OMGosh....I just sat here and read all the posts and have to say....you are a F-U-N-N-Y group of women!!!
Hugs for all the good and the bad. I really do just love this thread. I'm so glad that everybody continues to participate.....not for the "numbers" but for the laughter.
I always know that when I'm down, I can come here and yes....find suckiness....but more importantly, the humor with which all seem to handle it....to make me feel better.
Saint, are you a stand-up comic in real life? Your "that you can find again" was the LMAO on my laughter cake from reading all the other posts.
I love you all so much.
Hugs, Traci
PS I made my scan appt. (Onc forced) Flying back to FL on/around 5/15. Deep sigh. Oh well, at least my mom is happy. (She lives there.)

Thanks everybody for all the cheers!!!!
Saint, you said it, girlfriend, about the car accident. I kept thinking to myself that Somebody In Charge sure has a warped sense of humor, and NO, I didn't need to be reminded of how cancer and life/death keeps everything else in perspective!!! I didn't even wait for the cops to show up. I was all "here's my info, gimme yours, I'll go to the cops later." Nuthin and noone was gonna make me late for my doctor's appointment this morning or keep me from picking up my mamm report!!! BTW, the cops didn't even have a report form that could accommodate more than two cars and drivers!! I had to put my description and info on a "continuation sheet."
Dream! How are ya, sweetie??
Anybody heard from Diane lately?? I never did hear back from Wish. How are you girls??
Love and hugs to all,
Kathi

Did you pick up a low-rise pair and try to make them a high-rise? I've done THAT one! Or did you accidentally pick up one that isn't stretchy? I've never made THAT mistake!
0 -
I like stretchy!

0 -

A big THAT SUCKS to anyone that needs it! Traci, glad you are going for the scan, sorry you don't want to. At least you'll see your Mom, and get a Mom hug, which differ from all other hugs on the planet, don't you agree? KAK, great for the mammo, sorry for the pileup--especially the new, pristine car...saint, hope the hip is okay, Nancy, yeay for normal aging eyesight (me too)....sorry for anybody I am forgetting.
My IOS--Bilateral DIEP resonstruction on 4/15, still really in a lot of pain. Healing is happening, but slowly. Haven't had the energy to post, resting a lot, taking my pain meds.
My SOI--I love my reconstruction, the ps listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted.
Life is soooo good.
Love you girls.

Hi everyone,
I have a favor to ask all of you today. I want to do a card shower for one of our beautiful sisters called suecco (Sue) who is stage IV. I just happened to read her post and it broke my heart. This is what she posted on the Palliative Therapy board.
my wonderful sisters, the end is seemingly near for me now, thank god i made a start on momentos what funeral arrangements I want etc, wont take much to finish it now so thats on my list for tomorrow, thanks to everyone on this thread for you thoughts and insight into these now very important things, my heart is breaking for my kids, the sit down will be any day now the cancer is now 70% of my liver, realisticly we are looking at weeks, i havent given up, i am trying taxol which will either send my liver into complete failure or may give my a prescious few weeks more.
As some of you may know, I have been managing the list of people's contact information called "Central Address Book". Her address is there. It's a password protected webiste and if you do have access, you can find her address there. If not, just PM me.
I am sorry for intruding but I had to post this here because this is one of very, very few threads that are safe from ugly stuff. I could have posted this on the Mets board but just wanted to do this without letting her know.
Thanks in advance,
Fumi

Kathi, glad the mammo. was NEGATIVE!! Sorry about the car accident, though.
Sue

Fumi,
Could you give me her address? Please? I'll pm you!

It's ALL crap. From the moment the diagnosis is uttered to the friends that drop off the radar, it's all CRAP.

(((Sue))) I'm so happy your happy with your reconstruction!!!! That's so great.
Fumi, count me in. So nice of you to do that, and so good to see you!
Sh*t....I can't remember what I just read.....GAWD..... Navy and Barbe are sharing SO's?? Somebody's jeans didn't fit (welcome to my world)....Kathy's doin' good (woo hoo!!) and since I can scroll up.....
Amen Hoolia.
Ivory, that's what my GP said (she's my age) then she said "let me introduce you to Xanax". I love that woman.
Hugs, Traci

Traci, navy and I aren't sharing SO's ! My DH doesn't have MOJO and navy's GF does! I'm willing to go where the wind blows......
0 -
Oh Geeze, I hope this doesn't get out on the other threads...they might try to shut us down!
Double Amen Hoolia...my BS told me "you won't have to do chemo and you will be cured". While I appreciate someone who is optomistic, I can't stand people who try to blow sunshine up your *** instead of telling you the cold hard truth. Since I ended up doing A/C AND TAXOL...I really think my BS should think before she opens her fn mouth next time. My onc however, is all about better living through pharmaceuticals so God bless her!
Sue...how you felling girl? I hope you are healing well and the pain is subsiding...
HARLEY!!!! How the heck are you???? It's so good to see your smiling face...now if only we could get Shirley back over here it would be just like the old days
I am off to get my annual OB exam. Gotta go wash and polish all the important parts for that! Treatment afterwards...think I'll stop at the bakery for a slice of chocolate cake in between appointments...no one should have to put their legs up in stirrups AND get cancer treatments on the same day. There oughta be a law!!

Navy,
I'll gladly sign a petition to ban that for ya!!! That's just wrong!
Hugs to all,
Trish

Came here FIRST so when my hip won't let me sit any longer at least I'll have posted! Speaking of my hip----TWO HOUR MRI today---if I hadn't been in pain b4 I sure was after THAT! LOL
Traci--make that Fla trip into a big vacation! Plan some GOOD stuff & enjoy! (I hear there are some fine men-watching viewing areas in Fla!!!)
Sue---YEAH for docs who listen -waiting for pix of your new babies!! Hahah---just kidding, but the way some ppl are going on here it might not be so surprising!!!
Navy & Barbe! Somebody's gonna call the boards police!!!!! Navy-so there ARE some things you won't share with your sistas huh??? Barbe-there are names for the girls who go "where the wind blows" ROTFLMAO!!!!!
Ivory--that sux, but you made me LOL! HUGS
HARLEY!!!!! Long time, girl! How are you?? Hope you're back to stay!
Hooli---sorry--yep====compost happens for sure!
Fumi---thanx for heading that up. It's wonderful of you to think of doing that! HUGS
MZ---my thoughts EXACTLY!
Have you all heard the joke about the busy mom of little princesses who had to rush to her anual pap test? She grabbed a wet washcloth from the sink & did a quick "clean-up" When she got to the doc he looked at her No-No & said, "oh, we celebrating something today?" She didn't understand til she got home & one of her princesses was upset cuz she couldn't find her glitter. Mom asked, "Where was it last, Honey?" & the little girl said, "In a washcloth on the bathroom sink..."
Hugs all--gonna go swallow a percocet & hope for the best! Be well & stay strong!

BTW---dream's bd is tomorrow & I put up a thread in this forum to share our wishes with her!

I don't know if this should be an IOS or an SOI - My dd has a friend who works at our local CVS. They just got a list of the store's top 25 customers. These top 25 customers will be getting a letter soon. Apparently, I am #12. I don't know if this is just for your general, run-of-the-mill, stuff or if it includes Rx. I hope it includes Rx, because I would hate to think I spend more than 80% of the rest of my community on junk. On the other hand, I'm not sure it's a good thing to spend more than 80% of my community on Rx, too.
This is a definite SOI - dd had her MRI today and the doctor called this afternoon and said it was normal - no microadenoma.

Navygirl,
Hi there! Good to see you, too! How'd your GYN visit go? UGH! I HATE those kind of dr. visits! I always feel so VIOLATED, after one of those 'NASTY' exams!!
I know that Shirley has been having her share of problems with certain posters who shall remain nameless reporting her posts as being offensive... really, Shirley Hughes doesn't have an offensive bone in her body!!
Saint,
Yep, I'm BACK! You can't get rid of me too easily! sorry to hear about your 2 hour MRI! That sux!!
My IOS is this:
Last week, I went for my EVERY TWO YEAR EYE EXAM, only to be told by the dr. that SHE recommends that everyone who's on Tamoxifen get visual fields tests EVERY YEAR, because "Tamoxifen can cause.... CHANGES TO THE MACULA!" OMG! Now, all I know about MACULA problems is.... Macular Degeneration, and this causes..... BLINDNESS!! So, now I'm gonna go blind, because I had to take Tamoxifen to prevent bc mets?!!! WTF?
Hugs all,
Harley
In fact, the fights and all the other crap that has been going on here at bc.org had me so upset, that is why I was staying away for awhile. But I really MISS you guys!, so I hope you'll have me back!!

Saint, I REMEMBER that Readers Digest post about the glitter cloth! I thought of it when Navygirl mentioned she had to go.hehehehehehe I've repeated that story many times. Too cool that you mentioned it here, I didn't think I could relate it as well as you did.
Momma, you're not going to lose your hoo hoo, just the breeding part of it. Otherwise you couldn't do the woo hoo!
What is a bd? That's my initials so I can't think about anything else (it's all about me, isn't it?).
Wa' sux to everyone else.
