No. I am nit sure that test was available back then but I never would have known because he told me that he wouldn't see me if I didn't stay b on the .ed and thatbis where things ended. This time around I was switched to Fulvestrant to deal with the side effects.

@brutersmom: It sounds like you already have over 2.5 years of AI under your belt. It’s so disheartening to hear about recurrence after 8 years. This disease is just so unpredictable. I agree—it seems like many doctors know how harsh these meds are but feel compelled to stick to the guidelines. They truly are brutal! I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better with your new set of meds—that’s a silver lining in this tough journey.

dimples90: I completely forgot to ask about the BCI test, though I doubt they’d be able to run it on a 3mm cancer tissue sample. My type is ILC, which is slow-growing and might show as "safe" on the test, but we know ILC has a tendency for much later recurrences compared to IDC. Plus, risk percentages don’t seem to align with my experience—after all, I was in the less-than-2% risk category when I first got BC. It really feels like a waiting game now.
