YOU miss Phyllilostheranklebracelet!  You sound more like yourself!  Geez, I hardly recognized you with your new AVATAR!    Yes, I have a "punch-thing"..... That's exactly what it is!  A "punch-thing!"  I have an angel!  That's what we could have used on miss Sassy and her never-never-land-region!   I'm just sayin'.... I know it's there, but  ..... oh never mind.

A PAINT-BALL GUN?  Oh Good Lord!  Do the new neighbors KNOW?  Do it at night...  It doesn't have a laser-light on it, does it?  So you can shoot them at night, and they won't know.  Damn neighbors!   Aren't you still being monitored?

Wren!  Wow!  What a scary story!  I was always told not to stand in front of our screen door when there was lightning out!  That's when the screens  were metal... Oh wait!  The frame still IS!   Never-mind.

Alyson 1776, did u take pics. I've never been anywhere there sothat's a real treat to see (for me) nd brunch today with u'r Aunt how fun.

Excuse me Chevy if my choice of meds do not coinside with u'r choices and u look at me as a druggy, just like on the street, well the street has some good drugs but I don't get them there and when u eat the brownes in the pocket what do u think u are eating--oh good brownies--he who judges should not judge but check their own pockets, for thee who has pockets full of stolen eggs has no right to look down upon another. Oh I love the cat pic. My favs of course.

It's going to be hot today again WTF is going on I can't wait til I can wear my swets and flannels--I love to cuddle this sweaty weather is not conducive to cuddling, and I love when the fireplace is on and the whole house smells of cinnamon and pine cones and I still believe in Santa Clause, only he looks like--well I'll find his picture cuz he's just for me.

Yes a real horror story, and I only told a small part....and no pictures......the metal plate was actually sticking out of her elbow in the picture......could not believe what I was looking at when my grandson showed me.........right now she can not straighten her arm completely....thus the re-hab.......because of the skin removal from her hip, she has to walk with a cane.....at least for now.

It is just fortunate she fell toward the lawn, and not toward the house....had she, she would have hit concrete steps, and probably her head.....so as bad as it is.....it could have been worse.......

Also I thought Shell said her husband broke his "elbow".........not his "arm".........huge difference..........an arm is 6 weeks.......an elbow not treated by "the best" could have a totally different outcome...............broken arm.....6/8 wks in a cast........broken elbow....well you just read the story, and 6 wks is long gone, and it is not over yet.....

Even worse it was her right arm.....she is right handed.............my grandson moved her from her small town farm home to their apt, and it is a 1BR..........he is sleeping on an air mattress.......they gave up the bed to her............he is an amazing 28 year old, and they are married only 4 months......by the way.....she is one of 14 kids.....her Mom was Irish Catholic.......need I say more...lol

I'm sorry..... Shell's post was on the page before, and I was afraid to go back to check out if it was the "arm" or the "elbow."   I guess it was the circumstances of how it happened, that got to me.

And Cammi!  Yes....  Your post just made me crack up!   I am ready for Winter too!    By the by..... I've never had what you had.... as far as the Brownies!   I made some Peanut Butter Banana Brownies the other day.  Actually I don't know what they are..... I had a little packet of Peanut Butter Cookie mix, and I mashed up 2 bananas, added chopped walnuts, and baked them in a little baking dish.  REALLY good, but not a "cookie".... I even sprinkled that "natural" sugar on the top, (Turbinado?)  and  whatever it was, was good!

WHAT kind of BROWNIES are YOU talking about???  Eh?  (I love your Mr. Clause!)  Wink

Update. No answers yet. Vulva bx was on thursday. I''ll try and pick the results up monday. Cape canaveral gave me a problem the last time several years ago when I tried to pick up a record. They were not complying with the law. So I anticipate a battle. But I have a plan. Which is sitting in the CEO's office until they comply with the law.

The thyroid ultrasound was done friday @ Parrish. I'll pick that up monday morning before I go to Cape Canaveral. Parrish always complies with the law. There will be no problem. The request is made. Picture ID shown and form signed. Pleasantries exchanged. Done.

This is dejavu Jan23 2009. I was dx'd with BC and told I had a brain tumor the same day. Except on Jan 23rd I told my boss of the brain tumor. I was relieved of duty. I never worked after that. So, two tumors and career loss in one day is some kind of record. Bizarre. Hard to believe it true. Honesty is not the best policy. I was very naive.

I can sit. The local injection for the bx is as bad as the tracer injection under the nipple. White knuckles.

Lesson learned(UGH always lessons). I had a ARNP gyn exam in Jan. 6th. I went b/c of pigment changes. She noted the pigment changes, but apparently didn't recognize the significance of the pigment changes. Told me to follow up if I had any problems. No imperative aroused by ARNP, so I didn't worry. The Derm doc. immediately said a biopsy was needed. So, lesson is __Have a vulva and butt exam as part of yearly dermatology head to toe. Seems it's a logical thing now, but was done only by request this time.

Hey Chev.......agree with you about the way shit happens.....never had much sympathy for people who get hurt because of over doing something....,,,how ever just having seen what I saw thought....ok, say something, or Shell is going to be in deep trouble playing Nurse to the wounded....,,lol.............like she needs this.......

The Dr (the good one) told my grandson that broken knees, and elbows are the most difficult to repair........he said the shatter.........even put it above Heart surgery........

Shells, how perfect for you. Remember when I said your skill set would be of value. With the admission to hospice while in the hospital, your extensive knowledge of how the hospital works will translate to a smoother transition. I hope it's a different hospital? It just sounds like a made in heaven job for you SOOOHappy for you.  Sorry about H, I know you're pissed at him. BTW wish you were my ARNP in Jan. for initial exam. My sense of it is, I wouldn't be in such a serious situation now. 8 months for something like this is a huge amount of time to loose. Derm doc kept talking about melanoma

While talking about HOOHA's This story was in Readers Digest years ago.

This woman rushes home to get ready for her yearly Gyn exam. Showers. Sprays with a feminine hygiene spray. Off to exam. During the exam the doc says "You didn't need to get dressed up for me" She's perplexed, but didn't ask what he meant. When she got home she checked the spray can. It wasn't her feminine hygiene spary. It was her daughters "Sparkle Spray" :)

Congrats on your new job, shells. Sparkle spray? That reminds me of the time ds was very small and had an allerigic reaction to something on his legs. middle of the night I wake up and had forgotten to put the antibiotic cream on his legs so grabbed it out of the bathroom and spread it Thouroughly on his legs and went back to bed. Morning comes and he comes running in and says Mommy, somebody spread toothpaste all over my legs while I was sleeping, do you think it was the tooth fairy?Surprised

    Mary that is so cute.

Well sparkle spray is something I'm sure Chevy knows all about, I know nothing, just like she pretnds to know nothing about the special brownies and they aren't sprayed Chevy, they are filled. Hmmmm

Boy Sas u do have organization with all these Drs., but u know what u'r talking about, I push sometimes and they ask what do u base this on, my usual answer is the Readers Digest so they don't take it very seriously cuz I don't remember any name of anything. Oh U informed people are wonderful, cuz we can use that brain of u'rs. It's funny about telling people about cancer when I first learned and knew what was going on I told my 3 best friends at work, one being my boss. and they laughed at me and didn't believe me and I was like why would I make this up?, Maybe cuz I don't talk about it seriously--so I said Ok fine I don't have it. Well I had Mondays off and did everyghing on Mondays but I was getting chemo first and in no time I didn't have any hair and they're like what's going on? And I said I told u I had cancer-they got hysterical with sadness but I was fine, of course then i started taking sick days and they'd call me when I was home and when I got chemo and they were a PITA except they sent food over all the time and and came by to do something if I needed it whatever. But the whole scenario was so funny--I even brought my x-rays in haha and they thought it was ajoke cuz I had 2 and my girlfriend say Oh no one could have a lump the size of a grapefruit. That was so stupid--And they are still my best friends--I should have eliminated them but Whe my boss had Mono she came to work and I thought Oh I'll catch it to but I'll stay home (not when I had cancer) so I kissed her right on the mouth and did what the french do and never caught it. Damn I had a good immune system then. So u see these are friends. hahaha

Thank you all so much for your kind words about new job.

LMAO ROFL at the sparkle gel and toothpaste antiobiotic! Just love coming here for a good laugh.             And S's-Mom, "Right up My Palm Tree," Good One!

Yes, "D"H broke his elbow, had a plate and screws inserted in the OR, ortho surgeon called me right after procedure and asked, do you want to come pick him up or have us keep him overnight?... I sweetly said that his pain would be better managed at the hospital (otherwise I might break the other elbow), so I had quiet time at home Friday night. I miss having alone time, it's so therapeutic.

Ortho surgeon is excellent, he did my mom's carpal tunnel and my dad's total knee replacement - I trust him completely, but thanks Ducks for the head's up.

Sassy - duh about the vulvar biopsy - continued unexplained vulvar itching, especially after menopause age, should always be biopsied -  your NP should have known. Pls let us know the bx results.

Have been thinking about Veggy, Dwilli and Mary.                                                                                      Dwilli - where are you, you little FF? (remember now, fartface is my special term of endearment).

Shell good thing he stayed in the hopital for the pain, it's so hard taking care of husbands at home with pain, u want to shoot them. At least at the hospital he was safe. How's he doing now?

And yes Chevy at least I was kind enough to have a picture that was cute instead of a googy eye reflection of--no names mentioned. Ahem

SmileJust dropping in to say hi......Cammi, you really do a good job with your graphics now.  Love the bird.  Chevy is a great teacher....she is the one who taught me.  I do have a rather wacky way.....couldn't make it come out just like she told me, but it works.  Hope you all have a fantastic day.

    Lilli

p.s.  I could have made the picture bigger....but it likely would have filled the whole screen.

So Shells!  Just ask if you can have a standing reservation in the hospital for DH!  Geez!  Just glad you didn't slam-dunk him on the other elbow.  Next time try his head!  Knock some sense into him.....    Probably wouldn't work.  Wink

I know what you mean about the "alone" time.  I get some..... I get about 2 hours a day.  Yep!  And maybe a little more, if you count me getting up at the crack of dawn before he wakes up....  It's like our brain turns back on "us"....(my time) instead of being on-call for whatever.

Lilli, never worry about how big the pictures are.... WE don't, Ha!  Especially Cammi.... but she has sort of mastered the art of posting pictures....  much to her chagrin.
