Bliss, I did not do anymore walking. Going to a movie tonight with a friend of mine so that will be fun. Seeing Bill and Ted face the music. Looks like fun.

Bliss, I watch lots of PBS and Britbox mysteries. I really enjoy good ones of any kinda as long as they’re spoken or dubbed in English, subtitles don’t work for me as I read slow and get distracted too easily.

Well, looks like a change is coming, MO cancelled my H&P for tomorrow and wants to see me Monday to discuss the plan. No verdict on the brain mets until tomorrow afternoon but I expect she and my neuro onc have talked about it. The potential combo would be Herceptin with Xeloda and Tukysa. I hear good things about Tukysa working well and some not so good things about Xeloda SE’s, so we shall see.

Oh my god, that movie was great. If you like the first and second Bill and Ted movie, this one is great and very laugh out loud funny. It was a lot of fun at the theater. Had my popcorn, lots of space between seats. Definitely no crowding. Had a nice time with my friend.

Mara, nice you had a good movie outting. I didn't see the first Bill & Ted, but may have to see this one. I went to see Tesla last night with my daughter, my DH is an electrician. It was good, but kind of artsy different.

Mae, I love almost anything PBS, but especially mysteries. I'm craving more Endeavor. I also want to say that I am now on Herceptin + Xeloda + Tukysa in my 3rd cycle. It's very doable although I did have a pretty bad H/F reaction my 2nd cycle of Xeloda, but only my feet. MO stopped it for a few days and using Bag Balm cleared it up within two days. Now I'm on a reduced dosage and so far so good. Join us over on the All About Xeloda thread if you do start this treatment. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Thanks Bliss, I get the official word on Tuesday. DH is uneasy about a possible change but I showed him some videos with the lead researcher for this trial combo and he feels better since she is my MO.

Xeloda works well for a lot of people. I hope if you go on it, that it kicks major ass for you. Years and years of kicking ass!

Bliss, if you want to see this one, I would watch the first two. A lot of the humor is best appreciated having seen the first two. You don't have to but it would be funnier in my opinion.

Mae - so sorry for the long wait - hard to enjoy a holiday weekend but we’ve all faced that road at one time or another. Hope you can find peace till Tuesday.

Didn’t want to mislead anyone - my nerve block was just temporary to see if I would be eligible for a more long term procedure. Typically insurance requires two test blocks b4 moving to radio frequency ablation. I had 100% pain relief for a good 10 hours which is a great result.

KBL - those pictures say it all 😢. Sweet boy.

Thank you, Goldens. I had to go out today for a few hours and made the mistake of turning on my front porch camera. I can hear my doxie girl barking and whining. I never really looked to see if she did that even with my big guy there. I asked a neighbor to come let her out. He loves her and hopefully will come and keep her company for a little while. Thankfully, she’s not alone often (actually might be why she’s sad)

I am broken-hearted! I look at him and think of what a good dog he always was. Never a problem ever. No accidents, guarded well. Not a noisy dog. Unlike my other chorus dog who’s a hound dog and bellows a lot. I feel helpless. We just try to keep helping him. We don’t want him gone. Is that selfish?

    illimae Member Posts: 5,725

Micmel, you’re not selfish but at some point you have to think, is this best for him or me? You’ll know when to make the call. Every time we’ve had to do it has been heartbreaking but necessary.

Mel, I can empathize with what you are going through when knowing when to let our furry family rest without pain. It is very difficult to do. One of my cats name Dippy actually developed breast cancer believe it or not. She was a trooper for 3 months enduring dressing changes to contain her necrosis going on in there. Once she started not wanting food, I made the painful decision to put her down for her sake. It was so very painful but needed to be done. She was no long suffering after that. You will know when best to let your furry family member have a rest as well.

OMG, I turned on the oven in the kitchen after removing all posts and pans. I was going to bake some washing soda in there. My apartment got smoky and there was no range hood. Opened windows and used fans to direct it out the window. Thoroughly cleaned the burners and checked inside the oven as I have never actually used it. There was a melted tray that belongs in the oven on the rack that was broken and a lose wire in the oven near the heating element. I think they owe me a new oven. I was going to use it for storage but no more. They need to give me another one.

Oh Mara, that sounds kinda scary, I’m sorry.

Discussed the tumor board meeting with my neuro radiation onc’s nurse today. Lots of ideas thrown around surgery, different radiation. The lesions have not grown since the last MRI but they believe the prominent area is cancer rather than radiation effect. They’re saying “no definite progression” and want to do another MRI in 8 weeks, so I’m still not sure what MO wants to discuss Tuesday. I’m ok with indefinite, tiny, slow/no growing possible cancer for now. Clear as mud, right?! Lol.

Mae, that's a lot of non answers. Seems complicated but no definite progression so I'm celebrating on your behalf!

Mara, scary oven! glad you noticed the problem quickly!

    Hello to all.

Mae, maybe they're wanting to start you on H+X+T for now just in case before your next scans to see if that tx makes a difference? That's what my MO did when several scans for me were unclear. That's awesome your MO was the lead researcher on the trial.

Mara, thanks for the advice to watch the other movies first.

Mae~No progression is what I’m holding onto out of that discussion. I hope whatever tx change. It will be tolerable and work very well.

Mara~Scary kitchen story. Better get a new oven in there. They can’t play either. Big ticket electronics!!! You need one stat! Good thing you saw it. That’s scary.

Bliss ~ nice to see you.

Moth~ nice to see you as well...

the weekend is here. Where there isn’t anything to watch and my DH doesn’t work as much on the weekends but god knows he won’t stay away. He works so hard. Today I got us at 948. It was awesome. I felt pretty good all day because of it. I wish everyday was like that. What tine are all you ladies up in the morning. ??

Mel, I’m thinking of you with your pup. I’m sorry it’s so heartbreaking. My heart was hurting today myself. I think of my boy and tears well up.

I was up at 5:15 this morning. That’s about the normal time I wake up.

I have to say I had a great day. I went to the zoo with my daughter and grandbaby. They got passes that include a guest for the whole year. They’ve gone two to three times a week. This was my first time in a long time. I had more energy today than I’ve had in a while.

I came home and rested, and my doxie is just out of sorts because she was home alone for the first time without her dog brother. I decided to take her for another walk, even in the awful heat. My sister lives right up the road, but I haven’t seen her since March, only spoken on the phone. I called her up and asked if she could just come outside to see my doxie because she loves her. I ended up asking if she wanted to come over and stay six feet apart. We had over a two-hour visit. My heart is full today. I really needed it.

Mara, sorry about your oven issue. That does sound scary.

Mae, nothing is ever easy, is it? It’s an everyday struggle to find answers.

KBL~5:15 wow uh No. I’m glad you got to visit your sister for that long. I miss mine also , who knows when we can even sit down for a dinner together.? Nothing is easy.

Lol. I haven’t slept past 6;30 in I don’t know how long. I went to bed at midnight as well, and I woke up at 6:40. I slept in.

I hope they get to me today. I forgot to put the time I wanted them to come so sent another to say between one and three today. If I have to go out, I will clear out the hall and put the kitchen stuff in the bedroom. I find it odd that there is an oil type substance on the slotted pan in the oven (not mine, was in the stove) and I never cooked anything in there before myself. Kept a couple of pans and the strainer in the copper pan. Never used oil in those things either. Still smells. Almost think there was some kind of explosion or spark because the slotted pan that was in the oven was broken and the material leaked at the bottom. If they do not come this weekend, i will again tell them to come on Tuesday since it is labour day.

Have not done too much, took out garbage. Walked half an hour on my treadmill and then did mini elliptical for half an hour. Am nice and sweaty. Going to get changed and wait for Amazon. I was so upset about being scammed for the first wee washer, I bought a bucket and one that clips to the side of the bucket. It is a legit little washer, reviews are pretty good. Also bought an ottoman cover that is coming today. Looking forward to it. If it looks good, I will get one to cover a rubbermaid tote that acts as an end table. Would make the living room look nicer. Planning to move items I am not using in the kitchen up to the top of my cupboards and move food items in the cupboards in the kitchen as well.

I will say that I am glad I have my breville oven that I can use instead which is the usual one I use. But my lease includes a working oven so I will stay on top of them to replace it. Don't want a repair because I still don't know what the stuff was that caused the stink. I also don't think it was a burning in the oven that sometimes happens when it is new. You would not get oil from that or that much smoke either.
