Nahahi, YAY!!!!!! Im so happy for you and what an inspiration you are to newbies like me.  Im looking forward to being able to say the same one day.

I found out what went wrong at the pharmacy. My medicaid coverage had been terminated because the case worker that was suppose to recertify me had been out for four weeks.  I guess whomever took over her workload messed up.  Thank God it had only been a few days, I have appointments out the wazoo coming up.  Im going to see if they can resubmitt my script tomorrow as I went down to social services today and got it corrected.  Im good now for the next year, yay!  Still waiting for approval on stage two.  Lordy ladies, what a day!  And I missed yoga, my most fav exercise class!!!!! humph

Well, I thought I'd be a little more modest after I got nipples. But, no. A couple of weeks ago, the sutures had not dissolved as expected after phase two, so I had two of my nurse co-workers remove them (I couldn't see well enough to do it myself). They were extremely impressed with the new girls, couldn't believe how real they look and feel. Then, this past weekend, I offered my hairdresser a look.

And I've always referred to them as breasts. I guess because I was fortunate enough to never be without them. I went to sleep with breasts and woke up with breasts.

This might not be for everybody, but it's still cool video to watch.

Hi Deb!  Holy moly that is scary having a break in coverage! How long before the cobra kicks in?  Will they backdate for you?

Sweet...so glad to hear the med coverage has been sorted out! Good for you to make sure things got "righted"!!!!!!

debdylan....I don't know what "cobra" indicates, but it doesn't sound like a smooth transition! Mail Order drugs????

jeannie...you have completely understandable feelings, given the place you're at on your own personal journey. I believe that when you have been through the number of years that people like marty and I have been through, you might have a different perspective. I bet you'll get there, in your own timeline. I bet most of us "get there", one way or another. It might be happiness, it might be "acceptance", it might be by trying something "new"....I wonder what choices there will be for ladies in 20 years from now (please, dear lord, make the choice not even necessary)....but if it must be made....just think what might be the norm then!!!!!!

Believe me, Nihahi, I do think about twenty years from now ......with hope for my three daughters who may have to face breast cancer. It's an exciting time for research with the targeted therapies and work with T cells for cancers like Leukemia. It would be so great to have a cure! I just read that Dr. Susan Love, a renowned breast cancer doc who has her own foundation and who wrote The Breast Cancer Book, had leukemia last year. She had a bone marrow transplant. She now knows what her patients feel, facing cancer herself.

My oldest daughter and I were just talking tattoos. She has several, including a giant dragon with a pink ribbon in its mouth, on her back. I can never say anything bad about pink ribbons because I feel it would not show her respect for what she did to honor me. I told her if my nipples didn't work out then I would get flower tattoos. 🌸 I don't think I told her about the F U tattoo I may get on my ab scar.....Winking

Like everything else, I'll have to wait and see where my "head" is in a year or two regarding the tattoo...hopefully still attached!

Jeannie- My hubby has a full back tat of a mountain scene with wolves that is amazing.  I often tease him that I will keep that part of him and frame it if he goes before me.  I just realized how texas chainsaw massacre that sounds.....lol  My point though is tats can be beautiful and I think you would rock them! :)

I don't know, Nihahi! I haven't cooked all week, really, with DH gone. He will be home tonight for dinner, though.

As far as supper, there is half a leftover chicken from last night. So will rummage in the fridge and see what veggies I have for a stir fry to go with that, and maybe a salad of some kind.

Went to hot yoga this morning, and then had a strength training session immediately afterwards. My legs are still shaking, and I need a shower - lol.

Nihahi- congrats on 22 years. I passed my 11 yr mark a couple of weeks ago. My son was the only one who mentioned it. Everyone else has forgotten. Even my DH and it is on my calendar. Maybe that is how it should be.......in the past. It is such a part of me though. I will always have a glass of wine and toast to myself.

I am grateful also for skilled doctors. and all of my breast friends on BCO. I seriously don't know what I would have done with you and my NOLA thread. I never had many questions, because you were all there for me. As my one year is approaching I am thinking it is time to get my back end end in gear and get moving more. I have been moping for a while now and I don't know why. I need motivation and it just isn't coming from myself right now. Can you say- lack of energy?

Yay Jeannie- You sound great! I am so happy to hear this. Can't wait to meet you when I am in Seattle.

Casserole tonight- Chicken, green beans, French onion rings, tater tots. Comfort food! Yum!!

Not me Jeannie.....all I want to talk about is boobs, boobs, boobs..........Loopy lol....I'm kidding!

Dinner for me will be sushi at the sushi restaurant we like to eat at......raw tuna (Maguro) raw salmon (sake) and a cucumber/seaweed salad(sunomono)......I can't eat much of any of it, so today should be a negative calorie day for me......

Sun is peaking through the rain clouds, and we had a HUGE fir bough come down in our driveway from across the street, so the wind has been a little cantankerous today. I hope the worst of it has come and gone!

Gotta get busy, or at least look like I am!

    XO

movie....is this the "problematic" fir tree???? If so, losing a great bough, without any damage to your place, is a good thing, right????

    hmmm.....I thought sake came in a glass??????????Loopy

cherrie....your supper sounds like a real "mom's meal"!!!! With all the surgeries you've had, have you had your iron levels checked???? Maybe you are slightly anemic....could account how you're feeling perhaps? Better get moving though girl, as you will find out...Seattle has much to see, and the path to anywhere seems to include at least a couple good hills!!!!!

Welcome home, Colonel Nihahi! Thank you for your service over there!

My son and I are both USAF veterans. On Monday, Veteran's Day, we intend to take our DD214 discharge papers and eat at every restaurant offering free meals to veterans we can find.

THIS Veteran's Day, though, I intend to leap up on the table, rip open my blouse, Hulk-style, and screech "You wanna see battle scars? I'll show you battle scars!"

Well, maybe not. My son the lieutenant would wet his pants.
