Chemosabi/Nikki you always bring fun to the site. Behind the clowning I feel is a very stressed out individual - no time for yourself. Am I right. I dont have your address......
Yes the amount of Christmas Cards was a way to count up all of my friends. I am truly blessed.
My SOI/IOS is that the grandparents of my children want to come to our place for Christmas. My eldest daughter is mad at grandma for almost a year... (last Christmas big blow up). The grandparents do not want to be split up. If this is not resolved, I fear the family will split off and we lose the bond. How to get my daughter to forgive.......!

Checking in...Love the shooting cat.
No biggies for me. An SOI - sore muscles today. We spent yesterday at my mom's taking care of her 80th bday present - we painted her condo - ceiling and walls - and installed a new light in her dining room. She is an 18 year BC survivor and, for all her quirks, is an inspiration to us all.
Two days of work, then I'm off through the Thanksgiving weekend.
Dream - tell daughter she can forgive, but she doesn't have to forget. My grandma did some nasty things to my younger sister (she never thought my parents should have had #4, but dearly loved #5). We laugh today about Grandma, but we don't forget how words and actions can hurt and live accordingly.

It is a GOOD thing that you have SO MANY friends! I also have alot of cards to send this year, and with the price of stamps, I may have to start cutting back!!

ecards are what I do more than sending in the mail. A few of my friends and relatives do not have email, so I sent maybe a dozen last year. Had not gotten that far with planning this year. Something to do as I get ready for surgery. I sort of have an excuse as I will not be allowed to drive for a week after surgery.

Ahhh Nik ~ too funny, thanks for starting my day off with that laugh!
Just marking my spot and sending out a big that sucks to all....

Renee~ you are cracking me up! Sorry your mom had to leave, bet she hated it, too. You'll just have to 'mother' yourself with some extra indulgences.
Pam~ what a great gift for your mom's 80th.! I could use a marathon painting session around here, too. Only two work days this week - whoo-hoo!
Nancy~ it's true, surgery can throw a real wrench into holiday-season planning. You just concentrate on healing this year.
Wouldn't you know it, I've got a Candida infection making my lips and oral mucosa feel scalded and raw. It's constant, it sucks. It's the steroid causing my Sjogren's to flare up - and I won't be able to get rid of the damned steroid for weeks. And right before the EATING BEGINS!
I feel a cranky-pants episode coming on!

Lisa you have a right to your cranky pants episode. I was fortunate that I only had a couple of sores which I treated with hydrogen peroxide on a q tip for quick healing.

Geez Lisa, I heard of Sponge Bob Square Pants, but what is the saying for Cranky Pants. Anyone have any clue of what Cranky Pants name is? Also we know sponge bob lives in a pinapple under the sea so where does cranky pants live?

BIG THAT SUX TO EVERYONE IN NEED! Sorry, just having problems with a slow puter and not wanting to fight it tonight to answer all the IOS's! Just been a crappy day!
Went to leave for work today and my car wouldn't start. Try to get in to manually start it and it's frozen shut with 5 inches of heavy wet snow. NOT ice, so why won't it unlock? UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Came in and everyone I know had left for work already, so I was stuck waiting till someone GOT to work to answer their phone and have them come and get me! UGH! Then it hit me why it won't start! Saturday night got home from work after midnight and had some food left over I brought home, so I had turned on the overhead in the car and forgot to turn it off! UGH! WHAt an idiot! I never use that light! Well, I did I'm positive and now I've a dead car battery! We have at least 5 on the ground now with another 1-3 tonight and another 1-3 due tomorrow for snow! ANOTHER UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just an all around p*ssy mood now! I hate being married and single at the same time! Boohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I have some great cheese and crackers and NO Wine (whine)

Does anybody have a clue what happened to this page of the thread? It's waaaaaay off the right side of my 'puter screen. It's makin' me dizzy ... (my head is spinning, and it's you ...) oh, never mind.
IOS: Had my first colonoscopy last Thursday.
SOI: They didn't find anything that needed a biopsy, so I'm CLEAN--in addition to having had a really nice nap that felt like it lasted about a millisecond.

Hi Otter,
I've been admiring you for the last few months. (I like Rock too) You seem very knowledgeable and upbeat. Congrats on your colonoscopy. That's one I really don't want to do.
What is SOI and IOS? Is that specific to this tread or is it just one I haven't heard yet?

My screen is off also. It's irritating. Shall we bitch, moan and groan about it?

Yes'maam! Yet another one! I'm so sick of being a patient, I am sick from it all, emotionally, you know? Just tired all around. I do NOT know how the ladies with stage IV make through this crap! I give them so much credit to put up with all.
The snow? UGH! My bane this week. Between my car battery, and the drive that dh is not home to plow and then dd and her beau heading to my mom's tomorrow 2 hours north, my heartrate is searing! Just pray for safe travels for everyone this weekend!

My screen is off, too. I'm glad to know it's not just me. This is the only thread that is doing it.
I'm relatively new to the thread, but since I had the same questions I was told IOS is "Issues of Suckage" and SOI is the opposite and, yes, it does apply only to this thread, I believe.

Yes, something is funky...when the page moves to 181, it should straighten out. Just keep posting!

who broke the board???
Otter - great news from the colonoscopy
Renee - IOS is Issues of Suckage (or Suckiness?) SOI is the opposite - a not-so-sucky thing. And as a BC person, your experience with the colonoscopy is only a matter of time. Other women get to wait til they're 50, but not us, oh, no. We get them early!
I'm not sure where Cranky Pants lives, but she does have a friend named Pity Party. She travels everywhere and quite efficiently, too. She often appears when days are long, husbands and children are difficult, and the IOS's keep coming. You can make her go away with copious doses of red wine, good cheese, and chocolate.
And those TV US...with the dildo cam? The things I never heard of before BC. I think I get them yearly with tamoxifen. Lucky, lucky, lucky.

Let's just say I'm doing this to get to page 181.
Awkward but funny moment: There was a lot of hair in my brush this morning and my scalp is beginning to hurt. I sprayed my hair with hair spray so that if it fell out it would at least stick together and not hang on me like a bunch of spider webs. My hair is down to my bra strap. I ran into an old friend that had obviously heard I had breast cancer. She was outwardly, tongue tied and tearing up when she saw me. (I hate that.) When we hugged her bracelet got caught in my hair and she backed up from me with a tassel hanging of her wrist. She quickly pulled it off her bracelet and out of nervousness tried to put it back. I felt so bad for her but I couldn't stop laughing. I think I scarred her for life.

OMGOSH@ I woke up both the kitties, laughing my butt off! I'm so sorry for you friend, and sorry you are going this disgusting d*mned disease, but yes, It was hysterical! To have been a fly on the wall when she noticed your hair attached to her bracelet! OmY! I'm in tears! What stories we've all made of going through this crap! Thank you so much for sharing that. I'm sure she'll have nightmares....but the laugh was worth it, wasn't it? Many {{hugs}} Renee...you deserve it!
BTW....did she ever see the humor in it?

I'll do my part in trying to get us off the expando-page.
My crankypants episode did not last too long. The CHEESECAKE helped.
