It really is fun to see all the wedding pictures. Takes us back to a time when we were young and in love. Looking forward to our new lives together. It was a beautiful moment in time, I treasure the photographs, memories and our love story.

I am glad we didn't have a crystal ball to see the future. Even for those of us who did stay married for forty years, till do us part, it wasn't all rosy, easy or fun. A lot was hard times. Of course the in sickness and health played a bigger part than we ever imagined. Even with those memories, or even divorce I have loved seeing the wedding pictures.

My DS is closing on his new house on Wednesday. Then they will move a few things over each day till the movers come on March 5 to get the big stuff. Then on the 9th they go snow skiing for spring break!?!? What? I would have cancelled that trip and used the time off to move in. I forget that they are young and full of energy, nothing is impossible for them at this point in their lives. I used to be like that. Now that I think about it, my first DX I was their age. Kinda zapped some of the energy and opened my eyes to the fact that I was not invincible. Well, I'm grateful they are not experiencing overwhelming health issues right now. I pray they never do.

Ibrance has me dealing with mouth sores more than usual and fatigue. Grrr. The Ibrance dance, you never know what you're gonna get.

Good morning; Grannax~ I hope you had a good nights sleep. My kids woke me up. I think they Came Home a little tipsy. I got the fifteen hugs and kisses from DD. “I love you MaMa, I am sorry I don't say it enough....you've been a good mother and I want you to be here with me.....please fight this cancer hard.... I need you...". It was actually really sweet. Her fiancé was obviously the Designated driver. But I wouldn't drink like that again if you paid me! I hope everything goes smoothly for your sons closing on his house!! That's a really big deal in someone's life. I remember, during the entire mortgage process.... I would rather have a gum scraped. It's so stressfull.......will he be closer to you? I hope ?

I have to tell you ladies again how much fun I had yesterday with you all and the wedding photos. It was something we all have in common again and even if it did end in divorce, like Divine said... we still at one time had the experience and then it was ok!! Anything before BC is a memory of strength and youth to me. I was 24 then ... where did the time go?! Much love to you all ~M~

imageThis is wedding number two, December 14, 1991. I can't access album from number one, but I'd like to because my Mom sewed my dress. This dress in photo was a $35 cocktail dress from TJMaxx! We had about 35 guests and a reception at my parents home where I did most of the food. Our three daughters ages 15,11,5 were in the wedding. They wore Christmas color plaid flannel jumpers with white blouses. It was a lovely day, but I was a little shaky jumping into the frying pan again. I was driven by being madly in love!

MJH~ I can see the love in your eyes when you're looking at him with that content beautiful smile of. “Ok I love you" he's looking at you like it was meant to be! I love what head piece you chose. Compliments your hair. I love the idea that your children were in the wedding, that covers romance and family. The jumpers sound perfect!! Your flowers are perfect for the season. Beautiful red roses aremy very favorite, I was married in spring, so lighter tones. But my DD has a main color of burgundy as her wedding color so I like that lots! Also love your pearls! I hope the day was as beautiful as you were!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us! I'm loving it all so much! This is why we fight so hard! LOVE!! ~M~

Micmel, tradition for Brides to be given a horse shoe by children, maybe neighbours kids. I had 2, one from a cousins little girl, and another from a neighbours daughter.

    Love all the wedding pics

Micmel, My DH and I were in NY state for a few days visiting my son and grandchildren. Our granddaughter took the test for her purple belt in Jujitsu, so we watched that and also watched our grandson's soccer game. The weather was wet and cool. Yucky is the word that comes to mind. We will leave for Florida on Thursday. I am hoping for good weather there. We will be there for a month. It sounds like a very long time to me. My next MO visit, blood tests, Faslodex injections, and next month's Ibrance cycle will be delayed two weeks due to my trip. I am a bit nervous, but it will be nice. I haven't had more than 4 weeks between MO visits since I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago.

My TMs were up again last week. That is 4 months in a row. I guess when I repeat scans in April I will find out if I made a mistake when I decided to stay on current medications rather than start a new treatment plan. Hmmm,.

    Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Lynne(50's)~I dont blame you at all! I honestly don't want to switch to anything new either. It's so difficult to know how jerk Mr C is going to behave. I haven't even asked what's next for me, because I'm actually scared to know. I don't want to have different side effects to get through, or learn to live with all over again. That's crap. I really hope your markers are Just because of tumor flare and lady ibrance is kicking some bad a**! I will also be on a two week break for this up coming Surgery in March. My Onc gave me the green light, but the entire process once you're thrown into is just plain awful! Sending positive thoughts your way sweetheart! Much love ~M~

Lynnwood~I love all the lace in the front of your dress!!! It's kinda like playing peek a boo with your Husband to be!! We're you taunting him?? You look so beautiful, and sure of about what you're going to do, contemplating your future. The curvature of the lace in your veil is absolutely striking with the outline of your hair and face.

I am just honored to have been able to see all of your beautiful wedding photos. It has truly made my weekend. I really think that by doing that together, it really made me feel like we were all sitting at one table able admiring each of our special moments in time. It's like building friendships and sharing moments. He we are together, almost daily, sharing struggles, fears, happiness, wedding planning, vacations, stories of family, to me this is my safe place, where everyone around me can shake their heads and say yup know how that feels, instead of a bunch of blank faces, with the best of love and intentions, looking like deers in headlights when I break down in fear of an up coming scan. But here, an unspoken understanding goes miles and miles for help and support. I value each and every one of you. Thank you for sharing your time and trusting me to be your friend, that you would share this journey with me here. It's really a special group, that I have come to count on and look forward too. ♥️♥️♥️To all of you! ~M~

Minnie~ i had never heard of that before about the horse shoes, I think that is absolutely precious. How sweet of you to carry something a neighborhood child had given you. That is so telling of the kind of woman that you are. Most kids don’t think that way... they want presents, not the other way around lol.

I have an issue that I don’t know much about with their religion, and I don’t have a problem with anything I am not educated about, and can honestly say cannot form any opinion without knowledge or experience to some extent. My DD’s fiancé family believe in marriage, but Not the celebration part after words. So the parents will be at the court house, when they do officially say their vows. So...... after that, on Saturday, when the actual reception will be held. But they will not be attending. I am going to purchase something special for his mother so she knows that I am respecting her place in the wedding and as his wonderful Mother who raised a wonderful man... this is what I chose.... I hope it would be elegant but not too much. Even if she never wears it. She will have something from it as a gift of remembrance. Much love ~M~

I just woke up. I sleep a lot!! Actually it's turned into my work outs! That and Always shopping for the wedding. I am almost done with every decoration item. (Now keep in mind, I didn't buy plastic decorations.) I bought real linens, real linen socks for the chairs and beautiful different colors of table runnners, chair bows, napkins, champagne silver flutes, Needed for the reception!!! All the plates, cups, utensils, centerpieces, balloons, streamers, cake cutter, her bouquet, and her jewelry for her bridal ensemble. Plus at least five things for the bridal shower that I have seen and liked for her. I can't even mention how much I have spent or remember everything but a lot has already been bought. My MOB dress did come in also With my new boob I'm hoping it still feels comfortable I do like it a lot I have a hips And I hate them , that's where my weight goes bam 💥 ! The deal was I would take care of the reception items plus her dress, the venue I am Paying for!

There part is are alcohol, cakes, food, for both, her make up and hair, her nails and his tux. Her shoes. The servers during the reception. As it gets closer I am hoping that I’ll be able to help more and knowing me I won’t be able to help myself because it’s so much fun! Hope everyone day is at least an ok day!

I am thinking of all scanners and testers today. I am in your pocket making noises for distraction. I am here waiting. We all know how it feels. Much love ~M~

Michel, Wow, you have accomplished a lot in a short period of time. That wedding will be beautiful. You probably don't want to add up the cost of everything you have bought or ordered. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss. I can't wait to see pictures of the big day. Tell us about your dress. What color did you choose? What style? Have you decided on shoes?

The wedding pictures are all wonderful. Everyone looks so beautiful in the photos. It is so much fun to see the different styles. Each is perfect for the woman who chose it! Next we will have to post our baby pictures. Just kidding!

My MO called this morning to talk about my rising TMs. He wanted to move up my scans even earlier than scheduled (and that was already earlier than normal). He knows I am heading out of state and was hoping to have them done before I left, but that won't happen since there is not enough time. Instead, he is having them rescheduled to as soon as I get home, so early April instead of late April. We talked for a while, and he stressed the fact that although it is "concerning" that my TMs have risen steadily and I have new nodules in my lungs, that fact that I still feel great is the most important factor. I am going with that. When I leave (at a way too early time) on Thursday morning, I will leave my MBC concernshere in NH. Tanya, I have looked at the weather forecast, and I see that you have come through for me. The weather is expected to be perfect. Thank you.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

    Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Since we all had so much fun posting our wedding pictures, now let's post our MOB and or MOG, pics. My DS had a big, big fancy one, My DD had a very small, very casual one. (She wore flip flops). What do you think?💞

    micmel Member Posts: 10,057

the dress color I chose was burgundy, because her colors are silver, pink and burgundy!!! I always wear black and I wanted to match the venue and the event. I'll try to get a pic of it!!! 🤗

Hi Gracie~ glad to see you. Hoping the ibrance is working, it’s still only the second round correct ? It was really hard for me Too the first three months. But then again what isn’t hard about all of this !? 😕. Sending hugs. I hope you’re feeling better than yesterday! ~M~

Omg I love the Hat!!!!! What a nice touch. I never thought of that! What a lovely bride. Look Divine. She is wearing the strapless dress you made trendy!!!!💜 I love her hair. Everything. Isn't it funny how brides usually wear their hair up? I love her happy gorgeous smile. It makes my heart sing thinking I'll be able to have a pic like that soon for my DH's wedding. I just feel so large compared to what i used to be like. These meds just pack on the pounds no matter what we seem to do. The jacket is a great idea!!!! That would have hidden my arm sleeve for lymphedema that I have to wear everyday! I'm just going to cut it.(the sleeve) I should have seen this pic before I bought the dress 🤗.

I am going to have to put out my monster of the bride and father of the bride pics because I have them and then you guys can see that, the wedding was so lovely and looked so happy and was for many years. My dad and I are twins. I have one more full photo of my dress that isn't dark. It will show the full thing and where she wants to alternate it! I also tried to get a pic of my MOB that I will be wearing once my surgery is completed. Loving that that more thanwords!and the beautiful strapless dress!! Gorgeous crowd! What year was that ?? I should have thought more on the jacket part of choices. What a great idea. I adore your dress. You look awesome! ~M~

this is the very front of the dress my DD will be wearing. I can't belive I was 24 then. So now I am 47 and I have developed cancer. I am trying on my MOB to post shortly. This picture is up close to see the embroidery,in the fabric. I want to wear my dress again! Wahhhhh!

imageSee how the sleeves are really too puffy for her. At the time I liked and it was very in at the time. Just like the different fabrics that changed through the years. Much love ~M~. I also have one of my sister the one that I am estranged from that chose my X over me and my kids. I thought we were close. I grew up with her! I don't understand what happened!
