend and in pockets where needed.

Hi all. Sorry I've been MIA. Sondraf, please get back to stable and out of that darn hospital torture chamber they call a bed. I'm very small, and I slip down into the bend of the bed. Hate those beds.
Mara, thanks for keeping the porch light on and hope you are doing ok. Mel, hope your heart is healing.
Hello to all I've missed. Been under the weather with walking (severe pain, and balance issues). Back to using my walker. Today I started with another round of colitis. It is the most painful thing to move bowels and I have no choice as diarrhea has taken over. Nurse coming tomorrow so I don't have to leave the house. If anyone hears a scream, it'll be me on the toilet. It's my one week break from Ibrance and I'm guessing it'll be more then one week.
Regarding fires, my sister's home was in jeopardy yesterday and today in Reading, Pa. She lives at the base of Neversink Mt. Looks like they have it contained finally but hot spots showing up. Row houses go up in flames rather quickly. Hope all are safe in NJ and PA and poor CA.
In your pockets for all your needs.
Laurel

Laurel, I am sorry you have colitis striking at the same time as balance issues, in your pocket for both issues. I am also sending support your sister's way that fires will not reach her.
I slept pretty well last night, been going to bed much earlier as of late. Started that Thursday night before the echo as I had to be to the hospital by 8 am but was done before 9 am and home by 930. Cannot ask for more. Before I got out of bed did the quick version of PT, bridges, thigh exercise and squeezing pillow between my legs. 10 of each of those, moved on to the ankle exercises, lifting ankles then putting them down and the rotations, 10 of those. I do both ankles to save time. Used my bed ladder to pull myself up to sitting from lying down. Though I seem to be at a stable weight, my dead weight is fairly heavy. 10 of those done as well. Might do some Paul Eugene later
I am washing blankets, both of the largest ones. Initially the blue would not agitate but it started to when I lifted it off the bottom, I had pushed it too far. Still working well now, same routine, once the softener plus vinegar cycle done will allow the blanket to drip the extra water out before putting into bigger Panda spin dryer. Same routine for the gray blanket as well. Other stuff can be done later or done in the wee washer. I still like that one. I am also doing short cycles on blankets as well as they are not really dirty. My lint filters are crazy full of cat fur. Beyond laundry, got a pair of sock mops on to get my socks clean and doing the robot vac, need to do a good dust as well and get the ceilings again
I did do a grocery delivery order for Walmart, got lots of frozen pasta, best for if I just want to throw stuff on top like eggs and beans or cheese. Just take the lid off and cook for 4 min and 30 seconds. Lots of stuff I can put on, peppers, potato cubes etc. I think that I need to start putting some of my earnings of budget boosting toward purchasing Walmart Gift Cards to offset the cost of delivery. Cannot beat the convenience though of the delivery, usually takes between 60 to 90 minutes, cannot overlook that. Planning to make some beans and eggs together. Take a sprayed bowl, crack an egg and add the beans that way, microwave for 2 mins 30 seconds and chop up the egg after adding some chips, croutons and shredded cheese. I am looking forward to opening the Armstrong shredded cheese because it has bacon flavour infused.
I hope everyone has a good day today, in everyone's pocket who needs me as well.

Laurel - so sorry to read of your colitis, that is so painful. Sending soothing energy your way. The fires are scary hope your sisters home stays safe. We even had a brush fire in Brooklyn NY at prospect park. Our poor planet!
Catherine - love how you make pizza without the crust, and beans and eggs. I made my favorite vegan cornbread today, always makes me happy. You make laundry sound like fun.. we send ours out since we don’t have a washer dryer. DH takes it to the laundry , they do it, and he picks it up, love the convenience. Both of DH handling it and the nice folks at the laundromat washing/folding.
I also did some stretching and cardio today, keeping my energy up while finishing radiation. Just 5 for more to go. Looks like it’s helping with the skin Mets, fingers crossed. Nothing has helped for long. We’ll see,..I’m sending healing and light to all, hope you are doing well as best as you can today, happy Sunday.

Decided to cook up 1/4 cup white rice first and let it cool a bit. I took some butter and garlic spread and put on bottom of bowl, mixed the egg up and added the beans. Heated in microwave for 2 min 30 seconds. Once it was cooler, put pieces of the egg in the chopper, added shred cheese, egg with 1/4 cup beans and chopped them up with a handful of barbecue chips and croutons. Once at the ground beef texture, mixed up the premade rice as well, heated about another 90 seconds. Took some mayo as a binder. It filled me up. Probably high calorie but I consider it nutritious anyway. Later will take a large meat pie, cook it up and keep it for a few days in the fridge to add to other dishes.

Irish Ugh you can't catch a break, I'm sorry your dealing with bowel issues again!!Hope it clears quickly. Yep smoky here this morning, the whole house smelled like smoke. They say it's 75% contained , a little rain coming tonight. Praying for everyone and the firefighters safety.
rischaller Let the countdown begin glad you're nearing the end. Fingers crossed it helps get things under control.
Thinking of Mel , also thinking of Sunshine. I haven't seen any updates on Carol…..

rjschaller, in your pocket for the rads to do their thing on the skin cancer. Good idea to send laundry out to get done, convenience alone makes it worth it.
Laurel, I am sorry that you are dealing with the colitis again. I wish that there was something that can take the pain away for you. In your pocket in the meantime.
Sondra, hoping the swelling has come down for you and that you are out of hospital as well.
I am presently doing a little load of laundry, will be doing some budget boosting stuff soon as well and pay my main bill off that covers rent payment, internet and mobile. Also saving up for some cat food as they go through the dry quickly.
Edited I don't often think about my own cancer but realizing I was still 43 when first diagnosed does give me pause knowing how lucky I am. I turn 53 today and that is not typical for inflammatory breast cancer. My MO calls me her miracle patient to this day as from chin down, I have been NED which is luck more than anything else and my brain is stable as of today. Just have the pool of blood in my head that is monitored.
I think DB, SIL and I will go to a chicken place and I may ask for a grocery store where I have 10.00 available.
I decided to eat up a Jamaican beef pie and put a bunch of spinach from the freezer, used coffee grinder on it so it was a good texture. Added bit of sour cream after heating with the sour cream and onion seasoning, a careful measure of taco seasoning and salt and it actually tasted very good.
Other than going out tonight, chores will be done, I will have myself ready by 3pm because I hate rushing, planning to try out my contouring kit I bought finally. Got to say, Sephora is pretty pricey so need that in small doses.
I hope everyone has a good Memorial Day and Remembrance Day here in Canada and in pockets for who ever needs me.

Mara, happy birthday! 😊 enjoy your special. May you have many more.
