Susan - I am pretty much positive I was wearing the wrong bra size pre-bc. I just never thought band size was important. It was all about cup size. I wore my 36 A's and some B's without a care. Wow, now being a 32 DD I get the size/band importance- thing better.

Sue - I sometimes wonder if I could stand to try a 30 band. I haven't yet, but some of my 32's I was fit in at Nordies fit fine, but I wonder if the band is still right. I wear it on the last notch, eh, who knows? I kind of go by the feel of the fit now instead of the number...buuuut, I did get a good laugh at your "E" measurement!!! :-) who woulda thunk it a few months back, right!!!

I've spent the past hour reading all of the posts I've missed here!  Just did my revision surgery on Sept 6, so I have new TEs and will have the exchange in November.  I was trying to absob all of the conversation about FG.  My new PS does this with full lipo, but at a surgery center that is ALL out of pocket, so we told him before revision that we would not do FG so make it look good without it!!  We will see, but even now I can start to see the step off as the swelling goes down.  I did learn from my BS that usually the upper pole fat is removed during a MX, but she biopsied it during the surgery and when it was clear she left it, so she had a conversation with PS to let him know there is fat for a nice slope if he does a good pocket!  Thank goodness they've worked together in past years and respect each other.  So we will see in Nov!  Who knows, I may be having to read all of these FG posts again next year, but at this point I am planning for the best.

And all this talk about bra sizing.  Hee hee, it would just be nice to finally have the same size foobs, since 3 lumpectomies made me a B on one side and a C on the other.  I've heard of a bra store about an hour from me (near L.A.) that solely focuses on women with BC and fitting them after reconstruction. I think I will take my BFF and check it out around Christmas.  Maybe even buy something new and PRETTY!  Makes me wonder if I've been wearing the wrong size all these years!  I learn so much from all of you.

Lago - the Halloween picture was fabulous.  I had a good laugh! :-)

Megan I would definitely give a 30 a try!  I am a 30 in Freya, Chantelle and Simone Perele.  In a 32 I am on the tightest notch.  Youd be surprised how GOOD they actually feel when they are a little on the snug side!  I want to get back to Nordstroms but its a trip from my house.  I dont really NEED any more bras but Id love to give some more different ones a try - and then get on Ebay!

After reading about everyone with smaller implants than me being 32DD's - maybe I should give those a try!  A couple of my 32D's feel like my cups runneth over sometimes!

    SueBC

I'm remembering not long after I started following this thread that there was teasing about SueBCD.  Do we jump to SueBCE or leave the "d" in place - SueBCDE?

I don't care what size bra I wear as long as they are not as huge as they were before. Cute and perky is the goal! When I discussed this with Whippet mom before I had the tissue expanders removed, she thought the PS was right on the money with the 550 ccs and moderate plus mentor silicone implants. Not sure what she would think this time, but I think they look good and this time will be high profile. I am concerned that with the HP's the slope will not be there as I have a friend who had a bmx and has high profile ones, and they are "Hello, I'm here" kind of foods. Not big but very attention getting.

My PS does the fat grafting around the breast. I told him about you girls having it put in your armpit hollows, not really sure what you were talking about. He showed me where it would likely be, but said one side should be just fine. The other side, he won't know for sure until it is in.

I think I can deal with the hollow, but I cannot deal with an armpit boob. Do not want the fat!

Minustwo - thats right!!!  Lets take a walk down the alphabet!

Fluff - its JUST what you said - its not the cup size..the manufacturers play with sizes - its how they look and feel on you.

If mine were called C's Id be happy as its what I ended up asking for.  I'm glad they look good, feel good and I have my health!

As far as measuring goes, you are right it takes a special person. I think I mentioned that I work part time in the home department at Macy's. Lingerie is included in that. I hate it. We occassionally have to fill in there to cover lunches, etc. I swear that every person who hasn't showered in a week or is so huge we don't carry the sizes to fit them, waits until I am down there to come in and want to be fitted. Or, they are standing naked in their fitting room and want me to adjust their bra.

It is just more than I can take, and consequently, I probably don't do the best fitting job. I just want to measure and get it over with....with their shirts ON!

The rest of the staff laugh their butts off when I have to go down there and I swear they pick out people and send them down, telling them we are having fitting specials.

fluffqueen01 I have never had any kind of service other than check out at Macy's lingerie department.   If I ask for where something is they just point and that department is hugs in both stores in Chicago.  It was so bad one time I actually sent a complaint online… and will no longer purchases anything in the Chicago Michigan Ave store. Worst retail experience I ever had in my life. I wish you worked in the Chicago store… I'm thin, shower and can even get my bras on myself.

Another thing about Macy's lingerie dept. is they put the merchandise way too high. I'm 5'6" usually in 2" heels with long arms and can barely reach. After my BMX I could reach that high and ended up not buy some camis because I couldn't reach the ones that would fit (and of course the sales help, I mean staff was MIA). I even had to use the handi-cap dressing room because I couldn't reach the hooks to hang the clothes.

Lago-I just re-read my post and noticed how I kept saying "down there" like I was being sent to hell or something. LOL. It is literally just down the hall.

We are mid-size store, but the stores in Indianapolis have good customer service as a rule. In fact, when my daughter was in school in Ohio and now, in California, I would say I have had good experiences at all of them. In fact, the Macy's in Costa Mesa might be my favorite one ever. It is literally 3 separate stores....home, men's and then womens. I do love the State Street store in Chicago, especially at the holidays. It is just beautiful.

You are right to file a complaint online, Use names. That is huge and will almost always get results.

Oh....all our bra and cami racks are floor level. There is one back wall that goes up a row or so higher, but still manageable. So, come on down to Indy and I will measure you carefully and happily! Just keep your clothes on.

fluffqueen01 I forgot to mention the last time I was in Macy's trying on bras (state st of course) I started chatting with the woman in the stall next to mine in the dressing room. We were the only ones in there at the time. (No one was helping us). Anyway she too was a recent survivor. She went smaller and looked great. She said she was a  B but she was a larger woman so her B was probably about the size of my "D"s. She was very happy with her smaller size.

LOL Lago...my mantra was strength and courage while on chemo. I said it every day while trying to meditate, etc.

Now...it is "cute and perky!" I stnd topless in front of the mirror and say it as I am turning side aways. I am also trying to make sure there is no sign of any return rash.

I had on a Warner's B noon-wire bra today. I really think I probably will end up a small C or so when all is over. Less than a month now! Woo hoo.

Seriously, my plastic surgeon told me since I go to California pretty often to see my daughter, he was going to put in 800's at exchange. That way I could join the Beverly Hills Housewifes.

    He thinks he is funny.

He is the cutest thing ever. My husband says we have a big sister, younger brother relationship. I told him that when this is over, I have many notes and I am revising the information he gives to women to be more detailed and also providing him with tips to make him a better patient friendly doctor. Although giving me his cell phone number and telling me to text him is way up there.

He is mid-30's, very gifted, and is going to be hugely successful. Already is pretty good. My urologist asked me who I was going to and when I told him, he said, "Oh, he is excellent, you made a good choice." I figure when the male urologist, who has no reason to have an opinion says that, he must be wel thought of.

I love my PS too, fluffqueen!  Mine is young as well (just had his first baby with his wife) and laughs at my jokes. Tongue out  I'm going to miss him and his staff when I am done!

I'm just laughing here thinking of you telling someone... "My plastic surgeon is really great...even my urologist thinks so!"

I can't believe that this thread has been so quiet.  This is usually a busy one! I hope everyone is well. Foobs are still looking fine with the TE's. Just got to get them through three more weeks!

Jan is NIPPED!  It went very smoothly!!!  Check in time to surgery to buying bagels on the way out to the car was about an hour!  I cant get over how fast!

I had a CV flap done to try to avoid the thick scar (not so good blood supply).  It looks great and cant wait to get it out from under its piratey patch (Yes, my nipple guard is actually a pirate eye patch - like a swim goggle but flatter).

I was awake - 4 shots of lidocane (spelling?) in the breast for JUST IN CASE but I didnt feel anything.  She had me look at certain times so I could watch the magic.  It was so cool to be able to see what was going on and watch the nipple form.  My DH was even in the room enjoying it.  She suspects it will match the other side for about a year and then have a little less projection than Marcia - but this is all normal.  As long as I keep it from rubbing on clothes or bumping it with stuff (like hoding a stack or books or something) it should be just fine!

I cant do anything until tuesday when I get the stitches out (the internal ones are dissolvable) and then I can return to normal.  Oh I am SO happy to be through it!!!

    I have an outie!!!  LOL

Woot! Woot!  Wow! That sure was fast, wasn't it?  So cool that you got to be awake and watch it. I would be totally fascinated.

I see you hadn't changed your siggy yet. ;) ... though ..with this "swim goggle pirate patch" you may need to temporarily change it it (oYO). Tongue out
