    Hi Dawn thx!!

I'm getting confused between the threads lol. I am now obsessed with looking at bras. I'm getting fitted in the next few weeks and will invest in a few, ok maybe dozens, of cute ones.

Lilah - no I haven't decided on the freebies as of yet. Still have to try some more on (it is a requirement of training so we know more about the fit of each one). I do know that i probably will not get one of their contoured ones as I don't fill out the front of them. Will keep everyone informed of my decisions. - of course I will try and get their more expensive ones for free.

dizzyakira - Welcome!  This whole BC thing totally opened up a whole new world to me that I didn't know existed!  We're here to help anyway we can!  Wink

And yeah, welcome to the dozens club!  Tongue out

delilahbear - Do post when you get them so we all can ooooo and ahhhh.  Smile

Westiluv,  I seem to only be able to wear Natori because I cannot fill out other bras.  They have non-wire and wire and are very comfortable.  Got them at Nordstrom.  Tried other places for fittings and couldn't fill their bras or my cleavaage isn't wide enough and the cleavage wires are on my gummys.  Camerons bras do not fit me, found a 30dd couldn't fit.

Lilah - popped over to let you know that I have my Nordstrom fitting TOMORROW!!!  and one more tid-bit of news for you.  I was cleared for WIRES!  I met the new PS today and she said 'all good'....I even not a nipple day!  Thought I would share.

Sue - yahooo for tomorrow's fitting!!!  ...and wires are allowed?...even better Smile you'll love all the options the saleswoman will bring you, it was so darn fun to try on all those pretty bras! .  Have fun and I will be coming back to find out how it goes!!!

...ps, how'd you like the new PS?

Megan I cant wait!!!  Ill think of you!  Bra shopping will never be the same since I met you!!! Wink

I liked her well enough.  She offered a revision.  I put new photos out on the forum and explained THAT one.  But suffice it to say I said 'no thanks right now' and just made my nipple appointment!

Yippe, Sue!!!!   Great news on finding a wonderful new PS and getting your fitting tomorrow!  Please do keep us posted!  And remember our motto:  "Keep them IN and UP!"

dizzyakira - Yes, I was significantly smaller than a 32AA.....pretty much just nipples on a ribcage. (I have a before pic from my PS on my thread on the pic forum if you don't believe me!)   Thankfully, I had an amazing BS who left me enough skin to stretch and an even more amazing PS who got me  - VERY SLOWLY and not without problems  - to where I am today:  a happy woman who can now buy bras somewhere other than the little girls' department!

Almost forgot......Delilahbear, I just got my latest Soma catalog in the mail and there are some cute bras!  Love the new Cami Bra!   I just wish they carried 30's......   And ladies, many of the bras have matching undies......Smile

Great to hear from you, Kristinka!  Thanks for the link!   As for the quote, when I read that book, that line just struck me.....it so perfectly described where I am at this point in my journey.

Lilah - I have the Selena in every color they have made (that I know of), Also have the Emma minimizer in all colors. They are my favorites.

Val - you are correct, the new Cami bras are nice. I had to straighten all the drawers for the Cami's last night and had them all arranged so that the lace and netting with the sequins floated along the top. My manager commented the drawers looked "awesome". Too bad the don't make smaller and larger band sizes.

I will post pics when I decide on my new freebies. Also need to update my recon thread since I think I AM FINISHED or at least I hope so. May have minor scar revision in a few months where it has thinned out, but other than that all is good. My PS can't believe I still sleep in a bra, especially underwires, but my right side is not comfortable without support.

Val / Delilahbear -- oooo yes I do like those Soma cami bras!

Suebee -- wahoo for wires!  I have to say the choices we get with wires are better... and for unis especially the wires really do help with evening out symmetry issues.  I will go to the pic forum to see what revisions were offered (really???)  Have fun at Nordies!  I hope you called ahead and made an appointment with their reconstruction specialist!

Val, I just updated my thread on the pic site, with my 12 week post op pics and a pic wearing Freya Matilda.  I posted a different pic on the bra thread a while back but if you haven't seen it you MUST.  So cute!  It's like a whacked out Pollyanna. LOL!

Glad to see so much activity on the bra thread! Up 'n in!

Yeah!  Thanks Gals - today is the day!!!   I have some things I forgot to tell you.  PS suggested Soma as a place to get appropriate bras.  She doesnt like VS.  She said they are using fabrics that have bothered several of her patients so she steers people away from them now.

As for what I need to look for, she said 'comfort'...she said Im pretty tiny (Oh GOSH I hope that meant my body and not my new boobs) and could wear any style I wanted....but to make sure the breasts are comfortable.  Sounds good to me!

Lilah - Oh yes I got the surgical fitter for sure. They even made sure I was over 8 weeks out before scheduling.  I was clear about being a RECON and needing that specialized fitter.  VERY Clear! LOL

    Ill report back later!

I couldve stayed all day!!!  Ill have to go back alone sometime without the family roaming the mall waiting for me.  We did school shopping afterwards and I was slightly pressed for time.  But I got what I wanted and needed FOR NOW.  And they are super cute.  ;)  Thanks for 'checking me out'!

I'm waffling on tha natori....maybe I shouldve gone for the Simone....it was WAY comfy and pretty but 89 was a little high. I have the Betsy on today and love her.  Getting properly fit was SO CRUCIAL!!!  What a difference!!!

Hmmmm....taking DD to the mall today for more school shopping....perhaps Ill stroll by Soma???

Yeah you shouldve seen DH when he was doing the bank acct this morning....an audible 'ouch' on the Nordstom entry.  I told him in reality its not bad when bras are 40-50 dollars a piece to start.  Anything cheaper is well, cheap.  You can FEEL the difference as you go up in price.  Its amazing.  I kept saying that I just didnt have any options before so I didnt know better.

Sue ~ when you said you were taking DD to the mall today... I thought you meant your foobs! LOL!

    WAH HA HA HA!!!!!

Speaking of that though, and bras...My poor DD is inbetween.  She is too big for the girls department but, as skinny as I am you can just imagine, too small for the juniors department.  The kid (age 13) needs bras but the Juniors are all PUSH UP and ADD A SIZE...makes me crazy!  I should have her try on my VS 32C for band size and take her over for the wire-frees there.  Now isnt that the saddest statement...she could wear my band size.

Well, if you shop smartly...you guys could share some cute tops/jackets? :)

By the way... what size did you end up measuring at Nordy's?  Did I miss that?  Was it F or G? ;)

Suebee:  Congrats on the fitting and new bras and wires, oh my!!!  I thought the same thing when you said DD, lol!

    SuebeeBC Member Posts: 545

    You guys are funny!!!!

    I got measured as a 32 MAX....LOL.  My circumference is 28.  So I'm officially a 32D.  No E's, F's or G's!!!   So much for the Full B/ Small C I asked for!

    SusansGarden Member Posts: 754

Woot, woot!! You stayed a D! ... heck... sounds like you could possibly be a 30? .. in that case you surely WILL be a DD. :)

  • SuebeeBC
    SuebeeBC Member Posts: 545

Yes I think the Chantelle I have could go down to a 30.  It runs a little big in the band on me.  Ill have to try out a 30DD sometime just for jollies.

I posted on FB that "This week was brought to you by the letter D and the numbers 3 and 2"....is that wrong???  LOL....it was on a page thats a little more private!
