Thanks, Meece! I see we are toasting with our "clear liquid diet." See you aboard the spaceship tomorrow for the procedure!0
-
Lynniea - Welcome to our group - Thoughts and prayers are with you - wishing for B9 results.0

I would have toasted with red wine, but wouldn't want to throw the doctors off any, Elimar. My kitchen table has all my options lined up for the day...boring!!!0
-
Carol so sorry you are spinning right now. I think I would be too. Hope you find some answers very soon.
Lynniea-glad you found us. This is a great place for support. don't ever feel you have to hold back here. Let it out.

Welcome, Lynniea. (((MEECE)))))
Eli, even though it is 9:30 here, that beer sure looks good. I love beer. And before my colonoscopy, I had to do a clear liquid diet for 24 hours. DH was playing at the beach bar so I asked the nurse if beer was clear liquid. She said yes so I was good to go.

My diet sheet says no alcoholic beverages, so I'm only having that virtual beer. I'm already facing hardship not being able to put milk in my morning tea!
Meece, I put my items on the kitchen counter. Pretty meager! What flavor of Jello are YOU having? I have one called "melon fusion" (not in the forbidden color of red; it's green.)

I have lime and lemon, but I found a box of magic jello in my pantry that is clear and flavored like cherry. Does jello expire? I was wondering if peach jello is allowed.
I have a little trick. If you make the jello with half of the recommended boiling water until the gelatin dissolves, then add the remaining amount of liquid (the boiling and cold amounts) as ice, then whip it in the blender, at least it gives a variation to the jello texture. My kids called it fuzzy jello.

Elimar--I had to laugh at the green jello! I will never forget my first colonoscopy and seeing a little bit of green liquid floating in my colon. In my groggy state I asked "is that green jello?". The doc and nurse just chuckled and said "Yes, we see that all the time".
Is that what you and Meece are having done tomorrow (I can't remember who is having what done! sorry!)?

TMarina, Yes, in a remarkable display of sisterhood & solidarity, we are both getting our first colonoscopies on the same day. Not at the same place, unless we do get transported up to those little gray specialists. It has been a little easier taking that first step along with someone, plus the tips from ladies on this thread helped too We will get to compare notes tomorrow, or Fri. (I might be too busy eating all Thurs. afternoon!)

Wouldn't it be funny if my tech saw something ORANGE in there?0
-
Here is my fuzzy jello for today. Lemon on the bottom, and my magic strawberry on the top. I thought it might taste like strawberry lemonade.0

That is awesome that you 2 are going through that together! As a colon cancer survivor I am always VERY HAPPY to hear that people are getting their bums checked out! Good luck to you both--hope the prep isn't too horrible for you! I'll be waiting to hear the "all clear" results!!

It had a little packet of stars and moons to stir in and float, but I skipped that.

I just watched a little thing on TV where a 39 yr old woman said she was diagnosed with BC but declined the BX because she didn't want anything invasive. Then she got rid of the cancer within a year by de-toxing. If only it were that easy.

I have never seen magical jello will have to look for that. Is it new?
0 -
No...I am not sure how long it was in my pantry. I can't even find it on the jell-o website. I guess I'll find out if it does expire!0
-
hmmmm-makes one wonder what expired jello would do or not do, or taste or not taste like. My mom is notorius in the family for not throwing out expired dry goods-I think she has some spices from the 50s still!

LOL Eph, sounds so much like my mom.
