My wife has been off xeloda for two years now. It worked so well during the year she was on it that they approved for her to try Ibrance plus letrozole, on a compassionate basis as it was not yet approved in Canada, and praise God, it continues to work. It's easier on her than the xeloda, but it has side effects for sure.

Oh that is wonderful news!! Gives me great hope too.
Thanks so much for responding.

Husband11: Thank you! Those are great news for me because I eat pretty much seeds (including apricot seeds because of the b17). I hope your wife is doing well. HUGHS

Katana, I have been on X for 4 years.
Let me start by saying, after 3 liters of IV fluids, this morning I feel 98%. However, after 13 hours between dr and hospital, all the same tests again, liver enzimes still going through the roof, of course they are all thinking that the liver is loaded with cancer, so CT scan of chest and abdomen. WELL, they see not a thing anywhwere, everything is clear! They can't see a damn thing. So now they are going to check for hepatitis.
I think I remember reading on Joe's protocol, people have a big rise in liver enzymes, so I need to go back and look.

Goldie you’re having a healing crisis! You might be the first winner here in the fenben competition! Congratulations!
0 -
Well, I'll take that, but still doesn't explain why I have been so sick. I don't thing the FenBen had anything to do with that.
0 -
Yes Goldie a healing crisis makes you feel HORRIBLE. Your liver is trying to detox the dead cancer cells. They are dying off so fast liver can't keep up.

Wow Snooky, ya think? If the Hep A comes back neg, I'll be chuckling under my breath. I wonder how long it will take for the liver enzymes to start falling back to normal. I will start again today on my protocol, will be my 4th round. I'm kind of getting excited now!

Goldie you might want to take milk thistle supplements. They cleanse the liver.
Also vegetable and fruits juices would be good, but not the store bought...they have to be freshly squeezed in order to utilize their enzymes. 30 minutes after something is juiced the enzymes are gone, all you're drinking is sugary water....
They couldn't detect any cancer! That's what's important....everything else it's a lot easier to deal with!
Auguri! Like they say in Italy

Frisky, do you have a good recommendation for the milk thistle? I do juice, mostly I use bananas and other fruits that I have frozen and will add carrots, beets, celery, etc.
I do think they saw some of the bone cancer, but since we already knew about that, not a concern.
0 -
Goldie, I would also take Selenium in addition to the Milk Thistle.
Frisky help me with my memory here.....isn't Molybdenum used against one of the toxins set off by dying cancer cells?
Drink water, water, water, might try juice of fresh lemon in it.
Also, Goldie, If I were you I'd flush my intestines to help move the toxins along.
You might want to skip this weeks Fenben in order for your liver to get itself cleansed. Eat easily digestible foods too. Nothing spicy No caffeine for a few days.
Good luck!

I think I have skipped 2 weeks, might be only one tho, just not sure. How does one flush intestines? Miralax, fleet enemas? I am having normal bowel movements. Sometimes I put a little cranberry juice in my water, just to flavor it.

Hi Goldie, the best milk thistle is standarized milk thistle. Puritan's Pride or Piping Rock are good ones. ALA is very good for liver too, and sodiun thiosulphate to detox clorum and heavy metals. The liver flush is excelent, you can read how to do it in google: Andreas Moritz liver flush. It turned my fat liver in a normal one. HUGS

Snooky, I have to confess I'm completely ignorant regarding the use of Molybdenum...
Goldie, you've gotten very good suggestions already.
The liver flush is highly recommended for cleansing the liver, but it's a bit of a procedure...
When I was originally diagnosed, almost 5 years ago, my first MO recommended 2 coffee enemas @ day to keep the liver free of toxins...that’s quite a procedure as well, but you will feel so much better immediately

Thank you ladies for all of your support. I'll the things up that are mentioned above, and I do believe pretty harmless. But I will say, I feel FINE, my normal self. But

i had very high liver results during chemo (they checked me for hepatitis too) maybe that was due to tumor die off too?

Goldie, I tried coffee enema's years ago, just couldn't get the nack of it. What I do is this.
Mix 3 tablespoons of sea salt OR 3 tablespoons of Epson salts in a glass of warm water. After you drink it down fast, drink as much water as you can. It will work in 1 to 5 hrs. Be prepared to be near the bathroom. When bowels are ready to move you cannot hold it. You will probably "go" 2 3 or 4 times. BUT, when you're finished almost the entire length of your colon will be clean. Now you're gonna lose electrolytes. Have some gater aide or baby pedi care to drink afterwards. Also, use a probiotic after. After this cleanse of your colon you are going to feel so much better and lots of the dead cancer cells will exit your body.
If the above sounds too much for you, at least take psyllium whole husks 2 or 3 times a day, in order to have more bowel movements per day.
Just remember be gentle on your liver. It trying to help you by working very hard. When I do the cleanse, I drink herbal teas, bone booth and just east brown rice for a couple of days. Also rest as much as possible
Ok....Just got back from radiation treatment and the fatigue is hitting me hard. Gonna try and sleep for a bit.
Sure wish you the best. YOU CAN DO THIS.
Santa...The medical profession recognizes healing crises also. But they call it by a different name, begins with a T and that's all this poor brain of mine remembers. You may well have had one. Healing crisis are excellent for your body BUT they need to be managed.
FRISKY, I"ll check my notes on Molybdnum and get bacl to you.

Ok, I just re read all of your suggestions. Of course I don't have everything and grocery stores are an hour away.
I don't do Gatorade or Powerade, made with high fructose corn syrup, I don't do processed foods but on rare occasions, no fast foods, no pop. I'm a pretty good eater. Fruits and Veggies always fresh, no frozen or even canned. I can my own corn and beans, so that's it for my canned veggies. I'm still working up to regular solid foods. So I need to do some research and order my milk thistle.
I'm excited, scared, anxious and I think there are more emotions, but I can't think of them!

Y, is this the cleanse you are referring to? http://daradietz.org/Liver-Cleanse-Andreas-Moritz.... looks a bit intimidatine and a little scary.
Can't I just do what Snooky suggest with just the salt?

Psillyum is very mellow

just watched a bunch of Md. Berg video on YouTube....he says that the best way to protect the liver is to feed it bitter vegetables like kale and dandelions because they are high in potassium.
We have to eat 7 cups of vegetables a day to get the minimum daily requirement of potassium which keeps the liver healthy.
This is something that we all have to do, considering the damage to our liver from years and years of cancer medications.

Goldie, A full blown "liver Cleanse" is different than what I am referring to. And done for a different purpose.
I am suggesting the salt water cleanse for the purpose of aiding dying cancer cells to quickly exit your body. Dying cells put out toxins. The toxins are making you feel sick. The faster they are eliminated the better off you are.
So, yes, just getting your colon emptied is enough for right now. I have never done a full liver cleanse.
Anything you can do to speed up elimination of toxins is a good thing. Toxins exit our body through, the colon, the bladder, the skin, eyes, nose etc. ( If you weren't on Zeloda, I'd suggest a hot soaking bath with baking soda and Epsom salts so you could sweat out toxins. But you can't do that with your feet and hands. Is that correct)
When you do the cleanse you will lose electrolytes, the Gator aide was suggested for just this one time. You don't want to get dehydrated. Good quality water will probably do just fine. If they are already giving you IV's you have an issue with dehydration already.
Don't get stressed. Stress is not good for you.
If all of this is scary or just so unfamiliar to you, than just do the Psyllium Husks. Normal bowel movements are fine but right now you want to do something that is faster.
Please don't make it more complicated than it is. You can flush your colon without having the other ingredients right now.
I'm not a doctor, I think it's probably best to quit advising you. But, the info we're giving you has been used by alternative Prac. for eons.
Do what you think is best for your body.
HUGS

Frisky since it's difficult to consume that quantity of veggies, I take wheat juice, barley powder, Spinarla, (sp) chlorella and beet juice. Of course, fresh products are better, but I do what I can lol.

Thanks Goldie. WOW I'm so excited for you!

hi folks!
Just a different voice of thought chiming in (and I have no doubt I will annoy some folks!). I AM a licensed medical practitioner of natural medicine. I was taught by doctors of naturopathic medicine. We NEVER recommend the cleanses that folks are discussing on here. What we do recommend is eating a healthy diet of whole, and whenever possible, organic foods. During my 5 years of training at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR, we were never taught to prescribe these cleanses, as they can be harmful.
I do recommend working with a medically licensed practitioner, especially one with a lot of clinical experience in oncology.
Still lurking on this thread and rooting for everyone who is taking the fenben protocol. Looking forward to seeing how it works!
Best of luck everyone!!

Thank you Philly for your thoughts. I believe medicine is still in it's infancy. I mean, come on, chemo puts poison in your system. And cancer cannot be cut out/off. If it could why all the radiation and chemo and then anti hormals for 10yrs afterward breast surgery?
I do know that "coffee enemas' were regularly used by the medical profession and for years were listed in the Myrick Journal. ( do I have that name right?)
Being under the care of a Natural Prac is an excellent idea, if you have the money. As far as I know ins. does not cover it. But studying the practice of generations of cultures of peoples whom had tremendous success in "curing" diseases is surely a good thing.
For instance, the Flu epidemic of 1918. Did you know that a group of Native Americans did not catch the flu? They had their own remedy for it. Also, baking soda was a medicine used at the time. It was actually listed on the box of Arm and Hamer.
Each branch of medicine has their own thoughts on proper treatments. We they could all get together and share info, it would be a better world.
What are your thoughts on colonics done at the proper facility? They seem to be very popular right now.
Edited to add that Epson salts as a way of elimination is listed right on the box/bag of Epson salts.

LoveFromPhily, I have a question and maybe you can answer it as a natural medicine practitioner: if we take probiotic pills, this probiotics are capable to create an intestinal colony or they dead in a few days? Because in the second case we have to take probiotics for the rest of our lives. Do you know anything about it? Thank you!
