Monday was long pose yin, yesterday power flow at lunchtime...today snowing, but supposed to walk to lent service after school tonight. While it has been snowing, it is only sticking to the grass. Actual temps remain mid-30's...will be careful for the black ice. TT

Vargadoll, I am sorry to hear about the confusion from your MO. But maybe coming off of Tam would be a good thing and switching to anAI . Leg cramps are common on Tam. My MO asked if I was experiencing them when I saw him in Feb. I wasn't but had my first blast on Monday night. Woke me and my husband up at 2:30 because I was yelling! I'm still sore two days later. Ugh.0

Hello everyone, such a long time since I've been here - life just got in the way, I have my friend here from England so by the time I come home from work, run to the gym, cook dinner and eat it's time for an hour or so visit then bed and it starts over again the next day. I had a period of blah no exercise but I'm back on the wagon and just fitting it in that takes time and persistence.
Badger glad your Mom is back home. Ruth I believe that is Dodger Blue I see behind you along with the sunny sky, Wonderland I though of you every time I put one of those darned cookies in my mouth, and in the end I started running into the grocery store avoiding the exit those sweet angelic faced girls were standing at because I just couldn't say no to those cuties!!! LB saw you went to a Q, in London, I am super excited for our big one in June, I'm all booked but making the class choices was so hard this time and I did two filmings on sunday - Combat for a girl who I think is going to be terrific and will pass for sure and Barre as a favor for a girl on the presenter team they are putting together.
Monday night I went back to my dance class after a month away and then last night did Sprint.

Thanks Falconer! I haven't had any leg cramps and I have been on the Tamoxifen for a year now. I hate change! I know that this change is the best choice for me but having to adjust to a new medication isn't what I had planned! I thought I would be on the Tamoxifen for longer than a year. I mean seriously! So many changes in a year...the elastic is broke in my big girl panties from pulling them up so much this past year! I ready to go commando!

Did a 20 minute workout tonight

Walked at one of my favorite Arizona places, a Riparian Preserve.

Vargadoll, people I know who switched from Tamoxifen to an AI have found it easier on them. Hopefully you will have the same experience.
There were many Dodger fans where we were sitting. We were neutral bystanders.....just there for some fun in the sun!

Vargadoll, I've been on them all - LOL - tamoxifen, then anastrazole, then letrozole, now exemestane. The good news is if you hate it, you just try another, or go back to tamoxifen.
Since my last report, I did a 50 minute walk Sunday because it was 60 degrees and sunny. It sure brought out the masses to the forest preserve. Day before when it was 40 I only saw about 7 people. Its chilly again but sunny so I'm not complaining too much. Today I did a brisk 25 minute walk plus my 8 fights of stairs.
Nice Arizona path, Ruth.

Ruth, you're still the best. It looks so lovely there, and with you in the photo even better! Still have another 12 years until I can be you!
Went to pain management doctor this afternoon (inconclusive) and then yoga tonight. Worked on shoulders and neck, as there were two out of five of us in class who asked for it. My teacher is really a good body worker, so she opened up some of the tightness in my scapula. The doctor scheduled trigger point shots for my trapezius muscles. So... who do you think gets paid more, my yoga teacher who spent 75 minutes working with us, or the pain management Dr who touched my arm and shoulder for about 3.5 seconds?? He's a nice guy, but I am not surewhat he is actually doing. Ugh.

pushed myself to Pilates — and it was Back Pilates, just what I needed

Looks like with my PT sessions coming to an end next week, I’ll be able devote more time to working out. Maybe if the weather is finally going to be decent around here, I will start taking walks in the neighborhood.

Vargadoll your instructor sounds like a very caring person, really worth her weight in gold. Mommy hope your snow melts enough soon for you to be able to get out and about. Ruth I know you're in your "happy place" and it shows.
Last night drove down to San Diego for a Body Jam class - a few of the Les Mills Master Trainers are down there for a convention and they are doing classes morning and evening at different clubs, and then I was pulled up front to dance with them (they tried to make me get up on the stage but I said hell there's no way I can climb up there so they came down to the floor)

Cheryl, way to go! You are my hero!
Falconer, I think I missed the discussion of your pain, but have you tried a foam roller? When I had shoulder pain, my massage therapist recommended one, and it fixed it.
Did a 26 minute walk at lunch. Just now I did 15 squats, 10 squat jumps, and 7 (supposed to do 10) bent knee push-ups from week one of this program. Who knew I can't do 10 push-ups yet.

Thanks for all the positive words ladies! I have always rolled with the punches but dang...I feel I'm getting beat up! I know the LE has been my biggest challenge and required every spare minute of my time. (What was left after my girl, 6 grandchildren and needed family) I just need to take care of me for a little while. Delivered Meals on Wheels today and yesterday. The weather is freezing again. To windy to be outside to long. I did 4 miles on the treadmill last night and plan on doing the same tonight!

Cheryl, you rock!
Varga, way to go!
Mommyof2, good to see you back.
TwoHobbies, thanks for the suggestion. I had a foam roller, but I think my DS took it to college with her. Last night's yoga class did seem to improve things. Or maybe it's that the weather broke. It feels worse when snow is forecast. Good job on the workouts today!

Thanks Falconer.
Cheryl, the snow is all gone here.

falconer, foam roller is a great idea. Have you looked into dry needling? PT will do it. It's like trigger point injections without the injection. Research is showing it's the mechanical action of the injection, not the injected medication that can soften trigger points. Less expensive b/c no meds to pay for. Did you look into cold/low lever laser?

Ruth!! I love it!! I can feel that sun, taste the beer and hear the crack of the bat! Love basebal season and spring training! Although it should be Cubs blue instead of Dodger blue!! 😆 Hope you are having a blast and hope you are not coming home anytime soon! I received a weather alert this afternoon...we r in a winter storm warning starting tomorrow to Sat. Expecting 5-8" of snow!! Ugh!!
Cheryl...that pic is AWESOME!
Busy week...just got done running 4 miles while my son was at his training and now waiting for him to get done so decided to catch up!
My fat fingers on my phone key pad r preventing me from doing too many shoutouts....lots of typos!! So Hi to all and great job on all the exercise ladies!

Falconer I am not completely sure where you are experiencing pain but do 2nd the dry needling suggestion! My chiro does it and it works. She did it on my hamstring last winter. I had injured it during my fall half marathon and while it had gotten better it wouldnt completely heal. A few sessions amd I was good! I believe in all of those types of treatments...dry needling, cupping, acupuncture & graston which is a myofasicial release. In fact several years ago I had a bad IT band which prevented me from running. Did a couple months of PT and nothing, in fact the stupid PT told me it was time to "retire" from running. I went to chiro and started graston on it and within a few weeks i was running without pain. That was 7-8 yrs ago!!!! my chiro is going to start graston on my feet for that darn PF soreness I am having.

runnermom, if I was your PT I would not have told you to retire! Egads, I am embarrassed to share my profession with some one like that.
Aerobic cleaning for me. We have been just making do and not sorting and pitching stuff since I was diagnosed. Guy is coming to assess the house tomorrow. Can't get rid of that much stuff in a week. At least it got DH yo clear out some stuff!
I'll hit the gym tomorrow and all weekend.

Cheryl: That picture!!! I Love it!!!
Falconer: Sorry about the pain you're having. Your yoga instructor sounds fabulous.
Ruth: Soak up all the Vitamin D you can. Looks like you're having a great time.
2FUN: Good luck tomorrow with the assessor guy.
Runner: I have never heard of the graston technique so I had to look it up. Let us know if it helps your feet.
Varga: I was on Tamox for 2 years and then switched to Arim. For me, I was glad to get off Tamox. bc I had a lot of side efforts. One of them being muscle cramps (Charlie Horse) that woke me up in the middle of the night. Good luck with the AI you are prescribed.
Walked/jogged early this afternoon.

I do agree: you rock Cheryl!!!
Ruth, I LOVE spring training also...Go Giants! :-) Glad you are getting some sun....
We are getting lots of much needed rain here in the great Central Valley. I had some friends in town yesterday and took them on a tour of a few local sights. However, it turned into more walking than I thought it would be: walked a half mile. Not so bad for five weeks post total knee replacement...

Officially on spring break since I don't work Fridays!! Lots to do to get ready for Passover...need to clean my fridge, cook top, ovens an cabinets...shopping to do. Miriam arrives on Tuesday evening...can't wait to hug her....my other daughter Leah and son-in-law arrive on Thursday, so I will have a full house. Need to ramp up my walking during spring break..

Cheryl, love that picture!
I think we are all totally awesome!
We spent the day in Tuscon and I took so many pictures that my phone is about to die (are you suprised?). I will post a few after I charge up.

My favorite cousin winters in Tuscon. He and his friend were our awesome tour guides. Not all who wander are lost.....

We went to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, which is a 98 acre zoo, aquarium, botanical garden, and natural history museum. So cool! This is what the Desert Loop Trail looks like:

I love old missions. This is Mission San Xavier del Bac. Opened in 1797, it is still an active congregation.

The interior is absolutely gorgeous.
