Morning gals. Our local theater company is performing Rent in the park Saturday night. They do a series of plays in the park by the water downtown, so me and 7 girlfriends are making a night of it. Should be a blast! Last year they did Hair and it was fabulous so this should also be great.

Barbara - Sounds like a lot of fun. You deserve a girls night out! Hope you do have a fantastic time. Sorry I keep missing you on FaceTime.

Oh, GD, he is recovering but it is slow, as he is a diabetic. So glas your SIL is awake and out of the hospital. She is blessed.

Barb-the word recovering makes me smile.they both have a long road ahead.Im still prayin for both of them....and all of us....and the vacine for cancer....my knees hurt....0
-
Barb - We did it! Finally got to actually see you as we talked. It was great.
GD - Have you tired the St. Ives lotions and body wash. They are really good and do not have the parabens in them. I am still using the Emu Oil and the Miaderm on my skin and it is looking really good. I use the St. Ives on the rest of my skin.
DM - how did the day with the kids go? Was there much blood? ;-)
0 -
AmyJo- Hah! No blood in my sewing class, but DH taught juggling and mime and the balls were flying! The only kid that couldn't go was my very own sweet son. He woke up with the flu and a 102 degree fever Poor little guy has been in my bed for two days, won't eat and is miserable. He was so passed out, I let him sleep there last night. This morning I woke up and it looked like the bed had been stirred with a stick!
GD- God bless you. You always make me smile. You just roar through life shouting your indignation and praises all at the same time. So glad to hear about your SIL.
BarbaraA- Nothing like a girls night out. Blast that great Shania Twain song when you guys are driving there "Man I feel like a woman!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJL4UGSbeFg (sorry you have to copy paste, my linky thing won't work). Have fun!!

Thanks, DM. And after, we are going to a bar to see DH's band and dance. Should be a blast!
So Amy Jo and I finally got to talk on Facetime. Facetime is an apple app that allows you to see each other on your computer, iPhone or iPad. Very cool. So my iPad rings like a phone when someone calls me. Hysterical.

Hi all,
Cat what a relief to be done with rads, now on to healing keep putting that lotion on, and before you know it, it will only look like a tan, square tan, but tan non the less.
My dad will be getting out of the hospital today, wow 3 weeks. My bro was able to be with him these last few days and I am sure it was good for both of them. We all 5 got to spend time with him, there was 6 but my other brother passed away 1 1/2 years ago.
Saw my MO yesterday for my 3 month appointment, told him my only complaint was that my feet were hurting a lot especially in the morning of course. I have a past history with compartment syndrome and MO feels that it is affecting the areas already weakened by the muscle and nerve problems. He said we could do a bone scan but I want to put it off and see what happens. See the PS next week to talk about the game plan for my next surgery. It feels like lately all I have been doing is going to the Dr. Saw my Primary last week because of a scraty throat ended up having strep. Now today have to take my DS as he is having some unknown aches and pains. Hope they are just growing pains.

Hello sisters...
don't know why I have not posted here for so long, but it has been great catching up with everyone and seeing good things...
I had my last rad treatment on April 11th...things are healing nicely and I"m so thankful for that.
I am at my dad's visiting through Saturday and it's been wonderful..justing hanging out, visiting and having some fun...follow up appointments are coming up and I just really needed this little "break" from it all...
How wonderful that most of us 2010 sisters are past our active treatment...how blessed we are to have each other as well...
prayers and hugs,
Tori

Amyjo - How are you doing? All healed up from rads?0
-
Hope everyone has a Happy Easter or Passover whichever applies.
I am still spending as much time as I can with volunteer groups that are helping all those affected by the storms that came through NC earlier this week. There is so much that has been done and so much that still needs to be done.

Amyjo stay safe, what a trooper you are with your volunteer work.
Tori, congrats on completing rads, what a great time to celebrate.
Got some calla lilly's from my DH for our annv. I'll take a picture and post it soon.
Well, after I picked up DS for his Dr. appointment, he told me he didn't know what all the fuss was about. He thought it had to do with golf. I said what? Seems DS and DH went golfing Sat. when I was at my ladies retreat. And DS woke up sore Sunday morning and was still sore. Well this was news to me and DH was in a panic that this was something big, uh he was there too! Just seems like he strained his rolater sp? cuff and if it was still sore after a week he might need PT. It has been a while since they played golf and he maybe going through a growth spurt so his muscles might be prone to strain.

mjbmiller-glad it was not anything more serious. Hope it gets better and he will not need PT
0 -
mjbmiller - glad it was nothing to serious. Maybe next time he will be a little more careful.
We found out where our friends are that lost everything. The little girl is at her grandparents house in VA and the parents are in a hotel for the time being. Their insurance is paying for the hotel so they are doing okay. My job now it to look for a pink unicorn pillow pet. That is the only thing Olivia said she wanted. She lost hers in the storm. I think I found one online but need to check with her mom, Natashia, to be sure it is the right one.
Hope everyone is planning to spend time with family and friends this weekend. Amy Jo

Amy Jo- Bless you for taking care of the smallest request from a child....which might make the biggest difference in her outlook. I know she will never forget your unicorn pillow pet. I just heard on the news that someone found a battered yearbook and tracked down the owner. It had blown over 30 miles!! Oh the power of nature is humbling.
My little guy is still not himself after the flu. He is falling asleep during the day every day and so droopy. If he doesn't start to look his normal, overly energetic self, I am going to take him to the doctor. One of his classmates has mono (they allow them to attend school now). I am going to be so upset if he got it!
Happy Easter and Passover everyone!

amyjo- i echo Designermom- sometime the smallest things have the biggest impact
DesignerMom- so sorry about the little guy, nothing worse when they are down...it is when we miss their nonstop normal madcap behaviour...here is hoping he is up and hopping around driving you nuts in no time;)
