Just gorgeous, Wonderland! Love the matching shirt and wildflowers, HMS.

Lilac, it was just hanging there, lol, in one of the Gallery exhibits.

Bed rest day yesterday with fever breaking this morning. Caught an Argentine winter bug from the tango workshop to start my summer.

I got the call yesterday with my biopsy results. When I saw it was the doctors office my stomach dropped...then when. I answered and my doctor's nurse was on the phone...I squealed! My doctor would have called me herself if it was bad news! Everythimg looks fine now worries! Thank you to any and everyone who might have said a prayer!

That was the only good thing about yesterday. My daddy had eye surgery on Monday. His doctor was supposed to call in prescriptions that he needed to take with him to the doctor's office yesterday. Two trips to the pharmacy prescription was still not there. Then the doctor called and wanted to see Daddy early. Mind you I have not showered have on Capri yoga pants and oversized t-shirt and a ponytail! I was supposed to have an oncologist appointment and after I picked up Daddy's prescriptions and got them to him I was going to come home and shower. Ended up having to run Daddy to the doctor early, oncologist appointment got cancelled and I just sat in the van while Daddy and Mama went in the doctor's office. I was listening to SiriusXM and killed my battery! With the windows down! I didn't try to start the van till daddy came out and it wouldn't start had to call my DH before he got there it started to rain. DH brought the jump box. Van started got Mom and Daddy home and I had to run back to the pharmacy again to get Daddy's prescriptions. I finally get home at 5:05 and I had left the house around 10 yesterday morning. June 26th is always a shitty day! It's the day our (DH) oldest DD passed away 5 years ago and it is followed by June 27th which is my sister's birthday. She would have been 54 today. June has been a rough month. My blessing are plenty and I refuse to let the bumps to get me down. They might slow my journey a little bit but I will keep moving!

*not much running around yesterday! When I got home at 5 I only had 11,000+ steps. I usually have that by 11-12. I added another 11,000 by bedtime. Still a little light but I tried!

varga, congrats on the good news! Maybe the good news is a way to know that good things can happen on those days that bring us grief and sadness. Hugs for you on these difficult anniversary days.

We were supposed to ride bikes to the beach for dinner last night, but during the afternoon I had another episode of what I think might be vertigo. Happened about a month ago, and again yesterday. Such a weird feeling and lasts for hours. Wasn't feeling into biking dizzy, so instead we drove to a new mexican restaurant, and then drove to the beach and went on a nice long walk, just a beautiful evening. I got my steps and active minutes in, that's for sure. Today is more laundry from camping, and cleaning house, getting ready for 10 days of 3 sets of visitors starting Friday. And maybe another walk on the beach!

Just a quick pass through. Caught up on about 4 pages of your posts. Badger, great news that mom is doing well. Say Hi for me next time you visit.

Been keeping busy with pickleball, water aerobics, water volleyball and WATPs but mysunshine and I are still strugglling with our weight!!! Taking off 10 lbs in 2 months is turning out to be a bigger challenge than either of us counted on. But, we persist~

Varga: What a day you had yesterday. Went from good news to what can happen next to sad memories. June is almost over. That will help. (((HUG)))

    Pat and Ruth: great pictures.

Heidi: Yikes! May you improve daily.

Falconer: Hope your healing is still progressing.

    Patoo: Good to see you!

Lilac: Love to read about all your activities.

Hi Everybody! I pushed mowed for 2 and 1/4 hours today in the freaking heat and humidity. Took several breaks. Also worked in the yard for an additional 30 minutes. Looking forward to going to the beach on Saturday!

Thanks for the well wishes, y'all. They worked! I am feeling much better. I managed to get my 10,000 yesterday just doing the things I didn't get to do while I was in bed.  Varga, hugs to you to the memory of your DD. Patoo, I was just wondering where you've been. Yes, it does seem to get harder to take weight off as we get older. I wonder if it has to do with microbiome changes.

I just saw this, speaking of bacteria: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/06/180621101329.htm

"This is the first time that researchers have shown that it is possible to cut age-related bone loss in elderly women in half if they receive health-promoting bacteria, known as probiotics."

DD is off today for a school trip to Greece. Then I will probably walk along the lake inspired by the beach walks here.

Ginger, how you doing today? Thanks for you input and I too have a hard time recognizing our country in what it has become. HeidiHill, ok, lol, oh well..hope DD has fun. Thanks so much for the link and tweeted to @moveitorloseit. Varga, pleased to her all is well on the biopsy and hugs to you - roll on July! Pat, like the photo and you too Ruth. I stayed the night last night after work with older disabled friend Sal, as her husband in in hospital with fractured ribs from a fall. The village she lives in is charming with soft church bells chiming on the hour till midnight and start again at 7am. Really enjoyed hanging out with her. Look at these photos of one of my idols, Ruth Ginsburg; she will never retire (nearly perfect plank, just raise the head a little whilst looking down, butt in line with shoulders - peerfect!)

varga- congratulations on receiving good news from your doctor. Sorry the rest of the day was really rough. Certain anniversaries are tough to get through but you did it. Hopefully, today will be a much better day for you, filled with sunshine, positive thoughts and opportunities to keep moving.

Wonderland, whenever you speak about push mowing for a couple of hours I cannot help but smile. I remember growing up in a small town and we had. 10 acres of property. Our front and back yard consisted of almost 3 acres. Fortunate we didn't have to mow the seven acres in the back. We only had a push mower and it was horrible mowing during the summer time. Prior to mowing, My sisters and I would always cover our bodies in baby oil and iodine We had to work on our tans and show off our bikini bods. My biggest disappointment, I was never able to tan. I burnt and peeled. LOL I have a small yard and a couple of years ago decided to purchase a push mower.. I had forgotten how hot it is during the summer time plus the mosquitoes. So the mower sits in my garage. I love working in my yard but I hate mowing. I still love the smell of fresh-cut grass.

Thanks ladies! My DH said to me "without saying anything else, I can't believe it's been 5 years". I said I know. We both just shuffle through the day. June has been an ugly month and July will be welcomed! Even though DD would have been 32 in July that day isn't as sad.

Delivered Meals in Wheels yesterday and did my dreaded Walmart shopping. Our water was off all day for repairs down the road so out for dinner. (YAY!) We went to Jason's Deli and the salad bar is so yummy with lots of local produce and there is ice cream! I have wanted ice cream since my birthday! I finally got and in a controlled environment! Lol

Mealson Wheels today to. It's a nasty day with storms that will have 60 mile a hour winds. Hoping to get home soon!

    Have a beautiful day!

varga- sending you a hug. June is almost over. Bring on July!

Falconer- no church group trip but my summer plans include 2 weddings, an 11 day boat trip with DH and friends on their boat and our girls are throwing a 30th Anniversary party for DH and me. Going to be a fun summer!!

Lilac- school year is done. Feeling better. I saw the Mr Rogers movie yesterday and I recommend it. Some much needed and refreshing philosophy and viewpoint.

Ruth- I just downloaded Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine to my kindle. Thanks for the recommendation.

    Hi everyone!

Stopping in for a quick hi! Life has been busy And I needed a little break from this site! I am sleeping better finally and it feels wonderful. Enjoying my summer break so much this year! Last summer was so shitty! I feel like I am renewed in a sense. Had my surgery (oopherectomy): 2wks ago. Everything went well and pathology came back clean! I started running again last week at 2wks post surgery. We are enjoying our new camper on our seasonal spot, reading, lots of running and walking, coffee and dinner dates with my friends, going to my our 14yr olds sons baseball games and running him round town. Could be my last summer doing this...he is our youngest and I hope he is driving next summer sometime! There's nothing better than listening to 14 yr old boys talking in the back seat. I am usually stifling giggles. They are an interesting breed. 😜 It's truly a wonderful summer and I am grateful.

I finished my tamoxifen after surgery and started Armidex last Sunday. A little nervous about side effects. I did so well on Tamox. But want to throw everything at this. I know So many of you do well on this so I have hope I will too.

Hugs to you Vagradoll. Wishing you peace.

Great job on all the workouts and exercise! Hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

Off to walk the dog and dentist appt.I will be back....want to start checking in again. 💗

I am looking forward to July as well, or at least the second half of it when I will have a lot more free time. The nonprofit is having a going-away party for me on the 17th though suspect that I may still have a few things to wrap up. I do have projects coming up in August so the timing will work out great. I will be very glad not to be doing both nonprofit and market research work. It's been quite the slog.

I have to drive to a midday meeting, about 60 miles each way, today. Then I hope to get in a ride as need to get in a lot of saddle time over the next 2 weeks. I also need to get my office set up and organized so that it's intelligible for the next person. This is a combining 3 offices exercise, so three sets of files, and other stuff I will learn about once I open the boxes. That's a between now and Monday venture.

Yesterday was the day that it hit me that I really am moving on to the life I have been working towards for some time. I will have a lot more free time, and also be doing a fair amount of project work. More time outside doing things I love doing (and which keep me fit). More time for the arts, and time to read something other than business tomes. Really enjoyed the dramatization of the Picture of Dorian Gray that I saw last Saturday. I also want to get to the pre-Impressionist show which is now on at the Frye.

On the topic of some things getting better, I had the dentist yesterday. Back in February, I had the torture of periodontal cleaning as things were going south with my gums. They have completely recovered!!! My dentist was amazed, and my hygienist was thrilled.

Loved my walk last evening. It was delightfully cool and the air was sweet. More to come. Happy near July!!! - Claire

Record high today 105 in Denver. Its like a furnace outside. Got a nice walk this morning but it was already hot at 7:30. only 8+K so far today, so I probably won't get to my goal of 15K.

karen- I've been struggling with running in 93 degree weather here in Miami. Probably another 3 to 5 degrees higher with the heat index. Within the next few days I'm going to dust off my treadmill because I don't know how much longer I can tolerate running outside during the summer time. In my situation, I've been having to make adjustments with the heat for the past several years. I cannot blame it on cancer because I've only been diagnosed with cancer for 7 months now. In my case I believe it's just part of the aging process. I do admire those who can tolerate the extreme heat but I'm not one of them.LOL. Running in Miami during the late fall and winter is perfection. Summer is a b-----.

Glad you are feeling better, Heidi.

    Lilac, I have a

Notorious RBG t-shirt that I wear all the time. She HAS to stay in good shape for us!!

I love your beach picture, Pat.

Glad your surgery is behind you, Runner. I was kind of sad when DS got his license because I so enjoyed all the boy-talk when I was chauffeuring him and his friends around.

    Exciting times, Claire!

Geez, we are having hot, humid weather here too. We are, in fact, in a tornado watch at the moment.......yuck!

I went to Pound this morning, yoga tonight, and in-between was the 'enjoyable' activity of sanding & staining baseboards.

Hot and humid here in central FL as well. I play pickleball 2 mornings at 8:30am and the sweat is just pouring. Also play 2 evenings but we moved from 4-6pm to 6-8pm to try and beat the heat but usually by 7 we've had it (that could be anywhere from 3-4 games). Water aerobics and water volleyball mid-morning gives some relief but the water temp is kept at 82 degrees year round and then with the heat it must be higher. Water only cools down a little when we get lots of rain.

Had hair appointment this morning so only exercise today was yard work (sweat pouring!)

I have space in my apartment for anyone who would like to camp out. I donned a warm sweater and jacket as a delightful 60 degrees with drizzle here. Was working mentally through my handoff items as I did my walk today. It is never so hot here that a swim wonG't set things right. Choice of lake or river.

I was planning a ride, but no time as I needed to get out a couple of sponsorship proposals. I will unpack the rest of my office tomorrow with the idea that it's for the next person to figure out.

Roasting veggies in my oven along with Beer Brats that have been in my freezer since my ski trip. Major feasting awaits.

So behind on my other business ventures but will get to them in due time. Office is next on my list. Booked my post STP hotel in Portland earlier, so have that one settled. Four things you need post ride in this order are: beer, bath, dinner, and bed.

Gorgeous sunset and off to dinner. Raising my glass to feasting and of course, EXERCISE!!! - Claire

goodmorning! We are supposed to reach 100 over the weekend. That is very hot for us in western NY!

On my way to ex class I blew a tire (only a half mile from home, how lucky). I pulled over and my tire was fine, but it sounds like a thump thump thump , so I am waiting for the tow truck to take me in! I had an appointment for my A/C to get fixed, and they have a loaner for me, so hopefully it wont be too much of an inconvenience!

I am trashed this am, not from exercise, but from staying up late!LOL We have a big jazz fest here in Rochester every year. Usually it is the last week of school. I get tickets for a big show every year for us and our 2 kids. We saw Lake Street Dive. Not really jazz, not indy, not blues, not rock but a blend. I love the lead singer Rachel Price. I have heard her other places. Excellent show! It made me realize that I see way too little live music. I grew up in a household of musicians, and I need to get back to it. My voice is shot since they cut nerves during my thyroid surgery (at least it was benign) so maybe I need to learn another instrument???

Hopefully I can get in another ex class later today.

Say cool everyone, and stay away from those tornadoes Ruth!

clare-I do envy you, 60 degrees sounds wonderful. Today is my first herceptin and & perjeta without chemo. Hopefully it won't be too hot when I get home this afternoon from work because I would like to run at least two three miles. My radiation starts next Thursday. They were going to start today but decided against it because next Tuesday and Wednesday radiation services are unavailable. Keep On Moving. Runner it's nice to see you're back. Your exercise routine always inspired me to do more.

Supposed to heat up here this weekend too. Got to mow the lawn today too. Been busy cleaning house getting ready for 3 sets of company over the next 10 days. First up is my DD and family, they are going to a wedding tomorrow so we get to babysit the 4 kids! I'm not complaining, but I bet I'll be pretty tired when this weekend is over. The rest of the company will be adults, so a very different mindset.

If I don't get back on for a few days, I wish you all a Happy 4th, and hope you can stay cool in all the heat.

First day of a potential 6 days over 90 degrees heat wave here so we escaped the heat by heading to the shore. Our friends have a boat docked in mystic and we are enjoying the cooler breeze. Currently reading in my perch in the shade

I did water fitness this morning before we headed out. Now this is summer! I love my morning exercise schedule.

The shore sounds like the place to be!

Aqua Zumba this morning and then back to work. The brackets and shelves are up, vent covers & switch plates are on, the baseboard is sanded and stained. We'll install them tomorrow, and then can put the rooms back together (after which we'll do it all again in the living and dining room.....but not until after the 4th).
