Noooo, don't say that they lost the test.  ***thinking good thoughts****  Hoping you will hear later today.

    Hoping Princess is feeling better.

Going to hop on my anti-PETA soapbox one more time, cuz this Huff Post article popped up on my FB feed.  Read if you want,, but be aware they quote the numbers of all the animals that they put down. It makes me so angry. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/26/peta-shelter-virginia-bill-sb-1381_n_6942866.html

Off to the eye doctor today.  Back later.  **waving**

Good luck at eye doctor Glennie. Do you wear specs? I need to more and more. Another quirk of aging I reckon. Not going to complain, considering the alternative.

Does anyone remember the Bugs Bunny cartoon with the bulldog Spike and his little friend that kept bouncing around him, until Spike had enough of him and swatted him one? That is Diva and Teddy. Lol.

Rainy day here today. Good day to clean the house...like there's ever a good day for that!! Lol. Instead I will make cheeseburger soup and bread for supper. Yum.

    Waving umbrella to everyone.

Awwww I wish Spookie would play. She growls at Kris, he's like, whatever, and seperate ends on the couch. But last night at the dog park she got a boy who wouldn't take her go aways. He wanted her ball, she wasn't budging. Kept trying to chase him away, he kept coming back. Made her crazy!! I was ROFLMAO, Kris was in a corner, watching. I have a dull life.

Eye appt excellent.  Have not had any "shooting stars" or ocular migraines for a year, so I'm now on a "as needed" basis. Can just follow up with regular eye doctor.   Yes, I need distance vision glasses,,, actually need new ones, but I haven't gotten around to doing that yet.

I remember Spike the Bulldog,,, I can just see Teddy and Diva like that.

Raining here too,,, waving umbrella also

ND, We're getting results next Friday, not today :(. I hope your people manage to do their jobs and report back.

Fla, Interesting. I know how fortunate I am to have a really good mastectomy store close by. They are looking for new digs as their site is being torn down to become a parking lot. I'm so afraid they'll go to Bellevue which requires a long drive around or a toll bridge which gets shut down for construction on weekends.

Sunny here today. Rain begins again tomorrow. Yesterday it got up to 70 and was gorgeous!

I've worn specs since 5th grade. First because I was nearsighted. Now I have 20/20 for distance and can't read without glasses. I'm curious if I'll still need them after cataract surgery.

Bobo... I hope our Princess is better today. and FFS *giggles* quit picking on my Fia! Poor woman... Geese are terrifying! And after all the effin painting she has had to do! I don't think you will ever be done Fia... I think geese are some of the meanest creatures out there! Glennie... I am glad your eyes are better. Andrea- welcome to the bad back club (BBC not to be confused with THE English BBC LOL). Zills, Spookie, ND, PBR, Wren, Idesim, Dawny, M- ((((hugs))))) to you all.

Thank you all for your love and support. Sailman just loaded up and headed back to Dallas. Another new doctor, this one a wound care specialist, put the wound vac back on and the puffiness and discoloration is worse today.

FFS! FFS! FFS! is exactly right. Glennie, I have sent you the pix via private message. We just don't know what to do. Dr. McHottie (PS) took the wound vac of Tuesday and just came into the picture with her skin graft surgery last Saturday. Dr. Trying to Save Her Life And Fix Someone Elses' Eff Up is amazing and has truly done his best with each subsequent surgery. 1st Surgeon is unknown or he would have had a serious @$$ whoopin by one pissed off Texas B1tch. Dr. Infection Control has tried everything he can... and now we have Dr. Wound Care Specialist... oh and there was the Internal Med Doctor... and her original doctor that convinced her this would so improve her quality of life... bastard... Crap on a Chapstick! Shouldn't SOMEONE in all of that be able to save her leg and heal her???? I know the diabetes doesn't help, but 7 surgeries in and months of IV antibiotics should have done the trick... and all because someone didn't wash their hands or clean her room good....

oh JSJ, I 'm so sorry that the infection seems to have returned.. this is just BS.. I agree with you, surely somebody or something should be able to save her leg, it would really just be a senseless loss... she has gone through so damn much. I want to say start calling around and see if anybody else can take a look at it, but for FFS there are already so many Drs. involved in this!

Fia, laughing because if Joe saw your offer, he'd want the friggin goose. Actually, we live on the edges of a bird reservation, so maybe your friendly neighborhood goose would be happy to live here :) I second your weight loss goal.... I read that and thought.. hmmm... does anything jiggle when I brush my teeth?

Wren, sorry you have to wait another friggin week.

That breast form sounds great, sounds like it's only available to Canadians :(

Glennie, glad your exam went well.

Page change.. too lazy to read back right now lol.

Rainy and raw here for second day in a row... but I guess it beats snow.. which, we are supposed to get some of tonight... sigh.

I am so sorry about Sailman's Mother, what a terrible time she's having with her leg.

Bobo how are you doing today and is the Princess OK?

Glennie, good for you with your eye test, mine is coming up.

Wren I have another "small world" story. I got a reminder to go for my eye test from the place I went to when I first arrived here. It has been sold and the new owner is the Husband of the woman who did my cataract surgery when I lived in the city. What are the chances of that? He is a Professor of Eye and Laser Surgery, he did the laser, on my cataract lens, to polish it up after my surgery. He is going to do my eye test on the 15th. My eye prescription has never changed,I have astigmatism and I do still wear glasses, after my cataract lens was replaced. I like everything to be really sharp, especially the computer writing, but I know others who don't wear glasses after the cataract surgery.

Fia, I bought a sonic toothbrush, nothing jiggles! LOL

I sure don't want to offend anyone here, but am I the only one who finds custom foobs, creepy? I have no problem with the generic foobs, but as soon as I have to look at a custom, it gives me the shivers, like it is a bit Frankenstein's monsterish! The first one I ever saw, was on Ebay, would you believe, it was sitting in a box and had veins and a small mole, yuck, yuck, I can't imagine why the seller assumed anyone would buy it. In saying all that, I am very glad they are available for those who want them, but I could never have one, in my FoobMoire. LOL

I remember Spike & Tyke, oh my, is that what they are like Andrea?

    Hugs to everyone!

Saturday morning here, must check out yard sales today...back later..M x

Checking in to see how Princess is, and JS, sorry that Sailman had to take off for Dallas, heart aches for all the trials your family is trudging through.

Well finally after mo're not so nice calls to cardiologist's office we got a call about 5 today and pretty good news, no abnormalities were found, follow up in 2 months and if he has any more symptoms come get an angiogram! A relief but still ticked it took so long, I asked the nurse if the doctors ever understand how hard waiting is and she so agreed and told me I WOULD be hearing results today she would page him till it happened! love her and I dont even know her.

nd, so pleased you have a Nurse who understands! I can't understand how they don't, all get, that the waiting is brutal.

ldesim, did I know, you hadn't ever been fitted? I don't think I knew that! says me, with the foob obsession! haha

I actually have never been to a fitter either, there aren't any around here that I know of and I have zero desire to drive into the big city. I also do not own one single mastectomy bra or a real foob. Our insurance does not cover that stuff and they seem unbelievably expensive to me. I wore padded bras before cancer, same ones after, until I got LE which makes the bra (especially underwires) uncomfortable. Now I mostly use very soft stretchy sport bras, with a couple of those foam pads in the pockets (for out in public) or not (at home). Or a stretchy tank or cami. I searched for those Valletta camis that everyone here seems to like, but they are so pricey! All I found were in the $30-50 range. For a cami?! I can't afford that.

Hi Jennie, the girls have moved back over, to the other thread. New and future flat sister with questions.

I understand what you mean about the things that are Mx specific, being very expensive, especially where I am. A Valletta camisole is around $85.00 here, which is why I buy all of mine from the US or on Ebay. I even buy my bras and forms from the US, because of the huge price difference.

I did much the same as you are doing, when I first had my surgery and I was researching what was available, but having a size "D" on the remaining side, made it almost impossible to wear the light knit bras etc, there just isn't enough support, for my remaining side and they can't take the weight, of a size 8 silicone form. I do wear crop top sports bras, with a weighted foam form sometimes, that I buy from Marika when they have a 40% off their clearance area and I can get a $60.00 bra for about $9.00.

I tried to hang on to my favorite bras. I just loved lingerie, I was hoping they would be useful again, once everything settled down, but they all had wires and after reading of a woman here who got a terrible infection when a wire pierced her chest and she was too numb to feel it, I gave them all away.

I am always surprised, when I hear of the disparity in your insurance companies over there. Some women have an allowance of thousands of dollars each year for anything Mx related and then others, nothing at all. We only get a form every 2 years and the government allowance of $400 each form, doesn't even cover it all. M x

Jennie, I'll have to find you the site for free knitted foobs. One of the girls on the forums sent me a set and I've been using them ever since, which is probably why I've been lazy about seeking a fitter. There is an organization of women who knit these for women and they are free... I book marked the site for future reference... . I'm just not sure what computer I did it on.
