Happy I'm crackin up here wondering about all this deletion. I don't even know if that's word, but it is now.

Holeinone tell u'r onc great news only, cuz that's what u deserve.

I start again on anti-b this week, I don't have a clue why hahaha, they prescribe and I just take it. My sister always yells at me, cuz I don't know what is going on and she pays total attention to her Onc and everyone else she sees, I think she quotes them. And all I say is it's all medical words whatever--and then she goes off on me and I laugh at her everytime we do the dance.

Cami, late nighter, me too...did you post about having a Coors ? I am looking forward to a Coors light, I gave up beer & wine during my chemo, but that is behind me and the holidays are coming up. Dancing is a great way to handle the B chit of this dreadful disease. I hope the se of the antibiotics don't mess with your soft toe, waltz, jitterbug, line dancing or swing...sleep well..

I'm up too! I love to dance! Had a " Kiss my Boobs Goodbye" party and went dancing the Saturday before my Mx! Dancing solves a lot of problems and a lot of nervous energy!

Cami. Ugh. More Auntie B's? Hope they do the trick and don't mess more with your sensitive tummy.

Okay I will take a different approach.

Ultrasound at different frequencies produces different things. First research began in the 40's. Ultra high frequency ultrasound produces heat. The heat kills what it touches. It burns. This research has been going on for decades. It's application in Europe and China is at a far advanced stage than here in USA

Radiofrequency Abalation is similar in that at high frequency it produces heat. The heat kills what it touches. It was researched first at the Karolinska Institute in the early 90 to middle 90's. It is being used in the USA for treatment in approved FDA use for an extensive amount of procedures. Research continues to advance it's use to other applications.

Cyrotherapy- is using a probe that freezes a tissue or nerve----what is different about cyro therapy is even though the actual tissue killing is the same as RFA and HFMRIUS i.e burn,  it is more localized to the probe site. It's application is under research for expansion to other sites than what has already been approved by the FDA

The media is reporting the ultrasound high frequency as a new breakthrough. It's not.  Overseas, it's been used for awhile. I can't say exact number of years. BUT it isn't new.

Because of the stringent FDA rules, a new device or procedure has to undergo  extensive clinical testing. But the discussion several hundred pages ago re: candleing shows that the FDA, and other agencies NIH/NCCAM can obfuscate results.

Prior to my research on candleing, I would have stood a 100% behind FDA, and NIH/NCCAM results and recommendations. But the Candleing  search showed bias. A Bias in one situation causes a bias in another situation to be of question.

Good luck with the onc tomorrow! I wish it were cold outside here! 72 the rest off the week and humid. Laying here with the fans on. Also explains why not asleep yet!

I like to dance also 4444, but I am not a good dancer, I am very athletic, even at 58, still compete in tennis & golf ( or I did before this major bump in the road ) but I was born with no rhythm....I love to watch comtempory professional dancers...I got to see the San Francisco Ballet in the summer of 2012...it was so moving...

Hi Chickie. How's John? Glad to hear he is healing well. Mine is laying next to me snoring but will be tossing and turning in no time too! He is still in a sling and just can't get comfy. Hurts too and pills don't help much for pain, just whack him out. PT kicked his butt today so maybe he won't toss too much.

I'm tired too. My ody is happy to stop, it's my mind and the heat keeping me up. Might go turn on the AC.

Hey Sas, hope the scan went well and the doc has boring news for you today.

Ha, I never said I was a good dancer! I have good rhythm but not an athletic bone in my body! Used to be a good swimmer but that's about it! Fortunately kids all have good rhythm and 3 of them dance. The forth dances but won't do the cases and recitals.

Ok, old research, new stuff, what I don't get is how does this take care of anything but the actual tumor bed? I don't watch the news, too depressing! I have not looked it up yet either, but how does burning or freezing a certain spot take care of anything that escaped?

I just want a cure for those of us that had it and a vaccine so nobody else gets it!

**ok, editing to make sure I didnt upset anything when I didn't mean to. I think it's great when something can be picked up again and new ideas or new technology can take it further. New ideas are awesome too. Strange things happen and who knows what weird thing might finally be the answer!

Hey Golf girl Lol,  retired nurse----It's like the phrase about the soldier..---------love to hear about your golf and tennis. Ah the ballet. Did a Ballet stretching exercise early in Aug/Sept. OHHHHNOOOOOO it set me back in my get it together mind /body/health routine.  Bummer. Screwed up lumbar and on and on. La de da. Then went on to have  3 falls related to the dogs---wet ceramic, grass covered hole in the ground, and change in  self established rule about moving into a room. Really, now I try not to step in any direction without looking where the dogs are. Two 75 pounders that move in at a moments notice to lay at my feet. Last time I fell over Schatzi, she licked my face for ever so long.

$$$$$4444444444, no treatment is perfect. The new treatments are already being used in sx's  during bx and or mx.. Just have to be where it's happening. When I had my brain sx. I searched the internet-----found it------found the closest hospitals, went through the approval process b/c no one was doing it except for a few places in the state. Yet base of the brain sx was started in 1994. It still bothers me that Apple may have benefited from the sx. and may not have been told about it. I wasn't told about it. When I asked my MO, he said he'd never heard of it. My neurosurgeon locally could have put in the list of options in 2009--didn't

    I've been surprised---off to bed :)

Oooohhhhhh miss Sassypants! All I see with your posts is ....... nothing. WTH is everyone getting in such a frenzy about? If it isn't there, I can't see it, so I think therefore it didn't happen. I'm the first one up.... which means I am the boss of this thread.

Now I am the moderator for the Moderators...... If you kids can't get along, you have to go to your room! And no TV or Cell phones!

Okay, so I have a UTI...... so the story goes.... let's talk about this for awhile...... "SHE" called me late yesterday afternoon.... I said, "but how do you know?" Because I was oblivious to any symptoms... She said it shows up in that urine test you left... I keep saying to myself.... I must be sick.... somewhere.... but why don't I feel it somewhere? Well, my thumb hurts.... maybe that's it. I thought of telling her STFU, but wouldn't have made any infection go away.

So I pick up the prescription...s today. One for Cipro, and the other salve for my hands... So see? I'm sick too..... and don't even know it.

It is 10 degrees BELOW 0 here.... That means there is no temp, doesn't it? When you walk out there, it crunches, and it freezes your nose hairs!

Must wait until it gets up to at least 15 to venture out to Super Walmart... "home".... xoxoxoxoxoxo

Good Morning Hooiles-- And Chevy I ws up ;ast night and I don 't knoe what happened here, someone must know but alas we don't Oh well.

Chickieboomboom sounds like this is all good for u'r DH, I know it's going t take time, but I hope being patient will do the trick, Are u still doing the drops all the time? U must be exhausted too. Take care of u'rself whenever u can.,

Ahah Now I know what Holeinone stands for---My mind wanders.GOLF u must love it. There are a few golfer on these threads I think it's great, good exercise and getting out--Of course I've never done it but it sounds nice.

Hey Chevy good thing they caught that bugger before it got worse, when I was young and got one I felt it right away now, there are no symptems til it's horrible, don't understand that. Well the bad news is neither one of us can drink hahaha like we do.I haven't had a drink in forever, but as soon as I'm on an antibi--I want a drink. OOHH this is my excitement.

OK stupid stuff here read past it if u know I'm crazy and don't wnt the exposure. Here goes, fair warning .Years ago I read a lot--all the time I used to red nonfiction and read a book about the sleeping Prophet Edgar Cayce and it was interesting true or not interesting. And at one point in one of the books he talks about cancer and said there will be a cure but many years away and it  will be something that has been around but no one will know of it value and it won't be that difficult as people think and wonder why it wasn't brought forward earlier, but it won't happen for a long long time.I still remember that, as silly as it sounds, it doesn't sound so silly sometimes.

My dear little Cammi.... Yes, there ARE a lot more ways they can help us than there ever were... I don't believe there is any conspiracy..... It just takes tons of money, and research, and eventually things come out that HELP us... I was helped with the MammoSite device... just for one example... Different types of chemo are always coming out.

We are ALL different... I just heard that NOW there is a certain test, to see if a woman has this certain "gene" that pre-disposes her to "strokes" if she has this gene and takes Tamoxifen. The strokes usually occur in her brain-stem, near the auditory nerve, causing deafness.... or sometimes worse. The Tamoxifen causes this to happen in these certain women with this type of gene.

Also, NOW they know to treat women with chemo/radiation beFORE surgery, and then maybe after surgery! The Doctor we used to have did this! She is maybe 7 years out now! So there ARE advances... We are being helped.... but sometimes that isn't enough. I believe the key, for me anyway, was finding the breast cancer when it was small enough before it caused any more problems! We never felt it... But the annual Mammogram found it...

I don't know what the answer is... I don't think there would ever be a "shot"...... but maybe like the Polio shot, there WILL be! "They" can help so many diseases, but preventing them is something else.

And so what are you doing up, little one? No.... you don't sound silly..... you silly goose... I mean chicken! xoxoxoxo

Oooohhhhh.... we bumped! Yes! DAMN cold here! You played Volley-ball? I loved .... wait, what was that called, where 2 teams are on opposite sides of the gym, and you throw this ball at each other, trying to knock someone out??? Sounds kind of barbaric now, but it was so fun! They called me Mighty Mouse, because I was so good at it.... also Powerhouse! Ha, ha! I could kick their butts! I was the smallest one in the class... But I was mighty.

NOW it is 14 below 0...... WTH? It's going backwards! Cammi, you know one time, us kids in the neighborhood all pulled our hoses across the street, and we had built an ice rink in this vacant lot! We banked it with dirt.... so when the weather got COLD, we turned on all our hoses, and filled the "ice-rink" and skated on it! Ha, ha!

We were ingenious! And we would go skate on all the lakes around here.... I was the WORST ice skater.... My ankles were made of rubber. I could ROLLER skate, but NOT ice skate... I was a flop. Now I just "skate" on all the ice around here! SnoozeSnooze A person must be careful... and wear boots.... not high heels like I usually do!

I Chevy was it dodgeball, actully that was brutal sometimes-- It's funny how we talk and I picture u very tall and thin--u just sound tall and u just said u were tiny but mighty. I believe that, my sister is small but always had strength, well not now so much but always was much stronger than me. U were tough I never played dodgeball, I was afraid of the ball, well even in volleyball when someone spiked it I was known to duck as the whole team did that I said I played never said my team was great. We actually had a sponser that paid for our season--Poor guy he was on the loosing team every year. But we had so much fun.
