JUnie, TOS terms of service They can suspend if you post the same thing in more than one place. I've tried to explain to them that we don't read all the threads. Blah, blah, blah.......But I didn't get banned and I didn't get a Mod pm saying they were deleting it, maybe the Mod monitoring had a "leaking" problem and took pity.

Gracies your BX is over now. The way I read it, it was yesterday. Hope it went well.

MEOW, hi haven't seen you here in a very very long time. Welcome hope you are doing well?

Susan, your visit with Queenie sounds so nice. Wish we were all that close together.

Tulip that was so sweet that the PS took time. Hate to say it, but not all are that kind.

Jensen, sorry, what a thing to add to all the stress. Is ehere a chance you could be wrong?

Smarrty, Evie is blossoming. Those three generational pics were fun. AND you are so right they all have the identical nose. HAhahahaha you counted the threads. I wonder if the Mods had a meeting about it. Probably did. I got a very sweet PM last October when I spammed about donating to BCO. This time no PM. BUT leaking is a huge issue as we age. Kegels are okay, but this is way better. Considering I'm getting out of a warm 90 degree pool and then into house airconditioning and not having to make a beeline for the potty. That is a major change.

Tulip, it's possible the Doc mentioned that to get DS in to see ENT sooner. Having a provider who is compassionate with good bedside manner(your PS) is a bonus. Some often forget about the mental health side of medicine.

Jenspac, my heart goes out to you. Men has different needs from us and sometimes that difference causes them to do stupid things. I hope you can find the strength to get through this.

ShepK, you are right. Jazzy always have the right words. That's why I call her Big Sis sometimes.

Susan, I did win most of the badminton games. I played hard on Monday. My mind thinks I am still in my 20's. Hip still hurts. Not looking forward to the long drive to LA tomorrow.

Queenie, I love irregular, I mean abnormal spaghetti too, especially with New Zealand clams. Ummmmmmm.

Sensi, I would love to see your wild hairstyle before you shave your head. Sorry about the soreness.

Ms. S, Evie, is growing too fast.

Ms. Sas, it is good to take time off. Your brain needs rest.

Gracie, yay biopsy is over. Yes, hope they got what they needed.

JunieB, are you behaving yourself and stay out of ER?

    Hello everyone!

Still waiting for the phone to ring.... The sky blackened, thunder boomed, blinding lightning flashed and torrential rain started pouring down as soon as I posted my earnest request. No lie! I'm sure this is a sign! So thankful for the "power" surge from Loverly & Jazzy 🌩⛈

    Sas: POOPOOPOOPOO! I INVOKE THEE...POOPOOPOOPOO

Loverly (and whomever might be passing through SW Michigan): irregular. abnormal, whatever. Makes no never mind. I do hereby stand ready to provide platters of peace and tranquility and kitties and pasta with the sauce of the passers-by's choice.

Loverly, I hope the packing for DD is going well, with minimal tears.

Susan, I missed a family wedding during chemo..bummer, but you need to do what's best for your health.

Gracie, I hope you are feeling better from the biopsy.

Jenspac, please remember that your husband's behavior is not about you. Whatever decisions/actions he did is about him. I understand what you are saying..the hair loss, weight gain, etc..it can eat away at your self esteem and not feeling well physically makes it worse. But you are still you, even if your looks have changed temporarily. I'm sorry you are going through this added stress. Hugs!!

    Smaarty, What a cutie!

Shep, did you get that call?

Sas, okay, you said you were taking a little break from here, but I'll ask anyway in case you check in....Really, do you think my DS's tonsil needs a biopsy? :( I'm guessing they would remove both tonsils and then biopsy, or would there be a simpler way? He actually just finished some antibiotics, for strep.

    Sweet dreams everyone.

This is kinda random, but feel a need to say it tonight...cancer sucks. Period.

Three and a half months before my Dx, my mom was Dx with leukemia (CML). She is stable on meds now, but it does impact her life. Tomorrow kids and I are going to my mom's, who has a friend visiting from out of state. The friend has also had bc. I hate that IT is all around me.

Okay Ladies, today is day 5 and I DID stay away from the ER.

I also got my brace today and while the tech tried to fit it properly, the leg/thigh part hangs down past my knee and is very awkward to wear. Will be seeing the Ortho PA on Monday in regards to whether I need more surgery or not.

Now some interesting news. I had my appt. with Palliative Care yesterday and we discussed the results of my bone scan. The report stated that I have arthritis all over in my joints, but focused largely on my hip situation, which shows a sliver of bone near my pelvis and loosening of the hardware. There is also a blurb about there being NO sign of cancer anywhere in my bones, but no mention of the tumor in my T11. I asked the NP why. She explained that a bone scan only shows any active cancer in the skeletal system. She went back and looked at my CT scan of April 4th, 2016, which definitely showed where the tumor is/was. So her thought was that maybe (just maybe) I could be presently cancer free. I asked, "if that is true, then can I stop treatment?" She said, that that is not prudent right now, but that maybe at some point it would be. I will definitely talk with my MO when I next see her, but she is presently on vacay in Europe. Certainly gives me reason to pause and give thanks.

So for now I will focus on getting this hip back in order and enduring this horrible HOT weather. 102 today and supposed to be 103-104 over the next couple days. YUCK!!!! A/C and I will be close buddies.

Junie, I challenge you to go a whole week ( or more) without visiting your friends at the ER! Interesting scan results for sure!

    junieb Member Posts: 945

Yeah Sassy! - So glad see you back. We were worried that you'd been on a forced vacay from BCO. Your description of your swimming in the pool reminds me that the NP at Palliative Care reminded me that they have a brand new humongous pool at the new rehab facility at our local hospital and she'd be willing to write me a referral to use it once my hip situation is taken care of.

Also, asked PA at MO's office about seeing an allergist in regards to the Morphine allergy and she said she would get that set up.

Susan - How are you? Have you come out of your pasta induced coma?

Queenie - It sounds wonderful. Bolognese sauce cooked with white wine would be my choice. So how many hours drive would it be from Oregon to your place? ;0)

Wenchie - Just checking in with you. You've quite quiet. Have you started treatment?

Sensi - Hope you're doing okay.

If you have time, check out this video from the 2016 Dog Dancing Championships in Moscow, Russia of a dog doing CPR. It is amazing!

Actually WildT, this past week was VERY VERY unusual. The last time I went to the ER was November 2015 for issues related to the Ibrance. I've never been there that many times in such a short period before. I have far better ways to spend my time, I promise you.

Queenie Loved it " Sas: POOPOOPOOPOO! I INVOKE THEE...POOPOOPOOPOO" Yay for POO

40 some pages about poo, but when I came to BCO there was no page about poo. What the BCO mods have done over the years is create Main Page subjects about topics. They watch what we all post about and then create main page topics. They developed a Constipation page.

They finally got a page about poo, but it doesn't talk about the actual problems of pooing. There are many problems with pooing. It's a very subjective and objective subject. Many outcomes. Not all outcomes based on a same scenario are the same. Individual discussion with encouragement to read previous advice can work for many.

Then the unusal poo question comes passing by for an answer. Sometimes we don't catch it. We just let it go passing on it's way. But for the most part, we work the problem.

The surgeon's office never called...... Hopefully tomorrow the phone will ring with good news. June 1st was when I was told I needed to be patched up asap. Getting the equipment lined up for the procedure has turned into a huge ordeal. I want to just have everything over and done with.

JunieB ~ 5 days? I had posted your Accident Free sign as 5 days too early. I'll update it to 6 days tomorrow.

Ack....Were you measured before the brace was ordered? I am only 5' tall so nothing is ever the right length for me. I hope a way can be figured out to make the fit more comfortable. Was the bone sliver caused by the hardware failing, the surgery or the fall? Tell them to use some Gorilla Glue next time 🙁

Very curious about your scans. Praying and praying that you are NED. My bone scan last month stated " Stable diffuse osseous metastatic disease" - my cancer is still there but is not spreading. I've been stable for 3 1/2 years. The scans will sometimes show a slight increase in a lesion. Moving or not, the cancer shows. Could the Ibrance have knocked the cancer out of your bones? What an awesome thing that would be! Have you had any lessining of bone pain? (hard to tell after all your traumas probably) If you are NED, I would think you would still need an AI. ER+ status is still the same. I wonder if you would have to do maintenance treatments every now and then? I think you should ask the MO to call you. We can't wait for her the get back - We need to know now!

That video from the Russian dog show is great! I had a big smile on my face the entire time watching it. I really enjoy watching a good trainer with a happy dog. The love between dog and owner was so plain to see. Heeling so close to the handler while making eye contact is hard to maintain for a long period of time. Lots of patience and trust. Very impressive! I need to re-watch it to look again for the cues the handler used for each behaviour. She was using very subtle movements and facial expressions. The music served as a cue too. Very smart Shepherd! Dogs are so hyper sensitive to our every movement. In normal conversation, I "talk" with my hands. When I started dog training I had to re-train myself. Border Collies are always 100% focused on their handler......Me and my flying hands could easily give a Border a nervous breakdown!

Here's something to draw Wenchie out:

    Baby Raccoons!

Shep, blush versus a laugh and a hearty one at that. I would hope that you got my thought on 2D6. That's a better thought. A steal of a thought. a question / a hypothesis. Where to next?

Shep - The brace came with its own Allen wrenches, so this evening I took one of them and adjusted the thigh portion and will try it on in the morning after I get dressed.

Unfortunately, I can't just call my MO in Europe. I have my next treatment on August 31st, but MO won't be back yet. I will leave a message asking her to call me once she's back at the clinic. I trust her the most. There are 2 other MO's and 3 PA's at the clinic, but the MO's are men and one of them is in the process of running for Governor here in Oregon. The PA's are great, but I just feel more comfortable talking to my MO.

I am so sorry you're STILL waiting to hear about your surgery. Maybe you can use some of your South Carolina spunk and give'em a swift kick in the arse. Just to get their attention don't ya know! I'll make sure to pray that they call you soon to get things scheduled and moving forward. You need to be more comfortable.

Yes, I thought that video was awesome too. I've watched it 3 times already. It's mind boggling the bond that that woman & her dog have.

Well, it's off to bed for me. Which is where most of you are already. Goodnight.

Good morning. It is 6:30 am and we have been driving for about an hour and a half. On our way to LA. Our SUV is packed to capacity. Whatever happens to simplicity? DH is determined to beat the traffic so he is driving like a mad man. Pretty soon I won't get any reception as we pass no man land. I-5 is definitely not a scenic route. It's mostly farming along this freeway. The alternative route (99) is even worse. Just saw two tiny U-hauls. I wonder if they are dropping off their kids at a college/university also.

hi lover, hang in there with DH driving. You'll be there in 3 hours instead of the usual 6-7! I like driving down 99 because 5 is so empty. A girl needs to be able to stop and pee as needed. Keep the pics coming.

Shep, have they called yet? It's 11 where you are. If they don't by noon, you need to call and see if anyone knows they're supposing to be calling you!

Hi everybody. Today I get to cook! Have to do a little shopping first but I'm in the mood. Haha. Making blueberry bran muffins. Found a way to get them under 200 calories. Yeah!

JunieB, I didn't think it ever got that hot in Oregon. Your not on the desert side, right? We're also in the 100s this week. Maybe California has rubbed off on ya!

    Evie so cute!

Jazz, no more pasta coma.....yucky chemo week with this chest cold. Feel, horrible.

Jazz, I have been "stable " for a bit now. But cause of treatment. So I Am not allowed off. Maybe if just my bones were effected I could, not sure, but I had so many nodes involved, so palliative chemo it is . I hope you can get a break. It sure would be nice. Glad you are 5 days with hip in place. Hopefully that will heal up a bit too.

Puppy at a friends for a few days so I can rest. So happy for friends:)

Lover, hope drop off is good. Safe driving

For some reason I can't stop thinking about pasta and blueberry muffins!!!!

Loverly ~ Oooooh such an early drive. The sun wasn't even properly awake yet :( Hope DD got all settled in. At least you now have seen where she'll be staying and you know she got there safely. May your journey home be stress free and uneventful. (((hugs)))

Got my phone call.....I walked away briefly from my cell phone, and....of course that is the number the office used! I have a message that they still are "working" on getting the equipment, not sure how much longer it will take and would I like to be referred to the hospital that does have the equipment if I don't want to wait? The nurse will call me back Monday..... My Hospital is NCI. Why they don't have the one damn machine I need, I don't know. The hospital that does have it is a freakin' block away! And is just a plain old hospital. Makes no sense. The only surgeon I would trust is the one that is trying to get the equipment. Heck, my Oncology team has insisted that only this one guy is qualified to touch me. Either this is truly a problem to get the equipment or they are trying to pass me off to somewhere else. Chit. I'll know more Monday.

Off to sulk in the tub................
