Lynne-Yes we take the good news when we can get it! I hope you are enjoying your family in FL. We didn't get any snow, just some rain. Still windy today though.
Grannax-My grandchildren exhaust me too, but I love being with them. Tonight, all 3 of them are staying over. It was our daughter's anniversary a couple of days ago, so we said we'd watch her boys. Then we also invited our granddaughter. They don't get to see each other as much as they use to, so we figured we'd take them all. I'll be exhausted tomorrow, but we'll have fun.
Micmel-We used to watch Dirty Jobs too. The host always made me laugh. I guess they ran out of Dirty jobs for him to do.
Last night I went out with my former co-workers. It's been about a year since we have got together. There were 8 out of us, 14 with spouses. We were at the restaurant for 3 hours. Lots of laughs. Then we went to one of my friend's house. We used to get together every Fri. I had a fire in my backyard, and we'd do that from spring to fall, then when it got too cold, we'd take turns hosting. We haven't gotten together in a year. I've seen them out and about, and spoken to a couple of them on the phone, but we haven't all got together. It was nice. I hope we can do it again. I've miss both my co-workers and my friends. Not sure if they are just shying away from me or what. I didn't ask, maybe I should have. Luckily, they picked the right week where I'm feeling ok. I just wish that my friend's had chosen a different night. Tough having to show up late. One friend was leaving as we came in. I was laughing so hard I was crying a few times. It felt good!

Micmel- before you know it that flipping surgery will be over and you will just look "mahvelous!" We got wind and some rain from that horrific storm-feel for those on the Massachusets coast.

Made it through Friday's PET scan fine. Blood sugar cooperated nicely. The technician is the nicest guy. Get results on Thursday. On pins and needles.
Spent the morning at my grandson's school doing flea market/craft fair as fundraiser for his unicycle club. Really nice community event and Mr. Cancer was not allowed there!

Lynne~(Man)~Usually Dirty Jobs is always on Saturday morning on discovery channel. I watch it for hours. But the past two weeks it hasn't been on! I prefer that show because of Mike Rowe, he's hilarious and a good person overall. You can tell He treats everyone with respect and kindness. MJH~I am thinking about nothing but good results for you my friend. Understand the pins and needles. One part I wish we all didn't have to deal with. It's crap if you ask me 💩. That storm dumped over 7 inches on us and wind was really bad. Took out a lot of power for many people. The wind was howling so much it would make our power blink, like a tease, we were afraid we'd loose it.... luckily we didn't. Thanks for the kind words about the surgery. I don't really want to re-visit the drains again. That sucked royally. Yucky! But hopefully I'll heal quickly. Today Is Also windy! I want 55 to 65 temps and I am ok with a light jacket. The snow was unexpected,they were calling it a nor'easter, when we get those, its usually inches upon inches. Stay warm everyone. Unless you're someplace lovely. Then 😛to you!! Hugs ~M~

Subtle symptoms like some numbness in my jaw, that we thought was taxol, funky hearing, headaches, occasional foot drop, I thought I had a sinus infection wondering if it was the Mets... Don't ignore things that seem off..

Keetmom, I certainly understand why you want to start treatment as soon as possible. I would feel the same way. As you know, several people on the Brain Mets thread have had WBR and reported success. There are some special bco members there who are ready to help answer any questions you have. In addition to their support, we are all here for you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you have your treatment on Monday.

Hi there! DH is improving each day
As far as brain mets symptoms are concerned, I was told the lesions were too small to cause any. The tension headache was caused by skin pain from radiation, mild blurry vision was a residual issue from chemo and the slight balance and stumbling I had on occasion were likely mild neuropathy. My real sign was a gut feeling that even though I didn’t have obvious suspicions, in needed to know for sure either way. Fortunately, it was early enough to give me good odds. Don’t underestimate your gut

Mae~I am so glad to hear that DH is improving everyday. What a relief. That is In The rear view mirror. Just make him realize too much too soon isn't all that great either! I agree with the gut thing ..... you know your body inside and out and you feel something if it's off. I knew something was wrong the last day I ran those miles..... I looked around and was so very sad, I just had a feeling I would not be back anytime soon. If ever again. It was a sad realization that this wasngoing to chance my life. I felt so sick. Fatigue off the charts. I would work out every day and then come home and have to sleep. It was obvious something was not ok. Deep down I knew. Have a great night sleep. Gn ladies. Hugs to you! ~M~

ok I am here to admit my addiction to AMAZON!! I didn't want to admit it lol but that is half Of the battle. Is It not ? I am constantly looking for things to buy. It's easy you just press the place your order button and things show up at your front door. It's amazing. Lol I finally lept out of denial and totaled up what I have spent. Ick! I am seriously done spending! I have about $200 more dollars to spend for the cocktail tables and the three pink linen table cloths I need to rent because of specific measurements!
Everything else I purchased out right. I gave my DD her bridal purse that I bought for her, and she loved it. So she's keeping that also. Now we need to worry about her shoes. I almost shiver thinking she will use words like Michael Kohrs (Spelling) or Gucci or something scary like that. I bought my shoes to go with my MOB dress. I opted for silver. Which is the the color of my bag I'll be carrying! I adore them. I ordered them early because I'm going to wear them and break them in before the wedding , by wearing them in the house. So my feet adjust to them well enough ahead of time! With some lasting neuropathy from abraxane I need to be careful with any heel whatsoever,ever so I got the kitten heel. It's small and not chunky. I don't need a broken ankle. I so do love love them! I'll post a pic. Hope everyone is doing well. Slow weekend. Hope that means everyone's out loving, living, and laughing. Much love ~M~

I have one more week on this month of ibrance. Which brings me too week of the 5th ! Then it would be my week off...which would be then week of starting the 12 and ending 17... then my first week would start... then the very next week on the 30th is my surgery. I don't know if I should start a new month for one week on then miss two more weeks to recover... then back on the beginning of the third. To start again. It seems like a waste for a week I should just not start the new week and keep it three weeks flat. I wish I could never take it again. I slept all day and I mean all day long. How many hours can one person possibly sleep. It's sucky!

Greetings. It was a hectic week for me, onc appt. which went well (I go every 3 months) but its a long drive to Pittsburgh and back, a big city, a long day and then it takes a few days to shake it off, all that interaction, if that makes sense.
Micmel, the shoes, they are perfect!
Illimae, oh I love that rainbow of jeans. I buy different colors of the same jacket and tshirts, but never quite that many colors!

Divine~ thank you. I do really like them a lot! They didn't break the bank either but we still have to shop for her shoes oh my. Why these girls wants huge heels. I was always really tall, so if I had worn heels, I wouldn't have looked monstrous next to my x. But she wants these monster heels. Granted they are gorgeous, but how many Times will she wear them? At least mine will be worn again!! Although the ones she chose were not terrible in price either.
I know what you mean about shaking it off. You detach yourself from that place and thoughts. Your mind starts to forget what you have to do in another three months. It's a mental torture. I hate it also and you're not alone. When you're home and doing your daily routine , it's a distant thought on purpose! Not to mention how much we hate going anywhere near there. ITs a reminder that something is wrong with us. A reminder we'd rather forget entirely. I also dis like long drives! I will be in the hospital for three days or so after surgery, knowing me maybe less. I have mixed feelings about that. I don't like anesthesia and worrying if I'm going to wake up again! But already knowing that I am going to be in pain yet again. I am not welcoming physical pain at all! In fact it scares me. The pain i have endured could sink a ship. I guess we all feel that way, one way or another! Hugs to you my friend!

..... These are the ones she really liked and they aren't that badly priced actually. I was thinking the princess without a county would want clear glass slippers now that she's found her prince. I do like them though! Decisions decisions, hopefully she won't wait too long, things sell out really fast and they never know if it will ever come back in style. She wanted the same champagne flutes for her bridal shower and her wedding. That I ordered. When I went to order more of them, they were no longer Available, so I had to choose other ones. I got extra this Time. Just In case someone drops one or breaks one. Then we will have extras just in case! Lots of last minute details to attend to. All good here, DH is getting better every day. We did have friends over for The Walking Dead and Pot Roast, both were great!
Bought a plane ticket to Florida for my BFF’s moms 70th bday vacation in May. BFF and family are driving down from Wisconsin and I’m going to fly in and hang out with them in Destin for a week.
Can’t wait!

Runor~Hi there! I am glad to see you here! I always have to make sure my peeps are doing ok! I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was sort of. Blurr. DH and DSS came later Friday night because of all the delays with the snow storm and the nightmare traffic, then packed up my van, left his car here for me. So my DH could use it to move out so trash to the dump and things he doesn't want to keep anymore, since his house has sold, he is skipping and jumping to get things moving along towards settlement.
He lived in this house when he was a young kid, not happy memories from that house, Then when his father passed away suddenly, from a heart attack, he was at the time separating from his ex wife. He moved in there and took over the house again. He never thought he would live there again, he doesn't have the best memories. so now he is ready to roll outta there! I am going to have to move down and we are going to finally purchase our house togther. I am not moving down there until summer of 2019. which is when DSS will be heading towards college. It was always the plan to merge homes after the kids were off to college. It's my turn to live my life with DH after almost 15 years of this, his traveling up and down the roads every weekend on average. It's been hard on him. All we want to do is be in the same house finally. He deserves more than anything I can ever give him. His love is always strong, he never falters... he is my love. My rock. My heart.
