Dear Maureen, do they see a need to do a liver biopsy to ensure the tumor hormonal status of your tumors didnt' change?. Just curious if that's something worth checking or if they did already. Praying for you everynight.

Already did that with the bone and plan to redo on the pleural fluid too

Hope it treats you gently Maureen, you had an exhausting day. Sending prayers that tomorrow the doctor's hands are guided to alleviate any pain. Sleep well, love Karen

Thank you all for the lovely cards and mass request. You bring tears to my eyes. Really tired yesterday. Slept most of the day away. My friend woke me this morning wanting to enjoy a beautiful sunny morning. As I look at the sun reflecting on the ice, I'm thinking of the wonderful friends I've made on this site

Dear Maureen,
I'm sorry you have to deal w/ this horrible disease again. You are fortunate to have a husband that supports you. Try to rest as much as possible. I'm sending prayers to you, hoping you will find the courage & the strength you need right now.
You mentioned about shopping for a wig. I know @ Pluta Cancer Center where I go, when I first started my treatments, I received a huge handbook that listed several resources, which included places offering FREE wigs. You might want to check into that @ your treatment center.
Since I live in Rochester, all I can offer is if you need someone to talk to, please feel free & call me.
Take care of yourself!
Love, Linda

Ps. So glad to see you posting again Linda.
So we appear to be in for another polar vortex too. Wth is this Antarctica ? Wish there was something else to talk about than weather and chemo I'm tired of both.
How is everyone doing?
Btw can't make the 8th crap it's just not in the cards

Definitely tired of this polar vortex, I feel like a polar bear hibernating. I just grab a book and snuggle into a few blankets with a SAD light bulb they sell at Home Depot turned on, only venture out on short have to trips. How many of you ladies are in for the March 8th at 1 o'clock, I count Betty, Jan, Cheryl, Susan, me, bevin and Debbie how about you? I'll make reservations as soon as I hear from you. Maureen - you will be dearly missed, can we bring you a take-out meal or desert, we will send the healthiest person in the bunch to deliver? love, Karen

I am sorry, I can not come on the 8th. I have a noon christening to attend and then a friends birthday party in the evening. Have fun without me though and I'll see you all soon.

Possibly.... I will check tomorrow evening. Go ahead and make reservations. I will chime in and confirm if I can come...

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Rochester General Health
System is forming a partnership with United Memorial Medical Center that
will make the Genesee County hospital an affiliate of Rochester
General.Officials revealed the joint venture on Thursday, saying it will
allow them to expand services at hospital in Batavia. Over time, they
say residents will be able to stay closer to home to get medical care.United Memorial will maintain its name and a local board after the affiliation is formalized.
United Memorial CEO Mark Schoell said, “The real reason for choosing
Rochester General Health System, first of all, we are very culturally
aligned with Rochester General Health System. We have the same sense of
community and the same sense of being a community asset.”The two organizations have worked together for the last five years in
several areas, including cardiology, pathology, and surgery.0 -
