We could hope. I do think it will help since both groups are highly agitated about this as far as the latest Loon interjection of letting the states control the issue.

Unfortunately, all is not beauty and peace.  I don't believe I've ever met a person who hasn't been challenged or wounded by something. Difficulties present choices:  we can either waste away from our wounds or use them to grow our souls.  My husband, for example, is a survivor of the Second World War.  As a child, he suffered through six years of bombings, near-escapes, and concentration camps.  Part of his soul work has been the gradual transformation of this deep well of grief and pain.  As he heals himself, he also participates in healing that terrible idea of war in others.  I have always said that no one heals alone--we heal through and for one another.    -Joan Borysenko

Ruth — hysterical. I have been looking at a game Centraliaopoly in our local Walmart store. So, I got a real kick out of seeing your Monopoly board. The Centralia version has the names of many of our businesses here and a lot of the streets, etc. It is temping, but we wouldn't play much I don't think. Who knows, I may do it anyway just for the novelty.

I was surprised when I saw on the Chyron on tv that OJ had kicked the bucket. I won't shed a tear and really have no thoughts even to waste on him. Just feel if anything like it should have happened sooner. I still feel so for the Goldman family — still left with only dreaming about what might have been for the young Ron Goldman who was only being a nice guy and got murdered for his trouble.

If wishes came true this would have been a done deal. He has been granted so many considerations that would not be available to the common man and it is disgusting with what tolerance he has been granted. He should have been in jail last year so he could not even toss his hat in the ring nor be on a ballot.

On another note, no tears for the passing of OJ Simpson. I do hope that his former wife was waiting at the pearly gates to slam them in his face. I will never be convinced that he did not kill her. As far as that glove stunt, if you soak a leather glove in blood (or even water for that matter), it will shrink and thereby not fit.

I saw the OJ headlines of his death. Many refer to his stellar football career and also state he was “found not guilty” in the murder of his ex-wife. It irritates me that the headlines try to put some kind of positive spin on his life. Only when you read the articles does it mention that he went to prison 13 years after the trial for armed robbery. He had so much talent but unfortunately he was a very bad person. Since I was a stay at home mom at the time, I watched a lot of the trial saga on tv. There was a lot of bungling of the case by the police, the detectives and the prosecuting attorneys and that’s a shame. What sealed the deal for me was that there was a bloody shoe print found at the crime scene which matched to a size 12 Bruno Magli loafer. OJ said he’d never wear those “ugly ass shoes”. But a photo of him at accepting an award at an earlier date before the murders showed him wearing that brand of shoe. They are pricey so only someone with money would not care about wearing them while committing murder. The shoe evidence may have not come out until the civil trial, but if I were on a criminal trial jury, that evidence is what would have made me vote guilty.

I am furious that Mike Johnson is going to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump about a bill to keep non-citizens from voting! We have ONE President and that is Biden. I hate that GOP is allowing Trump to "govern" from the sidelines! No deal on Ukraine! WTF!

I am fearful of what our world will be like next year. I feel helpless. Right now there is a lull in my activism work, but I plan to put a lot of effort into getting Biden re-elected as well as taking back the House!

Betrayal, what is your opinion on Dave McCormick? I have to say, his commercials are very good. They don't say anything, but give the impression of someone who is rock solid. He also is staying away from Trump, not because he doesn't side with him, but he needs to take votes away from Bob Casey. I won't vote for any Republican again until Trump and his political partners are gone from the mainstream, so likely never again in my lifetime! We need to keep Casey! We can NOT lose the Senate!

My opinion of Dave McCormick is that he has no platform that he is willing to air. If you analyze his commercials all he talks about is himself and slams the government, but again what does he plan to change? So empty words if you really listen and he fails to reveal he is GOP. That alone means he's another form of Oz, rich and unwilling to consider what the average man needs. He needs to lose big time whereas Casey has always revealed what he is doing for the average man and is trying to explain that much of today's inflation is due to corporate greed.

Betrayal, exactly how I feel, but my concern is that PA Republicans will feel "good" about him. He absolutely says NOTHING!

As for OJ, I watched the trial every day, so much so that I went through withdrawal when it was over. 100% OJ was at the scene of the murders, but I was still not convinced he murdered them. I wanted more information on his older son, the chef. He had motive, was comfortable and skilled with knives, and OJ could have covered up for his son. Not a strong case, OJ likely did murder them, but it wasn't pursued to the extent that made me believe 100% certain the son was not the murderer. There were still questions I had. But, now OJ is with "them" and justice is served. I do feel so sorry for Ron's family, being murdered because he returned her sunglasses to her. Life truly isn't fair!

I'm praying jury selection does start on Monday and nothing delays the trial until after the election. How the hell do we allow people who are indicted, especially 91 counts, to run for President? I agree with Colorado, and the other states who were banning him from their ballots! The SCOTUS got it wrong deliberately because they were stacked for the GOP! Worse yet, Trump is still pulling the strings and controlling the HR!

I agree. If someone is not willing to tell you how they will make things better — no matter which side (right or left) then I don't trust them. They are the type most often who will take everything away from you but fool you on the way with their smooth patter and smiles.

Yes. OJ. I was totally convinced right away that he did it. Mainly due to the fact that he was an abuser and Nicole had to call the police a number of times and basically nothing was ever really handled. I think the fact that she had the audacity to 'leave' him really got under his skin. He seemed to have had a lot of the Loon's non-attributes long before they were actually recognized in Trump.

Divine, your ideas and feelings were quite through. Down to the shoes and glove. OJ's life after the trial was really never the same and it shouldn't have been. He hired/paid lawyers far better than the Loon's and they were able to put on quite the show that apparently was successful enough for the jury to 'have' reasonable doubt. That makes for a huge range of things. Like guilt that goes un-punished which is what happened. That he finally a few years later did get some 'just desserts' didn't mean a lot since it was for something else entirely. It did prove though he had a part of himself that was evil and capable of doing what it took to make another human being submit — even if it meant to maim or kill someone. If he had it in him a few yrs. later, he had it earlier for Nicole and unfortunately Ron Goldman.

I do think the trial will get under way on Monday. I've read several times that once proceedings get close which is when the most challenges may come, is when the judge just basically pretty much says no to what is frivolous filings meant to try and stop everything. It is expected to a degree but not tolerated. For the Loon his lawyers will try anything, but they are only making the Loon happy. They know it is fruitless. In fact, they are now asking for the jury at the correct time to be given jury instruction to reclassify the charges as misdemeanors rather than felonies. A dumb move on their part. He was indicted on felonies by a grand jury and that can't change. For the Loon though you may end up degrading yourself and mocking your attorney credentials. He is just ruining more people who may (it has happed to many others) have a mediocre career after they walk away from the Loon. Forever known as the bunch that let him go to jail.

Would be wonderful if his constituents would choose to let him go as the worthless rock he is, was and will continue to be.
