Good evening all thanks so much for the support. I had some anxiety but my Dr. came in and reassured me and pumped me full of anti anxiety meds and pain killer. The sweater pockets were jumping today!

Moth how did your appt go today?

Mel you’re going to wear the seater when you have to take Tag ok?

Golden and I think moth wanted to know about the nerve block surgery. I had the two blocks and today was the ablation. They only did the left side today and I won’t know definitively if it worked or not for up to two weeks from now. Sept 9 is the date for the right side.

It was wonderful to log in this evening and see all the pets. Wow 😳 such beautiful pets you all have.

    Take care all

Tanya, glad you checked in. I hope everything worked perfectly and soon your pain will be a memory. So many steps in these complicated procedures but I'm so glad we have the knowledge to do there treatments.

My port insertion went fine. The hardest bit was getting the iv - took 3 tries so it reaffirmed why a port is a good idea for me. The sedation was lovely - I was just very calm and placid :)

    Tanya,

So glad you checked in. Have been thinking about you. Hoping this treatment gives you relief of the pain.

Mel, Deeohgee is adorable under that curtain. What a cutie!

Hi to all. Hope everyone has a good day.

Moomala, hoping you check in soon. Am worried about your pain too.

Happy to hear that things went smoothly for both of you yesterday. Great news.

    Hello Ladies.

Tanya. Pleased to hear all went well. Lol I think he looks funny under the curtain also. He's acting weird though. Maybe he knows. ?

Moth Same with your port insertion. Done and over with. Behind you both now you rest up.

It's another soupy gross day outside today. Yuck. I don't like going out on those days. But I had a palliative are doctors appointment this morning so I had no choice. Feels like it's 95 out there.

Hope Moomala is ok. Worrying about her. It's been a while since she's checked in. 😔

I hope you all have a good day today. Finally my desk is scheduled to be delivered. Ironic part is my Dh is out of town. Or he would put it together for me tonight. So now I'll have to wait , until Thursday. Maybe tomorrow! I have the strangest luck....

    Mae,

I hope you and your DH get through this Hurricane. It’s scary stuff. Stay safe, my friend. Will be praying for safety.

Glad to hear that Tanya and moth doing ok.

    Missing Moomala.

Had blood draw this morning. Will post results when I get them.

Booboo, thank you. We should be fine, we're in NW Houston, farther from the Gulf but we are finishing last day preps. DH is out back breaking down the pool and I've cleared/cleaned the closet we use for tornadoes. The closet is on the 1st floor, in the center of the house and under the stairs protected on all sides. Also, my neighborhoods power lines are underground, we were only out of electricity for about 12 hrs with Ike, which was a direct hit. There's plenty of food and supplies in my disaster box and DH filled gas cans yesterday. We easily fall into the “prepper" category but less end of the world than most.

candy I hope your numbers are good to go!!! We just get used to ibrance and want to stay with what we’re familiar with.

Mel sorry for yucky weather. Humid here today too.

    In for zometa infusion today.

Booboo we got a lot of rain yesterday I assumed Marco passing by. How about you?

Mel hopefully the Marco Laura duo does no harm and fizzles.

Hope everyone is doing as well as can be.

hope everyone in path of hurricanes or wildfires stays safe. Its beautiful here today, perfect temps and I enjoyed breakfast outside, then took a book and pot of tea for a bit.

I've started a foccaccia for dinner. I'm reading a mystery novel where the main character is a cook in a ca.1900 English house. Makes me hungry even though the recipes/dishes are not to my taste at all. I might make a soup later.

Tanya and Moth, I am also glad things went smoothly. The port is a godsend for chemo. Tanya, I hope this leads to less or no pain.

Mel, glad your desk is coming, sorry you have to wait.

I have had an OK day. Walked to a further away grocery store, was a sweatball. Had to shower for the 2nd time today and wash clothes. Good thing the sweating and humidity are not a bother. The other grocery store I went to is less expensive. I also bought myself a cubii, mini elliptical.Thousands of 5/5 revies encouraged me to buy it. I want to have a seated option for exercise that does not take up the whole room. Got a good deal from the shopping channel, saving 100 and can pay 40 over 6 months for it. It will allow me to rest feet if I want to without skipping the exercise. I am also seeing older DB and SIL for coffee tonight which should be nice. I will just want to hear about their trip and renewal. Nothing too much else going on.

Blood drawn 11am today. Now after 5pm. No results/ no message from MO. Frustrating. Hopefully some news tomorrow. Ibrance continues held. Sigh....

Moth, look at you, cooking up a storm the day after getting your port! No more IVs! What is the book? You had me at 1900 English house.

    Mae,

Glad you are not in a direct hit area. We are getting lots of rain, but no real wind to speak of. Stay safe.

ShetlandPony, I'm on a tear in the kitchen. At first I couldn't decide between a foccaccia and a simple loaf and then I realized, why not both? If I didn't know better I'd have thought they gave me steroids yesterday...

It's the Mrs Holloway series by Jennifer Ashley. They're in a London house, not in the country. I'm on book 2 https://jenniferashley.com/jennifer-ashley-books/k...

Simone ~ I mailed your masks this morning. So they should be arriving later this week, depending on this crazy mail. Hope you like what I’ve chosen.

I went to the damn fabric store again today. Pretty soon there going to start calling me mask lady. Lol. Gave some. To the nurses and my palliative care doctor. I enjoy taking them with me and give them to the patients also. My son had to carry Tag up the stairs tonight I didn’t have the heart to make him try the sling. He fell over in the yard three times today for me alone. My daughter mentioned it to me also. We are running out of time with my buddy. So sad!

Moth, those books sound like fun. I will check my online library for them. You do have a lot of energy cooking twice and being active. Awesome

Mae and Laurie, hope you stay safe

I had a very nice visit with DB and SIL. We walked around a nice park, weather was cooler. We also drove around chatting and then went grocery shopping. It was fun.

Booboo, Tanya, Mae, (and anyone else down in the gulf coast) hoping you have no big hurricane effects.

Candy, still no report on your labs? That stinks. I'm kind of in your boat with low counts. Today my neutrophil count was 620 again, same as July. I'm in transition to a new MO so the NP is emailing the new doc (who I haven't seen yet) suggesting I go down to 100 mg. I guess the NP doesn't want to make the decision.

Mel, thinking of you. I love your pet pics, and everyone else's too. The goldens are beautiful. When I was teaching a parent arranged for her blind friend and her guide dog to come in and talk with my students about their day to day lives. “Cadet" was a yellow lab who melted all of our hearts. I think they came each year for about 4 years. Fond memory.

Mara, the mini elliptical sounds really good. I hope it's something you like doing.

I've gone back to my water exercise class for 3 sessions now. The class size went from a max of 25 before Covid to 10 now, so I'm always wondering if I'll make it in before it's full. So far I have. I wasn't sure if I should go but I've had a lot more neck, back and shoulder stiffness the last few months and decided it's worth it to get loosened up in the water. My last bone scan in January was still met free but showed tons of arthritis I didn't know I had. Maybe that's what I'm feeling. Masks are worn up to getting in the pool and asap when getting out, no locker room available so we leave in our wet suits. So far it's ok.

    Hello to everyone reading. 🐶🐱🐕🐈🐕

Rosie, the mini elliptical should be good because it comes with a mat to hold it in place. I have read thousands of positive 5 star reviews. It is higher quality than just the little peddlers I have had before. The other nice thing is it can fit under my couch or chair and is fairly light. Will just let me get exercise in where I would not normally. Would really like to get back to 180 lbs where I feel best. I've cut my portions while still eating the beans, not so much heaping piles of food. All of the stuff subtracting chocolate bars. I have reintroduced peanut butter and started putting wheat bran which is low calories, an oatmeal cookie chopped and just a spoonful of peanut butter as a snack. Way less calories than the chocolate but so very good tasting. I also like giving my feet a break too as sometimes they are a bit sore.

Mel, my SIL complemented the mask. I wore the pink/purple blend tonight while shopping.

Rosie ~I’m so jealous of the pool. I think it’s so good for you. I can’t swim indoors, I only have one functioning lung and I can’t breathe in those hot areas of the pool smothers me. I love to swim though, I wish I could do it. Water therapy is good. Your using muscles you haven’t in years. That’s what you’re feeling 😃

Mara~I am pleased SIL complimented the mask. It makes me happy you’re using them. I have made close to 300 I’d say. I’m not even done yet. Soon I’ll go to the hospital infusion and I have a lot to give out there. Glad you got out and nice on the elyptical. I think I know which one you mean. Good luck with it. Doctor told me I lost 10 lbs this time around. Maybe 30 more and keep going. Damn hormonals just puff you out like a blow fish.

lol Mae, I might just be a bit goofy still 😉

Guys, I made a lemon bundt, cause apparently I wasn't done domestic goddessing yet! Bundts crack me up because they always remind me of the scene in My Big Fat Greek Wedding where the mom brings a bundt to the prospective inlaws....

Good thing nobody is low carbing or gluten free here as I've gone through over 1kg of flour 😆

aaaaaaaand the dog ate the bundt 🤣🤣 ooops on our part. I thought my hubby was still around and went to do a dressing change on the port insertion (cause I opened up a bit and bled) and Olive ate the cake 😃
