A very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, lengthening light after the Solstice, and a most UN-crazy time for all here in "Cray-Ville."
Remember, the most common reason for bone scans "lighting up" is inflammation. My most recent mammo had to be technically rated BIRADS 3 because of the "short-interval follow up" (6 mos) advised to check on the size of the seroma; even though the radiologist said "benign" and "improving," for that stupid DX code she had to write 3 instead of 2. So may all of this Silent and Holy Night be calm and bright

And yet again the wait for pathology results and blood tests
When the last Herceptin dose (Nov 3) finally washed out of my system, I developed a rapidly spreading weird rash that oncology biopsied just before Christmas. Path from that was not conclusive, at least said is not breast cancer, but could be something else bad. Saw the hospital dermatologist today, young doc, has never seen this kind of rash before, but at least took two more biopsies for special stains, and a whole slew of blood tests. I had just barely calmed down and "learned to live with" my aggressive path breast cancer, and now this happens
I am just barely hanging on emotionally. Really really scared Should not have researched this on the net If even one more person says "we are never given more than we can handle, I'm going to lose it...0 -

tessu, i so understand, in the donut hole of waiting for tests and doc visits but, really want brto hit folks who tell me of folks with bad outcomes or who tell me that my job exposed me to Nast chemicals and so......

At least all appropriate tests are in progress. Trying very very hard to stay calm and focus on TODAY and THIS MOMENT. proudtospin yes taking lots of deep breaths. Thank you.
Also drinking a nice glass of red wine, maybe pouring myself a second. Have pretty much avoided alcohol because of that studt that said every single drink increases chance of bc relapse. Yup, going to pour that second glass now and veg out with Netflix then bedtime,

(((Tessu))) I don't blame you about the wine. Sometimes we have to do what we can to get through this day. I hope this just turns out to be some weird thing. Rashes can be hard to identify. I once had a rash on the back of my knee, and my dermatologist thought it was some unusual immune thing, and it turned out to be plain old eczema. It just didn't look like eczema usually looks.
Iris, what on earth is wrong with people that they tell stories like that? Do they not engage their brains? How do they think this is helping?

Tessu, I know we are given more than we can handle all of the time. My minister says that it's at these times we must rely on the support of others. While I don't disagree with that, I need to have a "pajama day", drink hot tea, binge tv or read. I've been given much more than I could handle many times.... including this very moment. It's miserable waiting for test results and answers, especially when we thought we were finally free and clear for procedures and tests.
My biopsy is scheduled for the afternoon of January 3rd. I've asked for a copy of the radiologist's report from my mammogram. I hate having this hang over my head. My DH is so sure everything is going to be fine; sometimes I just want to smack him up the side of the head.

that whole "we're never given more than we can handle" always struck me as the nadir of blithering idiocy. Of course we handle it. What's the alternative? (not entirely a rhetorical question, there, but I'd never recommend that, nor did I ever consider it myself)

Poppy in your pocket for the wait! Tests, yes, that too, but it's the waiting that's the crazymaking part for me.

I have my grandkids with me this week, so enjoying them, little time for anything else! They decided to test out the new toy dump truck DGS got for his birthday on my garden...we now have what they have named a 'Dirt Festival' going on!

I love the idea of a dirt Festival! It sounds like little guys getting down and Dirty!
Just back from a visit to my primary doc and we had good talk, she checked out my tummy scan but seemed pretty cool on it but wants me to check I with my cardiologist. Add another doc visit. Told her I was feeling light headed at rising and she told me she thought I was not eating right, so now I need to focus on getting my eating back on track. Gads!

WE have a mud fest here LOL - a culvert broke down the hill from us on the dirt road to get to our house. Fun fun. Hubby is head of our road association, so guess who got called when it broke....

my grand nephews wanted a dirt bike for Christmas. Dad said no, second choice was a some sort of rodent pet, mom said no rats in the house so they got a great trampoline, worked great on the great weather!

Fortunately, the grandkids kept the dirt festival mostly in the back yard: Otherwise it would have to compete with the legos on the floor inside! :-)

I thought so much about Beppy this weekend.....I hope and pray her family got through the holidays okay......I miss her and still find it had to believe she is no longer with us.....for me it won't be the same......but she would want us to go on as if she was still here..........love you Girlie....0

I think about Beppy and her family all of the time, too, Ducky.
One of my boys was so into construction vehicles and dirt, that we had a Tonka truck birthday party for him. We had a huge load of clean dirt delivered to the backyard and asked each child to bring a truck to join in the fun. They were three year olds and we wanted to make sure there were more than enough vehicles to share. We let the parents know what they were in for.... and it was fantastic! The kids were so dirty and having a blast. Oh, things were so simple then.

I miss her too. I was thinking about her family over the Christmas weekend. Poppy that dirt/truck party sounds fantastic. I love little boys. They are so much fun.
So our evening nurse accidentally left the hot water faucet on in our bathroom last night. It wasn't until DS (who lives in the basement) ran upstairs to tell us it was raining in the basement! Oh my gosh, it was so hot, humid and water everywhere! Thankfully most of the stuff that got wet in the basement was papers needing to be shredded and junk belonging to DH. What a night. I was up until 12:30 cleaning up and taking care of Wyatt who is now sick. At least he waited until after Christmas this time.

oh, Molly, I am so sorry to hear that Wyatt is sick again, and it sounds like you really need a break after a long night too. I wish I could rent a really nice hotel room, and invite all c-towners to come, because I really like Poppy's idea of a pajama day. We could just lounge around, eat good things, head off for naps or reading or massages whatever you felt like to restore you to feeling great. Can we?
I am sorry if I haven't returned any calls or messages, my phone is really acting wonky, and doesn't let me know for a day or two, whenever it decides. I guess it's on holiday.
Ducky, like you, I think of Beppy all the time. There is a big sucking hole where she used to be. I have sometimes resorted to going for a walk and talking to her, or looking at a flower or lights as if she was standing next to me, talking with her about things. I don't care if someone looks at me funny. I miss her too, but it seems she is kind of "here" somehow....
