Thank you all for your support. When I was about to go under the anesthesiologist told me to think happy thoughts, and I told him I was already thinking of people who care about me. Everything went smoothly. I consumed a lot of soup and popsicles when I got home.
Dodgers, I bet you could use cream of chicken soup or cream of something else soup in your recipes. Maybe add some sautéed celery.
Wow, that’s a big deal, Illimae. It is good they take it so seriously and do all that cleaning and rescheduling. I had a day between my covid-19 test and my ERCP. I did not go anywhere and neither did DH or kid on the day between. But I did think that probably some people do.

KBL, you could give the radiologists who look at your scan this article, along with a note emphasizing that you have ILC and they should look for thickening and stranding, no just masses.

I have short hair (or well, I dont know what you would call it now) and the back was getting so long it was driving me nuts, so I took the hair scissors to it yesterday in the shower just to get it off the nape of my neck. NO IDEA what it looks like back there, but damn does it feel better! Then I texted my hair stylist and asked if he was back cutting and he said he was, so I booked an appointment for next Tuesday an hour after my monthly injection appt (he's down the hill from the hospital). CANT WAIT.
Yesterday our internet went out for a little while in the morning, so we wandered over to the village area to get a coffee and pastry and a 4G connection. Our first trip to a cafe in months and it was really lovely - sat outside and watched the world go by for a bit.
Dodgers - what were you making that required cream of celery? Ive always wondered in the soup aisle who uses some of those more random cream of soups!

Shetland, sounds like all went smoothly, so hope you recover quickly. Mae - you always sound so matter of fact about your stuff which is a good thing IMO. Hope your cyberknife goes well when it happens - I think we’re all in there for you! Mel...your DH has great hair, although I couldn’t quite get a handle on your family post re Covid #easilyconfused!

ShetlandPony, thank you. I’ve copied and pasted a note of what you put. There wasn’t supposed to be a link with your post, right

Mollie~ my daughter and her husband.

Shetland, I agree. I don’t know anything about the previous patient but so many people travel to MDA that it’s possible they were out of towners and maybe had to go out for food or something. I’m just glad I was called so quickly and they are handling it with the seriousness it deserves.

KBL, here is a link. Lol I was not equal to providing it yesterday after my ERCP. There is a link on a thread I made called ‘ILC (Lobular) “Unusual” Mets Sites’ which is here:
https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/8/topics/876844?page=1#post_5564030
The article is full of photos to show a radiologist what they are looking for.

ShetlandPony, thank you. I have read the other articles you had put up before, but I will go back and reread them. I appreciate it.

ShetlandPony— glad your pocket company was something peaceful before your procedure. It’s goid to know that all the karaoke we were doing in your pocket wasn’t distracting you! Also- ref cream of celery soup, my DH had the same thought so he brought home a can of cream of onion soup to try I have never used cream of onion soup
Illimae— hope you did get yo sleep in today. Good luck with your rads
SondraF- I grew up with Hamburger Helper’s tuna noodle casserole which I really liked but they don’t make the version I had so many years ago. Found a recipe that sounds similar so wanted to try it. It takes Cream of Celery soup. Also, a tuna stuffed shells recipe that I have made for years takes cream of celery soup

Okay, so I got my scan results today. Something weird showed up in my lungs, and the person who read the scan called it “patchy airspace disease”. Anyone ever heard of that one? I could understand if it was a scan of my head...
So I saw my pulmonologist, and she showed it to me from the disc. She said it could be an infection or the beginning of pneumonia....I don’t think she knew what it was. Anyway, she put me on antibiotics for 14 days as a precaution. I don’t feel bad, no fever, and lungs sound clear....so who knows....
I see my MO on Monday for Xgeva shot, port cleanse, and to discuss next steps. So I will get more info then.
Shetland, so glad everything went well for you.

I usually only lurk, but had to comment about the Cream of Celery soup. I know I read somewhere that Campbell's is cutting back on selections and will not make as many choices - but darned if I can find corroboration now. And I haven't been in a grocery store enough to tell. Wonder if that's what happened to celery?

Booboo, I've never heard of patch airspace disease, but here's hoping it's just an infection the antibiotics will fix. Hope you get a more definitive answer from your MO.
New2bc, when I heard about Kelly Preston's death, the second thing I thought of after wondering what type she had, was remembering about Diana Hyland dying of BC, too. She was much older than John Travolta who I think was only 25 or so at the time and she was 41 or so. Very sad.

MinusTwo— DH was at Walmart this afternoon and said there was 2 CASES of Cream of Celery soup. She bought me a can.
It’s weird what foods come up missing from the store shelves during this pande

I can’t get any brown rice!

we are short of lime diet coke. Haven't been able to get it for over a month. Probably just as well as that stuff has to be bad for me but it was my afternoon caffeine treat
Also still no Lysol wipes or purell hand gel

agree on the brown rice ! Dd scored some wipes got me a new container. Have hand sanitizer. The thing that gets me is the price gouging. For such a small bottle Of sanitizer. Toilet paper is hit or miss but go to Costco for those things. It’s crazy because it’s coming around again. It’s worsening in states again, so if they lock down again. It be round two Of chaos. So Get it while you can.. masks will be in demand for a long time and I don’t see a short time at all where we can’t not mask up. I don’t want to miss Christmas with my sister. I want to enjoy family and the gifting and laughter This better not last this long. It’s obviously thriving in the hotter weather. The opposite of the flu. So we clearly are screwed. It will be flu season next And then we worry about that. I hate cancer and I hate corona. So frustrating.

Ah, but it's impossible for me to keep up. I read all the posts Monday night, and when I checked in Tuesday night there were 54 new posts. WOW. I check in to see how Illimae is doing since we personally met & had lunch.\
But thanks for the welcome.

Bliss58- bet I have seen 10 “cute” bear videos with bears and trash cans lately. With each one I think of the story you shared.
Isn’t it amazing the things we learn to live with (including BC)

Micmel.
I have to blame you for this.

Mel, I am here. I have been trying to keep up with all the new posts too. Had a busy day between filling out my surveys for cash, washing my bedding and some extra bedding SIL asked me to go through to see if I wanted any and walking on the treadmill, I just have been short on time. Everybody has so much more going on than me right now anyway, my goings on are pretty routine.
I did have a good day today. I am busy saving my money to put back in my bank from the surveys, eating my beans and queso etc. I am thinking that I may try putting white kidney beans in some garlic pasta that I have, just cook the pasta from the package first, divvy it up into containers and then when I want to have some, cook beans and add them in. I may try this tomorrow after I pick up some milk at the grocery store.
Speaking of grocery stores, I cannot believe the shortages you guys are having. Looks like the panic buying is still going on though I know cases are on the rise in a lot of places over there.Hopefully someone can get people to actually shut down until cases stabilize. Sucks for the economy but would get you out of such dire straits in so many places. I will be interested what happens here when phase 3 officially starts. I know it is in a couple of days. Not sure if I want to shop yet or go to a movie. We will have to see.
Also, if you know anyone who wants to know why a mask is a good thing to wear when indoors, this is a funny little thing to show them.

Minus, This thread does move fast, no pressure, pop in whenever. I’m eating better and crawling out of my hunger/frustration funk, so I post more now.
Mara, that pee post is funny and eww...
goodnight everyone

Mara, lol! That pee post is too funny, but oh so true!
Good night y'all.

I cannot imagine what anyone would want with celery soup but now I'm craving an ice cube sandwich!

Bliss/Mel,
Will see if MO knows what the heck the patchy thing is...I really don't want to start the antibiotics if I don’t need them...so was thinking of waiting until after Monday’s appt. with MO to start them or not.
Hope all are hanging in there. I’m seeing some promising news about vaccines that could be coming soon. We’ll get through this together like we do with cancer. Love you ladies!

Mel- Thank you for missing me. I am ok.
Just a weird week. Monday I had the 2nd opinion MO appt and I came home exhausted and posted on the Ibrance Thread. Tuesday my niece had major surgery and I could not be there (COVID precautions). So I have been texting/calling my sister (the mom). Niece surgery went good, but she has a lot of recovery. She is 13 years old.
I have been in my house, of course. And I have been thinking about niece, and my decision whether to transfer care of MO or not. I read on here, but just haven't commented. Sorry.
Boo- So, probably beginning of infection versus cancer progression? Hope just a blip and will all be ok. You are not on any treatment right now for the cancer, right?
mara- I saw that poster on Facebook--someone had posted there. Good one.
I listen to my local news daily. There were 8 new cases of COVID in my surrounding area/counties. Then next day a dozen new cases. Then Tuesday 3 dozen. Then yesterday 50 new cases. It's baacckk. I do not go anywhere--- Dollar store weekly, doctor appts. But scary. Who is infected? Who is carrying it? Will I get it somehow? I told my sis I was available to care for niece when she gets home from hospital, but, understandably, she wants to quarantine her away from everyone. She will have lowered immunity after this major surgery. I hate all this.
