Abemaciclib Verzenio for Stage IV
Luckylegs and friends on Abemaciclib - I am bumping the Verzenio discussion in the hopes that more people have started abemaciclib. We need to get a community going. I have not started abemaciclib but it is on my short list. Like many I am very interested in how people do on this treatment do, both as a monotherapy and in…

Just diagnosed with ILC mets
Hi, all I had ILC back in 2008. Had radical mastectomy on the right breast and prophylactic on the left. Chemo AC→T, radiation and 7 years of Arimidex. 16 years later I am back in the game. Still in discovery phase. Had FDG Pet Scan that shows liver uptake, had endoscopy that shows little spot in the stomach consistent…

Finishing verzenio
I have just finished two years of abemaciclib, following on from surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. I was lucky that just as I finished radiotherapy, Verzinio was approved in the UK for stage 3 BC patients with high risk of recurrence. Given the pretty awful side effects as well as the timing, it means that there aren't many…

CDK4/6 inhibitors
If you have taken Ibrance or Kisqali or another CDK 4/6 inhibitor, I would appreciate hearing about your experience. I recently had to stop Verzenio because of unmanageable side effects. Oncologist wants me to consider an alternative in that drug class.

Verzenio for early stage cancer
Hi everyone. Has anyone taken Verzenio for stage 1 cancer and if so when did you start it? I have been on letrozole for 7 months now and my oncologist just today asked if I wanted to start Verzenio too due to my high Ki67 and 1 positive micromet in my sentinel node. I thought you had to start Verzenio at the same time as…

Verzenio stage 2 or3
Has anyone taking Verzenio that is stage 2 or 3 done a dose reduction? Does anyone know if a dose reduction affects the effectiveness of it when taking as a preventative when you are stage 2 or 3? I talked to my physician and pharmacist about a possible dose reduction due to issues with D. The D is not terrible for me, but…

Stage III and Verzenio
I may need to venture into the mets forum for SE coping strategies, but I’m wondering if there’s anyone else who’s been put on Verzenio (vs Ibrance or Kisquali) to prevent recurrence? My MSK oncs and Yale onc (I switched to Yale this past summer) all agreed that I should be put on a CDK 4/6 inhibitor. We waited until this…

Psychological reactions to aromatase inhibitors.
I'm sure this has been discussed on other pages but I want to start a thread specifically for this discussion. For the second time, I have had a severe neurological response to Aromatase inhibitors. The first time I was told there is nothing that would help so I quit taking the meds That was 6.5 years ago. I recently had a…

Not responding to Verzenio after some months: anyone switch to Kisquali? Help please
Hi all My tumor markers dropped for the first few months on Verzenio/Fulvestrant, and now are climbing again. Scans didn't show progress last month but I'm terrified. Did anyone have better response switching to Kisquali and if so, what was it and how were the side effects compared to Verzenio? Verzenio and I are getting…

When you don't fit the studies and your doctors disagree
Hi all. I'm recently diagnosed (March) with regional recurrence in right axillary nodes, 17 years after double mastectomy/chemo/tamoxifen for IDC right side (with negative sentinel node biopsy). Surgery in April removed 4 positive nodes and 4 negative nodes. Cancer is again ER+, PR+, HER2 negative (but this time HER2 low).…

Anyone been taking Verzenio?
Hi, I found out today that I will start on an AI drug along with Verzenio after I finish my radiation in about 6 weeks. I am reading about Verzenio and it is pretty daunting reading about all the possible side effects. Anyone taking it now that could share their experience? Also, how did you get it paid for since it is…

Abemaciclib Verzenio for All Stages
I've noticed there is a Verzenio discussion in the Stage IV only section, and another in the Stage III forum. I'm starting this thread because I think there could be a benefit from sharing between all the stages - especially when, and if, Verzenio becomes a more common standard of treatment. I started Verzenio 14 months…

Verzenio and hair loss.
I’m going to be starting verzenio in a few days and I read that 30% of people who take this medication experience hair loss. I asked the pharmacist about this and he made it sound like I could go completely bald again like I was from chemo. It sounded like he was reading from a script and I’m not sure if he really knew…

Dizziness on verzenio or fulvestrant
Hi all, anyone get dizzy or faint while on either? I got up to pee last night and got super dizzy heading back to bed. Found myself on the floor of the bathroom after fainting 😲I’ve never passed out in my life so it was pretty scary. I was only out for a second or two, the dizziness went away quickly and I didn’t hurt…

How long on a CDK 4/6 inhibitor (Ibrance/verzenio/Kisqali)?
I’m sure this info is buried deep in the various stage iv threads, but I’m hoping people will post their experiences and success stories here. I think the median from the initial studies was about 2 years, but obviously there is more real world experience as time passes. Thank you!

New here, found out 4 days ago MBC
Hi all, I've written long posts on other discussion threads, but I'll keep it short here. I feel like I'll get more responses at this board till I know more about my dx and what other threads I need to check. I was dx 4 days ago with lung/abdomen and probably ureter mets. PET scan revealed. I'm not ready to hear stats…

Experience with Verzenio???
Hello, I am new here, I was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. all at once, no previous diagnosis, it was missed in previous mammograms. IN some ways i am so lucky because i didn't have to go through the mastectomy (it would have limited my ability to do my job for months, i would have lost my job for sure) or…
