KB870, sorry about your infection. I am the queen of alergic reactions and such....even when it seems like it will not end, it will. Stay mentally strong so that your body can fight off that infection.

KB that is awful, hope you feel better soon.
LB I know a girl who did that and after she completed her 200 hours and she did a few practice classes she decided she didn't want to teach, now she's training for a marathon - I guess it's the goal with her.
Vargadoll I'm so sorry about your poor DD she's really been through the wringer.
Chris hope you get to see the doctor soon.
Honey as much as I go to classes I also have Les Mills On Demand you have so many class choices, I use it for the Shbam dance classes, if you ever would like to try it they do a 10 day free triall or at the moment they have a deal where a current member can get a code and you can get 30 days free.
Ruth, love the pictures it looks like you are having a fun time.
Have been pretty good exercise wise this week, the only thing that bothers me with the Fitbit is that is doesn't record "steps" when I'm on the bike, my heart rate is in cardio but no "steps" boo hoo oh and the band makes my wrist itchy after a while. Well you would never know it was winter here in Southern California today it has been so hot I had to turn the air conditioning on in my car contrasted with yesterday when I had the seat heater on and the heat blasting - no wonder everyone is sick.

Cheryl, I know few who went through the YTT and decided they would rather attend a yoga class than teach one. I'm into yoga & movement and this training instructor focuses on both . Ruth, love seeing the blue skies! Vargadoll, hope your daughter is feeling better this week, you too KB. Good on the weight loss Meow13! cdv, hope you get squared away soon by the cardiologist. Heidi - that is absolute breathtaking! I thought it was the Matterhorn when I first looked at it. Your picture is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!!

Wow Heidi! That is beautiful!
Hi ladies! I was MIA last week. No workouts so nothing to report. My skin broke down pretty bad in some spots from radiation and I took a break and just let it heal. One bad area was my underarm area and my RO did not want me to have any friction in that area so I thought giving it a good few days to heAl would be better for the long term. I have a half marathon training plan that starts in a few weeks! Good news is I received my last boost on Friday. I have finished all my treatments and my skin is beginning to heal nicely. I woke up this morning with a renewed sense of gratitude. Feeling more like myself again.
Not sure if I will run for a few more days but will get a circuit workout out in today and hopefully a walk on treadmill. Our temps have plummeted again. Ruth enjoy that sunshine and beautiful weather for me!

Only 6,600 steps but all of it snowshoeing over surprisingly rough terrain. Fun: with a friend and her two reindeer dogs! But that irritated my already sore shoulder so much, I cancelled out of to ight’s SPS class, because although that’s great for my back, it’s hard on the shoulders

Beautiful picture, Heidi (although being in Arizona right now, I'm not tempted to join you!). DH, me (and a cactus for Moth) at a cowboy bar....people ride in on their horses!

Beautiful mountain/ desert photos.
Tessu, what's a reindeer dog?
Thirty mins of yoga this afternoon; jury duty tomorrow. 😜🤡😶0 -
Falconer, I am not going to be able to do it. I had a full caselaod at work today and I fell asleep 10 minutes after being home. I just don't have my endurance up yet. Wish I could!
Do you live near Utica?

Snickers, your eyes did not deceive you. That IS the Matterhorn. I was on the Little Matterhorn across from it at the highest summit station in Europe at about 3,900 meters above sea level. It was really tough to ski the moguls up there.
Big congrats on finishing treatment, runnermom.
Thanks for the link, Lilac. I did not know that our no. 1 killer is heart disease.
Rest day yesterday. Salsa tonight.

LB- thank you for sharing the article. I so appreciate all the information that is shared on this thread. I get a little overwhelmed and to have little bits and pieces to read here is perfect dose of helpful readings!
Runnermom- yay!!! A finish line!
2Fun- you will get there! (We can do it together! )
My girl is feeling much better. I have not taken her out in over a week. We both have cabin fever. She is waking up around 1:30 every morning and I think the cabin fever is the culprit! So I have had 6 hours sleep since Sunday morning.
We have icy roads and vicious winds today. Stay warm! Let's get those steps in!

love the pictures!
Ruth that's a monster huge cactus! Amazing!
congrats Runnermom on finishing treatment - you're inspiring!
vargadoll - glad your girl is better
I think today I will haul up my crappy exercise bike and do 30 min while watching Grace and Frankie.0 -
Been MIA here - last weekend was our annual soupy making weekend, so I had a houseful of company. Soupy is short for sopresetta - a cold cured pork sausage, of which we have over 200 sticks hanging in the attic of our garage. Everyone helps (and pays) and gets a share. With DH frosbitten fingers, he was limited in what he could do, so I wound up getting to do all the washing up, for which he was very grateful. Did get a nice cold walk on the beach yesterday with our last remaining houseguest, and even though we had dusting to 2 inches predicted overnight, woke up to about 7 inches ugh. So my exercise today was shovel and sculpt! And later trying to get the house recovered from all the company. Housework never ends.

Had my two week pre-op physical before second total knee replacement (Left knee this time) scheduled 2/13. All was well, EXCEPT that they found a non-symptomatic UTI... yuck. I didn't even have a fever. However, I felt a bit cruddy, like the jet lag from my trip wouldn't go away. Now I know why....taking antibiotics and should be fine by the surgery date, doc says....
So, I rested yesterday....it is sunny and (too) warm here (we need rain, none in the forecast for at last two weeks at the height of our rainy season!)...so will go for a walk today...

Two work days into the week and two classes down. Last night the slow/long pose yoga and at lunch gentle/power yoga (love the new name)!
Have my 6 month physical with GP tomorrow and bone density on Friday. I am two years on Arimidex and some of my blood numbers are getting weird. The bone density on Friday will be the final piece of making the decision to continue or modify. I was good for density when I started this...will report back when I know more.
Happy to get the exercise as I think it helps me with doing better in the cold/flu season. Love the pics from the warm and cold places! Best to all, TT

Just got back from 1hr on the treadmill 3.5 miles. Need to enter it on my chart.

Sorry ladies, I used the term "reindeer dog" as a direct translation from the Finnish "porokoira". I didn't realize the English name is actually Lapponian Herder dog. Here's a link with pics and some history of this breed:

Had my second ”official” snowshoeing class, walked all over downtown, then did Pilates this evening. Was disappointed that all that only gave me 8K steps — but that’s still exercise

2Fun,
I understand how you feel. Don't sweat it! I live in Ulster County but my daughter is a student in Syracuse.0 -
Tessu are you just starting to snowshoe? That is something I want to learn how to do!!
60 min on treadmill after work. 35 min of running and walked warm up and cool down. Going to do some yoga before bed.

My oncologist keeps telling me that the best thing I can do is to keep walking!!! I quit AIs almost 8 years ago due to the side effects....I endured them for 3 1/2 years. Walking is easy and something I enjoy, especially outside. Though I haven't been making my 15k most days, but I do get past 10K. Once the days get longer I will be back at it.
Sunday my DH, Mom's 2 care takers and I packed up her apt, filling a 10 foot UHaul and now my garage is full. I finished up yesterday and turned in the keys. I am donating Mom's clothes and dishes and a couple pieces of furniture. Keeping the special things, though not sure where I will put the things...my house is full and barely any wall space. Will keep some of the art work, but not sure what to do with the rest, which there is quite a bit. I need to find a place for the oil paintings of my grandparents that was done in the late 1950s. Giving all the "medical" related supplies to the support group or Parkinson's Association. Mom had PSP but it gets misdiagnosed initially as Parkinson's. Loosing Mom has been much harder than I ever imagined. I miss her so much. It was so different when Dad passed away. I keep wanted to tell her that someone send a card or asked about her. I know Mom hears and sees it from above.
Thanks for everyones kind words. Karen

Karen, walking certainly will help your overall health. Obviously AI drugs will shut down the estrogen starving out the cancer. But I like you didn't do the full 5 years, I quit at 4 years from a side effect that scared to me more than cancer. My right eye suffered severely on exemestane I thought I was going to lose my sight in that eye. It good to know your 8 years out from treatment and no cancer. I hope I do the same.

Just enjoyed our last day in Arizona. I will try to get in one more walk in the mild, sunny weather before I go back to the icy north.

The reindeer dog is gorgeous. Ruth I saw the forecast for ND and you need to put your flip flops away, you're not going to need them
What a beautiful moon 2FUN.
Tonight did my 30 minute Sprint class. I want to say that my resting heart rate used to be 72 bpm but since I activated the old Fitbit my resting HR is now 64 bpm, I attribute it to the HIIT training I've been doing, 2 or 3 Sprint classes and a Grit class each week.
