Stella deciding to chill out in the sun......LOL

Our young dog did that too. We just kept exposing him to people, other dogs and different situations. He doesn't ride well in the car (always gets sick), but we would still take him to Petsmart to get him used to a lot of people and other animals. I found repetition helped him. Hopefully some great dog trainer will come along with some good tips!!
Stella is so cute Ducky. Bulldogs have so much character in their faces. I wish they would get her seisures under control.

Stella is so cute,,, I hope her seizure free period keeps going and going,,,,Gma: I don't really have advice for you about Dozer. What if you warn people that he will do that, so they will not be alarmed and remain calm? Doesn't stop him, of course, but at least your visitors won't be alarmed.

Don't you love how dogs look you right in the eyes with such love?? They really do adore their humans. Great photos Ducky.

That is the reason why my daughter won't be down the shore this season........she is afraid if STella has cluster seizures she won't get her to the Vet fast enought.....it is 1/2 hour away.........in another town from us.........Cape May Court House....only 24 hour one down there.........I am really sad this daughter won't be coming down...........

Glennie, I think what I will do is have one of our friends come up and was told when he does that to turn to the side and/or give him a knee in the chest. He won't do it to us but he is like - testing his boundaries - with others? My daughter-in-law who has vet tech background and trains animals as a hobby has suggested this. Just get people to come up and socialize him and who isn't afraid to help.
Dozer is missing daddy these last couple of weeks. Lays on his bed, looking out the sunroom window waiting for him to come home.. I have started taking him for a walk around our property with his no-pull harness. He is starting to respond to my jerks on the harness - we walked around the outside of the house 2 times and only pulled in one area. Wasn't pulling by the end of the walk. Here he is enjoying the sun a couple of weeks ago.
This is his time-out spot when he barks at the deer. He goes to the stairs and sits while I work. LOL.

Dozer looks like a STRONG boy.

Dozer is adorable and it sounds like he is responding to training very well. He just needs some lessons with greeting new people and if you can enlist some help, sounds like that would work.0 -

Poor Stella had 5 seizures last night....my daughter text me to tell me........she had to be rushed ot the vets and they kept her overnight.......she is not home yet..........she went 23 days without any, and last night it happened again.....so sad.....
This is her after seizure #4........after #5 the emergency vet said "bring her in".

I am so sorry about Stella, Ducky. Thinking if you both

That's awful Ducky. I wish the vets could get her medication worked out. It's got to be so frustrating for the whole family.

So sorry to hear about the seizures...

Here are 2 of my comforts...my dog Ripley and my cat, MIster Xander.

Poor Stella. Any word from the vet yet?0 -
Well she is finally home.......my daughter talked to the Vet and the vet said "this is not normal".......my daughter asked about an MRI of her brain which had been suggested a while back, and the vet said "I think it is going to come back normal"............she is very young for a brain tumor.....only a little over 1........and the vet says that usually happens in older dogs.
So right now we are stumped.
The Vet also said.......usually Pheno does the trick and her dose is high.....plus she is on a 2nd drug and still having seizues.......
Here she is laying with my grandson. Sean.....
Ok, LMAO....that is my grandaughter Makayla.........good Lord, thank heavens she didn't hear that comment.......when the picture got bigger I realized it was her, and not her brother......OMG.....lo

Presenting Milo Wigglesworth....
My new bunny. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm taking advantage of the fact that since my diagnosis my husband says yes to everything I ask for. And so, my new bunny!

I hate hearing about an animal suffering. It's got to be so hard on them all.
WW, good thinking asking for what you want when the getting is good!! haha That bunny is so adorable. I just love the name you picked out!!

Milo W is adorable! Pulling the card on your own husband! Tsk tsk.

He is a cutie! I've never had a rabbit, does he have free run in the house? How/do they house train?
0 -
SpookiesMom - He could have the entire house except that I also have 2 dogs and 3 cats and so he has my office. I also have an outdoor playpen for him. Rabbits use a liter box. He seems to be catching on. The only weird thing is that rabbits like to spend a lot of time sitting in their litter box for no particular reason. He hangs out there.

Interesting! Learn something new every day. DH doesn't like cats, so I'm sure I couldn't have a bunny. Don't know what my 2 dogs would think.
