Love aLL the photos! It's back to freezing weather here. We had a week of spring then back to winter. We didn't have snow but several surrounding counties did and school was closed there. At one point this morning the interstate was closes due to black ice and many wrecks. We (my girl and I) delivered Meals on Wheels today and yesterday. Have been getting on the treadmill every chance I get!

Have a great time Ruth! How exciting to meet in real life! ♡

P.S. Ruth you and all the girls in the thread are like SUNSHINE!

Runnermum and I had a great visit before tonight's game. I think she was probably still wearing that smile when she left the arena, because her team beat mine in overtime! We found out that her god-daughter plays softball for the college in my town. DH is a HUGE fan of that team, so it will be fun to get together this spring and cheer for the same side!

I got really depressed yesterday when I got a fat percent measurement at my health club. I was expecting a decrease because the measurement last year was after I had just restarted regular exercise. Well my body weight has only gone up half a kg, but my fat % jumped from 27.4 to 30%. Which means I’ve not only gained fat, I’ve apparently lost muscle mass. My son reminded me that the letrozole increases fat and causes weight gain (he’s studying pharmacology and has asked about all my meds). And I guess I should be happy that my weight hasn’t gone up that much (yet), and that my endurance has definitely improved (no more getting out of breath skiing or brisk walking). But still...

So today I told myself suck it up, buttercup. I’m the only one who can do something about it — and just finished a 50 minute sweaty workout at home using hand weights (2kg ha ha) and resistance bands and exercise ball etc. Lets see whether I can keep this up.

Wishing everybody here a fun weekend :)

    Great pic Ruth and runnermom!

Tessu, like your attitude - keep up the good work.

Somehow through the magic of the internet my fitbit tells my weight watcher app how active I've been - not sure what to do with all those activity points, but I think somehow you can get more weekly food points based on your active points, or something like that. Even more reason to keep moving!

Off to the movies this afternoon with a friend to see Game Night, then tonight is some live Celtic music with DH and friends. Have a great weekend everyone.

I just did a yoga DVD and plan to go to Dance Attack tonight.

No badger, that is NOT a Green Bay Packers shirt. 'Packers' is Runnermum's high school's team name. (As a Minnesota Vikings fan, I had to clarify that immediately Loopy.)

Walked 1.5 mi yesterday in spite of blustery cold weather. Brr!

Stayed indoors today and did my yoga app. Felt great to stretch and "get my zen on".

    Happy weekend, everyone.

    Hello everyone!

So fun to meet Ruth and her husband last night. We have a couple connections in real life and it was fun to connect! It was a great game! Very exciting! And we were lucky to win! It will be fun to cheer for same team this spring!

Badger that is our HS team name. But we are one of the few non-Viking fans in ND...we cheer for the GB Packers as well!

Did an hour of yoga strength and weights this morning. Off to another BB game this evening now!

Ruth and runnermum - great picture of the two of you. It is always fun to connect real time. I've been lucky over the years to meet several friends from fb.

Hope everyone in the NE and elsewhere getting snow, is safe and out of harms way. Denver is so very dry - that it is high risk for wild fires.

Only 2 weeks till spring break!! Have a good week-end.

Tessu, I'm cursing my new body fat scale. Accurate or not, it is motivating me. Maybe I was fooling myself because my weight is within a normal BMI. I really didn't like to see that fat% number. I lost 2.2 pounds this week and 1.1% body fat. Last weekend I managed to maintain weight despite eating out Saturday and Sunday, and I did that by eating very light breakfast and then the restaurant meal late afternoon and nothing after that (similar to the study you posted, Heidi). Maintaining on weekends will be key for me. During the week I'm good.

Oh wait, we are supposed to talk about exercise. LOL. As far as exercise I've been doing more weights this week and just a little walking to not kick my appetite up. Worked pretty well and did a little bit every day except Wednesday. As of tonight, I have 173 minutes for the week on my Argus app, which is pretty good for a winter workweek for me.

TTab, I bet the snow is making NY beautiful. Enjoy your time there. Tessu, how lovely Vienna is. Runnermum and Ruth, so glad you got to meet up. You both look great.

Bragging time...... I just got a letter from Cascade Bicycle Club that I am part of their Hall of Fame!!! This is the first sports-related accolade I have ever received in my entire life!!!  5 completed is the requirement for this elite group. I have completed 11 in a row, going for 12 this year.

    I am over the moon!

I did a 5k run plus other foot-related activities for a total of 5 miles. Yesterday evening, it took "the voices", but I did 3.5 miles total, as opposed to bagging it. Skiing tomorrow. - Claire

TrmTab: What a fun time you are having!

Hi Everybody! Just a quick note (I'm watching the UNC vs Duke game - Go Heels!). I have been walking/running 5 of the last 6 days. Still have some knee pain but they are getting better. I won't be painting again anytime soon!

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I'm seriously slacking on my activity, and it's only going to get worse as I start going back to work and have less time available. I'm sure The Voices will be an inspiration.

Hi everyone. I’ve been offline since the end of January and just spent some time scrolling and catching up.

Badger- I hope your mom is doing better. I can totally relate. My MIL had 8 small strokes about a month ago and we have been dealing with healthcare and recovery issues ever since. It is a full time job. Staying on top of her medical care, fighting with the system to get her into the rehab facilities that she needs and worrying about her is both frustrating and exhausting. Working full time and then going daily to see her (an hour away) has fully taken over our lives. Really cutting into my Zumba/exercisetime too) The system is so broken for our seniors. We are really hoping that she can bounce back and resume living where she has been in a senior community but may have to find her a place in an AL.

Karen- I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. Sending you a cyber hug.

Ruth- thanks for the info on everytown.org. I will definitely check it out. These school shootings break my heart. I never thought it could happen to us but after Newtown I look at our lockdown drills with open eyes. Keeping preschool children silent while hiding in a bathroom is quite a challenge. I give the Florida students so much credit for their strength and commitment to seeing things change.

Falconer- we are just starting to learn about Restorative Justice in my school. I think it looks promising.

Keep up the good work everyone. I will try not to fall off the grid again.

    Great to see you, Ginger!

I just did the FIRM 500 Calorie Workout DVD. It combines cardio and weights and is really hard (which is why I hardly ever do it Loopy). Off to do errands.....

    Congratulations, Claire - you hall-of-famer!

Meow you went to Barbados and not one picture so far??? Come on, girl, help me out here.

Sunny but cold here. I did my weights this morning and will be walking this afternoon. DH was getting very thirsty lately, so he took his fasting blood glucose with my home device, and it is diabetes high. He has made a Dr. appt but he is on the program now- low carb, some fasting, and exercise. I will now have a more reliable partner in this.

    awesome, Claire!

My Fitbit fell off this morning when I was getting dressed. Can’t get that side of the band to go on...I have several bands and none work. I’ve only had it since last May. I’m sure Fitbit won’t do anything, so I guess I’ll just keep it in my pocket.

I turned my bedroom clock back then when the news said forward, I realized I did it wrong. I wish the US would pick one (standard or daylight savings) and stick with it. I don’t like the time change and long it takes to get used to it.

Lovely oceanview, thanks, meow and TH ;)  TH, sorry to hear about DHs high blood glucose. I thought of you the other day when I saw a SUP on the lake while on the dreadmill at the gym. Did you get to try it? I haven't yet.

Wow, way to go Claire Seattle Hall of Famer!!

Ran a personal best distance-wise at 5.5K the other day, picked up a new bike yesterday and putting more miles on it today.

    Congrats Claire!

Heidihill, nice job on the PR

Mommyof2, glad your PT is helping.

Hi Ginger, nice to hear your school is looking into Restorative Justices There's a conference at Lehman College in NYC on May 4. If you're interested in more info PM me.

Great yoga class for me yesterday, but still trying to figure out left shoulder issues. Can only hold side plank for a minute on that side. Having an EMG on Tuesday to look at nerves.
