Congrats believe!! Yay! Aren't those words great!!! (My MO actually used cured with me. She really wants me to believe it but its so hard.)

Chrisreen... Why do you say it doesn't look like it will happen any time soon for you?? You ok?

Still feeling good after my exchange. Go tomorrow for a followup with PS. Want to see what she thinks :-)

Chrisrenee - since you've already had surgery - are you sure you are not NED?

Scottie - it must have been Joanne. (Who ate the chocolate, or maybe 2 Fried Eggs)

I've lost 3.5 lbs since my last visit, that's exactly what Fitness Pal said I'd lose with my routine. My Doctor was happy I'd lost anything since weight gain is a side effect of Arimidex. She suggested weights on my ankles to lose more and help fight off osteoporosis-another side effect. Great drug - not. I went to Target after my appt and bought weights.

Ireland - what are you naming your business?

As Momof3 says - hugs to all.

My company is here now, enjoying my cookies! Come visit me, I have enough for everyone!

I'm good everyone. I just want to be able to hear those words. I was told that I would not be considered NED until 5 years. But she won't do any scans on me until maybe year 5. She won't use the term cancer free. I think that's what scares me most is because she won't say it and won't give affirmation about it.

I just spent the last 1 1/2 at my nieces kindergarten rodeo. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. I will try to upload here.

Chrisrenee, I was told that I did not have bc after my surgery, I had it (past tense) ... I am 1 year out and am also clear.

    Believe-love to hear those words!

Chrisrenee-your Dr sounds like a poopy head. I haven't really heard of having to wait 5 years before saying your ned. I consider ned to be once it's not showing up anywhere.

lostinmo-I love my MO, don't get me wrong. When i had my initial (6/12) CT/NM bone scan nothing showed up on it. But she said that she won't consider me NED for 5 yrs, but now I can't talk her into doing just a follow up. I just want to make sure that i'm doing everything I'm supposed to and it's working. Just got the blahs when i think about it. Wink

Busy, busy ladies!!! Believe - happy for you! Shari - hang in there and feel better! Juneau - enjoy whats left of your vacay! Hugs to all I've missed. Had a busy weekend and was back in the city for work today - so i'm wiped out. My skin is healing and peeling beautifully, but man am I a tired lady. Also starting to feel like a lady coming out of a long hibernation and seeing all that has fallen apart in my house/life during the past 10 months. Now that i'm mostly out of the storm - feels like I have a lot of debris to clean up. Sigh... One thing at a time - right? For f#?! sake i'm still going for herceptin every three weeks, so I can still cut myself a little slack... ;) Happy Passover to those celebrating. Sweet dreams to all!

My company that i work for we do a healthscreen every year and if you fall within a certain range, you get a counseling plan for weight loss or whatever you tested high for. Mine no surprise here is my weight, my dietician has sent me fitbit (calorie counter, sleep pattern and pedometer). I got mine in today, got it set up and ready to use it tomorrow. Going to make different steps with trying to lose weight. I'm going to try to put aside all negativity and worrying- going to take Believes advice, along with her quote and take it to work. Right now for me it's all about being in the right frame of mind with positivity and motivation. You all heard it right here. Now it's just follow through. Sealed

Tazzy- you had mentioned you worked in a hospital what do you do there?

chrisrenee-my MO doesn't do any scans either and has never said anything other than "looks good" on the bloodwork that he runs. so I have never heard those words either. Sometimes it bothers me too, almost like he's not telling me something but I think they each just have different ways of stating things.Smile

Great news Believe! Lets hope all on this thread get the same results down the road.

Chrisrenee, you can do it. My biggest problem is the days I get side tracked because of work stress or something then I have to spend a few days getting back on track. I am using just smaller portions more exercise and it has been working. Just a slow process.

Wow, you all have been busy here lol!!!

    Hugs to everyone.

My PS said everything looks normal. She won't revise for at least a year to see how much is going to settle. There was nothing that was worrisome to her so that was good to hear. In fact she said that it felt very good and soft, I must be massaging and moisturizing well lol.

I see RO today going to ak about a couple things that you ladies have suggested. It hurt so much last night that it was waking me up. I shouldn't have to suffer like that.

Hope everyone has a good day and will catch up later.

My BS said she removed it all with clean margins (NED?), MO says he will never say cancer free, he says there is no way of knowing if it had traveled through my blood stream..WHAT??????

    Goof Morning Ladies!

Believe, fantastic news.  That's the best thing we can hear.

Shari, almost there.  Treat yourself today to something decadent!

Shianne, good luck at the ROs today. There's got to be something for that irritation.

Chrisrenee...you can do anything after all you have been through, but it takes time and I think we all have to stop beating ourselves up.  Some days, I am my own worst enemy.  We have been to war and back...in a short period of time.

Ireland...Good luck with your cafe.  My husband have owned a restaurant for almost 21 years.  While it has provided us with a good life, it is our life.  Some days I shake my head and think what the F@#k are we doing.  The business itself is great, it's all the other stuff that wears you down...staff, cranky customers, constantly rising prices, delivery shorts, government paperwork etc.  We are trying to find the right person to take some of the load off us we can do more socially and at home, but it is hard.  I get a little resentful sometimes, but then I have the opportunity of working with my DH and our 2 kids worked with us for a long time as well.

To everyone else...have a great day and I hope it is finally Spring where you areSmile

    Morning Lovely Ladies.

Quick check in before work....I agree... you girls are busy here Kiss

chrisrenee:  I work in human resources at the hospital, nothing clinical.    Sorry you docs wont call you NED, even if you are.... its nice to hear your docs say it.   I made my BS and my RO say it over and over - they humoured me.

Hugs to you all... sorry to all those I missed, have to go get ready for work.  In and out of meetings all day today.

Happy Passover to those who observe.

Shianne You really do need to get something. That cream that Believe mentioned is wonderful but it is a prescription. So soothing plus if you have any open areas it helps prevent infection which you sure as heck don't need with TE's or implants. It is very inexpensive too compared to other creams and comes in a pretty decent size tube or even a big tub. Pharmacist says it is used for burn victims because it is so soothing yet cuts back on infection.  Its called Silver Sulfadiazine creme Good Luck-you need to get something though to get out of pain

LorAll - That's what my MO says too.  But with your pathology, you've got great odds.  Of course part of the reason they won't say cancer free, is who would stay on Tamoxifen if they were 100% certain they were "cancer free?"

I asked my MO about it and as he pointed out, no human being can be certain s/he won't get cancer. In fact if you live long enough, you most likely will get cancer.  So I asked if my odds were better or worse than someone who's never had cancer.  He says I have a slightly "better" chance of reoccurring than someone who has no risk factors, but that's all it is.  Just another risk factor.  And  you can lower your odds by taking the AI's or Tamoxifen, by changing behaviors and lifestyles that increased your risks.  And having once had cancer, we know the importance of vigilence and can watch for troublesome signs.

Good morning all. This has been a very busy thread.

    Believe - congratulations

Chrisrenee - at our cancer center they told me it is standard not to do CT/NM/Bone scans unless there are symptoms that would indicate ordering them. I still have the MUGA scans of the heart every three months while on Herceptin

Shari - glad you are starting to improve, in those pockets for Thursday.

Tazzy - also in your pockets for your results on Thursday

Juneau - hugs, hope that now that you are back you are doing better

Ramols - I hear you! :) I also am peeling and healing and very tired. My next Herceptin is Thursday.

I met with my doctor yesterday and she helped me work out a gradual return to work plan and she also suggested a book that she uses with all her patients. I thought I would share the title here with all of you as I think it sounds very helpful for dealing with the time after treatment that we all seem to struggle with.

The title is 'Picking Up The Pieces - Moving Forward After Surviving Cancer' by Sherri Magee and Kathy Scalzo.

    Believe - Congratulations!

Fellow Warriors - this is the toughest week I have ever had after Chemo #2.  I have barely been able to log on to my computer, let alone comment or be a part of this wonderful commuity.  I hope you all are safe and well with Peace, Love and Blessings.  I continue to positive and pray for us all.  If you are celebrating Passover - Enjoy!  Those awaiting Easter, I hope the biggest chocolate Bunny ever shows up in your basket!

cmbernardi Sorry you are having such a tough week. Best wishes for the same regarding Passover/Easter.

I did want to put it out there though since cmbernardi wished for everyone the "biggest chocolate bunny" ever and everyone seems to be watching their weight- If you get it, Scottie probably wouldn't approve of you eating all that chocolate so you can send it my way. lol Actually you are all shaming me into getting a treadmill so when it gets here I'll start watching too.

Websister it was nice hearing from you-Has your Mom recovered from her last fall? Hope she is doing ok. I haven't gotten it yet but I heard the same thing about 'Picking Up The Pieces - Moving Forward After Surviving Cancer"

Shari glad you are feeling better-it's getting close!

From what I've gathered we have pocket parties for Tazzy and Shari this week right? Anyone else?

    Take care all
