    Hi gang,

I'm back from my dream trip to Australia and New Zealand. It was an epic adventure. I would urge any of you who are nervous about travelling to just do it. My last CT scan in October showed that things were stable so the time was now. Off we went, and I felt for this time maybe just maybe, I could live like I didn't have MBC. We walked, ate, drank wine, travelled on trains, bumpy buses, cruise ships and it was amazing. I was surprised by what I could do, and what I didn't have the energy to do. Oh and I ended up getting a UTI around week 4. Luckily I brought my antibiotics along with a small pharmacy of supplies for “just in case”...lol.

I love the Charlie Brown cartoon I saw recently where Charlie Brown says something like “we’re all dying someday” and Snoopy says “but today we’re alive”

Micmel, I admire your courage to be such a help for your father. You could have walked away but didn’t, that’s courage in my books. Yes it is a sad time, but you’re getting precious time with him too. You DH is a rock. What a kind man!

    Grannax, you look stunning.

Mae, can we cram into the bus for a road trip with you? Holy crap that looked fun!

For those of you struggling, whether it be side effects, progressions or the Crap from daily life....big hugs.

I have a CT scan tomorrow, wait until Thursday for results and then....

    Be well,

Pots that sounds like an amazing time. You give me hope that I can get to a stable point and go be adventurous as well :) positive thoughts for your CT scan

pots I've always dreamed of going to Australia. I can just imagine how beautiful it was.

I'm going to send more pics. I wish I knew how to send more than one at a time.

I'm feeling much better in regard to UTI, also the nausea from X is better today. Time to get out and run some important errands today. I finally have the money for phase 2 of my kitchen remodel. New quartz countertops and wood look tile floor. Done. It's been four months since I started this project.

I had a great time in NYC, in spite of a few obstacles. PTL

Donnabelle, my DH has learned that there is nothing scarier than seeing me walk around the house with a tape measure and/or paint chips. He backs away slowly and disappears, LOL.

Grannax, you look so beautiful in your NYC photos. Your runway escort looks pretty good too 😉

Hello everyone. I drop in almost every day to catch up. So many birthdays, so many rock stars. Grannax is hanging out with Jason Momoa! I shake my head in sadness over bad news and cheer for the good.

I am off to the doc today to start investigating why I've been coughing for 6 months. I am scared. I don't want to know.

runor Who's Jason Momoa? The only rock star that I know is Can Muhammad K from dancing with the stars. He was my escort and I can't even remember his last name. LOL

MRI results are good. Two tiny things we're watching, one might be effect of previous radiation and the other might be a blood vessel. Nothing new 😀, just check again in 2 months.

    Mae - great news!

Grannax, who is Jason Momoa? Oh my dear, you really must Google him. Get a long, cool drink, put your feet up and just have a look. (sigh)

He was there? At the Fashion show? How could I have missed HIM. But, that is the most ironic thing about me being with celebrities. Because I am not a celebrity watcher, don't know any names of recent stars, watch little TV, Don't watch Game of Thrones. My daughter is a huge fan of G of T. I'll have to ask if SHE saw him. Also, he's the same age as. My children, haha.

pots welcome back! your trip sounds amazing! i’m the same as you; i pack for the what if’s.

runor it seems as though everyone has had that cough. they said it can last for months. all of the kids at my daycare have been coughing; one of them coughed so hard they got sick. you are in my prayers.

mae what good news! it sounds as though the doctors are convinced that it’s nothing.

    Grannax,

Just wanted to tell you how fabulous and amazing you looked in your photos. I know who Jason Mamoa is because I am a big Game of Thrones fan...but I would rather spend time with you. You inspire me.

Hi everyone, catching up again. Belated happy birthday to Mae and Parry!! I hope you both celebrated. Parry I hope you have found some relief. Skin mets sound very painful. As Micmel says, I wish we could wave a wand and make everything horrible go away. Mae, hoping for good results from your scan. A couple of times, techs have sort of made me feel al is ok, but you still like to hear the Oncologist say it.

Mary Jane, sorry about your liver. Hope treatment does its job.

Donnabelle, Lynne and Claudia, its lovely to put faces to names. It somehow makes us all a bit closer. Grannax, you look like a movie star!! Sorry you suffered on your journey home. Take care and get better.

Micmel, you are doing a great job with your Dad, and bringing family closer together. What a stunner you were in a bikini!!

Boo boo, I hope you find your place in the sun. I love sunshine. Our weather here in Spain is lovely in daytime at the moment. I sunbathed a bit today in shorts on our upstairs terrace, but when the sun goes down, it drops really cold, but within a month, it will be much warmer. By the time we come back from Canada, we will be putting away our winter clothes and getting the summer gear out.

Love to Lynn (50s), Lynnwood, Rosie, Muddling, Gracie and anyone Imhabe misse

That photo of Grannax with that cute muscley guy made me think oh my god, she's hanging out with Jason Momoa. Mae's rocking out with Allan Parson's and Grannax is on Jason's arm (I know it's not Jason Momoa, but damn close!) and I'm here chopping wood and shovelling horse shit. Feeling NOT spectacular.

Just to add, I am a Game of Thrones fan too, but probably would walk past famous people and not recognise them.

Pots, amazing trip. Keep travelling as long as you can. Can't wait for our Canadian trip, but it's family time, not like exploring a whole continent.

    Night night

Mae, I am doing the happy dance for you MRI results. WOOHOO!

Pots, I hope the results of your CT are good. It's hard to wait so long to hear about them. It sounds like your trip is something many people only dream of. It makes me happy to hear that people are having fu in spite of mbc.

BooBoo, I hope you enjoyed your break from the cold weather. My son and his family have been in Aruba this week. I wanted to sneak into one of their suitcases. When will you be moving?

Gracie, I guess we tried to age you a bit too quickly. Happy unbirthday to you. When you have the results of your MRI?

MJ, I hope that Doxil treats you gently. Of course, I also hope that you are able to have Y-90 again. How many of your family members will be joining you on the Disney trip? I am sure everyone will have a blast.

Muddling and Donnabelle, it is amazing how many things we find for our dhs to do. I think that my dh secretly loves having me think of projects for him to do. Yesterday he installed a new toilet and a new kitchen faucet. Now, I have to admit that a plumber would have done the jobs more quickly, but they are in, working, and not dripping. Painting is next on the list.

Parry, any updates on your next chemo session?

Grannax, it' good to hear that you are feeling better.

Micmel, it's Friday. Will your dh be home for the weekend?

Lynnwood, How are you feeling? Is the stent behaving itself and still not causing you discomfort?

Rumor, I hope the doctor figures out how to get rid of your cough.

Holmes, it is always nice to hear from you. How are you doing? It would be nice to hear that things are really boring for you on the mbc front, if that is the case.. It seems like you never complain. I hope you will share with us when you need to.

Rosie, When I was on Ibrance, I often had low counts and had to delay the cycle for a week. It is not uncommon and doesn’t seem to make the treatment any less effective.

Minnie, Shorts? Wow. To think that I celebrate today because the temperature here hit 40 degrees F. Hahaha. Enjoy the good weather while you have it.

Lynne - I think about you every day. Give me a call when you feel like it. Maybe we can meet for lunch.

    Hi to anyone I missed.

Hugs and prayers for everyone, Lynne

Minnie~ Lol at your comment on my purple bikini, it was my favorite back then and I took after my dad. Long legs. It is nice to be spending time with him. I hear him tell all of his nurses when they comment on the smell of the Fresh laundry, “My daughter does my laundry for me, then he smiles at me and says thank you, I really appreciate it". So he knows. It's just one thing I can do. I know he's not going to just get better but they told us that it could prolong his wanting to live. Seeing everyone mend the fences and seeing the love come back to his life, makes him stimulated and happy. So I can understand how that may play apart in his sudden up tick. No longer on oxygen... no breathing treatments unless he's asks and is only on Ativan and his nightly alcohol. The nurse said he's gained two Pounds and his coloring is good and he's feeding himself. It's good to see him Pep up when I come in.

Shorts???? Excuse me what lol did I read that correctly ?

    Wow wow wow

! 50's no DH won't be here this weekend. This is college weekend visits. Tennessee and Alabama. He's going pre med. so he's seeing a lot of schools down south. However, he drove into the storm. He may go visit my mother, who has never met him. We married when she had moved to Elvis land to drive the tour bus. That was her dream. She's an Elvis person. Crazy Elvis person. But whatever makes you happy I always say! My DS is here. He's doing so well. So well. His anxiety is gone. This job has been such a blessing. I can't say enough about the changes I've seen in this young man.

Goodnight ladies ! Hugs. Runor. Parry...Tanya...Donna...Rosie....Bigbhome...

Holmes ... Mae... Gracie thinking of your scan! Pots....Skitz....Divine.....Sandibeaches...

Chicagoan...Edwards.....Bella....Grannax Hope you're resting up! MJH.. thinking of you as well! I also think of Lynne(man) everyday. And Sheila Marie Hasn't been around either. Love to all !

    Hey ladies

I’ve been reading but not writing. Made it to NY Thursday 2:00 am flight delays weather. Made it though traveling solo. Read an entire novel. I’m here visiting with my eldest daughter and her 5 kids and my mom. Mom and I leave for Hawaii Monday. I am inspired by all of my MBC sisters. I too want to travel while I’m at “this” stage.

Grannax you are gorgeous thank you so much for sharing and having the strength to strut down that runway!

Mae and Parry I think I wished you both a happy birthday but I will do it again or for the first time.

Happy to hear about your results Mae.

    MJH enjoy your upcoming excursion.

Pots Australia sounds fabulous. I love traveling.

Boo boo I go to Florida cancer specialists. I’ve had two surgeries at Moffit. It’s really a good place. I’ve heard that Moffit has a long waiting list but I don’t know how true it is.

Minnie enjoy Canada and your family.

50s girl it’s always good to see you. It was nice to see you with Claudia I think. If I go back on the pages to confirm who you were with I’ll lose this post.

Runor I hope your cough is just a seasonal thing.

Parry hope you’re doing ok today.

Micmel I’m happy to hear your dad is doing better. I hope that you can pop some happy pills and med Marij and hit the road with your DH.

Rosie everybody’s blood count dips on ibrance. They’ll either reduce the dose or give you a break. Also sometimes they give you neulasta.

Hi Holmes Muddling Runor Daniel/Leslie Gracie donnabelle lynnwood anyone else I forgot take care and have a good weekend.

Wow our thread moves so quick!

    Mae awesome news!

Runor I hope it’s nothing. I too wish I could be oblivious sometimes. Yeah I k is I have cancer somewhere but do I have to know all the where’s? Good luck I’ll be in your pocket.

    Hi to everyone!

So, I got a call yesterday (I think?) saying a spot opened in the infusion center on Friday (today) if I could make it. I didn’t even have to tell them I was upset about the whole debacle. Went in today and I even got to pick my room so I chose a bed room with a view since it was going to be an all day thing from the sound of it. Usually it’s blood work, wait 2 hours, infusion. I guess with this one I just go back and stay there for pre hydration infusion. It went well and I feel decent if not tired. I’ve only take 2 Percocet today and some CBD and right now pain is a 2/10! I was taking the max pain medicine I have and it would bring it to a 4/10 maybe. Is it too soon to have the chemo work? This feels surreal I’m almost waiting for the other shoe to drop and forgot what it feels like to not be in pain. Great day over all! Plus infusion got done a few hours before my radiation mapping appointment so DH and I got to walk around the mall and have fun. Next appointment is next week sometime...still not worked out yet.

    Cheers everyone

Parry, I am relieved to hear that you were able to have your infusion yesterday and happy that you had such a good day. I hope you are still feeling good today.

Tanya, Going from Florida to upstate NY then to Hawaii certainly takes you through extremes of weather. Hawaii!! It is my favorite place to visit. My entire body and mind instantly relax when I arrive. For me there is something magic about the place. I am sure you and your Mom will have fun there. What island will you be visiting? I am going to close my eyes next week and pretend that I am with you. If you feel a strange invisible presence nearby, it will just be me. I will be sitting right next to you enjoying the warm breeze. I hope you post pictures for us.

Micmel, sorry your dh isn’t with you this weekend, but visiting colleges is an important thing to do. Is your stepson a junior this year?

    Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Lynne~50’s~ he is a senior this year. He began applying last year and is taking his time in his selection. He toured northeast schools later last year. He wants to travel but also wants to be closer to us at home. So we will see what happens. Hes an Eagle Scout...and he plays the cello in his orchestra for years and is 4.1 student. He has his choice which is nice. But problem is everything is so damn expensive! How can they get away with charging young people and families with this expense and debt? Like no! Ugh! Because someone makes a decent living they slam
You with taxes and then you’re limited to what grants and scholarships they can get. Even though his record is just about perfect... it’s like a competition!!! Study hard young ones. !!
    Much love ~M~
