Good evening everyone, DH and left Vermont around noon, saw a Moose! in New Hampshire (I thought I was getting it on video but sadly, no) and arrived in Maine in time to check in to our hotel and walk down to the dock at Boothbay Harbor (pic below) for Lobster Rolls 😋 Tomorrow is the ferry to an island for a traditional New England clambake.

    I love seeing everyone’s photos!!!

Jensgottbis- what a cute and sweet puppy dog!! And gorgeous gorgeous nature!!!! Looks amazing!!

Micmel - ugh about fall and rotator cuff. Is it torn or just bruised?? Torn can take a long time to heal. I really hope that’s not it. If it is, I highly recommend getting into some PT once the initial inflammation calms down.

Mae - wow!!! Gorgeous!! I love VT and I love Maine!!!! And I LOVE lobster rolls!!!! Have one for me!!! Yummmy!

I am currently in upstate NY on the Hudson River for a family wedding. I’ll try and post a pic or two once the photographers share them with the wedding party. We’ve been having exquisite weather! Just had a yummy dinner on the Hudson River in Newburgh, NY. Very very pretty here!

I’m on last dose of Ibrance for this cycle and quite fatigued all day, although I did dance and sing and scream myself silly last night at the wedding party. The DJ was awesome! Sore throat now. Whoopsie! In bed already at 9:30pm

Mae~There you go again... I absolutely love lobster any way you want to serve it. (Except raw of course). I am in awe. I've always wanted to have a Maine lobster. I know they say there is nothing like it. would you agree with that? Now I'm hungry. Lobstah please.

Gracie~ you're on my mind as you know. Respect.

Philly~ another one of our get up and go peeps! Just like Mae.. I used to love to go And pick out dresses for a wedding. I realized with my own daughters. I don't really like to shop anymore. I sweat the entire time , and I'm skinny in some places, but since they moved some fat for my breast graft.... it's just an odd feeling of not feeling in certain places. So weird to explain. I can't feel it so how on earth can I loose it!? I'm so glad you did some dancing. I hope you sleep like a baby tonight. Good to see you always !

Pretty sure it's torn. X-ray first. (Why I don't know , always that way it seems.) Tech said looks like a broom. Some torn, some not is what I got out of it. Now they want an MRI. I'm Not doing it. Either way they can't operate. It's my lymphadeama arm and there is more risk than anything between disrupting the flow. (I have no nodes left in my Left arm. It could be disastrous for me). Or causing more of a problem. I agree once the swelling goes down I'm headed for physical therapy. I just can't believe it even happened. 😞 so disappointing... lived here 20 years. Never once did anything like this ever happen. Now. The darn dog. I was surprised to hear of so muc illness causing people to have to get rid of their pets. Now I can see one reason. (Not that I would do that). Ok insomniac checking in yet again! Going to try to sleep. So much on my mind. Gn ladies

Great photos from your travels, illimae & jen.

Micmel, so sorry to hear about the rotator cuff injury. It is a tough one to heal. I can relate to the frustrated feelings you have about the incident, as it's similar to how I felt having broken a bone in my left foot this summer after dealing with one in my right foot last summer.

And tho it wasn't my cat's fault, he was involved! Like your cat, Candy, mine is my best buddy, 15 years old, loves me to no end. A stray cat came into the yard and attacked my cat. I tore off running and screaming towards the cats to break up the fight and half way there, that left metatarsal bone snapped. (My cat was not harmed at all, happy to say.)

Micmel, I feel badly hearing about Beth Chapman. When ds was a teenager, he, dh and I were all big fans of the Bounty Hunter show . What I liked was the show was one of the few that felt appropriate to watch with a teenager: no sex, the cuss words were beeped out, Dog and his crew went looking for the bad guys, they were a blended family, they prayed before they went out searching for criminals, and when they apprehended someone, they'd drive them to jail giving some life advice about how the criminal might want to try to turn their life around. Sadly, the news about Beth doesn't sound good.

    Philly,

I love that area. The Hudson Valley has a lot of really cool places like West Point (you can take a tour), President Roosevelt’s (FDR) home and presidential library, Sleepy Hollow, etc. Mel, that would be a great trip for you and hubby. Even two days there would be fun.

Enjoy the wedding, and kick those heels up girl! Philly-style! Lol.

Yosemite, camping, WOW, that would be on my bucket list. There's so much going on here. It's hard to keep up, with all the traveling, injuries and friends in hard places.

Yesterday was Demo Day for the shed. He got it all torn down and stacked in front for the big trash guys on Friday. What a difference it makes. I can sit on my patio and see my garden . My yard is shaping up, the shed really had become an empty, ant infested and rotting eye-sore.

We all know, on this thread, why I'm trying to make my house better. Eventually, it will have to be sold. It's almost my only asset. My goal is to make that task as easy as possible for my kids. They tell me Mom, we just want you to do what makes you happy. Yes, the remodeling, especially my farmhouse kitchen and my shabby chic bedroom have given me a lot of joy. The incentives we experience with. MBC are different than the rest of the world.

I did have a fun weekend with my grandchildren. My granddaughter is now exactly my height. She was soo excited. Of course, my height is only 5' 1/2". LOL. But, she's not through growing. Her mom is 5" 2" So is my DD, so imagine she will be 5' 2". It seems that ALL the family drama is OVER. So happy about that.💞

Micmel: Wow -- sorry to hear about your faill. I hate to think of how many things might have been broken. Our cat, Aelfric, likes to walk in front of me or my DH while we are walking and then comes to a dead stop. Luckily, we both still have a sense of balance and don't trip. I hope you are on the mend!

Elderberry~Nice to see you here ! I bet a lot of falls start with a pet throwing them off balance. I know it scared the crap out of me. All I could picture was my son coming. Home and finding me. Or DD. That really freaked me out I can’t lie. Seems like we have dog and cat people here. I used to have three. A beautiful Siamese cat, a black cat, and a reddish and white cat. I loved them all. Some were more Friendly than others. If I wasn’t allergic I may try to have one after what happened. Deeohgee is a bigger dog. Not huge but I guess around 85 lbs. so when he moves, look out!! Good to see you !

Show and tell time! This is one knee and it’s still pretty swollen. Matching rug burns. The lower part of my other leg is also swollen and bruising more everyday.. just so thankful I didn’t break. Anything. In October I had a face plant while trying to go to a funeral. Never made. Inside. I didn’t want to make a big deal About me, when this was about such a sweet woman. So I just went home busted face and all. Been trying to rest, I feel like it’s whiplash. It’s exactly what it feels like.

Hope everyone is doing well!! Hugs hugs and more hugs. Uh Daniel? How is Leslie???? Haven’t heard how she’s doing in awhile. Rosie.... hello! Bella!! Hi cutie.

Gracie. Love you ! On my Mind! Lynne 50’s!

    Candy hello darling!

    Hi All -

Had my 2 scans today. Dr called to review reports.

Cancer has progressed to liver and I have a blood clot in portal vein in liver.

This is not the report I expected to hear.

Short term plan is to discontinue Ibrance as it has failed. Start blood thinner tomorrow. Decide 2nd line of therapy on Wednesday at already scheduled appt. Options will be Afinitor (plus Faslodex) or Xeloda.

Told husband first. He was with me at scans today. We expected results on Wednesday not today. He is quiet.

I am ok. God is in charge.

GumDoctor~I will never ever understand this disease ever. It makes me sick to my core. I hope this second line of treatment kicks the crap out of it. I'm hoping that since your MO seems on top of things. It couldn't be a progression that cannot be dealt with effectively! I am hoping soon you will be saying liver met wh-at?

I had a pencil head sized liver tumor, they went in and took it out. So please try to ask a lot of doctors. Especially a liver specialist, which is who I ended up seeing and he was like yeah this comes out now. Ask questions Y90? We are with you in your pocket as you Navigate this new area! Hugs sweet woman.

Micmel - Thank you for your support. Nothing on CT 2 mos ago. Today 4 cm liver lesion and this blood clot and new femur lesion. I don't get it either.

I will be studying in advance of my Wed appt and asking great questions. I already knew what to ask during her phone call late this afternoon.

I am ok. God is in charge.

Today is a drive around Rhode Island to see where DH’s family farm is/was and revisit some places from his childhood vacations. Yesterday’s lobstah was amazing!

Mae what a gorgeous looking vacation! Especially the lobster - oh my!

    Micmel - your poor legs!

Gumdoctor ok this stinks. It's hard to imagine all that appeared in two months but I also got that surprise when I was first diagnosed in April. I had CT and MRI of bones that showed progression in one month (before starting meds) and I just didn't realize visible progression occurred that quickly. I'm really sorry that you have some new decisions to make and new concerns. I know quite a few people in my support group here who have been on a number of drugs over the years and they're kicking butt at it. But still - this must feel pretty disappointing and I'm sending you a big hug.

Gumdoctor, you and your oncologist will figure it out with God's guidance. Even so, it's not what you wanted to find out. Have you had Foundation One or similar genetic testing? Maybe they can biopsy the liver met and see what might be best. Keep us posted.

    Hello to everyone.

Gumdoctor. I don't like to say welcome to the liver mets club but there are a lot of us who know how to keep living with liver mets. It is totally crazy how it can happen so fast, ill never understand. I have 2 1/2 years of my experience to share if you need me, I'm here and on three other threads. Xeloda, how are people with liver mets and local treatment.

Gumdoctor: I am so very sorry about the news. My initial DX of MBC was liver mets. It is a scary diagnosis. And for you - just two months! I hope a new line of treatment will take it down and knock it out. My new PET scan is supposedly in July and I am hoping to see my liver mets reduced or at least stable. I wish the same for you!

Runor~The game of Rugby was Deeohgee's idea not mine. I was along for the ride only. Arm isn't happy at all. I realize when I was younger. I was strong a a bear. Now maybe a retired mama bear! Good to see you as always my friend.

Mae~ I just had steak but I really want some of that lobstah! Butter a plenty please!!! Delicious food wonderful views! I agree. You look great! You're burning up the miles. Loving all the pics. But then again I always do!! Big hello to your DH, it's so nice to visit with family.

Moomala~I have matching BooBoo's. My worst is my arm. I grabbed for the railing and tried to stabilize myself for a more even fall. I feel like whiplash for sure. My arm paid the price. No matter if it's torn or not I cannot have it fixed. No more non life threatening surgeries for me. It's my lymphadeama arm, no nodes, Lots of risk. Hoping to heal it with therapy.

Muddling~Hello lovely. You're always so supportive. Hugs to you!

Elderberry~Hi darling! We will be pocket dancing when your pet comes along. We work in shifts ya know. ? We even bring snacks.

Grannax~Hi lovely lady. Sending you hugs. I know you have Gracie on your mind also! Hope you're doing well!!!

Tanya~ How is the weather in Florida? I can't take the heat I am honestly like an egg on the sidewalk. I instantly sweat. Makes me so sad I was a sun worshipper. Hmmmm hmmmmm maybe I should switch to bug spray and the mountains. Yeah that's it!
