Oh you ladies are so wonderful, do not know what I would do without you!! Biopsy went well-was lightheaded and dizzy afterwards, but I had forgotten to eat breakfast so probably why. Resting in bed today because I just feel wiped out. I had the best radiologist today-honestly I almost hugged him when he told me he would be very surprised if this turned out to be cancer. He said it does not look like cancer to him, or DCIS, and there are a million other things it could be. But, they have to check no matter what. It really wasn't that bad at all-this doctor had so much emotional intelligence, I wish all doctors could be like him!! He said he would call me on Tuesday with results. One spot was less than 5 mm. and it was completely removed. There is another teeny tiny spot 1 inch in front of the other that will stay there unless I need surgery, then I will need repeat mri in 6 months if path report comes out benign..Keep praying but I feel better now. thank you Dr. Smith!! Cheryl--glad wedding went well. Can't wait to see pics, Bevin-sounds like you have your hands full, Skigirl-hang in there almost through, glad there are keeping track of your counts. Linda-radiation can be tough especially with fatigue. I know I was hit hard at first, but I was dealing with cellulitis too so probably why. Lunch on 29th sounds great to me....cannot wait!! Komen Run-well, I'm probably out-too much going on here. The emotional rollercoaster has killed me so I guess getting up front and personal with the whole breast cancer thing might just be too much right now. I will let you know what they find on Tuesday.
Thanks everyone for your prayers and pocket company. You sure kept me warm--it was freezing in there today!! Susan0 -
Susan, so glad it wasn't so bad and that the radiologist was gentle and very encouraging. You deserve to just rest today and even tomorrow. These biopsies are physically and mentally draining. Thanks for letting us know how it went. Will be sending good thoughts until you get more info on Tues. Hugs.....Jan

Hi ladies,
Karen, Yes, I will need directions, so please pm them to me. The results from the bloodwork showed I have a low white cell count & that the radiation could efect the bone marrow but it doesn't explain the other symptoms I was experiencing. I have a weak immune system so maybe I just picked up a virus somewhere.
Debbie, you go girl! only having 4 treatments left! I had my 7th rad treatment today; 26 more to go:( It seems like I've been doing this forever!
I'm going to Rushford Lake tomorrow for the weekend. My sister & her husband have a place there & I REALLY need to get away. Not much care, concern or support around here.
I hope everyone has a healthy & safe memorial holiday!
Linda

Dear Susan, what a nice, feeling doctor, thank you Dr. Smith for taking good care of our Susan, she is very important to us. You do nice things for yourself, I know that mental anguish is so tiring, be good to yourself. Will send positive thoughts to you until Tuesday, but I have a feeling that a rescue greyhound is the newest dog to become part of our group. Love, Karen

BENIGN!!!!! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WORD IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE!
My, what a relief! The anguish is over, we can finally call for that doggie, and enjoy the summer ahead. Thanks for being with me, ladies. Could not have done it without you. Hope everyone is surviving this rain. Had a lightning bolt literally outside the window. Stephan is away this week, but as long as I know I'm o.k., it is all good!! Just normal adenosis in the breast...a very typical finding. I will need to have another mri in 6 months to check to make sure everything is ok, but otherwise, totally fine!
One happy and content Susan
p.s. sorry for the delay...he didn't call until after 3 today, then running to violin lesson and dinner.

Hi all, on this great night with our news from Susan, can I ask for continued prayers for my friend Sherry, who has non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. She got her results from Duke, where there is a specialist on this disease. She is a Stage III, there are only four stages as in cancer, Stage IV is the transplant list. She was my student teacher in 1972 and we became fast friends. Please keep her in your prayers. love, Karen

Wow what wonderful news Susan. You are so right benign is a beautiful word. Happy dance and chocolate martinis all around.
Had dinner at Alex's on Monday w/ my sister and her boyfriend. It was fabulous and I refrained from having a choc martini since my friends were not with me. Unforunately, I could not get hubby to go to the casino. BooooooHooooo.
Boy was that rain something last night, my lilac bush is all bent over, I hope it recovers.
Have a nice day. Hugs, Cheryl

Dear Cheryl, congratulations on 5 years and on getting to know our new friends, Linda and Debbie, you will have to come early to Alex's to point them out for us. Betty, I know you are so relieved, that wait is tortuous, had to go see my RO on Friday, a very rough texture appeared on my breast following radiation treatment. I thought it had spread a little, Dr. assured me all was all right with my world, I called on Friday AM and he was able to see me that same afternoon, so minimal anxiety. Was off course, scared silly, my blood pressure was high when I walked in so nurse took it again after the dr. had examined me and it had gone down to normal range. I made the reservations for the 29th, could you ladies let me know who all is coming, I reserved for 8, already know Cheryl, Linda, Maureen, Susan, Debbie and I are going and that we are going to have alot of happy dances. hugs, Karen
