ah oh, Betty's gone over the edge!!!!!  This is like the old fashioned winters we used to have, when I got up there was only about 3 inches and I thought not too bad at all, then it started snowing more heavily and blowing, I think we have about 8 inches now and it's still coming down sideways.  My liquid O2 delivery man came at 3 and said he drove in white outs all the way from Rochester  to my house.  The portable tank is so much more manageable, weighs far less. sorry Cheryl you are out of a job with many thanks to all of you who have done tank duty.  It is very quiet at my house, I have decided to actually live the Serenity Prayer, and keep my contact to a minimum, easier on the nerves for certain. hugs to all - stay warm, stay safe, Karen

Maureen, hugs and prayers that it's just nothing, but I understand the anxiety waiting to find out. Will definitely be with you on Thursday.

Linda, Linda, where are you? Let us know how you are doing.

Been watching a lot of the Olympics at my house, it's getting to be a long winter. Almost done with the third Hunger Games book and then I'll watch the first two movies. As you can see, nothing much exciting going on here, but that's ok for now. It's really quiet here since my older daughter moved out. She's really liking having her own place. But that's only until July when she gets married and the husband will move in.

Hope all are doing well .......love, Jan

Hi all, Maureen - I'm in your pocket now and will jump into next pocket when you change, will be with you on Thurs. when you go to the doctor's.  During drinking hours just pour a little CM in and I won't be a nuisance.  Sending calm thoughts to counteract the anxiety and prayers too.  Linda, wherever did you go to, we are missing you.  Had to get a stronger prescription for my glasses, so am wearing last year's glasses, so no reading, thank goodness for the Olympics!  Know more about the winter sports than I ever knew before!   Very quiet here, all are finished with winter.  An aide I had when I was at the Pre-school found me on Facebook, we had a wonderful time remembering what after hours at the school used to be like in the mid 80's, nothing you could get away with now.  We complimented each other on looking just like we used to---ha!  Having coffee tomorrow with my former aide from the Blind School, FB is a wonderful place to find old friends and bc.org is a wonderful place to keep ties with present friends!!  love, Karen

Very quiet here ladies, what is everyone up to? Still not much here, more Olympic watching, more reading. The US hockey team win over Russia was exciting. On a positive note, I noticed that it was still light out at 5:30. Take care, keep warm, love Jan

    Hi ladies,

I FINALLY am able to get a strong wifi signal!  Yes, I did have a biopsy done & then I had to have a SonoHystergram; it's an internal ultrasound.  Results showed I have a pre-cancerous condition w/ a very weak cervix!  My Dr claims this is normal in post menopause women & I have to see her again in June.   Also I've been going for my knee injections (ouch!).  It is a series of 3 injections, 1 week apart.  This very COLD weather is relentless on injured joints!  I've had 2 shots; 1 more to go.  Also, I went for a routine eye exam & was referred to a retina specialist.  I had that appt this morning & he said my retinas are fine but he discovered I have catatracts in both eyes.  Also, I went to Pluta Cancer center to see my MO & she said I need to have Reclast again for my brittle bones.  I have an appt next week w/ my RO, who I've never met because she replaced my DR who retired in December.

Total for the month of February; 7 Dr appts!   This is my life!

I'm still taking care of my Mother; who is declining & needs more from me.  Today, after my eye Dr appt I took her to her Dr because she has Strep throat again.  She had it 2 weeks ago & was on an antibiotic but apparently it didn't work!

Also about a week ago, my Mom went to flush the toliet & it backed up!  She's on sewers here & long story short, I had to call a plumber to come & snake out the main pipe & replace it w/ pvc pipe.  What a mess!

This is my life; Doctors, Doctors, & more Doctors!  & pretty much doing everything for my Mother, including Doctors for her!

And I still work every day part time.

I bet you are sorry you asked where I've been!  Just kidding!Loopy

Besides  watching the Olympics, enduring this long, frigid winter, how is everyone doing?

    Stay warm!

    Love, Linda

Linda,  thank you for checking in with us.  Seven dr. Appts and it's only half way through the month. No wonder you had no time to get online. And your mother too? And time to work? Wow, well praying for you that things will calm down and that The Lord will bring you better health.

Maureen, maybe Betty's right about why your numbers have gone up. This whole BC thing is so stinking crappy. Enough is enough. Praying that you too will be granted better health

Karen, so glad things are looking better for you with your family. They need to appreciate the wonderful caring person you are.

Hi to the rest of my friends here. Miss you all......Jan

I have been MIA for way too long here. I think it is the cold. I am hibernating in every way possible. Hubby and I have been seriously considering a move to a warmer climate. My skin condition gets so bad when I have to bundle up, so been dealing with trying to get rid

of that. Fun, fun, fun. Moisturizer? I use Olay Regenerist and Definity.

I am sending you an unbelievable amount of prayers Maureen for your Petscan. Hoping Betty is right.

I will have to find out from hubby about the 8th. he is traveling most of this month and some of next month. Will let you ladies know. Here's to warmer temps, good pet scan results, less doctor's appts., more Buster stories, and lots more good times and laughs for all of us. Love you all! <3

Well said Susan. You write so well. If you move I'm going to climb in your suitcase. I started whining yesterday about the snow and haven't stopped yet. I am officially sick of snow. Guess what I have a flood watch for thurs too

Linda. I  so relieved that you are ok. We were worried. Doesn't sound like the best of times but hoping things turn around for you

I found a new drink called Mu. Karen talked me into adding to my coffee last night. What a great idea karen. Lol.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Hi all you strong women, if adversity makes us strong we are going to be able to take on Superman and win.  I think this winter weather has all of us thinking of warmer climates.  Test, tests and more tests - when it all piles on it feels like it takes over your life, seeing Dr. after Dr. has us all thinking in a direction we don't want to go, this bc journey can just knock you down with all it twists and turns.  We are also women of great power of prayer, when everyone was in my pocket, prayer took a terrible situation and turned it right around and I am blessed to have all of you and I thank each one of you.   Linda, we are all so glad that you checked in, we were about ready to send out those huge St. Bernard dogs with a small barrel of your favorite drink and Maureen, I'm voting with Betty and Susan that there is massive shedding going on, and the tumor markers go right back down.  On the 8th there may be reservations for all of us, so sorry you cannot join us Linda, and a request for 2 bottles of Godiva, I hope the police don't oversee our posts!!!. Love to all, Karen .

I am in for lunch on the 8th. Will we need a third bottle? :)

    Stay warm and safe everyone!
