Thank you Frisky!
SchnauzerMom: I'm happy for you! Thank you for sharing your small "huge" good news with us!

results not out yet - but I would push for an opinion as to prognosis between surgical removal of suspicious lymph node versus radiation. My instinct remains particularly in early disease to have as much of the tumour out as possible, and data is slowly accumulationg to support that

Lots of chatter again. We have hit over 1000 posts!
Frisky, I don't know who is more anxious for your scans, you or us! Will be thinking of you on Monday, and hoping to hear results soon after. BREATHE! Think good results, not bad. Yeah, I know, not so easy, as I usually think things will be bad. Thinking, how can they not, I have stage IV cancer. I will start with 2 pills of the milk thistle, but before when I was taking it, I didn't have any issues with 3. But do know my body has been in a huge battle over the last 2 months.
Sonia, what tac? Taxol and Adrimyacin (sp)?
Schnauzermom, that is some awesome news. I know TM's are not always reliable, but I have mine done every 6 weeks and I too am hoping for a decrease in numbers. Verzineo with Faslodex will be my next treatment, when I have to quit Xeloda. How are the SE's on that?
Another story from Joe's page, and it's about BC! Missing alot of information, like if she's in current traditional treatment, or for how long she took the FZ...
Today I went in for a catscan. My onc called me to say there was no metastic to any other part of my body. I had to grill her for more info which she didn't seem to want to give, but she told me the cancer tumor and lymph nodes have reduced. But I don't know by how much. She said catscans don't show sizes. . .really?? Everytime I'm around her I want to commit m. . . . . r!!! So this reduction is by my pretty much taking 4x the dose of fenben, and also I apply a coconut oil/fenben patch in my armpit over the lymph nodes. I also take a slew of pills. Started fenben in February. Increased my dose in May to 4x. BC e+, stage lll0 -
Goldie thank you for your encouragement and more balanced view, I needed it! And thank you for posting another positive story, albeit one lacking a clear description. We know she was on the protocol for 4 months. Does 4x mean four days a week to you? Or she took 4g, I’m not sure.
What was clear however, was the surprise and confounding of her MO. Priceless isn't it? In the end, to experience the confusion in our Mo's eyes as their brain look for plausible answers is going to be the second best part of our success stories. It happened also to Joe Tippens!
I intuitively feel that the success of FZ is dose depended. If you all recall, Joe starved himself because the chemotherapy had damaged his esophagus and he couldn't eat. He end up losing a lot of weight, and he's unrecognizable in the photo where he's holding a baby in comparison to how he was before and he is now, quite robust.
So maybe, the vet that gave him the protocol took into consideration his weight, don't forget...the 1g is for 10 pds dogs. Of course, we're not just killing worms, we have more serious business to attend, but it's something to be considered in my humble opinion.
This might be a case where more medication is better, which puts me at 180 degree to where I normally stand regarding conventional treatments....if by chance, I'm correct, I would find this extremely ironic.
Starting Monday, my 13th session with FZ, I will increase the dose to 2g and will continue to take it 4days @week, to compensate for my current weight 175 pd. And we'll see what happens. Whatever SE are associated with it, I deem acceptable in comparison to those associated with any and all chemotherapies

Frisky, you are right on with your questions about the post from Joe's FB page. I can ask. And I don't think I have worms...lol. I don't think she said anything about any of the other supplements either. Good question about Joe and his weight vs. his dosing of 1 mg. Also, she needs to get a new onc. So glad I am happy with mine, however I have not shared with him about the FZ, not sure when I will. Maybe after progress. The thing is, most of us don't know if it's traditional things working or the FZ. However, I have been on my chemo pills (xeloda) for 4 years, so I'm thinking if I do show some success, it HAS to be the FZ. I am anxious to get back on it!

Goldie, your case is particular because X has been working well for you, but, you will be able to deduct from our collective experiences if it's FZ that is making a difference or the rest.
I know for a fact, that none of the medications I was presc stopped progression to the liver, so in my case I will have noqualms deciding which way to go when the time comes for that decision to be made.
We can only go by what's going on with Joe, because he is the oldest on this protocol, and if it has kept him cancer free all these years, it will work the same for us.
Ultimately, what this therapy proves is that ALL CANCERS can be treated the same way, that all the genetic distinctions our MOs use to determine what is appropriate is in really unscientific. And how do we know? Because people sooner or later relapse and die or have to be on dreadful medications that will kill them in other ways...that's why people dread cancer more than anything else I can think of right now.
The disease and the treatments are equally dreadful. Sharing our stories with our doctors is useless, because our experience will never disrupt the huge cancer money making machine. The only outcome will be that FZ will cost $1000 @gram and will not be available without a prescription, which will destroy the lives of future patients, and ours as we have to continue taking the FZ.
I propose we keep quiet, and silently help as many people as possible. The truth is, as observed by the lack of interest on this web site alone, that the business of cancer won't have much to fear for many, many years to come.

Ohhhh Frisky, I sure hope that doesn't happen with the cost of the FZ. Those poor people just trying to treat their animals for worms!!!! Supposed to be funny, but not really!
I did ask the question. Her name is Birgit. You will see my post, as I have the same avitar. If anyone wants to be FB friends, I'm ok with that. Just so you know, I don't "share" things, especially memes, I don't even comment on them. All of my posts are personal to the individual. If I like a picture, I comment on it.

from Joe's page...……..thought this might be useful

hi earl, there is a very good study done on fenbendazole and blood levels done on dogs, they also tested not only dosage levels for blood concentrations but also with food, with fatty foods, and without food. Dog uptake might not be the same as human (dogs have much shorter digestive system) but the overall results are interesting as it is fenbendazole specific. they found that fatty meals didn't help absorption but with food did. also there was not a huge difference between blood levels between the lowest dose (2.5mg per kg body weight) and highest dose (80mg per kg of body weight). they tested 2.5mg, 5mg, 10, 20, 40, 80mg doses. they found that the plasma concentration levels were highly variable between individual dogs. 10mg a kg of body weight had a real effective plasma level from looking at the graphs they made. fatty meal had no effect on plasma concentrations from their results https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8345569Hide or report thisncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Oral absorption and bioavailability of fenbendazole in the dog and the effect…

Frisky! I'm so sorry, I blew right past your post stating Pet Scan this coming Mon. My prayers are beseeching heaven for good results. You got this.
As for me, I've finally (after way overthinking it) decided to decline the Taxol this Mon. My leg Is still hurting as we speak. So they will be scheduling a Bone scan/ Ct scan for me sometime this week.....I'm right there with ya.
Frisky try to have a nice peaceful stress free week-end.

Snooky, thank you for your support and new information.
My infallible intuition tells me your scan will show great results, consistent with all the others, and I believe your decision regarding Taxol was a wise one. Taxol had done its job and it would only affect your quality of life, at this juncture. If you chose to take xeloda, in the future, it will be much easier in comparison. That is till FZ renders you cancer free and that hopefully could become a reality when you’re tested again
I'm going to the Berkshires this weekend. Will spend it with friends over walks along country roads and cooking wholesome meals.
The scan is late on Monday, so I will have time even for a decent breakfast. I do have confidence in FZ and, I know that sooner or later IT will work for all of us...there's no reason not to...just question of trying different quantities till it does....other success stories will guide us

Hi all!
Goldie: tac is ct scan, I wrote it in Spanish without realizing it.
I have read that the dose of fz depends on the proportion of fat a person has in their body and not the total weight ... I don't know.
Another thought: if fz starves cancer cells, it makes sense to take it every day. Or does fz still working during the 4 days that it is not taken? ...
Another thought: talking about serrapeptase, proteolytic enzymes (or salicylic acid) are excellent to add to this protocol, because they dissolve the cover of tumors and make them more vulnerable to fz.
Lysine supplements can kill viruses that cancer cells release into the bloodstream when they die. Lysine relieve some symptoms of die of, like fever or herpes.
Snooky, good for you. Fenben will work better than taxol for you.
Frisky: enjoy your beautiful weekend!

IMO Joes's FenBen results do not prove all cancer is the same or behaves the same, rather it proves that attacking cancer stem cells CSCs (as fenben does) is the key to curing this disease, rather than pushing to remission.
0 -
okay ladies, let's see if we can reach a consensus.
So far we have, therapy works on all cancers because it attacks the stem cells, doesn't need fat to be absorbed but food is important, and the amount taken is not pivotal for its effectiveness. More important to proper dosing is the amount of body fat in the patient. Also, serrapeptase and l-lysine are useful supplements
What else do we know that I'm forgetting?
Please keep your eyes open for cases that disprove or details we can add to this list...we have to keep our knowledge base updated
Happy weekend to all...

The way I understand it is, it's important to have the days off so that your liver has time to recover from all the filtering of the dead cancer cells. Need to keep liver healthy and functioning.
Also, " Ted" claimed that aspirin unmasked cancer so that your immune system could recognize and kill it. He said putting aspirin in water and letting it dissolve protected the stomach. Ted was hugh on using L-lysine because it caused your white blood cells to go into overdrive and attack the cancer. Here again, you need to be careful managing the die-off.
Beta Glutens is excellent to take. (mushrooms) But not just any brand. Looking for my notes on the brand most highly recommended to take and the research regarding it. Our immune systems need to be managed carefully.
Cancer cell die-off is one of the things that the medical profession seems not to pay any attention to.
Keeping your bowels moving is huge. Get them to move two or three times per day. Water fasting, ( use lemon in it) one day per week recommended.
I know we are repeating a lot of this info. But there's a lot to remember in order to stay healthy. (outside of cancer)
Get enough good quality sleep! That's when out body heals.

I wonder if tumor die off is why my liver enzymes went high during chemo. My MO actually tested me for hepatitis. Maybe it was from dying cancer?
0 -
Also I wouldn't presume that dose is not important... the lady w BC from Joe's FB -- a page or so back-- she got results with a much higher dose than her initial dose. So maybe large-enough dose is important?
0 -
Snooky, when you said "Ted", do you mean Ted from Earthclinic?
0 -
Santa, Absolutely not sure about the dose. My brain goes to dosage depends on how much tumor burden each person has? I'm just not sure. But, I know what worked for Joe.....I'm using him for my model. Also, the folks who are using the high doses on Joe's page seem to be the really late stage patients. Joes says that's the sadest thing he deals with. The one's who wait too late to take the protocol and then they jump in trying to make up for lost time.
There are three or four ? of us in the critical time phase where things should start showing up. The 10-20 week window. So far, I've seen my tumor marker plunge.
Now, I'm getting gut and bowel issues. BUT, Is it from Fenben or the Taxol?
0 -
Sonia, Absolutely, that's who I mean

Oh ladies, you are all full of so much information. I will start FZ on Tuesday, then I will be done with antibiotics and a week off of Xeloda. I'm thinking of doing 1 Milk Thistle until then, and then I will up to 2 a day.
From the gal Bigit….I was doing 2 grams in the morning and 2 grams at dinner. I used a bit less then 1 gram for the patch. Also I will have to upload all the pills I've been taking . .there are a lot, plus I've been doing a keto diet.

Oh, I keep forgetting to tell this group what the administrators think of Fenben becoming unavailable to cancer patients. They say it will not happen. We are a small group. As Frisky points out, not many people believe in this, or they are waiting "to see". His group says that this drug is and has been a large part of the veterinary drug arsenal and that if it becomes unavailable or extremely expensive that this group will rise up to fight it.

Snooky, taxol gave me diarrhea (it increased as the weeks went by). My MO change my diet, she also prescribed me bismuto cream, but towards the end of the treatment, everything I ate was going down the toilet. It took me a while to normalize my intestines.
Ted is my favorite ever! His cure for breast cancer is lysine + salicylic acid + oral vit c. Now you have confused me ....
whatever is! Markers going down are a good sign, so what you're doing, you're doing well 😘

Snooky what you mean gut and bowels issues? Indigestion? Improper assimilation? Gas, Aches and pains?
My system got permanentmessed up by the radiations I received once....before I eat I have to take proteolytic enzymes otherwise is gas, aches and pains.
If I remember correctly, they found during mice trials with FZ that it was not effective against cancer cells by itself, vitamin E had to be taken at the same time. This I'm certain of
I think, this is what Sonia is recommending

Sonia, thanks for the info about Taxol! I was getting worried. Ted had many cures for various cancers. He absolutely treated the person and not the disease. But his one main thing across the board for all cancers was NO SUGAR, he wasn't in favor of carbs at all. He wanted blood sugar below 90 at least. His info can be very confusing.
Taking Vit C scares me. I've read that you need just the right amount. Too little, I've read, feeds cancer. Ted, did not even allow most fruits. He loved limes though... in water all day long. His favorite detox agent was cilantro. Although he said he hated to tell that to people because if you ate too much and detoxed too fast, you'd get too sick.
0 -
My TM's go up every 6 weeks, but scans only show some progression in the bones. My onc is also about treating the patient, or should I say person, instead of the cancer. And a lot of doctors won't even do TM's. I just insist on them....remember, my ship!

Frisky.....A sick feeling in my stomach, so much so that even the thought of eating is a huge tune off. Sometimes baking soda/ water helps. My bowels are very lose and undependable.
I want to do a good detox and get the taxol out of me, but just thinking about it takes my energy away. (this is not like me...usually I love detoxing for the feel good benefits after)
I've tried to see if this is only on Fenben days, but it doesn't seem to be. I'm considering going on a ten day brown rice fast. I might well be eating something that I'm allergic to since in the beginning of chemo my appetite was huge and I did not watch my diet at all. But, I can't take a huge weight lose right now.
Thanks for the info on pink bismuth ….I'm going to get some.

Snooky, have you heard of the BRAT diet? Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast.

For those who are considering increasing the dose of FZ, I just read this on the fz safety paper (for liquid version): "It can be administered up to 100 time larger amount than the indicated dose without any signs of intolerance, it is atoxic to humans and animals " (sorry about the traslation, I hope you understand the idea)

I had the same feelings for10 days or so. I attributed it to fenben. I stopped taking fenben this week and I am not having the same problems.
