I love all the pictures.  It's good to see all the pups being spoiled.

I'm still worried about Tank.  This morning he ate half his new kibble (mixed with the old kind) with white rice and chicken on top.  But I can tell his stomach is still bothering him.  He had diarrhea again yesterday.  I really think he still misses Maggie and he's lonely, even with me at home most of the time.  I really don't want to adopt my brother's yellow lab.  Just don't want another big dog.  We are thinking about a blue heeler puppy or rescue dog.  Tim's daughter has a beautiful pair that she breeds once a year, but she just had a baby and I doubt she'll breed them this year.  I tried looking at rescue border collies on line and just burst into tears.  I miss my Maggie.

I've got lots of room for a heeler and I'm home most days to keep her busy ... and the upper acre of our property is fenced, which is great.  Also a heeler would keep Tank busy too.

Just some thoughts ... not sure what to do at this point.

    hugs

    Bren

I'm so sorry Bren, that Tankis still hurting. Makes you hurt too. I know. Jack's best buddy is a red Border Collie named Riley. Rescue. Hope this pic makes you smile, not cry. Thinking of you.

Dozer thinks he is a lap dog still. Couldn't be much closer to me.

Bren, if Tank was mine, I'd call the vet, and take him in. Could be a lot of things, or nothing.

As for a new dog, that's a personal decision. I usually try to wait a few months, so the raw feelings settle down to numb. It's hard.

Thanks for the advice Spookie!  Tank is doing so much better today.  He's been eating his chicken and rice along with a little kibble.  No more diarrhea ... Yay!  He's got regular poops now and he's not eating grass.  I am so relieved.  If he had not improved by today, I was going to take him to the vets.

Bella is so cute and so is Dozer!  Dozer is a big boy and he takes up a lot of room on the couch.  I had a black retriever that was about 100 lbs and he always wanted to sit on the loveseat next to me.  I was usually squished in the corner!  I never taught Tank how to jump up on the furniture, so he sits at our feet so we can rub his belly with our feet while he's laying down.

Jackbirdie ... love the pic!  Your Jack and Riley are adorable.  Your border collie didn't make me sad ... just happy to see such a beautiful dog.

Haven't decided on another dog.  Taking Spookie's advice and waiting a bit.  If we were to get a heeler, it wouldn't be until next fall anyway when the puppies were born ... unless I found a rescue I couldn't resist before then.

    hugs

    Bren

So glad Tank is feeling better!

Jack's buddy the red Border Collie Riley is my friend's dog. They have lived together temporarily at times and know each other well. Jack likes to clean Riley's teeth!! Gross!

But I only have room in my house (600sf) and my heart for one. Jack is my true 💓🐾 who always cheers me up on Oregon 💦☔️💓.

Happy Mother's Day tomorrow to all those who are Mothers, had Mothers, and the lucky ones who still have them.

Hope everybody gets to celebrate and remember the right way for them this special day

I actually slept in until 9 am. I have not slept that late in a few weeks. I am suprised my dogs did not start a ruckus at 7 am. They are now watching the cooking show which translates into watching my husband cook breakfast. LOL.

    Hi Gals,

Hope everyone's furbabies are doing well.  Tank is feeling so much better ... and he's looking good too.  I think the new Buffalo Blue dogfood is really helping with his coat too.  He needed to lose a few pounds and this dogfood is helping with that too.  Plus, he always used to eat the food left in Maggie's bowl (she never ate too much) and with her gone, he's not getting those leftovers anymore.

    hugs

    Bren

OMG .. that cartoon is hilarious.  That's how it used to be at our house.  One huge dog, two small dogs and two cats on the bed.  It was outrageous and I used to run and jump into the bed to get there first and grab my spot.  I'm glad I haven't taught Tank how to get on the bed or couch.  It really is nice not sleeping with all the pets.  When I babysit my sister's dogs, all three of them sleep with me!  Ha!  The little one Don Diego (in my avatar picture) sleeps on my pillow!

I'm in a rush now, but I want to share with you guys how my sis and I got her little wire-haired weiner dog Don Diego.  It's an amazing story!

    hugs

Ok ladies, any ideas on how to calm Dozer down when company arrives - if I hold him back he gets more agitated - but if I let him go up to them he barks and jumps up (not on them just in front of them) - one time - then is fine. It scares people and I really want him to stop. Getting frustrated with this. Does the same on a leash with dogs or deer.
