Minnie I love this photo, three beautiful women on a very special day. The stole is so striking for a winter wedding, is the bride's a cape?
Being able to see each other at these different milestones of our lives is inspiring. Just to know how much we've all been through to get to those momentous occasions. We are tenacious, especially when it comes to our children.💞

minnie, was a gorgeous picture of elegance, you and yout daughters, in black and white, classy and timeless! Love it.
Grannax, I, too, have looked at photos of dh and myself before I was dx with mbc and about five years later. Sheesh. I think, where did the innocence go? But I give us credit for weathering the storms, even if we look weathered!
Micmel, I am five feet tall, and have always thought taller women with hips are beautiful. Oh to be tall. Of course, since I wasn’t, I always wanted to be. I was for ten years a school aide, so I worked with many women in all shapes, ages and sizes, and I saw so much beauty in these women over those years. I love the Netflix series Orange is the New Black—a bit wild of a show, but it has the wonderful mix of women of all ages, ethnicities, shapes and sizes and that’s one big reason it appeals to me. Regular tv gives us too many perfectly perfect perky positive young slender women. I don’t know a lot of those in real life! You must speak well to yourself, silence your inner critic. You would not say the things to others you say to yourself. It is okay to like and love and be proud of yourself. Every.day.
And will you be accessorizing your mother of the bride dress with jewelry? How will you wear your hair?

Micmel, obviously, you are not seeing what we see when we look at your picture. Personally, I think you are even more beautiful now than you were in your wedding gown . Your MOB dress is just perfect. I can't wait to see you in the wedding pictures next fall. You will look radiant, tears and all. Btw, I had tears of joy streaming down my face at all my sons's weddings.
MJH, I am glad that you are feeling better. My dad had type2 diabetes, and I know that abnormal blood sugar levels can make a person feel "lousy". I am glad you are getting things under control. A pedicure sounds heavenly to me right now. I will be thinking of you as you have your PET scan on Friday. I hope your results are stellar. My TMs have been a good indicator for me in the past. I am hoping that is no longer the case. Time will tell.
Grannax, The pictures are wonderful. I think you look fantastic for both weddings. You certainly had a tough 5 years between those weddings. I wish you could have been spared all that pain. I don't think that any of us like what happens to our bodies as we age, with or without cancer. I think you look wonderful in the pictures. You look polished, sophisticated, and beautiful. I love the last two sentences of your post. I feel the same way. I would no longer fit into my size 2 wedding gown, my skin looks like an alligator, and my hair has grayed and no longer has that old luster, but I am here enjoying life.
Minnie, You are part of a family of beautiful women. Your daughters have you gorgeous smile and lovely eyes. Wow.
Lynne, I am glad you are feeling better. I am also glad that you didn't have to stay at the hospital. You must have been completely exhausted by the time you got home. Enjoy your time in the timeshare with your daughter and grandsons. Relax while you are there. Your wedding pictures are beautiful. The dress is breathtaking, and you look stunning. The Manchester Country Club is a great place for a wedding reception.
Gracie, I am sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. I hope that you body begins to adjust to the Ibrance. What dosage are you taking?
Hello to everyone I have missed. I will check in soon to say hello.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Divine~I rarely wear my hair up! I did for my wedding. But I am for sure wearing it down. I haven't even thought of my jewelry, to be honest, I am a ring person and I never try to draw any attention to my chest ever now. Perhaps once my surgery is finished that my change a little, but my port is never going anywhere! Anytime soon! As in forever. I'll wear my charm bracelet from pandora that DH has gotten for me and the kids and him add the charms for birthdaysand holidays. ITs full! I love each charm. They tell our story. I'll be wearing that for sure. Thanks now for making me think about that!! I need to get a necklace! 🤗🤗☺️ ~M~

Hi all, checking in.... No MOB or MOG pics to share but I look forward to future suggestions.
DH came through the surgery just fine, it was pretty quick and he’s moving about without needing much assistance. I just have to be careful not to make him laugh, which is tough because I’m a joker.

Mae, That is good news! I am happy that your DH is doing well after surgery. Will it be difficult for you to keep him from overdoing things as he recovers? You must be biting your tongue so you don't make him laugh. I hope he continues to have a quick and smooth recovery.Make sure you take care of yourself, too.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Mae~ so very glad that your DH is moving around already. I know they don't let you loaf around, they get you up and moving for sure. I don't think it's possible for you not make him laugh lol. I hope he's better in no Time! Was this an outpatient surgery. I don't even know if hernia was outpatient always ? Glad all is well, I was thinking about you! ☺️ ~M~

Micmel, your charm bracelet sounds gorgeous. Aside from special ocassions, I don't wear much jewelry, either, but I wear earrings every day, hoops or other simple styles, but I am not completely dressed without them! So of course I loved the pearl earrings you wore in your wedding photos, they enhanced your bridal ensemble perfectly. You really rocked the look!

illimae, nice to hear your dh is recovering well.

Divine~ I hadn't really thought about it, but I haven't worn that bracelet since I've been diagnosed. I am looking forward to wearing it. I have nice diamond studs. I think that will be just enough of a touch. I just have to search necklaces now! I adore that bracelet. I have a stone for each of my kids birthdays...my birthday and my DH's birthdays, beautiful sparkle,a dog that looks like my hound dog and one that looks like our rescue, a dog house, a dangling rhinestone bone....a few sparkles in blue my favorite color..a Mom charm...a heart from DH, and i♥️U charm as well. As I sit here and try to remember all the beautiful charms there are. I am going to start wearing it. Why shouldn't I right ? It's so very special to me. Thanks for the jewelry reminder! Much love ~M~ I do agree with the pearls. The bracelet I have it like white gold. Hmmmmm not sure what to do. Lol goodnight ladies !

Loving these photos and memories. Micmel, that dress is lovely, I love that deep burgundy. It almost looks eggplanty, it's so intense. Very classy.

yes Grannax, she married in Banff in Canada in March. Lots of snow still around

Glad DH is doing well illimae. My DH is a joker and after his heart bypass op, he had the other guys on the ward in stitches. All holding pillows against their recently operated heart wound to hold everything, snorting with laughter. That was 16 years ago! Speedy recovery

Love the details about your Pandora bracelet, Micmel. Such a beautiful way to keep reminders of those you love close at hand, literally! You will just have to experiment with the dress and see what looks and feels right to you in terms of accessories. I have rare occasions to wear a dress, so for my niece's wedding several years ago, I realized my dress needed a little zing. What looked best was an inexpensive swarovski necklace and matching earrings I had. It surprised me that I liked it with the dress and I only knew because I experimented with what was in the jewelry box.
Found a picture...a little blurry but you can see the jewelry, subtle but finishes the look. I fussed over my hair for several months, paying attention to how it was cut, colored and how I curled it, to make sure it turned out the way I wanted it to look in pictures the day of the wedding. Very self centered, but I don't regret it! The dress goes to solid black for the skirt, and has a peach colored belt. Her wedding colors were black and white with red accents so the dress was a good find.

Runor~you're so very very sweet!! I also love the dress a lot. I am really happy that I like it so much. Now to figure the shoes and the jewelry! I can't seem to remember everything if I don't write it down. Thank you for always a being a shining light with your humor! Always so glad to see you.much love ~M~

Minnie~ sounds like my DH also, while I was in the hospital, he hid behind the door and was making faces at me while the nurse was asking me questions about how I felt. Lol even though I was dealing with the worst time of my life really, laying in that hospital bed.....and there he was making me smile And trying everything he could to make me smile and take care of me like he always does. Sounds like we have some wonderful spouses in our group!! That is the best thing to help with Illness, someone who knows you and wants the best for you always ! Hugs to you dear woman. ~M~

Divine~ you are truly lovely. Your smile is lovely and I love your hair!!! I love the earrings, I can't tell if they are diamonds or pearls...or diamonds. I agree it was just right, I think also for me the heavy jewelry is too hot on my neck. So I always kept it light. I am going to have to do some searching. I can guarantee I won't wear it too much, or even again.. for that matter. But I love your hair! The earrings and the necklace matching Is what need, something exactly what I would like! Thanks for the idea. And suggestion. Much love ~M~

I just realized your name suits you very well! Divine for Miss Divine!!! You’re a special person. Thanks for the support! Big hugs! ~M~

Grannax~The jewelry you wore in the pictures with your son looks fabulous! I would love something like that!! But I was thinking maybe also a choker type thing because it may take away attention from my butchered chest and ugly third eye (my port). Hugs to you all this morning !
I had my hair done yesterday. She's been doing my hair for 18 years now and I really like her. She does a great job. She checked my hair and said it's amazing how healthy it is, she also said it's growing like a weed which I really enjoy hearing lol. It's below my shoulders. She said tnmay even be as close to what I had before I lost it to chemo, if It keeps growing at this rate. I would love that, then I could put it half way up in a style. It's actually rather curly, I don't like it very much, DH says he does. But I like it straight. Always have. So I guess I'll see. These pictures are so gorgeous, I keep getting great idea from all you lovely ladies! I told my DD about the overall wedding Mae had and she said, why didn't I think of that and save everyone's money and I still would look hot! I said yeah. Mae did too! Lol it was a cute moment! It's just how you feel inside your heart. Marriage is beautiful when you find your person. Even if it ends in divorce, I told her. There was love at one point that brought you together. Just nurture it like you would something you cherish. Everyday you can't take anything for granted. Cherish everyday. And feel lucky you found your person.
When I was divorced, it was ugly. Real ugly. He wasn't nice and the kids were I guess 8 and 6 at the time and he wouldn’t leave. (14 months apart they are) it was rough. He did try to use them as tools. I never did. I never said a bad word, but I told the truth. He didn't. And soon enough they saw it on their own and came to me, and told me they didn't feel safe or comfortable with him, and they would rather just have him come pick them up and take him for dinner around here and come right back. No more sleep overs. Of course he blames me for talking things into their heads. But that was honestly never the case. Even my DH now , witnessed his behavior and how I reacted. Every phone call he made to me was yelling. And threats to take him away from me. Even though I was the one who really spent 24 7 with them.
So I would hang up. He was a monster at the time, getting my family who was all local to me against me by lying about mostly everything basically , those people who I thought were my family, close with me, started telling me what to do. But they didn't live in my shoes. It got UGLY. But I went my own way, on my owns terms. The ONE person who stood by me unconditionally was my sweet DH now. He moved mountains to save me and he still is. It looks like when I move down to MD, in 2019 I'm going to be going to NIH (National Health Institute, (DH knows a few people who work there) I love my team now, I have to admit that upsets me. But it is one of the best health institutes in the nation. Soooo much to think about this coming year. So much to dooooo in between, it’s overwhelming at times .I hope my head doesn't explode!!!! Have a great day ladies. Hugs and more hugs. ~M~

Divine, you look so lovely in your picture! The jewelry really went well with your outfit. I don't even own a dress, I wore a fancy pantsuit to my brothers wedding but it would never fit me now! Micmel, you are a very strong woman to go through all of that..I can't even imagine! I'm blessed that I found the one when I was 15 and he was 17, we married at 20 and 22 ( who does that anymore!) and we are now 58 and 60. Still in love and best friends.0

Micmel. The earrings and necklace were a great find. I took two of my best friends and my jeweled jacket to a store called Sam Moon. It's huge and has so much stuff you can wear yourself out looking. But, none of the jewelry is real, mine was just rhinestone. I think the set was only $15. But we picked the perfect set to match the clusters on my jacket. I also wore my mother's big diamond ring. She died in January and the wedding was in October. It was so hard to not have her there. I wore her fancy gold and diamond watch. I wore My wedding ring on my right hand. All together, it really looked nice and held good memories with her ring and watch sparkling so beautifully.
I'm off to my happy place today.....you guessed it, I'm going to stay with my grandchildren today and tomorrow. My DS and DDIL have to go to the closing on their new house. I'm supposed to pick up kids from school and get them to their activities. My DGD has theater tonight. I hope I get to peek in and watch. It's theater for 2 hours and hip hop for one hour. But I doubt my DGS will think that's fun to watch. Ha. So we'll probably go back home and do what he wants to do.
I hope everyone has a great day.💞

Grannax~ they are just lovely!!! I wish I had that place in our town lol soundslike my price range also. That jacket is stunning I agree. I don't know who brought it up but it really is.
Thinking of everyone who is scanning today. I am sending strength and good thoughts! 💜💜
Much love ~M~

good afternoon ladies,
I have enjoyed all the wedding pictures. So much love and care going into your special days.
I married in a black dress with beautiful pink and melon colored flowers. I don’t have one picture of it. I think I’m a hippie or something bc I never cared about all that white wedding dress stuff. My sons and daughters all had the formal weddings with the white dresses.
I’ve been married to my DH for 38 years with an anniversary coming in April.
I’m at the airport waiting for my eldest DS. She’s visiting for about a week. I’m excited to spend this time with her.
I have an onc appt today and she’s insisting on going with. I’ve tried to discourage her since I have to get infusion faslodex and blood work. I remembered what Mae said about her friend becoming emotional and I definitely didn’t want to have that happen to my DS.
Today’s my first off day from my 100mg ibrance cycle. I hope I get a quick bounce back. The last 3 days I was tired but nothing like the 125mg
Have a wonderful day all!
Tanya

Feeling happy because my sister is going to visit. Haven't seen her for a long time, just through doing different things, and work and stuff. Happy days x

Tanya~ Hello darling. Today was a sleepy day for me. My worst hours are between 2:30 and 5:30. I am always so tired and that is when my fatigue is the worst. I always end up sleeping. Then I wake up with a headache. Feel like crap! Then can't wait to go to bed again! I hope you're day was better than mine my dear.
Grannax~ Hope you have fun with your grandkids. !
Minnie~ that Is so exciting. Nothing like having your family around you. You sound so excited and it makes me feel so happy for you. That is great!
Gracie~ hope you're feeling better.
Mae~ Hope hubby is ok and on the mend! I'm sure you haven't made him laugh too hard lol.
Much love to everyone today scanning and PET scans today. My DSF, has some tests. It's looks like it's pretty clear. I didn't need to hear another cancer diagnosis. My brother is having a hard time since his heart attack. I know he will never Be the same either. Some damage has been sustained, he feels fatigue and sickness.... much like we do... I am realizing, the way he explains it.. sure does sound like us.... I guess Being sick period for whoever you are is sohard! Hugs to anyone who needs one. ~M~

I have to say, I find something that is really helping, when my palliative care doctor set me up with my medical marijuana card last time I saw her. I went down had my doctor meeting and she suggested some things to help. They work amazing. I am thrilled. However, I started running low and wanted to go back and refill again this week. Which thank goodness I have no monthly limit, because of extensive history of pain. The last thing I would've ever imagined, would be that they would be out of product!!!! I was shocked. It seems that this dispensary that is like fifteen mins from my house is the only one in the area that has a functioning dispensary at all! I was told it was going to Be by county. Oh it should be. They better start getting on the ball opening up these other places, obviously people need help. I really hope as they get more open the product inventory won't dip up and down like this, because honestly, it's not by ANY means cheap. But it really helps tremendously! I highly recommend it for bone mets. It helps the pain issues completely! Hope all is well!
Tanya~ hope your sister arrived safely, I hope she was ok at your infusion and you're feeling ok. I am sure no matter what dress you would choose to be married in You would be lovely. Just like your heart!I kinda dig the black dress thing!!!! Much love to you ~M~

micmel. Your step father has cancer. So sorry, what type? And your brother has damage from a heart attack, he's too young for that I assume. Yes, family illnesses take their toll on those we love.
I am having fun with my grandchildren. They live about 45 minutes from my house. It's still Dallas metroplex but on the other side of Dallas from me. Their new house is in the same neighborhood.
How frustrating about not being able to get something that helped with your pain. I hope it gets straightened out soon.

Thank you Divine, MJH, Lynnwood and Minnie, and yes time does fly by!. Divine, my niece said she wants to wear my wedding dress because it looks like Princess Kate's. She's only 20 and doesn't have a serious boyfriend yet. I told her only if she can fit in it. It was an Alfred Angelo gown, and I only paid 350.00 for both the gown and the veil (boy have times changed!).
Grannax and Minnie, loved your mother of the children pics. Our younger daughter Lindsay's 6th anniversary is tomorrow (well, not really, she doesn't get an anniversary this year, she got married on the 29th!). I'll have to post a pic or two.My husband, myself, Lindsay and Nick.
Our family (minus our grandson Aiden, he was conceived on their honeymoon).
Lindsay and Matthew, before the wedding.
The snow started at the luncheon. This was a fun pic we did in the back yard.
She just had a city hall wedding (the already had a 10 month old son, they now have 2), and a small luncheon at a restaurant. Our older daughter was engaged, and her fiance called off 4 months before the wedding. Our 2 sons aren't married yet either. Hopefully, I will get to go to go to their weddings too someday.
Lynne-Have a wonderful vacation in FL! Enjoy you family! Bring back some sunshine!
Had fun watching my grandsons, older daughter, and my youngest, playing in the pool with the kids yesterday. If I hadn't gone to the ER this weekend, I would've been in there too! The oncology office called while I was gone, and wanted me to come in today for blood work and see the PA. I got home too late to call them back. They called again today to have me come in today. I told them I don't have a ride and didn't feel comfortable driving there because I hadn't driven in a month. I told them I haven't had a fever since the hospital and was feeling fine. I will be there on Fri. She said so you want me to tell them that. I said yes. I'm already going to be there 3 days in the next week and enough is enough. If I wasn't feeling well, I would have had my husband come get me, which he would have today, but it's crazy to go 2 days before my oncology/blood work appointment. I'm on 2 antibiotics until next Wed, I really don't see the point!
Enjoying all the pics!
Have a great day tomorrow everyone!
Lynne
