I am almost a free women. Down to 1 crutch and today I can drive. Whoo hoo.

dear all, this laptop takes a bit of getting used to so I am leaving punctuation by the wayside for now. I was going through withdrawal without my computer and my dear friends. Betty, Buster and Maureen, sure do start your day early in a hospital!! I am much improved, my breast is almost the right color, when I tell you fire engine red it is no exageration, it sure scared me. All from a little yeast infection under that breast, I asked for powdwer to put under it, they brought me Desenex!!!! I guess it works though, since it is a fungal infection too. Bevin, so glad you are losing that crutch and can drive too. Susan are you in the new house now, bet that was some chore!! Cheryl, my roomate is a Cheryl too, and just as nice as her namesake. Kelly, I am beginning to think you were a mirage, it is time for a get together. The drs. are usuallly in at 9ish, will have more news then, love and hugs to all, Karen

Hi all, doctors' were in, not such good news, the redness is coming back, so only one dy free of it, they are calling in consult from infectious disease for help in what antibiotic to use next. I told my roommate she was going to wake up with a red boob,not lol Send prayers I want to go home!!!! love Karen

Aww gee Karen, I was hoping you'd be more sorted out by now. Glad they have the infectious disease folks in. They know their stuff. Keep us posted and you're in my prayers.
Good new on my homefront, Mammo and Ultrasound of BC Breast were clear. I go back in six months for both sides. Thats' good news as in August i'm 2 years out from this mess.

hi all, still on laptop, miss my mouse!!! They have reintroduced an antibiotic I had been on and think the radiation damage to my breast is causing delays in absorption of meds, yet another gift of bc. So are going to repeat cat scan to see if anything was missed,call in a dermatologist consult and possible scraping of skin and biopsy it. All meds to stay the same, just give them more time. My roommate is going home today, I willl miss her, she is a funny and good woman, we will exchange e mails to keep in touch, you meet new friends in diffferent places, we are calling it our Rochester General mini-vacation. love to all, Karen

hi all, maybe home tomorrow, still have to see BS and MO today, they found out by doing a sleep study that I have sleep apnea, so on oxygen here. New phone number is 585 339 6388, roommate left and I took the bed that faces the window, beautiful view can even see the lake in the distance. The night nurse and I just moved me over at 4:30 AM, when my nurse came in, she said where's Karen and I laughed and she peeked around the corner and said what did you do!! Night nurse snuck in the room and said gotcha, some wonderful nurses here and one who needs to throw in the towel, burned out big time. Maureeen,will you PMSeaside, already got Jen 42. love you all, Karen wish I had my own computer, last nigh I hunted and pecked a long mesage, spelling errors and all and it suddenly disappeared - argggg

Hi all my dear friends, so sorry I made you all worry so much, if I'd been thinking straight I would have DD post. Loving my own computer, shower and soon my bed!!!!!!!! Emma came right to me but Sophie let me know she was very PO'd at me, cats can do that, now she is between me and the keyboard. Glad to hear that test are good and that broken bones are healing. Sorry I have been missing, very stressed out and now have plantra fasciatus (?) very sore left foot and can not walk much. Does not make me very happy.
I hope we can get together soon, I miss everyone. Will write more later.

Hi all just got back from the dentist then off for hair cut n color. So glad you are home Karen!!!! When my beloved cat is angry she loops at the front door loo the brat. We need to see each other to get healthy. Next sat. Hubby needs to have teeth pulled next weekend busy with family stuff. Hows third weekend? Hopefully we'll all be good by then. Let me know

Hi all, slept like a rock, had to set alarm to get med at midnight, I heard Sophie jumping and landing hard. She was trying to get a bat, dear lord, that got into the house. Had to wake up DD who walloped it to death with a tennis racket, we were both stooping and freaking as it flew. Did go right back to sleep though, nice welcome home though. Third weekend should be fine for me, missing everyone, Cheryl so sorry you are in pain and stressed, I know the feeling. I so hope everyone will be there. many hugs, Karen

Hi all, glad Karen is feeling better. Bev, are the crutches gone for good? Hopefully you are swimming like a crazy woman, make up for the time in a cast on crutches. Haven't heard from Susan lately, must be getting the house in order. Just busy watering my sister's flowers/grass as she suns in CA. Hope she has fun, definitely an earned vacation.

Betty, bet you're enjoying your cottage when you get time off. Does Buster go with you?
Kelly, how are you feeling? Are the kids enjoying summer? I miss those days when my kids were young and off for the summer. Now they're all working. I did go downtown to meet my younger daughter for lunch and to see the clowns at M&T.
MIL is still here....until the 20th of August. I'll have to fill you in on that situation when I see everyone.

Dear Jan, weak as a kitten, PCP said I was very ill and will get better in baby steps, it is frustrating and is making me feel down, but I just must rest when I need to rest, will be on antibiotics for the next month at least. I am on O2, not emphysema but because my blood O drops when I am doing anything physical, I just finished vacuuming and needed this break. I mentioned to Maureen that if all cannot meet on the third weekend at the Creekview, maybe those of us that can could meet at the little cafe or the Creekside, missing everyone. hugs to all, Karen

All - foot is healing well. I am practicing no crutches. I can go short distances, like 20 feet without. Getting there. Still in PT.
Family and work is busy. Trying to find child care for those last weeks of August when all the summer camps end.
As sad as this sounds, I'm sitting watching the Olympics and I am thinking I cannot wait to be able to clean again. My house is such a mess. Housekeeper can keep the house "clean" but no one can really put away your things , organize, etc.
