Lucy: Thanks for the saying. it speaks volumes. You are such a blessing.

Kate W: Praying that your results are good. May God give you calm. Remember that He is not going to bring you to this place in your life to leave you here. He will bring you through it.

Mini: How are you feeling? Praying that each day shows improvement.

Debbie, Becky, Sue, Carren, Anita: Praying for each of you, that God continues to meet your needs. Even though we on the forum cannot be there in person, God is with you always with every step you take, with every set back and with every bit of good news. Everything will work out in His time.

A full day after surgery and I managed to sleep okay. Some discomfort but I can live with it. Just received our online estimate from our warrant company and had we paid out of pocket, we would have had a $800+ bill instead of the $150.00 bill. God is so good.

I just read an article about the guy that stood beside the Boston bomber and ended up losing both legs above the knees. He is in his twenty's and he is not letting his lose get him down. Man has such fortitude to come back and survive. I believe it is God given and only goes to say that we can handle a lot more than we think we can and God never gives us more than we can bear. I hope all of you remember this.

    Love in Christ,

    Char

Oh guys...the short story is that my breast cancer is back in the lymph nodes at my collar bone. Sigh... I am meeting with the surgeon on Monday to discuss biopsy options. Three months since I completed chemo. Seven months since my mastectomy... Seriously?!?! I am SO mad! I am SO angry I had to tell my children again tonight the same crushing words I prayed I would never have to tell them again.

I have more info and things to say but am just at a loss for words. Thank you all so much for your prayers! I know I am not the only one struggling here but please pray for me.

    A million thanks and hugs,

    Kate W.

Oh Kate.  Your post took my breath away.  I know that every single one of has had the exact same feelings.  All of us will be praying for you and your family.  I was doing warfare prayer this morning and this certainly wasn't the answer I had hoped for.  God has put you on this journey for a reason and I know I struggle to accept each day as He gives it to me.  It isn't what we expect but I do know that I focus on God being bigger than the cancer I am trying to beat.  Prayers for peace and blessings that come out of our darkest hours.  Sue

Kate: You are stronger than cancer and God is stronger than both. I know it stinks but God has his reasons and He will take care of it. As for your kids....God will give them what they need. I find them (children) to be tougher and stronger than we think. I see it everyday with kids the kids I teach that are experiencing divorce or illness or economic issues.

As Sue says make your battle plan with God. He will bring you through it. I certainly can understand the anger but put it toward your cancer in your next plan to fight it. God has it all worked out. I am praying for you and your family that God will give you wisdom, strength and calm. When there seems no place to turn, stop and wait on God. He will not leave you in this place.

Kate, so sorry to hear your news. It's so hard to tell your kids when you know how much it will hurt. We do all we can to protect them from pain and then have to be the bearer of  bad news. I feel for you. I think that was absolutely the toughest part of my DX. I know you are determined to beat it and they will be your support and strength as you fight! God Bless You!

    Kate,

I think about when God's people marched around the walls of Jerico. Faithfully and quietly they marched for 6 days and on the 7th day when they marched, with a great shout, the walls of Jerico came tumbling down. Who did that? GOD!!

God is capable of doing anything with those who trust Him. Follow God's plan and expect walls to fall even the ones called cancer! Sometimes, it seems quiet and you wonder if God hears you, he does because he is right beside you in this battle. Trust him, listen for His voice and do what He tells you to! He is with you in every step you take!

    Kate,

I am very sorry that you are having to go through this.  It is no comfort to you, but you are not alone.  There are a number of women on this thread who have advanced cancer, and we know what you are going through.  I just want to let you know that it will be easier to bear in the future, it is just that you are reeling from the shock right now.  I will pray that the Lord gives you His wonderful peace that is beyond all understanding, and that He will carry you until you are able to live in your own strength again.  Please trust me that it will happen, I was diagnosed last May and thought life would never be normal again.  My church prayed for me constantly, and also the ladies on this thread have prayed for me in the past, and that has helped me so much, just like it will help you in the future.

    God bless you, Debbie

Kate - I am so sorry to hear about your test results. I echo all the sentiments above.

Char - I am feeling a little better. It will be a process that will take some time. I am still having trouble sleeping and get the shakes, but I'm not fainting or crying at Hallmark commercials. That's progress. :-)

I am going to apply for disability. Please pray the doctors and SS reps look at my paperwork with kind eyes and I don't have to re-apply multiple times. Money is tight with all the out of pocket costs and I am not able to work.

    Blessings

Dear friends, please pray for my friend and her family. We just received news that her daughter and grand-daughter were found dead in their home. We have no details about the cause. Her husband is in very poor health, and this will hard on him physically as well as emotionally. Please pray for God's tender mercies as they go through this difficult time.

Good morning ladies.  It's a beautiful, warm spring morning here in Denver.  I was thinking about how this pretty early morning is such a great reminder of our Redeemer's renewal every spring and the promise of our spiritual renewal when we put our trust in Him.  So many have endured a long, cold winter, a picture of what life is like without Him.  I can't wait to see the first early blooms of spring.  We are so close!  We're also only three weeks from Easter, the best day of the year.

Mini, so very sorry to hear about your friend.  Prayer for you and their family as they sort through this terrible tragedy.

Oh my heart. Kate, so sorry for your diagnosis, again. I feel your anger at the same time I am glad that they found it, now and not later. Char, glad to hear your recovering. Mini - your poor friend and you, such a loss. I will pray for the family that is left behind. It is hard, sometimes, to be positive, isn't it. Yet, we soldier on. God is fighting for us. We are are not immortal but we are eternal beings. Focus(ing) on God, the source of our comfort, we may never understand the 'whys' and 'how comes' we have in this life but we will in the next. If I could 'make a list' - I would. Chin up everyone, when the chin is up - so are the eyes.  Carren

Hi Ladies, saw this today and thought of all of us.  Praying for everyone on the board...seems like there are lots of prayers happening.  Tomorrow I have my treatment and then I have a week break and I am so excited. My fingers need a break, the neuropathy is playing havoc with my little digits.  I have been taking glutamine an P5P vitamin B6 daily so I am not sure if it is helping or not.  I don't know if they are in good shape after 4 months or not.  I will be asking the RN tomorrow at infusion.  Some good news is my hair has been growing, I have like 1/2 inch new hair growth all over my head.  I started taking some Biotine over a month ago along with increasing my protein shake mix called Plantinfusion (plant based shake mix).  So it could be the mix of the two not sure but I am stoked about it.  With summer coming up the wig and hats are starting to feel warm. Granted my hair is white but I will take it.  I sure pray that everyone has a great week and things go well and you all hear good news.  It is so important to remember to pray and not dwell on the reports.  The ultimate physician is in control and He has a plan for all of us.  He loves us so much and we are His daughters and He doesn't want us to hurt an be sick.  Our bodies are filled with the Holy Spirit and and anointed with God's love and we are healed by the blood of Jesus...thank you Lord!!!

    Blessings Abundant...Lucy

Yeah Lucy.  We like breaks!  I thought the B vitamins had to be a B complex but I may be mistaken.  I think it was on thread somewhere.  I was wondering how  the hair situation was coming.  I have a little bit of fuzz but doubt I'll see anything of substance any time soon.  So glad for you.  Prayers for an uneventful infusion and NO SE's!

Carren you have the best one liner's.  Thank you.

Blessings to all and prayers for a terrific week!  Sue

Amen Carren. I like what you shared.

Keeping you in prayer Lucy that all goes well tomorrow and no more issues with neuropathy. Thanks for sharing words of encouragement.

Day two of PT. They had me starting mini squats and I thought my doctor said he did not want me doing them right away.....hmmmm..hoping this does not mess up my knee. I have boo coo swelling along with a nice Baker's cyst behind my knee which makes bending rough. I am being a good patient. Wednesday I head back to work, ready or not.

Praying that all of you can feel refreshed in those simple things and that you find rest and calm.

Wow Char, you are really moving along fast!  Go girl (but not too fast, lol).  You are an inspiration to the rest of us.  I did tons of walking today - somehow the lymphedema survived.

Lucy I hope your treatment went well today.   I am also interested in hearing about what the doc. said about your neuropathy.  I've been getting more tingling in one of my hands and it's making me nervous that it's spreading.

The unbelievable news I got this afternoon came from the social worker at the hospital where I get my treatments.  She had put through several grant applications a few months ago.  She found out today that one of the providers approved me for a $400 grant to go toward my mortgage!  Two weeks ago I had a regular customer come in to the store and also leave money for my mortgage.  I'm now covered for the next two months!  I then called the billing department at the hospital with questions about two of my Medicare claims that had been denied to the tune of $2500 and another bill I'd gotten from the hospital for $360.  Trying to figure out why they were denied and how I was going to pay for it all.  Low and behold she said there had been a mistake and I owed NOTHING.  Oh my gosh.  Thank you Jesus for showing the financial favor!  Looks like the tithe is going up quite a bit in April!

May these blessings be multiplied to all as well!  Sue

Milehighgirl, that is great news.  We serve an AWESOME, loving God!

Garden, does the PT know you are not to do squats?  Sometimes they have their own agenda but should not go against docs orders on something so important like that.  Maybe check again with the doc before any major (or minor) damage is done.

Praying our Lord's richest blessings rain down on each of you.

Sue - My nutritionist is the one who told me to start taking the P5P B6 to help with the neuropathy so I have been taking that along with the glutamine.  I am sure the break now until the 14th will help.  Hair still growing so stoked about it.  Spoke to RN today while having infusion and she said it has happened before where your body starts to accept the chemo and start growing.  I think it is the added protein and the Biotin that I started 5 weeks ago.  I also have been juicing more the last few weeks as my apetite has been a bit challenged.  No se's other than the neuropathy and the bloody tinged mucus in my poor nose.   MO wants me to see a fingernail doc/specialist that the center provides the patients.  So I will be scheduling that some time when I am there for treatment.  Your tingling is in your hands not your fingers?  Have you talked with your MO about this?  What did they say about it?  Sure love hearing how God works in our finances.  It just continues to show you/us He is with us.  Thank you Father God for being with us, you are an awesome God!

Char - I agree with Patoo, make sure your MO is good with the squats

Blessings all and praying you all have a week of healing, peace and comfort.

Lucy, the tingling is actually in my fingers.  I looked up Biotin and P5P and it makes perfect sense to use these "b's".  I'm grateful for the info as we're hurting here for some good naturopaths.  The juicing will serve you well.  I had to back off because I couldn't stand for too long before the leg gave out but it is a wonderful healing source.  Thanks again for the info!  Sue
