Thank you for your birthday wishes, I enjoyed the night out. Food took a long time to arrive after being seated but there were only two servers in the place so she did the best she could, had some leftovers that I brought home, next few meals going to contain chicken and salad. Got a huge case of Ferrero Rocher hazelnut chocolates from DB and SIL and chocolates from the restaurant.

We went to Walmart for a few things ha, got bunch of stuff from there and more chocolate, oh well, treat day for me, bunch of the cheezit crackers as well, I think I can make many meals out of all this stuff and tape going on the freezer again. I do not mind.

Snowdrop, I am glad this procedure is over and in your pockets as well for tumour shrinkage.

Snowdrop - Glad you are done with that procedure, and I'm so sorry that it was as bad as you described. It has been suggested to me as something that could be in my future, but I had no idea it could be like what you experienced. I'm so glad to hear that all of us in the living room , having some freshly baked biscuits, were a help and support during the ordeal. Well, I have heard that in spite of the procedure itself, it can be very helpful for quite some time in many cases, so I am at least feeling good that things should be headed upward for you now. Just rest on the couch here in the living room now and enjoy the rest of us cheering you on!

Just checking in - FYI ive been out of the hospital almost two weeks now with home antibiotics so definitely been I guess happier though sometimes it doesn't feel like it. I did get my government disability payments set up which will be helpful, and community nursing is changing my chest dressings so things are running much more smoothly in the house in terms of lowered stress. Its closing up well but looks like we had a bit of bleed through yesterday evening so I need to call this morning and see if another nurse gets sent out or I change it myself and we stick with the next visit on Thursday. Yesterdays nurse was from Hong Kong originally and there was a bit of a language issue so she didn't put down the super absorbant dressing which I think is the main issue. Not her fault, Ive got piles of different dressings all over the place (the NHS tends to throw massive quantities of everything at you just in case) and while I lay things out for these folks in the bathroom to grab, they only seemed to see the pile of extras/others on the dresser. So last night I removed them and put the stack of what they need to be using there lol.

I started doing some PT of my own - heel slides, kegel exercises for deep core, quad tightening, calf thingys pointing the toe, etc. I was having excruciating pain in my lower right pelvic area that no pain killers would touch last weekend. Its all to do with the psoas muscles and hip flexors impacted by this tumor, but I did knee bends (may have been heel slides) as a last ditch idea to just work the cranky muscles in that area and it worked! Hubs said last night I was moving smother so I mean its only been a few days but what the hell else am I doing, may as well do something since I have all these exercises already researched/from an old PT. @mara51506 I was going to ask who the Paul whats his name was that you were using, so thank you for mentioning his whole name in your post :) Unfortunately the exercises can cause a lot of tired muscle pain by the evening (Im trying to walk the house a bit more every day too) but we will figure it out. Frankly I think what I need is a solid anti-inflammatory to take care of the pressure on nerves and muscles and I can get rid of these pain killers. I went almost a week without any Tylenol and hardly any oxy because of the dex post Enhertu infusion kept the tumor inflammation down. Ive also been doing my own lymph massage for 5-10 minutes each night on my thigh and thats been helping too.

@irishlove and @snow-drop I guess the three of us are really not catching the breaks much are we? :) I suppose all you can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other and deal with each challenge as it comes. However, Im going to caveat that with saying it would be super nice to go a whole month without a 'what new fresh hell is this?' because boy it seems like every month for the last 8 I get whapped in the face with another hurdle to deal with. Like the Simpsons cartoon where Sideshow Bob keeps stepping on rakes lol. I hope you two can get the pain and symptoms under control too soon, and feel better for the holidays.

Wondering how @sunshine99 is doing, and best wishes to @divinemrsm as I see you have had a bit of a turn in your situation. And of course Happy Birthday to @mara51506 - i think you keeping your brain busy with all your innovations and goals is part of your good luck but absolutely enjoy all the chocolate.

Sondra, I am glad PT has helped with the pain and movement. I am going to link the video for Paul Eugene which I like to do in bed when I wake up. If lifting knees is not a problem, do a march and move around the house that way by moving forward slightly, easy way to build strength. This can be done in bed, in a chair or easy to stand up and do it as well. He has other workouts as well, I just like him because it is accessible.

    Happy Belated Birthday, Mara.

Again, thank you everyone for the birthday wishes, I certainly do have a lot of chocolate hazelnut ahead of me, I can do it.

Doing up some laundry, will be vacuuming as well, probably start with the robot vac. Other than that not sure what else I want to do, may walk around today, not raining, it is quite windy but looking like some sun today. I am also budget boosting as well in the background, cooking videos and get paid a little bit at the commercials.

I have a few options that need to be done with food. Got leftover chicken and salad from the meal last night plus a couple of frozen pastas that would not fit in the freezer. I figure I can take leftovers and put on top of the pasta, heat both for 4 mins in microwave. Later, can take any pasta like the lasagna, dump them in the pan and add some chicken, olives and shred cheese, another pizza without the crust. I do have some of the mini pizzas but like to use up some of my frozen veggies too. If I need an extra boost of cheese flavour, got cheezits to handle some of that since I can chop up in the spice grinder. The food that is in the fridge that should be frozen will be cooked up today, I do need to be strategic in the freezer storage, I don't mind taping it closed and using magnets on fridge to hold it closed but I really need to be more strategic about organizing the freezer. Oh well.

Taking a rest day besides the chores, phone in a couple of prescriptions and have them delivered and that is about it.

I hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for everyone who needs me, thinking of Mel, Carol, Laurel and anyone having a hard time.

I did manage to reuse leftovers from the restaurant and combined with an alfredo pasta. Essentially having more chicken, little bit of lettuce and seasoned with sour cream and onion seasoning, added a small amount of taco. Put the leftovers at the bottom of a bigger bowl and put the frozen pasta pkg on top, heated through and just combined everything together, it was very filling and did taste decent.

Happy belated birthday dearest Mara! Enjoy the chocolates 🍫. I panicked when I got on the website and saw 23 new posts. I was afraid something awful happened but recovered and was so happy that it was lots of birthday wishes for you🎂🎂.

Snowdrop - the procedure sounds awful. Glad it’s over and healing can begin.
Irish - Sorry for another blast of colitis. I hope the new MO will be a wonderful doc for you.
Sondra - hope you can stay out of the hospital for a long, long time.
Intolight - stable is always great to hear! I have my 3 month scans on Thursday so I’m hoping for the same news.

Here for pocket duty for those in need. Sending comforting thoughts to all, especially our Mel❤️

Intolight, congrats on the stable scan results!

Snow-drop, that Y90 treatment sounds intense, so glad you are through it and now recovering.

Irish, a concerned MO sounds kind of good, if you know what I mean - someone who will look into and follow up on things.

Sondraf, please no more stepping on rakes for you (I did chuckle at that image)! Glad you're home, and that your exercises are helping.

Mara, inspired by your chocolate extravaganza, I've ordered a rather large quantity in an advent calendar, made here locally. Will I be able to restrain myself until December 1st? Ha ha ha, probably not.

Still thinking of you Mel as well.

Goldens, in your pocket for Thursdays scans.

@sf-cakes before I passed out stone cold on the couch yesterday afternoon (waking up like 13 hours later!) I was checking out fine chocolate boxes for Christmas. Like, lets push the boat out a bit on some really nice stuff for dessert to go with this lovely brandy we have since I sure as hell am not baking anything this year and we wont be spending a lot on food either. You should have bought some tide-me-over chocolate bars or something alongside the advent calendar!

@sondraf you have coined my new favorite phrase: Tide-me-over-chocolates!!

I'm getting me some of those.
