Mara, as the others have said, congrats on the good news. So happy when I hear anyone gets a good report. Also so happy about the new spin dryer. Enjoy it girl!

    Yay Mara, congrats 🎉

I’m doing ok, been watching the genetic detective and got the bug. I’ve been online for days but not having much success on my paternal side. They came here in the 40’s from Hungary and records are difficult to come by.

So, I am mostly just hanging out and getting ready for trial radiation next week and my brain mri.

    Big hello to all 👋

    No problem Mara 🙂

Busy week ahead for me. Tues-thurs: rads, thurs: brain MRI, fri: MRI results

Trying to eat a bit more but appetite is crap. I’m down 68lbs but still over 200 currently, so I can do this a bit longer if I have to. I just hate feeling weak.

    Hello ladies. Good Saturday all.

Got up early today to go to Dollar store (high risk hour) for paper items and cleaning items. Then went to get curbside Walmart groceries I ordered yesterday. Tired from putting it all away. Need to do some laundry this afternoon--could wait until tomorrow if I wanted.

Man, the knees and hips are hurting today. I think either the untreated RA or the AI use, or both. I don't usually nap---wake up feeling like crap. But, I don't know, may nap for a while. Bedtime tonight sounds so far away.

Candy, glad you got your items at the dollar store and Walmart. I can sympathize feeling tired doing certain things. I am similar and have to do things in steps a lot too, even when showering and getting ready. Get shower, dry off and put undies on and sit, put pants and socks, sit, wash face, put top on, rest. Good for you for getting it all done anyway despite the fatigue.

Hope you can make the pain subside for yourself soon. It is so hard to deal with it.

I did nap. I reclined on recliner with my cat in my lap. We cat-napped. I rested for about an hour. Now laundry going.

I am having shooting pains in my right lower leg bone and my left lower arm bone. Noticed today and the other night too. When resting and not moving. They shoot down the length of the bone.

And, wow, when I got up I could barely walk for a few steps.

I don't know if this is posted elsewhere on the site-- but I thought a lot of people on this thread could relate.

runor: do that book... you will give that story a story.... and a personality! You could also bite off a smaller chunk by doing a book proposal w outline & and sample chapter/s.

Sorry for those of you missing your dads today.

Mine, on the other hand, can sit and sulk today, I’ve been done with my parents for a long time.

FYI, I ate a whole bean burrito from Taco Bell, it has taken several hours but it’s progress 🙂

Illimae—. Congrats on finishing a Taco Bell bean burrito!! Hope you were able to enjoy it.

Are you enjoying your pool? How I would love to float around during the day! My fear would be getting out of a pool due to sporadic back pain. So I live my pool days thru your adventures and really enjoy the photos. Thanks!!

Micmel— hugs to you today as you remember your dad. I went thru that on Mother’s Day as mom passed in 2019.

I am sure your dad would is watching over you and sharing all the memories you to shared

Today I am with my dad at his home. We are eating dinner here due to CoVid.

I can’t stop my mind from wandering... is this his last one ?? Is this my last one?? Then I remind myself that no one is guaranteed tomorrow so just make the most of the present.

Dodgersgirl, no pool time for me lately as I’m all marked up with purple sharpie lines for radiation this week. I do plan to get back in next weekend though. Sorry to hear about the back pain, I wish we could all enjoy the normal things without limitations.

Mel, I am sorry this Father's Day is so rough on you but agree with others that it is still so fresh for you. My own father has been gone 30 years in december. It took a year or two not to feel sad about Dad on this day.

Mara~I am doing better than I thought I would have. I think it was the time I got to spend with him taking care of him at the end that made me feel Happy. I was lucky to have that time, and I realize that. It made everything ok and the years of estranged life from each other faded away. Thank you ladies for even caring. It means a lot. I’m trying to enjoy the day.

imageI do want to wish my father a happy father's day. It is hard to believe it has been almost 30 years this december. He was an army drummer, travelled the world touring and have fond memories of his pipe. Would have posted to facebook but I did not want to hijack older DB own post on facebook. The boy in the pictures is my older DB.
