    WhaSux?.......or more precisely: WhaSex???????? LOL

I have been away so long it took me 2 visits to catch up & now....you guessed it- I CAN"T REMEMBER $@&%!!!

I am so glad you feel better coonie! I have always said that to feel good I need 3 things: no money problems, no pain & no relationship problems. Remove any one of these & I start to wobble. I have been in pain for almost 3 weeks--but it is so much easier without that dark cloud in my head!!!  That visit to the University really helped. Even tho he didn't affect my physical pain the mental anguish of "not knowing" is gone!

After talking to Luann last week I had my onc switch me from gaba pentin to lyrica. It seems to be helping the pain, but the best thing is: My ever-present chemo fatigue has been absent all week & I am sleeping about 6-7 hours instead of 10-12! Lyrica is supposed to make you tired. My onc nurse (who is also a friend) stopped by last nite & was LOL at my news. Go figure-I may be weird, but I'll take this se for sure!!

New baby (kitten) is doing well. On day 3, but he still has a lusty meow & nurses aggressively! I wish you all could hear his purr! Sounds like an old clock ticking under a pillow & does something wonderful for my soul!

Happy weekend everyone----here's to getting what you need to make it so!

HUGS be well & stay strong

Connie- so glad you're feeling better, I'm all for help even if its in pill form, afterall thats why their there! My ds is in Savannah, we were just down last month for 21st birthday visit. So pretty, enjoy the flowers.

Saint- we had a litter of 5 in our garage a few yrs back- less than a week, eyes still closed. it was still cold out, we were able to crate the bunch plus mama and bring them inside. Turned out mama was sick and not nursing well, I suspect that being indoors and all also a stress. We hand fed these cuties and watched them grow. So sweet. Our dining room became the cat house. At the time we also has friends living with us (fam of 4) so it was quite lively for a while :D

Heres to a good, sunny day

Ok. I do not need to see the footage of Nikki and Amy.  I just wanted to go back and say my piece and I couldnt find it.  What that has to do with SEX is beyond me.  I hope that if you want it you get it and if you dont, you have nausea

    Dream, the footage has nothing to do with sex!!!  LOL!   The remarks about sex were in response to Connie's SOI and Barbe's comments.  {{{{{{{{{{Dream}}}}}}}}}}}

    Dream,

I also saw that footage, and I think it is just terrible!  This is SUPPOSED to be a place where we can go for support, and bond with women who have a common experience, trying to get our life back after bc.

I really think that SOME people just like to cause trouble, and I try to steer clear of these people!

    ok... enough said!

    Dream,   sending (((HUGS)))  your way!!

    Kathi,

    See you on FB!!

Big IOS (for me, anyway) today.  My son was told last night that he is being deployed to Iraq.  They will tell him on Monday when he goes and for how long.  He is currently stationed in Portsmouth, but has a wife and house in Virginia Beach.  He also has been caring for my disabled son for the last 2 years.  Being that he is in the Navy, we hoped he would be deployed at Sea, but because he is a corpsman/surgical tech, they said he will be on ground - either at a hospital or up front with the Marines.  We knew he was going to be deployed sooner or later - that's what happens when you're in the Navy - but did it have to be Iraq?  I guess someone has to go.  He's planning on making a career of the Navy.  Of course, I can't think in the present.  I'm already wondering that, if I progress, will they let him come home for the funeral?  We're hoping they give him enough time to come home and say goodbye before he leaves.

On the SOI front, we (dd) got a kitten on Easter Sunday from our Pastor.  She is a cuddly cutie and there's nothing more comforting than a soft little kitten purring on your chest.

    Jane,

My prayers are with you and your son. It is truely a noble thing he is doing, and also a scary thing for all, including the families that are here supporting their loved ones. My hat is off to your son and to you and your family. You must have done a wonderful job raising your children.

My sister is getting ready to retire from the Navy after a 30 yr career. I am so proud of her and all those that decide to do this. I am also very humbled that they do this, for us, for people they have never met, to help keep us safe.

    Prayers and gentle hugs,

    Elaine

Jane, please thank your son for me. I always stop people in uniform and thank them. They are very surprised when I do, but I think it's important. I like when they have their kids with them and the kids see what respect an adult has for their parent. I'm sure it is a big part of their day when this happens and I like being part of it! Laughing

Hi all...been one of those lazy days where nothing gets done - well, I did manage to clean out my closet of unused clothes, but that's about the extent of it.

My herceptin has once again gone past nausea and had me puking...yum. Gotta love it. I gotta figure something out if I'm gonna make it another 4 1/2 months.

Jane, I feel for you...you'd think he'd be safe being in the Navy but alas...what is common sense isn't always how it works. I pray he is safe and far from any action. Being in the military is a great sacrifice and you can be proud he is willing to do it.

Shout out to LisaSDCA...thinking of you and wondering where you've been lately...I hope all is well.

Off to surf...I hope everyone is having a peaceful weekend!

I'll be thinking of your son, and hope he is back home, safe, in the U.S. before too long!!

Yes, his service to this country IS very important!!

    Hugs

I was sitting at a gate in the Atlanta airport one day, waiting to go somewhere, when I noticed a group of people dressed in military uniforms (BDU's).  They were waiting at a gate on the other side of the main hallway.

Their plane was announced before mine.  When the gate attendant made the announcement, she mentioned that there would be quite a few men and women from the military aboard that flight, and they were being deployed to Iraq.  She said, "I wonder if we could let them know how grateful we are for their sacrifice?"

The whole place--I swear, that whole end of the concourse--burst into loud applause. It brought tears to my eyes.

I am so glad she did that! Some how we have forgotten to be proud of our country and those that serve her. Why is it that we (people in general, not us specifically) are all sort of tied up in our own little world and not open to whats out there, talking w/strangers (who are only strangers once), so on and so for?  Its kind of sad.

My dd is a junior in Girl Scouts and last month handed out GS cookies to troops coming back to the states for either leave or transfers.  They came from Afganistan, Iraq and other places.  I was in tears as they came through the door.  The girls learned a valuable lesson that morning as they handed out the boxes of cookies.

    God's blessings to all!

    Hugs, Trish

SOI ALERT!  SOI ALERT!  Bobby's Chief told him this morning that his orders were cancelled.  He's not going to Iraq.  At least not now.  He's still next up to go, and he actually sounded disappointed that his orders were cancelled...but his mom's not.

Yay for you Jane...here or there, he's still serving and I hope he knows that!

Ok ladies, I have a confession. I am addicted to Mafia Wars...it's one of those online games on facebook. I played for hours last night, and when I woke up...I though, man  I can't wait to come home and play again! It's like crack at your keyboard! On the plus side, I can not eat, drink or smoke while I'm playing so I could rationalize that it's part of my new fitness program....

Ugh, gotta work...not much on my plate today - which is actually a bad thing because time just d-r-a-g-s when I am slow...but I HAVE A JOB. :)

Have a good day ladies (((HUGS))) to all

I am so glad I am not alone.  If I had my way, I would just lay in bed and become one of those 1000lb people who they have to take out of the house with a crane.

You have made me laugh in spite of myself.

    Pam, what did I miss??

I just watched a special on that poor guy that they had to bust a hole in the exterior wall of his home to get him into the hospital. That's so weird you mention that.

((((hugs)))) Sorry I missed your post...
