GMA is the nerve pain from the mx? That must be awful, every little twinge and ache makes me so nervous. I am glad the Md. knows what is causing the pain.

Was I in the chemo chair when I wrote it? It looks like an alien tried to explain! LOL But it's up now and you're SO cute!

and found out that sometimes there can be ADA accommodations that will extend FMLA coverage, or at least pick up where FMLA leaves off. I need to do more reading but I did call my HR Leaves person this morning and it was an interesting conversation. She will have the "Resolution Specialist" call me this afternoon. LOL that name says it all, doesn't it? There may not be anything available for me in my situation, but it was fun playing Stump the HR Person with her. She was nice but kept saying "the federal law says FLMA is this long" "Federal Law says". I want her on my side so I didn't say "federal law says that's the freekin' MINIMUM. You have leeway, now gimme some!" Anyway she finally relented and got me to the "Resolution Specialist".

The bad news is that later in the conversation on my other benefits, I started crying. Sheesh! She thought I was mad at her. I told her no, she had been great, I was mad at the stupid cancer that forced me to make calls like this.

Stacey Only had 2 lumpectomies and 2 other surgeries on the same breast no Mx. The nerve pain started during radiation it is my right breast under and to the right. Any exercise makes it worse. I am thinking about contacting the surgeon and asking him about an Mx. He said he would "discuss" it with me.. I am out of ideas on what to do and it will be 2 years since radiation next month. I am only walking for 8 minutes, with hands in my pockets to slow the movement.. it isn't working... Sorry, can you tell I'm frustrated today - Anyone know of any way I can get Lyrica for not so much price... The pain doc gave me samples, but he doesn't get many, so will have to start buying it. With all my other new med issues, I haven't added that one, but today with the pain I am feeling I think tonight is the night I will start.
I will stfu now - sorry again for my rant....

Gma..have you tried calling the Manufacturer to see if they havens "access to care program"...,if you qualify you can get your Meds free......my sil's mother gets all hers t no charge......most Pharma companies have that type of program....check it out......also if you go not qualify because your income is too high, they many times will tell you of other ways to get your meds......old luck.....

My stfu moment of the day: I met with the financial planner of my kids trusts ( from my Dad's estate) at a Starbucks close-ish to where I live. Backed into a not clearly marked spot next to an orange metallic Chevrolet - not sure what its called but it resembles a hearse. VERY carefully opened my door to the first 'click', wasn't even close to touching the pumpkin next to me so I proceeded to open my door all the way. The car I was driving is very low so it helped to get out to have the door open all the way- even then it didn't touch the car next to me. So I rise out of the car I was driving, the metal from my purse clunked on MY car. The old bat driving the orange hearse proceeded to screech, "you HIT my car!" To which I stood my ground and said, " I did NO such thing! It was my purse hitting MY car!" Her ( I assume) son gets out of the passenger seat to come inspect the alleged damage to her p.o.s. while she's shrilling, as she grabs her cell- I'm calling the police/911. I said go ahead! They can document your harassing me and substantiate my claims when I have YOU charged for assaulting me! Ultimately that insane couple drove off leaving me and the guy sitting at the bistro table outside of Starbucks shaking our heads.

OMG -- crazy people -- ugh -- thank you all for hair compliments -- I just realized I kinda look like my avatar chick with the spikes -- lol.
Miss Pie Lady.... FMLA sucks -- I lost my paycheck at my lawfirm and I am trying to get SS disability now and LTD, but neither kick in for over 3 months or longer - ugh...... I kinda feel like I have worked all my life and when you need a little assistance, no one is there for you. My health insurance costs about $2000 a month for an individual plan -- and my boss is getting anxious I understand as to when I might be back permanently -- well hmmmmm.... if the chemo goes like it did the first round and then radiation... I might not be looking at work until Sept/Oct... I am so afraid that he will pull the plug on my insurance, then what? Good Lord, sometimes this cancer stuff just SUCKS.

I tried to go shopping today too...heres what happened. Went to an antique mall where they have a little bit of everything. Dh and I met my sister there. Said sister finds a necklace that she wants. So she tries it on and is walking around the store with it around her neck with the tag hanging off. The security guy starts following us around the store. She is oblivious to that fact, so I say Lin, take the necklace off and carry it unless you want this guy to walk through all these isles with us. So she does. He quits following us. A couple minutes later dh kicks this pile of mirrors that are stacked against the wall. They all fall over, but miraculously(sp) none of them break, but it makes a huge crash. Who shows up again? You guessed it. Same security guard. Doesnt say a word, just looks at us. I decide its time to go...next time Im taking my 3 year old grand-son with me

Well, I called two docs this morning and being I have samples of lyrica, pain doc said to start on the 50 mg 3x a day with the gabapentin.. I laughed and said I will take one first know my sensitivities. The nurse said it was probably a good idea. I have an appt with him next week but in pain now. We will take the first one at bedtime.. I have tried with other meds with Pfizer and they denied me.

GMA thank you for helping me. I am sorry about the nerve pain. What did the DR say as a plan of action to help you. Maybe the radiologist/oncologist could shed some light. They do have oncology rehabilitation exercise specialist maybe they could have ideas to help with the pain/exercise. I just hate it when they do not have answers. They wouldn't want to live like this. Please rant when ever you want to... Sorry to have brought the frustration out.
Ladies will you please pray for me to calm down and STFU about my upcoming surgery. OMG I have so much anxiety it's like this date is hanging over my head. Plus it sucks so much to know too much!!! I feel like I have a PowerPoint slide show of every step of the surgery and all of the possible complications. It's driving me nuts!! Ugh thanks for letting me rant

Stacey, I just learned a few moves with Qi Gong and one of the exercises is to belly breathe - I tell you it does calm the nerves... I will pray for peace and calm with your upcoming surgery. It is so hard to just let it go and realize that there is someone looking after you and is in control... my favorite image is in my signature: Imagine God in His HUGE rocking chair, rocking you and saying, "It will be ok, you can do it. I will be right here for you". You CAN DO IT!!!
I have been dealing with this nerve pain for 2 years now and have found as much as I can and tried everything. Nothing so far has helped. The BS said to try the Lyrica before he will discuss the option to have a Mx.. So I'm now going to try the Lyrica - but I called him today to make an appt to talk about the pros and cons.

I just got back from shopping. No wild stories. I didn't knock anything over nor had security guards escorting me. I guess the rude people ran when they saw me coming. DH surprised me with my favorite wine when I came home. Now I'm just resting.

I went to see the stomach surgeon and everything is just fine.
I did tell him he had a shithead for a partner.he refused to give me the antibiotic s when my mouth was full of pus.And I also told him he had the personality of a rabbit.he did not say a word...the best news I heard was that the surgery was a total success.
1 down 2 more to go...I think I'm getting there.all I need now is those friggin teeth.
