I thought it might be fun to start a thread on what we are having, making or had for dinner.  Sometimes it is the best tuna steak you ever had, sometimes it's a can of soup.  But we all do it every night in some form or another.  Maybe we can give each other ideas on what to make, or bitch about what we had, or the fact that we did enjoy that grilled cheese with tomato soup.

Every night my husband comes home and says "whats for dinner?"  no matter what I say he always says "sounds good!"  even if I say it's a 'fend for yourself night'. :)

Lacey,

I had a similar amnesia moment the first vacation we took post-treatment. We were going to the beach and sometimes the humidity makes my hands swell so I removed my rings, including my engagement and wedding rings. I remembered thinking the place I was putting them was somewhere where no one would ever look!

Well, by the time we got back I was included in the group who would never think to look there..lol! I had no idea where I had put them! Didn't want to tell DH so was freaking out for a couple days as I looked everywhere I could think of. Was about to throw in the towel and fess up to DH when, much to my surprise, I grabbed an oven mitt out of the drawer to get something out of the oven and my rings flew out all over the floor!! Was so happy and DH was none the wiser...lol!

Of course you now all now know where to check at my house!

Seaside - DD has been known to put her spare car key in the stinkiest pair of boots she owns.  Used to work for a doc who hid her ring in a hideous vase.

Lacey - I love jump ups.  We've been eating them since Sunday.  Had enough Spanish rice for an army.  I had to make it for ladies Bible study yesterday and of course had to test it on DH before making it for real.  So we had ham, Spanish rice, broccoli and fruit salad.  We had rec'd a Honey Baked 1/2 ham for Christmas, frozen and had not eaten any.  Cut it frozen with a hack saw into thirds.  What a production with a few choice words from DH.  I think he's had enough ham for a while, even only 1/3 of a 1/2 (is that 1/6 of a ham?).  Don't know what it will be tonight.   I do have asparagus for me that I need to cook or roast maybe.  At least it will add to the warmth in here.

Cold, 45 degrees and raining off/on all day.  Looks like spring outside until you step out there.  Doesn't help that I still have to go out every 2-3 hours to tie up mama and let baby goat nurse.  Carole are you getting this cold too?

Michelle - you and Debra look like you're having such a good time.

Laurie - I hope your time on vacay will help your anxiety.  Please treat yourself well.  You do so much for your kids, I can tell.  About DA, I did the same thing when Season 3 started on PBS and have already done some of the same thing for Season 4 under production.  New series started this week "Mr. Selfridge" about a London department store.  I will prob. watch it, but not as enthusiastically as DA.
