I never knew there was " bacon soda" I want some! It was me who asked about chemo, Magda. I'm glad you're not taking any. I remember now how hard it was on you. Yes, I want to see pics. I have added one more piece to my shabby chic. My fan broke so I just had to get a new one. I have a little bedroom bling now.💞

Micmel, so glad for the report of benign after your surgery. Rest as much as you can and heal.

I'm okay today. Had homemade muffins with fresh picked blueberries that DH picked at our neighbor's. They both garden and share what the other one doesn't grow. Nice.

To everyone here, have a good Friday. Lots of rain and flooding in my state, but not in my area. I saw water rescues on the news, in the city where my son lives and works. You know Mama sent a text lightning fast! He's fine and it wasn't in his part of town.

Hope you are enjoying your retirement!! Leaving work was the hardest yet the best thing I ever did! Iwrite, congratulations on the new grand baby!! That fruit pizza looks amazing! Grannax, in Ireland we have a type of bread called soda, so bacon soda is something completely different in my mind!! 😂

Goodness, it's a year with weather extremes. We had a warning of temperatures reaching an all time high of 48 Celsius. 118 F. We are ok on the coast where it reached 35 today. News reports of people dying. We have been staying in every afternoon, usually lying on top of the bed with ceiling fan on to avoid the sun. Now I am almost ready to sleep. Air con is on to give us a chance!!

Hope everyone has a lovely, painfree as possible weekend.

Good night from over the pond x

Checking in so you don’t think I’ve disappeared. I finished Taxol#14 on Friday and we flew to the west coast on the following Wednesday. We've been house hunting and helping DD with grandson and her move. I must say that being with my grand baby gives me an energy high. I hadn't been walking much or doing much for exercise since i started Taxol so I feel like I'm in baby bootcamp....up/down off the floor, picking him up and down, playing peekaboo. It is awesome but OMG I’m exhausted by the end of the day, not complaining just thrilled that I can do this. For brief moments I even feel terrific (well better than I have for 4 months) so fingers crossed the Taxol is working.

Micmel, do you still have a stupid cough leftover from the virus/ cold you had? I’ve been coughing for a month now.....grr.

Illimae, leaving work is hard. I couldn’t sleep well for about a month after, my brain wouldn’t quit acting like tomorrow was a workday, what are the things I neeed to do, etc. I hope they leave you alone so that you can decompresss. The best thing about not working is Monday mornings...you can stay in bed and your colleagues, poor suckers, can’t!!!

I love how you share your lives on this site...I would love to see shower pics, Reno, etc. When we find a place to live, i’ll Post some photos too.

Big hugs to you all and be well.

Hello everybody! Lots of new faces here. Welcome to the club that no one wants to be in. You have found a great group of ladies.

It is definite,my dh is medically retiring. He will never be able to work in his profession again. Our lives are still up in the air. I don’t know if we should move out of state,or stay put. If he should find another job,or just stay home and do the yard work. It is hard to believe that it has been a year and a half, since his accident.

For the new ladies and dear Daniel,my husband is a Denver Police Officer,he was hurt intentionally while patrolling on his motorcycle. He suffered many fractures, surgeries but most worrisome has been his traumatic brain injury. He can no longer handle the stress of the job, with a brain injury.

I have been on tamoxifen for 36 months. For the first time since dx,I am having an increase in my pain. I have a pet scan in September. I think I will just wait it out. I have my first appointment with the pain clinic in a month. Ridiculous wait times for these doctors!!

Tanya- I had cancer cells in my bone marrow. They have disappeared!! And so will yours! I am praying for you!

Mae- Hooray on your brain mri results!! And hooray for retirement! You will rock at the domestic life!!

Magda- what a beautiful smile 😊,I had to smile back at your pic. God be with you💕

Gracie- I am praying for you too! You are important to all of us!

    Runor-you crack me up!

Lynne Manchester- I am in awe of your energy to do things. You are always running here and there. I love that you have always lived in your home town. As well as most of your kids and Mother. It sounds so quaint. I have always wanted to see the northeast. It looks so beautiful in pictures.

I know that my posts are few and far between. But I do love each and every one of you! I am always asking Mel how the ladies are doing. I am just so busy with ten people living in my house!! I never have a moment to myself. It is 3:15 am this is my alone quiet time. Crazy,I know

Congratulations on your new addition Kathryn! There is nothing better than the smell of a babies head. You have to kiss it for me. My grandsons are my motivation.

I think that I had better go to sleep. Love to all of you

Hi pots!! Welcome back darling. I always seem to catch something in my week off,I seem to feel the reminders of a lasting sniffle, which begins today of course. And the shower is one week away today! Yikes !

Chelle ~ Hello my sweet sweet sister. I love you right back my friend. Hug your DH for me and your mom and she recovers as well. 10 people is a lot. You're amazing I don't like noise. I like quiet. I don't know how you do it. Pain comes and goes my love. It doesn't have to be progression, it could also be your meds saying oh no. You're not going anywhere. Stay here right Ned!! no exceptions!!!. So glad to see your beautiful self here! I love you very much.i think about you and DH and hope you figure out what he can do.maybe they should give him a huge settlement. That’s what they can do!

As I do everyone. Bigbhome ~thinking of you as well!

GP...... Stillliving...Tanya ....Mae....Minnie......Grannax I believe you and I are on the same time frame of ibrance. If I am not mistaken!! MJH haven't seen in a while. Hello to the Lynne's. hello beautiful ladies!! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while but it is summer camp time at my preschool and it has been very busy. Just as summer is about to end now we are in the new school mood.

micmel- I'm glad your surgery went well. I know that you are panicking about the bridal shower but I am sure you are going to have a great time 😊

magda- it's great to see your smiling face. I don't know about you but it seems that a lot of us on here are redecorating rooms in our houses. Do you think that stage 4 gives us the same feeling as empty nest syndrome? I am working on my daughters room because she loves elephants. Amazon makes it waaaaay to easy.

pots- it's funny that you were talking about a cough you have. I get drainage and a cough towards my last days of ibrance before my week off. I talked about it on the ibrance forum and a lot of ladies get it. It does always make me worry that my pleural effusion is back.

chelle- you are my new hero! 10 people! I have 7 in my house and sometimes it gets crazy! Well most of the time. Thank god I am still able to work to escape it! I agree with micmel. Pain comes and goes and we always free the worst. I will be praying for a clear scan for you.

Holmes~ welcome back sweetheart. I was concerned when I hadn't seen you. You're a busy woman yourself and I hope your summer isn't as hot and sticky as mine has been. Lol at all of redecorating our rooms. Yay us! My bedding arrived yesterday and I am excited and already have taken two naps today! Can't wait for bed tonight.. missed your smiling happy self, glad all is well!!

    Much love ~M~

Hey sorry, have just been really busy with Em and the boys home. They are leaving tomorrow and I just want to go with them!

I’m doing ok, start round two of Abraxane on Monday and I too developed thrush from all the dexa they had me on after I had the swelling from the cyber knife to the brain! But am on meds for that and I think it’s getting better.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll have more time to go back and read!

imageMy grandson enjoying a Maine "whoopie pie" on the way home in the truck! I have been crazy busy, still feeling great. Will schedule MRI tomorrow to find out how Y90 did. Xeloda causing some days of fatigue and stinging, peeling feet, but still able to go and do most days.

Micmel-glad those nasty adhesions are gonzo and hope the bridal shower brings pure enjoyment!

Tanya-not sure what the marrow involvement means, but hope it gets under control STAT.

Magda-thinking of you lots and wanting lots of healing to happen.

Lynne(Man)- glad to here that you have 3 options and I sure hope whatever you choose is more tolerable for you. Think of you lots.

To any of you facing particular challenges right now, you are truly in my thoughts and I am always pulling for the best for all of us!

MJH~ that scenery is truly so very beautiful. I thought about how much I would love to see that beautiful place. The world is truly beautiful and ugly at the same time. The picture of you and your grand son is lovely. You’re a trooper for sure. I hope I have enough energy to get though this shower. Although I guess I don’t have a chance really, I’m just pleased I am able to be a part of it. Thee activity level of you ladies is just plain awesome.

Mae~ lol at you and your pizza comment, my DH and I had pizza. He mowed the lawn and did some other stuff. I didn’t get to bed until close to one o’clock am last night and my body does not like that at all. So I haven’t celt good all day long. Sucks. I have to really pace myself this week to be able to save all of my energy for the shower. hope you had a good weekend. And yay. For you. Who cares that it’s monday. I hear Boston. “ oh what a feeling”
    Good night ladies. ~M~

Shit Patty, I’ve been seeing your posts since I joined the bond Mets group in 2016 and I hate that you’re not at home but glad you’re not in the ER either. Sending my good vibes that you get to go home real soon.

Oh man, watching Big Brother and from a physiological standpoint, it’s fascinating! What a fun experiment in total paranoia.

    Hello ladies and Daniel

It takes forever to catch up on here if you take a few days off.

Micmel glad you’re b9. You’re crazy moving furniture after surgery though. Side eye

MJH love the veggies and your grand son. The view is spectacular. We ate yellow squash my entire childhood; hated it then but love it now

Peppermint I hope you’re getting everything you need there. Thanks for checking in.

Mae you should write a cook book or at least share some of your recipes.

Magda it was great to see you home.

Lynwood thanks for sharing Boston options.

Gracie you’re doing the most this summer. My grandkids left for camp today. They’ll be back Saturday

Holmes sounds like you had a great time with your campers. That’s a lot of work. 7 people is a full house.

chelle 10 people means a constant buzz. Love the energy but now with age my husband and I love the house quiet. We like grandkids that visit make noise and a mess then go home.8

Pot hope your cough is better. I had one last few days of ibrance

Good night all Minnie 50s keetmom Big b anyone I missed take care. Early dr appt with neurologist surgeon I guess that’s why I’m still awake.

Tanya~ I know bad move. Tomorrow the ottoman and chair arrive. Hmmmm looking up weights now. Lol 🤭 good to see you. Will be waiting to see what neurologist says. You're on my mind I am sending you strength..

Patty~ Hello sweetheart. I want you home also. I know all you want to do is be home with your dss! I am sending love and strength over the miles. Love you very much. Always thinking of you and your family. Gentle hugs and loads of support.

Mae~ Big brother is one of my favorite shows! I am also watching it. I really enjoy the show period and hate when it's over. That's why I save three and watch them all at one Time. I have at least that to watch, the last one i saw was Rachael and brett were on the block, Tyler I like, and Sam I immediate liked. The girls this year except Sam and Bailey are all Wall flowers so far. Fesy double timing Kaitlin and Hayleigh. Swaggy C having not a clue what he's doing. It's just classic television loving. It ! The Bachelorette finale tonight, and premier of bachelor in paradise next week. I am waiting to see Colton. I think he's adorable. That Tia came out of no where. I was so mad last season when Paul did not win and the meatball Josh did. Still makes me mad, Paul ran that house the entire time, once he arrived. So annoying. But love the show. This rock star chick just named herself rock star ??? Huh. Can I go now by the namestage four sister formerly known as Micmel? Lol jk. Going back to bed for a bit. Gotta Store energy like a bear for this shower this weekend. Help!!!! MBC sisters unite!! Lol much love ~M~

Haven’t seen muddling..... Hope all is well with you. 🌷

MJH-Love all the pics! The puzzle, the scenes, the veggies, the grandson and his whoopie pie! Looks like you are having a wonderful summer!

I waited around for the onc office to call me back today (I haven't even showered yet!). No call at all. I had called them on our way to NY on Friday and left my DH's cell phone number for them to have my dr call me back to discuss what chemo I wanted to do. Waited all day. Nothing. We get to Rochester and DH is looking at his emails. Well, there are 2 from our voicemails and they are from my oncologist. She said she had talked to my Dana Farber onc, and that she would be on vacation this week, and we could talk about the chemos, when she got back. She had called my home phone! I called the oncology office today, and they finally just called back at 5pm. It was one of the PAs asking me what was going on. I explained the story and how I am scheduled for chemo on Friday for Gemzar (and next Thurs and the following Fri). I told her I wanted to do CMF, which is once every 3 weeks, unlike Gemzar which is once a week for 3 weeks, then a week off. She said she would speak my local oncologist when she got back on Monday, and cancel my chemo for Friday, and that I should also call her on Monday. GRRRR! This would be all set if my dr called the number I left on the machine. I haven't had chemo since 7/5, and I am starting to worry about stuff growing (even though I am enjoying the break). Has anyone had CMF (Cytoxin, Methotraxin, Flourourcil) for treatment??

Well, now that I got the call, I can finally take a shower! Maybe I'll wait and go in the pool instead!

Gracie~I remember that day like it was yesterday. I had had enough of my hair being all over the place like the dogs. It was hard but I didn't miss the maintenance of washing it and all the money spent on hair products and coloring. But remember when the weather changes to have a sleep cap. That way when it's freezing outside your head will be warm as well. I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. Much love ~M~ hugs to you as well

Micmel, yes on the sleep cap..I probably need several so will be looking for those. It’s a relief really to have it all gone. Love to you too ❤️❤️❤️ Hope you are healing, and that your weekend is coming together. Have had you in my prayers!!! Hugs!!!

Gracie~ good deal. Wouldn't want you cold and not ready for everything. The other thing was my taste buds I had to put strawberries and fruit into my water to help me stay hydrated. I think about you every day. Tons of love coming your way. ~M~

I just took a shower and brought in with me my Bose portable speaker that my BFF got me for Christmas. I love the sound. Next thing I knew I was dancing all over my bed room and I actually didn't think of cancer. I was having a blast thinking about what's songs to choose for the wedding to dance too I want to dance a few for sure. I had a lot of fun and really felt happy that I am getting to share this time with my family. Dancing ? Who would have thought! Mother groom dance. Daughter and daddy dance etc...

Waving hello. Just had to take a break for awhile. I have been reading the last few weeks posts and I am seeing such great summer adventure postings. I have had a relatively quite summer without adventure. Unfortunately not by choice. I had radiation to S2 and S3 and have again changed drug treatment that is for some reason just rough. I am tired. I am also very moody and I am sure it is drug induced. I just need to get out of this funk.

Camping this weekend and I have no energy to get things ready.
