Saltmarsh, which Boston neighborhood do you live in? I moved to Kansas City from the South End :)

Flowers always lift my spirits!! Speaking of flowers; the forecast says that it's okay to plant, so I am off to buy a bunch of annuals to put in between my perennials, and some hanging baskets, and some peppers, and who knows what else!! Pound & Zumba tonight.

LB: Where are you? I miss you!

Jinx: You certainly deserve those lovely roses!

Octo: I feel your frustration. Glad you're no longer totally bound to the wheelchair.

Heidi: Have fun on your paddleboard!

edj: How nice of you to cheer for each of the runners.

Saltmarsh: Wow! You got some great equipment for your future exercise. I'm impressed with your walking.

Ruth: Your yard will be quite colorful once you get all your flowers/plants.

Karen: I'm very nervous for your dd. Waiting for you to return to the Internet for an update.

Hi Everyone. Push mowed for 90 minutes today. I was tired when I started but by the end my energy was back in full force. Usually it's the other way around.

I made a paper quilling stork to use as a tag for a baby shower present for my nephew. The hardest part about it was the baby bundle.

Karen- you and your DD are in my thoughts. I can’t imagine how she’s focusing on schoolwork with all that’s going on.

Still dealing with muscle spasm issues and not able to get much exercise. Took a short walk yesterday and have stabbing pain in my knee today. Need to reach back out to my MD because it isn’t getting any better.

    Wonderland, you are so creative!

Lilac, I hope you are just really busy & all is okay.

Ginger, hope you can get some answers from your MD.

I flower shopped all morning, planted all afternoon, and went to my classes.....23,000 steps in all. I'm tired!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone- waving at you from a sunny, fresh clear blue sky morning here in jolly old England! Wonderland, you are so creative and clever. Ruth, Bruno is the most adorable and interesting that drugs don't make a dent in his Tigger energy. Karen, it is scary to read what your daughter is going through - it's awful and horrific for Palestinians as well. Jinx, lovely roses and good to read you have stayed active and working during this treatment w/not so pleasant side effects. Edj, I could just imagine you cheering on those lone tired runners last weekend helping them to dig deep to finish! Saltmarsh, keep uneventful healing progressing (I've learned over the years here at BCO that 'uneventful' is excellent!). Try not to over do it, as this is that weird time before you get the green light - be gentle. HeidiHill, you give me a chuckle with your exercise obsessions - I think you are amazing. Octo, Yay you are walking and getting better - out of the wheelchair! Ginger, Badger & Trm Tab - big wave to you.

It's supposed to start raining at 1pm yet at 7:30am it's bird-chirpy.happy. I have been busy getting ducks in a row as gyms opened yesterday for classes finally as we have been unable to teach f2f classes since November. I have 3 classes today, Pilates, yin yoga and yoga for cancer. The Pilates and yin yoga are both f2f & live streamed and yoga for cancer is across town at a community center and have 2 people. It's starting out low - hopefully it will build. I've learned the current release Bodybalace/flow #91 to teach on Friday & Saturday and It's a super good one. I'm not feeling totally in shape and of course that itty bitty shitty committee in my head tells me that no one want's to see this old bag in front of the studio teaching. Oh the things to overcome in my head - not a pretty place to be. Let's keep at it!

I would LOVE to be in the studio with you teaching, Lilac!!!

I am off in hunt of some more flowers to fill in the empty spaces. Barre Sculpt and Yoga tonight. Here's Bruno, the hole digger and inspector.

I, too, wish I could take a class from you LB!

Got in nearly 5 3/4 mile run this morning--it was very, very humid and I think I needed gills. No way to shed the heat as it was just too humid. I'll be glad when we're back to a little bit more normal May conditions.

Lilac, I would love to be a student in studio with you teaching! How's your DH? I hope he is well.

Karen, my thoughts are with you and your family. When I watch the news, I say a silent prayer for your daughter.

Went to visit MIL yesterday morning as DH worked Sat & Sun. Spent the afternoon digging in the dirt. Several years ago, we placed some large flat rocks in front of our little garden area to delineate it. Well, dirt blew over the rocks then the grass encroached. No worries except this year we wanted to expand the space. So I spent several hours busting sod and unearthing rocks. Hard work but now we have twice the space. The back half, where we had tomatoes last year, is tall annuals (zinnias and sunflowers from last year's seed heads), and the front half is veggies. Placed the rocks mid-garden along the dividing line for visual appeal and to make weeding and deadheading easier. Planted two types of heirloom tomatoes: Brandywine and Mortgage Lifter. The heirlooms do better in our soil than the newer types. I may go back for some short annuals to plant along the rocks. Since I sowed seeds, it's just bare dirt and I'd like some color.

Aside from the garden area, we have a flower bed where I planted marigolds, snapdragons, and a gorgeous lemon-yellow bracteantha aka strawflower. It will look like this when mature. Will look nice next to the perennial daisies, one of which is a frilly Shasta.

It's going to get warm here soon but we've had a nice stretch of cool weather. It's been dry but it just started to rain.

Got in a 4 1/4 mile run this morning--I didn't plan to run today since I did nearly 6 yesterday. But it wasn't raining and it will be raining a lot through Friday morning so I got out there.

And I'm so excited--I've got my first session with one of the owners of We Build 4 Life next Wednesday!!! They specialize in working with people who've had cancer so I am really stoked.

    Just jumping in here.

My morning begins with 30 minutes of "Five Elements Qigong." Several basic walks during the day with our dog. Late afternoon have been doing 30 minutes on exercise bike, but hope to move to actual bike now that weather is shifting.

Hi Stacy and Jules welcome and Jules, I love qigong. Ruth, WWW birthday woman looks great as do all of you! Edj, do have Sami as your trainer - she is legend, you are so lucky! Badger, dh has his up and downs. It's his heart- a genetic condition. What it is, his name has been put forward for a consulting for a heart transplant. Due to Covid, we think the initial appointment which was put in the NHS system more than a month will take a bit of time. They don't do this on private insurance here - it's only NHS and referred to The Royal Papworth. So he/we have been waiting. We shall see - all in the fullness of time as my breast oncologist used say.

Thank you for all your support for my first day back teaching - so kind. It was wonderful - enjoyed seeing the Pink Ribbon Pilates woman and a newbie in treatment came along as well. From my Pilates gym class I received a bottle of wine from one class member who thanked me for the virtual classes through lockdown that helped her stay sane and fit and a box of chocolates from my first member of Yoga For Cancer - now on our 3rd year. I'm humbled. Had my 2nd vaccine today!. The guy who injected me Mark, told me he was a yoga teacher - made it even better!

    Welcome Stacy and Jules!

Lilac, thanks for the update, your family is in my heart (no pun intended).

Saw mom yesterday. We've reverted to window visits as a new resident tested positive for COVID so the place is back on lock-down. They test everyone weekly, residents and staff, and won't open back up for inside visits until everyone's tests are negative for two consecutive weeks. It was sprinkling so put on a hoodie and got damp. I will take what I can get. It was raining full-on by the time I got home so napped while DH was at his Weds poker game and the house was quiet. Walked after supper and again this morning.

Sunny here today, left my desk and took a short walk. Body aches from Arimidex, but i am trying to push through. I've never liked my body but i am determined to make it the best it can be to carry me through old age... i have 8 grand kids so far.. more reason to get moving.
i need to make some goals, set them, keep them, achieve them.... not my best talent
    enjoy your day! ~S

Stacy, when I started Arimdex, I asked a friend who was on it for some tips. She said, "Keep moving, keep moving, keep moving." So....I did, and it definitely helped.

Pound this morning, Dance2fit tonight. I may try a new class called Yoga Strength.

Bruno is off restrictions.Thank goodness!! He has felt fine and has all this excess energy he wasn't allowed to burn off, so has been driving us nuts! We already went to the Dog Park this morning and, since DS took a couple days off for yardwork, I think we are meeting up for a walk or hike with them this afternoon.

I love seeing everyone's workout photos and scenic photos from your walks/hikes etc

I found out this week that I can switch from OS+Arimidex to Tamoxifen only.

Im quite happy but also scared, I got used to the side effects from those meds and dont know what to expect with Tamoxifen.

In order to keep up my water intake and fight dehydration, I purchased a gallon bottle from amazon. So far I dont feel bloated.

    Hey, everyone!

Jinx27, ymmv, and I only just started on Tamoxifen, but so far I am loving it! I was having horrible night sweats and hot flashes constantly before, and now I feel so much better and am not having to wash nearly as many soaked-through shirts and sheets!

I saw my PS the other day and was reeeeeally hoping she'd clear me for more exercise. She didn't. *sigh*. So.

Today I walked my dog for an hour and change this morning. I did a 40 min. of PT exercises from "before cancer." I took my dog for a nighttime walk.

Tomorrow I will do the same. That's my current plan for everyday until 5/31, when I am cleared to start doing other things again.

Saltmarsh, you are very wise to wait until you are cleared. Lots of people don't and end up setting themselves back.
