Candy that’s wonderful that the doctor has plans and more plans. Just what you needed to feel valued and in the know

Mae half you’re ok. Praying for others who have been in the way of Laura.

Mel the craft desk is exactly what you need.

Mara, I googled your mini elliptical because I couldn’t picture it! I think I got close to what you have and now I see how you do it from your couch. Good plan for tv time, or anytime.

Mel, I like your desk. Will you be sewing there?

Rainy evening here and more to come tomorrow. Thinking we may start watching “The Queen”. It’s been around a while but I’m always behind on shows, lol. I’ve gotten to like Royal Family shows

I used "Under Desk Elliptical" on the Amazon site. Several popped up, but this is for the Cubii JR1 Seated Under Desk Elliptical Machine for Home Workout...

Radishes, Green onions, Bacon, Peanut butter

that is all, carry on :)

Sunshine, the cubii jr is the one I got. I am quite satisfied with it. Really can feel I did a lot of work. I also maxed the display at 9999 strides which is equal to 4999 steps when walking. It is good, I did get sweaty, I will add it to my regular walking routine. Liking sitting on the couch and telling alexa which songs to play. I also watched young and the restless. It is great. Heavy and sturdy materials

Edited to add that if you are using on a hard floor, I highly recommend picking up the cubii mat. I did try using without the included mat that I got but it would slide a bit. My mat was included in the deal I got from the shopping channel here in canada. Check amazon or your HSN to see if it is there.

Mae, peanut butter has replaced chocolate for me. My favourite snack lately is 1/4 cup of fiber one honey clusters/bran stick mix and peanut butter. So yummy. The radishes, green onions and bacon I can see with a little sour cream. Most yummy. I wonder if bacon bits and green onions would pair well with my beans, spinach, schredded cheese and queso meals. Might have to find out about that.

One of my dad’s favorites when I was a young girl was peanut butter bread dipped in coffee. I am a PB&J fanatic and eat one almost every day. This last week I brought Dad’s memory back and have eaten peanut butter bread dipped in coffee twice for dinner. It’s so good.

I can imagine that peanut butter bread dipped in coffee would be good. Never had peanut butter bread. Still loving my hamburgers from the fast food joint with peanut butter on them.

I eat peanut butter every day now. I had to avoid peanuts and peanut products due to intolerance but I started taking digestive enzymes and I am all over the peanuts again.

Another weird snack I enjoy is a little spinach and cheese shreds, microwave for 90 seconds. Put 1/4 cup fiber one honey clusters, a spoonful of wheat bran with taco seasoning. Top with a spoonful or two of queso, absolute delicciousness without major calories. Love adding fiber to most things.

    Mel, nice desk!

Mara, thanks for info on the Cubii Jr. I had seen those advertised on TV and of course wondered whether it would really be useful. It's good to get a true review from someone "I know." Might have to check it out.

Mae, so glad Laura missed you and that your friends in Lake Charles are okay, too! Sounds like that area did get hit bad.

Mara - I had considered a cubii / deskcycle in April as a stepping stone to a Big Bike and to start restrengthening my legs, but they were all sold out in the UK. So I just skipped right to the spin bike (but not until July), but you are right, having a different way to exercise and get the heart rate up than just walking is important!

Mae - I saw on the news that had gone to Cat 4 and was surprised, so glad it missed you!

Nothing new here, I have a very long weekend away from work, which was very much needed. Set up my new FitBit this morning, confirmed the new MO I want to see is covered by my insurance, and need to call GP to get a referral letter now. What a faff. But I think once its set up I will hopefully feel much more reassured as this lady is in targeted therapy research and an advanced breast cancer specialist.

I am not doing much, quite cloudy. If it is not supposed to storm, I may put my little rubber boots on and walk up to harveys for supper. Will walk in rain, but obviously not in storms. I have not been out for a couple of days. Will also need to fold up cubbi box and dispose of the foam garbage as well. Want to make sure I still walk as well, not just pedal furiously.

Well, going out today with another person who is not a member of my family, YAY. It is a good friend of mine that I worked with and kept in touch with over the years on FB and the odd trip out. She asked me to go to a sushi joint, so will see what that is like, never had sushi so I will see. I know they have other food as well, but really looking forward to seeing her and catching up. We have not seen each other since Jan or Feb at the wine bar.

Walked for half an hour on the treadmill and used my cubii quite a bit. Had to put down a yoga mat because it still managed to move a little bit even on its little mat. I still quite like being able to move legs. Hoping this and my more controlled diet without all the chocolate will help trim me down. I will NOT give up peanut butter but it is less calories than the huge chocolate bars I was eating. I am eating all the same stuff, just smaller portions of it. Still need good bloodwork and avoid anemia which I would not be surprised if it contributing to my fainting between Christmas and February. Once I added beans and spinach, less of that feeling and never felt like I would pass out in the heat.

I also made a big step because last night, I was in the mood for a burger but did not have any so did Skip the Dishes. All it consisted of was a Mcdonalds combo with a couple of extra hamburgers for later. The total came up to over 30 dollars. I used to spend that but since I have had a couple of orders done wrong, I pick up my own food. I also will eat in the restaurant after the long walk there so I can get home. So much cheaper and the food is freshly made. I know drivers need a living but by the time you add a couple of dollars per item, tax, service fee, delivery fee and tip for the driver, not worth it. Rather just eat my beans , spinach and shredded cheese with a bit of queso and wheat bran blended with taco season, sprinkle few little tortilla chips. Smaller than I used to eat but still good. Needless to say, I cancelled my order. No more of that, even in the winter

Simone ~YAY I am so glad you got them. I hope you like them. You said you liked blue. So I looked in my inventory for what I had left of blue. It varies from time to time because of what fabric I choose to process. But there were some beautiful blues. I hope you'll get use of out of them.

If anyone else is interested, please let me know. I still have over 100. wavjng to Mara. Hello sweetheart. I see your a flurry of activity already. I just took a much needed shower. Once it's done it feels good. It's just getting it over with for me. I don't like being Reminded that my body looks like a race track with skid marks everywhere. I hate it If course hubby hugs me and kisses me and all I want to do is hide. Cancer is rough man.

    Mae,

Mel has beautiful taste in fabric, so you can't go wrong with any of them she'll send you. I like to pick a different color each time that goes with what I'm wearing, and they are all made so well.

I have been meaning to ask you how your voice is coming along? Are you able to talk like before? I have so much respect for you and what you have been through. And to see you fight your way back is soinspiring.

I just got back from lunch and listening to some speakers about current topics going on nowadays at a park. Got some good info I did not know, tried new food I have never tried at the sushi place. Feeling good. It was nice to be out and around people. The weather also cooperated at the park, cool without being to hot.

Mel, my friend today thought the mask you made me was beautiful. I wore the one with the pink and purple and what looks like warm white/gold. I love that one so much. Easy to breathe and comfortable. It was also comfortable when I attended a rally at a park with other people. It was cooler so easier to tolerate that. Overall, had a fully day. The sushi was yummy, tried a lot of new foods. Learned a lot of good info at the park so I feel good. Not even tired suprisingly. The same friend and I are braving the movie theater to see the new Bill and Ted movie on Thurs next week. Plenty of spacing between people. Still am getting popcorn and looking forward to the show.

    Hello all,

I am still here. Truthfully, I have not felt great this summer. low grade nausea, fatigue, lack of appetite, big weight loss, no motivation. have been working with PCP and MO to try and alleviate symptoms, but have not hit the bullseye yet. Still in holding pattern until September 8th PET. tumor markers came way down, but are now rising slightly. No clue what to expect for PET results.

Glad to read that everyone is holding pretty steadily, despite a few bumps.

A lot nervous about my Grandson returning to school, but I do really trust our school district. They are using all protective strategies that are recommended.

Sending love to each, Mary Jane

MJH~I am sorry that this summer has been rough for you. I hate it when we have the bloodwork time and when you have to re find yourself rythym with your health. I think of you often. I would be nervous too about your grandson going back. My step son goes to unviversity of Alabama and their cases of covid are leaping daily. 900 new cases since re opening. My step son is tested weekly. So they are trying to see who has it and who must be quarantined. Some scary times.

MJH, I am sorry to hear about you not feeling well as well. It can certainly make life miserable feeling that way for such a long time and makes it hard to see the finish line of this. I hope you get answers soon on how to combat all of this.

Nice to see you check in MJH :)

Micmel, I guess I’m a medium, all I know is the hospital masks for me just fine. Thanks you!

Booboo, I appreciate your kind words. My voice is somewhat improved but it still requires a lot of effort to talk because I have to really push the words out, almost like yelling and since my airway doesn’t close, air escapes while I’m talking, which makes me breathy. The worst right now is automated systems by phone, “say yes or no”, I say yes but I get “sorry, I didn’t understand that”, I end up yelling at a computer voice, so frustrating. Too often I have to get DH to handle that until I get a real person. I do have a vocal cord/throat muscle strengthening session on Monday, hopefully I’ll get good tips from it.

Had tacos tonight with chips and salsa, to go from a nearby restaurant, soooo good!

Mae really glad that you are enjoying your food again. That is such a big part of qol I think. I am glad to hear that they are helping your vocal cord as well. May it fix up your voice in a timely manner.
